I too am amazed. After just three days of taking 2 teaspoons of molasses a day, I noticed my hands were lot less painful. Now after about a month there is rarely any pain at all, the awful grating noise in my thumb joints has practically disappeared and my hands look a lot less swollen and deformed. How does it work??!!

Cayenne

I read that cayenne pepper could alleviate excruciating pain of arthritis that I had in two fingers on my left hand. I'd awaken daily in pain to find my pinky and ring finger locked in a bent position and it would hurt very much to straighten. I would run hot water over them and it would get worse as weeks went on. I had been playing the piano several hours daily and most likely was the cause of this very painful arthritis, a common piano players ailment that if left unchecked would end my piano playing and use of two fingers. My fingers were dying it seemed. I met several ex-piano players who had exactly the same symptoms and quit playing because of the pain. Anyway, after reading Edgar Cayce's remedies with topical use of Castor Oil I thought it would be good to mix the Cayenne Pepper with Castor Oil so the mixture would stick to my fingers. So before bedtime, I'd take a paper hand towel and cut it to about 10x6 inches, wet it and squeeze excess water out until just very damp, then fold it to 10x2 (triple thick); now I'd mix some cayenne into some castor oil until very orangey/red and smear it on the first four inches (to cover both sides of fingers) of the paper towel and also smear some on my fingers; then I'd wrap my fingers with this bandage and excess paper, and finally a rubber band not too tight holding it all together. Every night I'd do this and take it off in the morning and there was noticeable reduction in pain immediately first day and more use of my fingers and after three months I was 80% normal and within nine months I was completely healed.

I started using Borax the powder about 2 months ago. I have been dealing with arthritis in my knees, pain in my ankles, and I had one hip replaced. I used the one teaspoon dissolved in about a liter of water and I was initially taking two tablespoons once in the morning. In two days, the pain in my lower body disappeared. I kept waiting for it to return, thinking this is too good to be true. It has not returned and I'm walking like I did 20 years ago! I love Borax! After about a month I reduced to two teaspoons a day. I call it my magic potion!

ORH here,,,,,,,,,,,,,, hands now ache and SJS, I figured it out on my own. When this stuff started, then I bought a water filter. We have used our well water going through an Alkaline Ionizer for some 10 or 12 years. The world is coming to an end so you must have a filter that will clean up water from a cow track. So I bought one. We then stopped using our alkaline ionizer to fill our half gallon of water with a 1/4 tsp of borax. What a miss step that was. After 3 months of no borax, my hand joints now ache. The joints are all headed in different angles. I have out-smattered my self. Not a problem........ I said I would be smart at age 85. and have one and a half years to get there. I so smart that I's going back to before I got so smart. Does that make sense?

I am 74 yrs old and am a massage therapist. I put my hands through a lot of work. In the morning I used to wake up with stiff hands and pain during the day. I started taking organic sulfur and in two days the pain disappeared. There are different sources of sulfur, but make sure it is organic. I take the powder- it doesn't taste good, so camouflage it. Caps would be better.

Cinnamon and Honey

On January 17, 1995, Beatrice Dexter's article about the benefits of honey and cinnamon powder appeared in The Weekly World News. It was the tabloid sold at the grocery store checkout line, with headlines like “Bat Boy” and “I Married Bigfoot.”… I miss those papers; they were hilarious.

https://books.google.fm/books?id=B_IDAAAAMBAJ&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_ge_summary_r&cad=0#v=onepage&q&f=false

Arthritis patients should take, twice a day (morning and night), a cup of hot water with two tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder. When taken regularly, even chronic arthritis can be cured.

A research at the Copenhagen University observed doctors treating their patients with a mixture of 1 tbsp honey and 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder before breakfast. Within a week, out of the 200 people treated, 73 patients were totally relieved of pain; within a month, almost all the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis started walking without pain. Arthritis patients should take, twice a day (morning and night), a cup of hot water with two tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder. When taken regularly, even chronic arthritis can be cured.

I've been taking Ceylon cinnamon (sticks ground into a powder using my coffee grinder). I've been at it now for 2 1/2 weeks and I can tell a difference. My joints are not as stiff. I plan on doing this for a full 6 weeks and I'll report back with results.

I was in my late 60s when arthritis flared up in my ankles, some days it was so bad I had difficulty even getting out of bed, it seemed to come and ease off. I suspected it may have been an intolerance, so along the route of modern medicine I eventually hit the buffers when I finally saw a Rheumatologist who assured me they could "manage" my condition not cure, only manage. Great. So this is how I cleared my arthritis, I was diagnosed as being wheat intolerant by a Kinesiologist.

So my cure turns out to be NO grains that is:

NO wheat, rice, oats, rye, corn

NO sugar - you knew this already

No processed foods this includes processed meats, sausages, bacon, pies et. al. we all know what those bad boys are, anything containing chemicals preservative etc. they don't belong in your body.

