Hi, I just want to thank all of you for this site. I was diagnosed with Hep C genotype 2 this past December and have a viral load of over 5 million. My abdomen has started to swell and my blood pressure is rising. Will BHT help with these symptoms or should I be taking complimentary products also?

My support system seems to have shut down right in front of my face. Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

BHT seems to be an effective treatment for ALL types of hepatitis C for many but NOT ALL people. Also: Those who keep or kept this treatment simple are those that had the best results. You have to try the BHT treatment to find out if it works for you or not.

If it works for you: You should see a rapid improvement in: Liver function tests and viral load count tests.

The recommended dosage is 250mg to 500mg of BHT with water on an empty stomach. Start with the 250mg per day and work up to the 500mg per day dosage of BHT. Very large or heavy people may need more: the same as any other medication.

If adverse reactions are experienced lower the dosage used or end the BHT treatment....Oscar

Oscar suggests not to use any herbals while taking BHT. I asked him the same thing about taking a multi-vitamin with included herbals & he said to just stick with a standard multi with just vitamins & minerals.

I thought maybe using smaller herbal amounts that would be included in some multi's would be OK but he suggested not. It's best to not take a chance & just give the BHT time to see if it works for whatever you're using it for. Thanks & God Bless!

I took BHT for three weeks in January and then again for the entire months of April and May. I am trying to cure Hep C. In June 2013 my viral load was 1,570,000 and in June 2014 my viral load is 1,000,074. My numbers had been increasing each year since 2006, so this is a great improvement. I didn't take anything but BHT.

Dear Penny from Chico, I am glad to hear of improvement with BHT. But, it is very important that you stay with taking BHT on a daily basis. This stopping and starting the BHT treatment is NOT the way to get good results. Every time you stop the BHT treatment you are allowing the virus to spread to uninfected liver cells. I want to see you get well and stay well. It will probably take at least 2 years of daily dosing with BHT to be truly CURED. You are truly CURED when you test NEGATIVE with the HCV antibodies test. Testing NO VIRUS DETECTED is NOT being cured. That simply means the BHT treatment is working the way it is supposed to. Those viral load count tests are a blood test. The HCV and HBV viruses reproduce in the liver cells and NOT the blood cells. I know of people who got to NO VIRUS DETECTED with the viral load count tests using BHT and stopped the treatment. Those people ALWAYS relapsed eventually. The same is true for people using the prescribed treatments.

Like I said it takes at least 2 years of daily dosing with BHT to be truly CURED. Liver cells live on average about 200 days. One person did get CURED in somewhat less than one year. But he was very lucky. So stay with the BHT treatment UNTIL you test NEGATIVE with the ANTIBODIES test.

Most doctors do NOT know this. It seems obvious to me. But they are taught erroneous information about all this. I have been at this since 1997. The hepatitis C websites devoted to the conventional treatments are FULL of stories by people who got to NO VIRUS DETECTED with that viral load count test only to RELAPSE in a few years .

So, just keep taking the BHT like you have been and eventually you will be CURED. Keeping the treatment simple like you have been is the way to do this treatment. Just stick with it until you test negative with the ANTIBODIES test. That usually takes a few years....Oscar

Is there anyone out there who had a bad reaction to BHT? I've had hep C for 40 years and I am heading into stage 3 liver disease. I have always self treated and seemed to keep the virus at bay. However, in recent years my levels have gone way up and my ferritin levels are in the 500 range. I am on blood pressure meds, (which I am not happy about). I tried the BHT at 2 x 250 per day and it made me feel ill. I cut back to 1 a day and after 2 weeks I couldn't think or hardly function in day to day activities. I want this to work but I seem to be allergic to it. Oh, I also have Crohn's disease. Any advice would be appreciated

Have therapeutic phlebotomies...It will lower you ferritin and your enzymes as well...It will also remove some of the virus...I have found that it will lower both enzymes and ferritin significantly after each treatment...You want to get your ferritin in the 30 range regardless of what your doctor says...

At that level your enzymes will be close to normal...Of course Dr's know this...but...

Also, get checked for hemochromatosis...If you have both genes you have it...Then you can automatically be qualified for phlebotomies...

Hi Dan,

There is a woman on the low dose naltrexone (LDN) site who has kept her Hep C viral level low by using LDN and alpha lipoid acid. Many others have done the same thing on the Yahoo LDN site. She also says she keeps a high Ferritin level down by taking IP6 capsules, which will chelate iron from the body. This may give you an alternative if the BHT is a problem for you. An additional benefit of the LDN is that it has a high success rate for Crohn's disease, and is currently in Stage III trials. The successful prior trials by Dr. Jill Smith have been published in medical journals. There is about a 67% success rate. LDN may provide a double benefit for you. See www.ldninfo.org for more information, then join the Yahoo LDN Group shown on that first site and ask any questions to the more than 12,000 members on just that site, who take it. Best wishes.

