Caraway Seed Tea

Can't wait to try the Activated Charcoal, but in the meantime I've discovered that putting 1/2 tsp. of Caraway Seeds in your Tea (I'am using Red Clover right now, but Anise Tea would be "far" better), AND the combination of taking 1 tsp. whole mustard seeds (doesn't matter the color, I'am taking yellow), with water 3 times a day, (don't bite the mustard seeds, swallow whole) I can actually FEEL the combination fighting the bad bacteria, and I'am releasing more gas, but need to start using allspice in everything too! It's anti-flatulance as well!
Cumin

We are of Arab descent. Today I had very gas pains and I asked my mother what to do. I usually drink anise tea to relieve pain but since it was much more acute this time I asked her if there was another treatment. She told me to put some cumin in my tea and drink it. It worked! She was surprised I didn't know this and told me how everyone uses it as a reliable cure. I don't mind the taste and drank about half a teaspoon of cumin powder in my green tea. Feel better already!

Ginger Ale also seems to help break up the trapped gas right away.

The aluminum in baking soda might not be good for pain in your kidneys. Aluminum is in many gas medicines, but it can damage your kidneys in large amounts. Go to the doctor if you've taken a lot of it and your kidneys bother you.
EC: Baking soda does not contain aluminum. It is nothing more than NaHCO3
Swedish Bitters

Swedish bitters have, in my experience, been unbeatable for the relief of bloating, gas and constipation.
The intial recipe for bitters was attributed to Paracelsus in the 15th century. It was then revived by Jonathan Samst in the 18th century and later made popular by Maria Treben.
The Swedish Bitters elixir's benefits are numerous. It promotes biliary, pancreatic and gastric secretion, disinfects the intestinal track, relieves bloating, flatulence, cramps and nausea, encourages toxin elimination and is a gentle laxative. A teaspoon in the morning and evening diluted in water greatly improved my digestive health following a long episode of bloating.

Gripe Water was immediate relief for chronic belching/gas. I saw that reference in your 'remedies'. I put three droppers' full into any beverage after I've eaten anything. Thank you to the person(s) who recommended this. I found it in Walgreen's baby aisle.

Coconut Oil

Lou, you realize what your issue is don't you? You do know what you're taking... Black walnut, cloves and wormwood... Is for parasites. Clearly if that's working for you and you have these symptoms, that's the problem you're dealing with. You should do a full cleanse with the combination you're taking and solve your problem. Also eat a non-parasite diet (no sugar, foods they don't like such as carrots, cranberry and garlic) along with it and get rid of the 'disharmony' (my acupuncturist has a nice way of talking about these things).

Hi, Try this I have used this method twice both times with good results, take an 8oz cup of hot water into which you put 1/2 tspn (teaspoon)of ( WHITE PEPPER) mix and drink slowly or sip, then perform the 2 following exercises: standup and stretch hands above your head, then bend at the waist and try and touch your toes bend as far as you can, come back up to a standing position and then rotate your hips first one way then the other (the same motion you would use if you had a hoolah hoop) try and repeat all of the above till the gas clears, god bless.... may you be well soon.
Baking Soda

As I'm writing this I can feel my stomach bubble from the baking soda. I also took two mild charcoal tablets and I'm sipping on tea. I've only gotten this sort of pain twice in my life, the last time it felt like I had a baby inside me trying to rip its way out. That was intense. I went to the hospital as I was really worried - they couldn't do anything as the beds were full and told me to wait! I eventually got better after originally taking 5 pills of two different pain killers, but jeez I wish they gave me reassurance that it was wind!
Nonetheless, with my story told, don't sit around wallowing in pain like I did for the las half hour. Get off your bum and make some herbal tea, scull some baking soda mixture, and invest in some charcoal tablets.

I take coconut oil capsules. They clear constipation. They are also anti-fungal. They work great! I too get this appendix like pain and found that if I take two wormwood combination capsules (cloves, wormwood and black walnut hull), the pain goes away. Just take 2 before eating for a couple of weeks.

