Thank you All for your posts regarding using Vitamin E

I too suffered with Bartholin cysts for many years. I had the marsupialization surgery once and decided never again. I've used many suggested remedies over the years and none worked until I saw your post about vitamin E. I used a 1000 mg tab. solgar brand. I applied to area before bedtime. It wasn't messy, no discharge, the cyst was just gone. Thank you, thank you, thank you

Lancing a Bartholin Cyst

I lanced my own Skene's cyst. This was after starting iodine 2% for several days along with other things like applying Prid salve and then also doterra on guard roller and melaleuca roller to the cyst. I had it for about a week and then was able to do this. It was painless!

Tea tree oil for Bartholin Cyst

I woke up Wednesday morning and felt a Bartholin cyst. This is my second one. My first one was about a year ago and I didn't know what to do, so I spent almost a week in bed in pain. I had a lot to do and I have to go on a roadtrip next week so I knew I wasn't going to be able to drag this out and I wouldn't be able to ride in the car with all of the pain.

Right away Wednesday morning I started putting castor oil and 2 drops of tea tree oil on gauze. I had it on the cyst all day. It was not painful, just irritating. Thursday I was able to go to work and I just put more castor oil and tea tree oil on it. It was getting more uncomfortable all day, but it wasn't painful. When I got home I started feeling more pain. I saw on here that turmeric is good for it, so I put turmeric powder in castor oil and let it sit for about 2 hours. When I took the gauze off there was blood, and I knew that was a good sign. Then I took a hot bath in Epsom salt and tried to loosen the cyst up on my own by touching it. I put new gauze on with castor oil, tea tree oil, and frankincense oil on it. I put really hot water in a water bottle and slept with the water bottle between my legs. At 2 am I woke up because I felt it draining.

I'm so grateful for all of the suggestions because it went from a week of pain and not knowing what to do to being able to drain and heal it in 2 days. Thanks so much.

Once the cyst burst is the vulva tender or do you get a throbbing feeling where the cyst was? I was completing the tea tree oil method. A week later it disappeared I didn't even feel it burst. But now where it was located it has a throbbing feeling. Is that normal? Thank you 😊

Kelsey,

Thank you for the shout out about for Vitamin E and thank you to previous posts that inspired you. while I am rolling, posting, I must shout out about Vitamin also.

Not long after I read your post, my daughter told me of her situation with cyst. I would usually reply sit in some hot Epson salt water. As I recalled your post in the Recent Posts section of Earth Clinic's. I told her someone posted that if you put vitamin E on the cyst today, it will be gone today. She opened a gelcap and applied it to the cyst. She forgot to tell me the verdict, so yesterday, which was about two day later I ask her did it work. She said the cyst was gone. Praise the Lord! It works!

I have been suffering from a Bartholin cyst for about a week now. It was so big, it was affecting me walking and sitting and was super tender. I have had one before and had to get it drained at a hospital and it was the most painful thing I had ever experienced. I did not want to go through that again!! So I started researching and on this website I found only two people saying they used Vitamin E oil and I had already tried epsom salt baths, drawing salve, and castor oil but nothing would work. Well within 3 hours of using vitamin E oil it formed a head and started draining!! The best thing ever!!

I’m going to be long winded so bear with me, please. I recently noticed a lump and found out it was a Bartholin cyst. It wasn’t hurting too bad until Sunday afternoon. I didn’t have pain, it was more uncomfortable because of the knot. I started doing research on natural cures because I have had a pilonidal before that I had to get lanced and it was an awful experience. I was young and embarrassed and I didn’t know what it was so I waited too long and the local anesthesia didn’t work and it was the worst pain I’ve ever experienced so I was determined not to have that happen again. When I realized that this cyst was getting sore I started researching and I want to help someone else get rid of it naturally like I did. I tried a few things to get rid of it but I want to let you know what I think worked.

First of all I started with the sitz baths. I probably did 4-5 a day where I sat over boiling water and let the steam hit the cyst. I put apple cider vinegar, epsom salt, and witch hazel in with the boiling water. I also did a few baths where I sat in the water as hot as I could stand with the same ingredients. I was using a drawing salve, but I’m not sure if that worked or not. It seems like it might have brought things to the surface but it didn’t really help the cyst break loose. It wasn’t painful until Tuesday night.