Thanks to Mr .Ree and Rsw for the replies. Firstly, I have tried to get phlebotomies prescribed for me but with no success. There is no hemochromatosis in my genes as proven by lab work. I am in Ontario and it is almost next to impossible to try and get a physician to work with me on this. I even tried to show a specialist the clinical study proof of being bled to reduce ferritin levels which in turn will bring down ast and alt levels-wasn't interested. Secondly to Rsw, the link you gave me is quite interesting and I am currently trying to get a supplier of LDN. Thanks again for taking the time to reply...

Hi Dan,

Here is a link you may find to be helpful. I have no personal or business association with this site. The man who runs it also has Hep C, and is thought to be reputable by the LDN community. Best wishes!

Thank You Rsw for your LDN advocacy.

Suffering debilitating consequences of a twice compromised immune system, as evidenced by chronic viral, bacterial, fungal, and mycoplasma infections, I braved and fought as long as possible but continued deteriorating and started approx. 1.5mg Naltrexone Dec 13, 2014. Two days latter I was able to clean my house and get about some better. I have many issues and the road to substantial recovery is long, but this LDN is helping in a major way.

Over the years, it has been obvious that your road has not been an easy one, but you have persevered and been unrelenting and unafraid to try new, always logical and well researched treatments, in your quest for improvement. Along that route you have helped so many on this site with your insights and understanding of how supplements and other treatments can interact synergistically for positive results. Dan, You can use I-P 6 (phytic acid) and get your ferritin levels down...With ferritin levels down you enzymes will also go down. It usually works for about 30 points per months...Experiment with strength...

I would still not give up looking for a doctor that would give you monthly phlebotomies...there must be one doctor in Canada with ethics that would help your condition. Don't give up!

Hey Dan and to all who replied. After a 40 + year battle I had the opportunity to try Harvoni in the spring of last year. I was prescribed an 8 week course (being treatment naïve and having a viral load of 5.5 mil. , ast of 249 and alt of 160). Now, at 9 months post treatment ast and alt levels within range(normal) and hep c virus undetected. Not really a fan of big pharma but this did work. Extremely expensive but thankfully my insurance covered the cost.

My iron level is normal, platelet count was 70 and ferritin was 1100. I've been going to a clinic in Matamoros Mexico and they charge me $24 each visit to remove one pint of blood. $20 for a liver panel, $10 for ferritin. VL is $350. I opted for the liver panel and ferritin test. After 8 treatments, my ferritin was down to 375 and alt and ast was down by half. I attribute the rapid drop of ferritin to my using Dr. Bergs wheatgrass juice powder. If you have genetic hemochromatosis take clean chlorella instead of the wheatgrass juice powder because of the iron content.

Hi Oscar.

The BHT 250mg that I have been using now for over two and a half years has made me feel a lot better and increased my energy, although it has failed to cure me of Hep-C. I have been monitoring your posts here and am encouraged to see you are helping a lot of people. My friend bigmac says hi as well.

Now I would like to update my condition. I am 67 years and have had to change my diet due to recently going from Borderline Diabetes to type 2 Diabetes, after taking R+NAC for 1 year. I was so bloated that I could no longer sit and tie my shoe laces and I was getting a lot of gut pain.

Turns out that I am Lactose intolerant and have to use Lactose free milk. As well I have had to stop eating all processed foods and all whites including breads and anything with Gluten in it. I was shocked to discover how much sugar they use. Now I eat a lot of Salads, chicken, pork, unsalted peanuts, Golden Delicious Apples with a dab of Sugar Free Peanut Butter on it, and eggs with Pears for breakfast. I have since found Sugar Free Ice Cream which I have with Strawberries on it. I have found a solution to my Constipation problem and now have daily bowel movements which are easy to pass and are much softer. It is RestoralLAX 1 cap full added to my morning coffee.

Over the past six weeks I have dropped my weight from 205lbs. to 193lbs. and reduced my pants size from 44 to 40 waist. The chest pains have disappeared and the pain around my Liver area right lower lobe has also decreased to near none.

I am still taking the BHT 350mg per day some times on an empty stomach and sometimes just before a meal because of it's other benefits though not loosing all hope with it for the Hep-C cure. I continue to use Chanca Piedra 500mg per day for it's ability to reduce Liver pain and for it's antiviral properties. My Neuropathy is under control with R=Alpha Lipoic Acid 200mg x2 per lunch and supper.