Its up to you. Try it - its not easy. A small price to pay to get you're life back tho.

Of course you may intolerant to something else find out yourself what that something is, your doctor has absolutely no idea, they are on the whole incompetent and unable to cure.

Good Luck

I just want to thank the people who set up this website. I was experiencing painful arthritis in both shoulders and I found your site and read about using Turmeric. That was several weeks ago and now I can truly say that taking the Turmeric has changed everything! The pain is nearly gone. I still have some slight discomfort, but nothing like I was going through before the Turmeric. I am praising God for His wonderful herbs and for inspiring all of the folks who write in with their testimonies. I take two 400 mg capsules three times a day and one 500 mg ginger capsule 3 times a day. This site is the best!!! Plus, I have contacted several people on the site who were so helpful and responded with great advice and encouragement. Health and blessings to all.

They say that "sorry" is the hardest word.

Imho, patience runs it a very close second place.

I too have recently started with Borax, as other users on this site looking for help, pushed by desperation & frustration in looking for a solution to relieve pain.

Stay with it. A positive mind approach is always another important factor. I'm fully aware as to how that sounds.

Stay with it. And, as always when you need help, ask Him the Lord above for His help and guidance. He brought/guided you to this site, didn't He?

He certainly brought me. And I'm very grateful.

For arthritic fingers and joints

I got a mini plastic spray bottle and began spraying, and massaging with plain white vinegar 2 days ago. Within 2 days I began to be able to start cracking them and 2 that were sitting up seemed a bit better. However what was most remarkable, was 1 of them when I tried to bend sounded like crackling calcification. I kept doing it because I couldn't believe it. I continued hearing it. It's swollen however it's trying to sit back down. It's the middle finger and baby finger.

Flax Oil and Cottage Cheese

10 years ago a friend started me on a tablespoon of flax oil and a tablespoon of cottage cheese daily (the Budwig cure for cancer). After taking it daily for 3 weeks, I woke and my arthritis was gone. I called her up and two others had called recently with the same report. I'd had arthritis in my hands for 10 years by then, since around 35 years old. My mother had the same problem, and her knuckles changed shape in her 60s, causing constant pain and difficulty in movement.

This is not a 'magic bullet': it only helps about 20% of arthritis sufferers. There are several types of arthritis, and this apparently helps my type. It's certainly more useful than the NSAIDs that were only masking the symptoms. I've experimented over the years, and the type or brand of flax oil doesn't matter, nor does the cottage cheese. I do recommend cold-rolled flax oil and not heat extracted, though. The cottage cheese acts as a surfactant, and makes the oil more water-soluble and able to penetrate the cell walls. In Germany Dr. Joanna Budwig used something called 'quark', and cottage cheese is the closest American equivalent. I use low-fat 2% cottage cheese since I'm older and less tolerant of milk fat.

I did another experiment to prove the effectiveness: I quit taking it and went 'cold turkey'. After 2 months, the arthritis returned. I stayed off for a few more months, just to make sure. Then I started taking one tablespoon of flax oil and one tablespoon of cottage cheese again, and 3 weeks later my arthritis was gone again. I duplicated the same experiment 4 years later, just to be doubly sure. Same results: 2 months of no dietary addition, and the arthritis came back, 3 weeks taking it and I'm cured again. Obviously you can skip a week or two while on vacation with little-or-no ill effect.

If you research the 'Budwig Cure', it was originally a solution for cancer, but it's not a 'magic bullet' for cancer, either. You don't need to blend the two as Dr. Budwig suggests; I take one and then the other and let my stomach do the mixing. I do chew the cottage cheese thoroughly to make sure it mixes well in the gut.

Felista, I have arthritis in my knees and they are always popping when I walk upstairs and bend my knees to sit down. I'm trying to cut out meat as I don't think we are supposed to eat meat? Cinnamon and Honey

@ Hollyhock

Sure, I would take the 600mg capsules. Ceylon is perfectly safe. But, so is Cassia. It is the most commom cinnamon spice found at US grocery stores.

I want to take a minute and talk about Cassia cinnamon.

Cassia cinnamon has been used as a medicinal herb in China since 2700BC. It is the 4th most consumed spice on planet earth.

The link between Cassia, Coumarin, and Liver Damage

Though Coumarin is a natural ingredient, it carries a risk for causing “rare liver damage or failure in a small number of sensitive individuals” in large amounts. Cassia cinnamon has high levels (about 0.4-0.8%) of coumarin, those who “have a history of liver issues” and are taking Cinnamon on a daily basis for health reasons should switch to Ceylon Cinnamon, which only has 0.03-0.04% Coumarin. However, Cassia is used extensively in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

In this regard, research varies from study to study on the suggested amount of Cassia cinnamon that may be consumed daily to avoid liver damage, ranging from less than 1-5 grams, or 1½ teaspoon a day. For those that consume more than this amount on a regular, daily basis; switching to Ceylon cinnamon may be a better option.