I always use about a teaspoon of Baking Soda dissolved in about 1/4 cup of warm water, for heartburn/too much stomach acid. It works immediately unlike Rolaids, etc and is not only cheap but usually readily available at home.
I brush my teeth with it too. I first put toothpaste on the brush and dip it in a small plastic container I keep in my bathroom. It removes plaque instantly and helps to keep my breath fresher.
I sprinkle about 1/2 a cup each week on top of the cat litter in the cat box to keep it from smelling. It works great in humid or rainy weather.

Be careful when drinking Apple Cider Vinegar neat as it can ruin the enamel of your teeth. Drink it with a straw so that it does not touch teeth and after that rinse teeth.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have a high pain tolerance but this pain from gas was unbearable. I took about 1.5 tsps baking soda in water and I am so much better. I now completely understand why people show up in the ER when they don't know the pain is caused by gas.

When my children were newborns and they had gas, we would put a little anise seed into some water in their bottles to settle their tummy and de-gas them. It worked every time.
Fennel Seeds

Last night, my brother cooked for me. I drank a little bit of ACV afterwards because I could feel my stomach going funny. Unfortunately, the ACV did not prevent gas. I have no idea what in the meal caused it, but it was quite literally painful. I tried to sleep about an hour after eating and I couldn't because I kept having horrible pains.
Fennel tea, HALLELUJAH!
I just pounded about a teaspoon of the seeds in my morter & pestle, put that into a tea and and poured over freshly boiled water. I also added a tiny tiny bit of honey for sweetness. This actually tasted pretty good, and I could not believe what an immediate affect it had!
I paced my room while drinking it, and while I burped once (the gas was still early in the digestive system), I don't think that got rid of it all. So, I would say that somehow the fennel neutralized the gas. I don't know how it worked, but I had been trying to sleep for like an hour, then after drinking this, managed to fall asleep within about 15 minutes.
I am sooooooooooo thankful. I did wake up later, but when I woke up, I had no pain whatsoever.
My point is, I definitely recommend this!!!
Baking Soda

I searched out this website by googling gas in upper back.
I ate spaghetti with tomato sauce two days in a row and both times I got sever pains in my upper back and I remember my mom and sister talking about gas in the back years ago, so right away I knew what was happening, I tried stretching and laying on objects to move the pain, and it helped for a second but the pain came right back. I decided to put 1 tsp of baking soda in an 8oz glass of warm water and it helped me to burp and it immediately took the pain away.
It is a miracle and I will make sure I always have it in my refrigerator. I use Apple Cider vinegar in some of my recipes and have always heard it is a good remedy for different ailments so I will start drinking it as needed after this last episode.
Thanks for all the information from this site. Natural is the way. Thanks so much!

I have read through many of the posts here and I highly recommend using a 1/4 tsp. of baking soda in a glass of water for indigestion or gas. It works, period.
If you have a problem with sodium, you'll need to take that into consideration. This old remedy has been used for centuries and it works for me for either acid reflux, gas, or indigestion. I only use this once in a while, and you should not depend on this as an everyday routine from my perspective. Plain yogurt can also help with indigestion and gas by balancing your good bacteria, but it does not give the fast relief you get with the baking soda and water.
My advice is quit taking drugs if there is a healthy and safe alternative.
Rosemary Tea
Posted by Debbie (Melbourne, Australia) on 06/21/2011
clj5775, bloating and gas is usually a sign that you are not digesting food properly. It is fermenting in your stomach. Probiotics (acidophilus) and digestive enzymes would be better than rosemary as it will help stop the problem occurring in the first place.
Milk also causes bloating and gas because pasteurisation has removed the enzymes needed for digestion. The probiotics and digestive enzymes help with that as well.
Bloating and gas may also be a sign of candida.

Can't you make the tea with the Rosemary plant like you make Peppermint tea with the plant itself? Or even with the dried leaves?