I looked for answers here and I saw that a lot of people recommended tea tree oil. I’m scared of tea tree because I’ve burned myself with it a few times but I took a chance. I put only one drop with a lot of carrier oil. I used castor oil. And I also put 3 drops in my bath and one drop in my sitz bath. I’m not sure if I would do that again because it did make me feel really itchy that night and I was scared I might have burned myself again. I think I would stick with one drop of tea tree with a bunch of carrier oil on a gauze pad for a half hour and not put it in the bath water.

I went to bed in pretty bad pain and I put drawing salve and castor oil on overnight bc I was feeling itchy and dry from the tea tree. I woke up Wednesday morning in really bad pain and I was about to go into the ER to have it lanced. I took another bath and put a gauze pad soaked in witch hazel on it. I took a few ibuprofen to help the swelling and my mom made me a drink with pineapple, ginger and coconut water to help with inflammation. I also took a turmeric shot that I found at Aldi and I’ve been taking turmeric vitamins for the past 2 days. The pain started going away so I decided to hold off on the er visit because I switched insurance and I wasn’t sure of the hospital I would have to go to. I wanted to go to sleep so I lay in bed, and I started to feel it drain. I’ve never been so happy. I laid on my side, hoping gravity would help it drain more. I think the best thing is to dry it out. Maybe the drawing salve worked, but for me it seemed like the pain went away when I used the tea tree and the witch hazel and it got worse when I used the castor oil and the drawing salve and kept it moist. I hope I don’t get another one but I’m happy I’ll know how to take care of it if I do. And hopefully, knowing what I know now, I’ll be able to get it over with much sooner.

I hope this can help someone because the previous posts on here helped me a lot.

I had this Bartholin cyst since Monday (Today is Friday) yesterday it started to hurt really badly so I started googling and found this page.

I bought Teatree oil and some coconut Oil.

Yesterday night I mixed a Teaspoon of coconut with 4 drops of the oil, put it on a pad and wore it for 20 Minutes. There was an Instant pain release.

This Morning I did the same thing again.

2 hours later, I made myself a warm bath with 2 tablespoons of tea tree Oil and Camille for 10 minutes. After that, I wanted to lay down and the cyst burst (maybe 5 minutes after the bath) now the pain is gone and it feels so much better than befoer. I wish I would have found this sooner! Thanks to this site!

Surgery

I've had marsupialization surgery twice. When you're in acute pain and nothing else works, it really helps because the pain is gone immediately after surgery. The healing process itself was ok for me, it took about 1.5 weeks before I could easily sit down for a longer time and about 6 weeks before I could have sex again.

But for me, it didn't really last and I've had a new cyst forming in the same place just weeks after both surgeries. I'm happy for everyone who got rid of their cyst via surgery but most sites seem to imply that after marsupialization, no cyst will ever happen again in that place again which just wasn't true for me.

I read about tea tree oil treatment in Barthlion cyst condition. I put a few drops of Tea tree oil with some Alum powder in small round bath tub. I sat for 10 minutes and press over the cyst gently. My cyst bursted its own in next 10 minutes . I couldn't believe it as I was so much in pain that I was screaming day and night for the past 4 days. I was given antibiotics and painkillers by the doctor and A&E but nothing helped. Thus was an amazing treatment. Thanks.

Bartholin Cyst:

Treating early is the key, it drained overnight. I poured a few drops on a cotton ball and held it against the affected area for a few minutes and then repeated an hour later. You can dilute the tea tree oil with coconut oil or jojoba oil if it burns, it can be a little strong. Use witch hazel to soothe. I wore a pad to bed and it drained overnight.

The sitz bath made me feel sick, the pain was awful so I stopped. The ball grew double in size/became hard and couldn't even wear shorts without pain! Could not sit/walk for days!!!

In bed, laying down using Tea Tree Oil (3-4 drops) with Coconut oil (1/2 teaspoon) as a carrier directly on abscess/cyst followed by placing a warm compress/bag of gel (bought at the pharmacy for 2 dollars) wrapped in cloth. Feel relief.