What would be a Lethal Dosage of Cassia Cinnamon

The median lethal dose of coumarin is set at 275 mg/kg of body weight, and there is only .31g – 6.97g of coumarin in each kg of Cassia cinnamon. So how much needs to be ingested for the average adult, weighing 195.5 lbs. for a minimum lethal dosage?

Answer: The average 195.5lb adult would need to consume roughly 3.5 kilos (123.459 oz) of Cassia Cinnamon to get the amount of coumarin in a day for the minimum lethal dosage. That's about 15 cups of Cassia cinnamon powder. That is insane. Most sane people won't do that. But, I'm sure some D.A. will try it. Hell, they eat tide laundry detergent pods….

This internet fear-mongering of the big brown cinnamon stick boggy monster is hugely over inflated and pointless. More people die from liver damage caused by Tylenol pills then do cassia cinnamon. Each year, about 4,500 people are hospitalizations in Canada occur due to acetaminophen overdose.

In fact, in my lifetime, I've personally seen 3 people die in their 50s from living on Tylenol for chronic pain issues and destroying their livers where, as ‘0' people dead from drinking cinnamon tea or taking cinnamon supplements.

This argument can be made for any prescription drug, OTC medicine or herbal supplement. It all depends on the “general health statis” of the individual take the drug. If you are in general good health, average weight (male 172lb female 144lb), eat healthy, your chances of an “adverse reaction” are slim to none. If you are taking prescription drugs or living on OTC's, then your odds increase. If you are totally dependent on drugs just to function daily and your over all health is poor, over weight, well then you are screwed… don't expect a miracle...

I found one case reported from 2015, From the American Journal of Case Reports

source: https://amjcaserep.com/abstract/index/idArt/892804

Case Report: A 73-year-old woman was seen in the Emergency Department complaining of abdominal pain associated with vomiting and diarrhea after she started taking cinnamon supplements for about 1 week (the report was not specific about which type of cinnamon she was taking). The patient had been taking statin for coronary artery disease for many months. The laboratory workup and imaging studies confirmed the diagnosis of hepatitis. The detail workup did not reveal any specific cause. Cinnamon and statin were held. A few weeks after discharge, the statin was resumed without any further complications. This led to a diagnosis of cinnamon-statin combination-induced hepatitis.

Conclusion: Don't mix cinnamon supplements with statin drugs. (note: she did not die, report does not mention that statins are known to cause liver damage – see more below)

I switch back and forth between ceylon are cassia depending on what I'm trying to achieve in the body. I find that cassia is more drying to the body which is great for mucus condition (i.e. wet cough, congestion in lungs, mucus in the digestive tract...).

Cassia cinnamon is Generally Recongized as Safe by the FDA.

CFR - Code of Federal Regulations Title 21 – Substances Generally Recongized as Safe

https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfcfr/cfrsearch.cfm?fr=182.20

Note by Rob: Will I ever take a statin? Hell NO! And here is the reason why. Over 300 drugs are known to interact with statins.

Here are some side effects of statin drugs:

Hi cj

The rule of borax is

Women 1/8 spoon in 1 leter of water, drink through the day.

Men take 1/4 spoon in 1 leter of water, drink through the day.

Drink 1 bottle a day and stop on weekends so your body does not over load. Do this for supplements as well.

Borax really works, I am 71 and have no joint pain what so ever.

Try it, it works..

Have been struggling with shoulder pain for a year. Sometimes one, sometimes the other and sometimes both. It would often wake me up and greatly reduced range of motion. This seems hard to believe, but it must be the borax because I haven't done anything else differently, but after only 3 or 4 days, there is no more pain in either shoulder! They feel completely normal. I've been taking between 1/8 and 1/4 teaspoon in a liter of water and I drink roughly a cup of it 4 times throughout the day. I will do this daily for 10 days, then I'm going down to 5 days a week. I still have stiffness in my hands and feet upon waking up which hasn't changed much, but it's nothing compared to the pain I had from my shoulders. I'm going to continue taking it for a few months to see how much better I can get my hands and feet to feel.

I stopped by my friend's automotive shop to see how she was doing. While I was there, Billy her chief mechanic walked over to me holding a peanut jar with red powder. I asked “what is that”? He said, remember you told me to take a tablespoon full of jello-gelatin in a glass of water every day for arthritis in my elbows and knees? I said yea, and what happened? Billy said, no more pain. They don't hurt at all. It took about 10 days, but it worked for him. He stopped for a while, and the arthritis started to come back so now he does a maintenance dose every day.

