I've been having some horrible digestive trouble for weeks, and most recently began experiencing horrible gas pains every 15 minutes. The gas was trapped and would not come out either end. After 3 days of suffering, I decided to give ACV a try at this website's recommendation. GAS PAIN GONE! Almost instantly, the gas pains disappeared and I began farting and burping. I have never felt so grateful for flatulence! :-D Thank God for Apple Cider Vinegar and this website!!!
Baking Soda

I have read through many of the posts here and I highly recommend using a 1/4 tsp. of baking soda in a glass of water for indigestion or gas. It works, period.
If you have a problem with sodium, you'll need to take that into consideration. This old remedy has been used for centuries and it works for me for either acid reflux, gas, or indigestion. I only use this once in a while, and you should not depend on this as an everyday routine from my perspective. Plain yogurt can also help with indigestion and gas by balancing your good bacteria, but it does not give the fast relief you get with the baking soda and water.
My advice is quit taking drugs if there is a healthy and safe alternative.

I was diagnosed with Acid Reflux August 2006. I was subscribed Nexium, which I used for over a year until one month ago. I found your website through an employee. I can't believe it but ACV healed my reflux and gas problems. I take 1 to 1-1/2 tablespoons of ACV with water every morning before I do or eat anything. I don't have any problems anymore. I can sleep laying flat now. It is wonderful. I will use this for the rest of my life.

Fennel tea works!! Thank you!
About 3 am, I heard my daughter crying in pain in the bathroom, when she said "it hurts when I move..." I suspected it was trapped gas. I made her fennel tea-like how Katherine made it (pounded a teaspoon of fennel seeds and added hot water and honey).
After the first cup, she had just small burps. I thought of it as progress so I made another batch. She gave out a big burp after the second cup, saw relief from her face, and that's when I knew the problem is solved :)
Strawberries

Stomach Pain and/or Gas
Strawberries.
For any kind of stomach ache, gas pain, heart burn or stomach upset of any kind, I eat 4-6 frozen strawberries and the discomfort is gone instantly. This remedy has worked 100% of the time for me for many years. It has also worked 100% of the time for everyone I have told. My mother is 89 and takes several medications and supplements and sometimes gets terrible stomach pains and gas. She ate 5 frozen strawberries and by the time she ate the last one her pain and gas had disappeared. She is a devout skeptic and was amazed at the results.
I have tried this with many different varieties of strawberries and they all work. My favorite here in southwest Michigan is called Early Glow and we freeze about 60 qt. every year. Just hull the "caps", rinse in water, let drain in a colander and put into whatever size plastic freezer bag you prefer. Even if they are out of season in your area and you have to pay a higher price at a super market, get at least one qt. to keep in the freezer. When you get a stomach ache eat 4-6 of them and your pain should disappear.
I hope this helps you stop wasting money on expensive, super hyped, over the counter upset stomach chemicals that in my opinion just do not work and always made me feel worse.
Best Wishes For A Peaceful Future

I was ready to go to the ER for pain in my left side. I was certain it was kidney trouble. But I also thought of gas. So I read this. Took 1 Tablespoon of Apple cider Vinegar in a glass of water and was relieved of pain in 15 minutes. So grateful for this site. So simple a solution. A thousand thanks. I have a really ill 89 year old husband and going to the ER would have been hard...and useless and expensive.

I have tried a lot of the remedies listed here for my gas problem. Even over the counter remedies. Nothing helped. I had cancer and received 5 weeks of radiation in the pelvic area. The side effect is now I have uncontrollable gas. Also when I eat, need to use the restroom very soon after eating. Have had accidents while out shopping. I believe radiation weakened that pelvic area. Am now cancer free! But my gas problem is so embarrasing. The apartment complex where I live I have heard comments made about me re my gas. So humiliating. Then I tried 1 tablespoon per day of coconut oil. Also bought fresh strawberries and eat 5 per day. My gas problem has improved 90 percent. And this is day two. Am hoping that just strawberries alone with cure my problem. A tablespoon of coconut oil is about 110 calories. Irregardless, I will take these two cures if need be. Finally found somthing to help.

I used to have extreme flatulence and Coconut oil cured me. I've tried everything from Beno to "Mia Sposa es Loca" Oil and nothing has ever stopped my flatulence like Coconut oil. I'm a believer! I've also noticed that I no longer have the need to wear my Depend's Adult Diapers anymore. Thanks coconut oil you saved my marriage!

After menopause, I seemed to be bloated in my midsection most of the time. My lower stomach was puffy most of the time. I'm a thin person, and thought this was weight gain due to menopause & quitting smoking. One day I took 2 activated charcoal capsules for gas, and I ended up spending a lot of time in the bathroom that day. By that evening, I realized that my stomach was flat again! I figured that the charcoal had detoxified my system!! I will continue to take the charcoal once or twice weekly now. I am extremely happy with the results!!

I had the worst trapped gas pains last night on the left side of my stomach for hours. Took Simethecone and that didn't help. I literally thought I was going to die. I did some research and took a Tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed with warm water and sipped on that until it was gone. Within 15 minutes the pain was totally gone. What a life saver! Try it! You won't be sorry.

Last night, my brother cooked for me. I drank a little bit of ACV afterwards because I could feel my stomach going funny. Unfortunately, the ACV did not prevent gas. I have no idea what in the meal caused it, but it was quite literally painful. I tried to sleep about an hour after eating and I couldn't because I kept having horrible pains.
Fennel tea, HALLELUJAH!
I just pounded about a teaspoon of the seeds in my morter & pestle, put that into a tea and and poured over freshly boiled water. I also added a tiny tiny bit of honey for sweetness. This actually tasted pretty good, and I could not believe what an immediate affect it had!
I paced my room while drinking it, and while I burped once (the gas was still early in the digestive system), I don't think that got rid of it all. So, I would say that somehow the fennel neutralized the gas. I don't know how it worked, but I had been trying to sleep for like an hour, then after drinking this, managed to fall asleep within about 15 minutes.
I am sooooooooooo thankful. I did wake up later, but when I woke up, I had no pain whatsoever.
My point is, I definitely recommend this!!!

Charcoal is my survival remedy when I travel but I also use it whenever I have gas. 1/2 teaspoon of charcoal powder and gas is gone 20 minutes later. Gas is caused by fermenting foods and charcoal absorbs it all.

Just wanted to say Yea for you. When you or anyone has dealt with something that is as stressful as cancer it should not matter what anyone thinks or says (cause we know some people can't keep their mouths shut) just keep your head up. Blessings to your findings and being cancer free.

We are of Arab descent. Today I had very gas pains and I asked my mother what to do. I usually drink anise tea to relieve pain but since it was much more acute this time I asked her if there was another treatment. She told me to put some cumin in my tea and drink it. It worked! She was surprised I didn't know this and told me how everyone uses it as a reliable cure. I don't mind the taste and drank about half a teaspoon of cumin powder in my green tea. Feel better already!

I searched out this website by googling gas in upper back.
I ate spaghetti with tomato sauce two days in a row and both times I got sever pains in my upper back and I remember my mom and sister talking about gas in the back years ago, so right away I knew what was happening, I tried stretching and laying on objects to move the pain, and it helped for a second but the pain came right back. I decided to put 1 tsp of baking soda in an 8oz glass of warm water and it helped me to burp and it immediately took the pain away.
It is a miracle and I will make sure I always have it in my refrigerator. I use Apple Cider vinegar in some of my recipes and have always heard it is a good remedy for different ailments so I will start drinking it as needed after this last episode.
Thanks for all the information from this site. Natural is the way. Thanks so much!