Western Medicine says there is no way to prevent or cannot deal with it really if no infection aside from a warm compress or salt bath. That they just happen again and again. This is no walk in the park! I found a solution. Posting here for anyone looking for alternative medicine answers.

I personally got Neem tea to drink my Kanchanar Guggulu Pills (2x a day).

Tea Tree Oil for Bartholin Cyst

I apply tea tree oil with a cotton wool bud to the affected and surrounding area several times a day. I do this until it drains. This remedy has worked over 5-6 times for me! I plan to avoid tight clothing and have a hot bath at least once a week to avoid infection again. It's awfully painful and can be scary I'm thankful to have this site for guidance!.

Bartholins cyst may be related to hydradenitis suppurativa. I have had good luck using flax seed oil capsules by mouth. Taken regularly, it prevents these vaginal cysts/boils and will also help one resolve if its already started. I used to have them frequently in my younger days. Once I started using flax seed oil regularly I stopped getting them. And prior to that it was so bad I could hardly work.

Epsom Salt

Editor's Choice

I discovered I had a Bartholin cyst two weeks ago. It was the size of a grape. I read up on DIY home remedies and tried several things like applying a clay paste, apple cider vinegar compresses castor oil with tea tree essential oil massages and sitz baths. These seemed helpful at first because the swelling seemed to reduce during the night but suddenly, the cyst got really hard and painful. (Now I realize that it must have been in its way to bursting which is the goal) I did more research and decided to try epsom salt baths and magnesium sulfate paste application. That did the trick. After my first sitz bath with half a cup of epsom salt followed by an application of the paste, the cyst burst a couple of hours later. Then I took another bath to disinfect and applied more paste.

The cyst is gone but there is still some hardness or tension in that area. I'm not sure If it's the gland or just ligaments. Hopefully, my gland will heal, the duct will be unclogged and the infection will subside.

Hello there.

I've been suffering from these bartholin cysts for years now and I was about to get my gland removed when just by chance I gave zinc oxide a try, simply because I use that ointment for literally EVERYTHING. and I couldn't believe the way this cured me!! If you are looking for a higher concentration of the zinc oxide, I got mine in Tijuana Mexico where I live, but maybe you can order it online, I don't know but it's called Pasta de Lassar and is for babies and skin problems.

i love this product, I will consider the rest of these recommedations,

thank you

I've just gotten one... I read the comments and unfortunately I see that the previous person hasn't replied... but I am using straight tea-tree oil and put it on a tissue like they described. It burns a bit but isnt terrible. I also saw someone else said they used 100% tea-tree oil they just use some coconut oil afterwards cause the tea-tree oil kinda dries it out down there. Hopefully this helps!

Thank you for any help!!

Alum

Alum for Bartholin's gland Cyst.

I get mucocele's in my mouth sometimes and found the alum cure here on this website. It works every time, and the mucocele goes away within a week. (a mucocele is a blocked saliva duct on the inside of your lip). So, when I got a bartholin's gland cyst, I thought it was pretty similar to a mucocele: blocked duct, similar environment of the body). So I tried the alum on the bartholin's gland cyst, and sure enough it healed it. I put the alum directly on the cyst for about 15 minutes every night. Then rinsed it off, making sure not to get the alum anywhere else.

After about a week, the cyst was about 80% gone, and I stopped using it, and now a month or so later, it is completely gone. Hope this can help someone else.

I had this terrible cyst about a year ago and I noticed it started to swell again several days ago and I immediately started to panic because my first experience was extremely painful and scary. I got it lanced the first time because that was all I knew but I'm a strong believer in natural remedies so I stumbled upon this site and saw quite a few but I wanted to to witch hazel, tea tree oil diluted with coconut oil but eventually excluded the coconut and just used tea tree and the witch hazel. I also did hot baths with epsom salt and when I ran out of epsom salt I used sea salt and soaked for about 20 min each time. I would do hot compress and immediately after I'd apply the tea tree oil and then the witch hazel and by the 3rd or fourth day it had burst in the wee hours of the morning (which was today) I felt so much relief as the pain was excruciating! Thanks so much for your stories they have really helped. I no longer have to go under the knife, thank God! Well wishes to all. :)