I had extreme pain in my hands like fire ice at night while sleeping. Couldn't move crying numb . Must have been parasites. I applied liquid ivermectin for cattle with dmso and instantly over a few days it began to cure. It came back many times and many times I did it again I started to do it daily and up my arms. Eventually, it never came back. This remedy would work in many places - neck, feet, stomach, back etc

Hi Joe,

From your query as to whether there is a replacement for cottage cheese in the cottage cheese/flaxseed mix, I assume you're interested in following Dr Budwig's protocol.

She does in the first instance recommend quark which is more refined than cottage cheese, e.g.no lumps. And I'm sure you're aware that quark/cottage cheese are a rich source of sulphur. Sulphur being highly recommended as a supplement if suffering from arthritis, and usually taken in the form of tablets/capsules. So cottage cheese/quark are essential for the Budwig Diet and I don't know of a substitute.

We've all got our likes and dislikes, but cottage cheese is so mild, so bland, I cannot quite understand anyone's aversion to it. And as Dr Budwig suggests the mixture can be sweetened with honey, fruit added, nuts, and added milled flaxseed.

I, too, suffer from arthritis, but kept reasonably well until four/five months ago when I had a massive flare-up of pain. Couldn't swear to it that it was arthritis, but the pain was so bad there were times when I didn't want to carry on living. However, sought help on Earth Clinic and tried this and that remedy, but they didn't really help the pain. Then 3rd July 2021 (I made a note of it in my diary) I started taking the flaxseed oil and cottage cheese mix, and within three days the pain was gone. It felt as though I was firing on all cylinders.

Now I cannot say with all certainty whether it was due to the flaxseed mix, I think it was, but who can say, I'm just grateful. I'm not entirely pain free, but I can cope with the bit of pain I have, and I'm back to doing my beloved walking. Also, I now take one cup of Kefir a day, plus a healthy diet.

I wish you well on your journey.

Dear Connieyes,

My new favorite way of taking turmeric is in a liquid supplement I found at Costco. Qunol. I have seen it on Amazon, too. It does have the black pepper in it, but you can't taste it. Not sure how they got turmeric so palatable, but I got my 11 year old to take some today without batting an eye.

I had been taking turmeric capsules, but I have found this liquid turmeric to be more effective for joint pain.

Hi Gordon... Bicarbs and alkalizing will certainly help but borax is the main cure for arthritis. Arthritis is normally caused by mycobacteria and other associated bacteria. Mycobacteria are bacteria with no cell wall that have fungal-like behaviour. Borax is the ultimate fungal killer. So the best solution is just to take borax in higher dose as recommended on this site together with magnesium oil (60% magnesium chloride and 40% water) which you can just rub into the troublesome area for transdermal absorption.

Follow-up from my 1st post 3/19/23. Today is 8/27/23, and I wanted to give a follow-up report. I'm still taking the borax, I'm now taking 1/8 teaspoon a day, Mon-Fri, and none on weekends. I'm still pain free, no arthritis, no sciatic nerve pain in back and legs, and no carpet tunnel. I initially felt a surge of energy and well-being, but that reduced after about a month of taking borax. Although I was basically pain free, I started to have less energy like I had before taking borax. But I tried changing my diet, and so far I've felt better and have more energy. I've gone basically (added)sugar-free, wheat-free and corn -free, and I definitely feel better with more energy!!! I still eat some potatoes, some rice, fruit, but I try to eat half the portions I use to, and this has helped my energy a lot!!! I've cut out sweets, candy, cakes, cookies, pies, ice cream, cereals, milk, (everything I love! ). If you have low energy, you will know in 2 weeks if this diet change works! Do not try to go carb-free!!! It will ruin your metabolism like it did mine years ago!

AILORA,,,,,,, all I do is read and have been at the stuff for many moons. The guy that knows more about how DMSO works was Dr Jacobs and he is with our maker. What I would like to tell you is that DMSO will get magnesium far into your joints to relieve your pain. His book said to used 50% above your waist and 75% below your waist. Use your magnesium oil first and then coat that with the DMSO. Your best bet is to read his book on DMSO and MSM. MSM is the product of mixing Hydrogen Peroxide and DMSO. It will be far more effective than Magnesium. We use the MSM from the farm co-op that they use on million dollar horses. I can promise you that it is as pure as it gets. I ain't worth a million dollars.

Won't get started on another story, but if you go back in the EC archives, all my DMSO tales are there when the Bogalusa, La. Paper Mill made DMSO from their black liquor. It is now made from methane gas in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Even Ted Kennedy could not get DMSO accepted with his congressional hearings way back when. He could not stand up to Big Pharma. $ has always talked and it does so today.

If all think we have health problems now, just wait until Gen 5 is up and going. You will be living in a micro wave constantly. Just think of that microwave cartoon many years ago of that bubbly melting face in the door. That will be me and you. Is life grand or what?