I did get a Shingles Vaccine shot last year which elevated my Liver count. I did that just to play it safe against getting Shingles and then found out it's a live virus they use in it. I hope I didn't screw things up. My last blood draw showed 51 ALT on my Liver function test and I will have another Ultra Sound on my Liver soon. As for my other aches and pains, they come and go just like before taking the BHT.

As for the Milk Thistle, I quit using it a couple of years ago after finding out that it can cancel other meds and herbs by trying to protect the Liver. I am glad I don't have to waste the precious little money I have on it.

I do find that if I feel a smidge sick over night that Ginger Root Extract cures that. I suppose I should take it ever day but don't.

Take care Oscar!!!!

Dear Art from Vancouver, It is great hearing from you. Please tell our friend Bigmac I have never forgotten him and never will. He was the strength that held the BHT cures groups together and without his support and dedication the BHT cures groups struggled along but eventually failed. This failure was probably not possible to prevent. Too many members whose reason for joining was always a concern. I am sure Bigmac understands the issues I am reffering to.

We did a lot of good and many people were cured and others did get much better if not truly cured. I am glad to learn you lost the weight you did. That diabetes is a very serious health concern and that is an understatement. We are about the same age and weight. I am having my own problems as a result of my well over 50 years of smoking cigarettes. The BHT helps but those cigarettes take a toll on your lungs and heart.

I am sad to learn that this shingles vaccine has caused new health problems. Timh reports the same with some vaccine he took. You really can not trust the medical establishment with many issues. Amazing to me that so many very bad mistakes are being made by people we should be able to trust.

I am always being encouraged by the VA to have the flu and just recently this shingles vaccine. Being me I NEVER get said vaccinations. I am well aware of the risks associated with said vaccinations. And for me: The BHT works so very well I never feel a need to have them.

Glad to hear from you. Please let my dear friend Bigmac know I have never forgotten him and never will. A man could not ask for a better friend than Bigmac....Oscar

Dear Prince from Verona, NJ: There is NOTHING to worry about. Eating some grapefruit while using BHT to treat a viral infection, though not helpful, will NOT seriously impact the BHT treatment. Just stop eating or drinking grapefruit juice.

The case history by or of Imran was that: Once he stopped drinking grapefruit juice he rapidly achieved NO VIRUS DETECTED with the viral load count test. Now even when NO VIRUS DETECTED is achieved he still needed to keep taking the BHT. We did get a follow up report from Imran and he was still reading NO VIRUS DETECTED after 4 months of achieving NO VIRUS DETECTED. I discussed with Imran the importance of continuing the BHT treatment. BHT can and will clear the blood of viable viral particles. But the liver will still be full of infected cells. Any one of which can and will release intact viral particles that can and will infect uninfected liver cells. But by keeping the blood free of intact viral particles you prevent that from occurring. Eventually a true cure is achieved. This takes at least a couple of years for most people of continued BHT treatment.

So please do not worry. Just continue the BHT treatment and eventually you should achieve a true cure. As I have stated so very many times: A true cure is when you achieve a NEGATIVE test result with the HCV or HBV antibodies tests....Oscar

Hello again Prince Ausar from Verona, NJ: You are serious about making this BHT treatment work and I am serious about providing the best advice I can to ensure the treatment works as it did for me and many others.

You say you weigh 135 pounds. For people in that weight range 250mg of BHT per may be all you need. You can try the two dose per day method. If adverse effects are experienced at two 250mg doses per day go back to one 250mg per day. Also you can try staggering the dosage. By that I mean take one 250mg one day and two 250mg of BHT the next day. One dose in the morning and one dose at night every other day.

Please do report back with any blood test results you get. Also, the only other supplement I recommend is a standard multivitamin and mineral supplement no more than one per day. And that is optional. BHT is a reactive compound that can and will combine with MANY other supplements in unpredictable and undesirable ways. The mixing of the BHT treatment with other treatments or supplements usually degrades the treatment severely. BHT seems to work well with some pain medications and the AIDS drug " COMPLERA ".

The big problem is when BHT is used with certain compounds that combine with the metabolites of BHT. Large molecules that prevent the metabolites of BHT from penetrating the bi-layered lipid coatings of the different viruses. Vitamin B12 is such a compound and should be avoided in large doses. The amount of B12 in those standard multivitamins does NOT seem to degrade the BHT treatment. But again, taking a multivitamin is optional and is NOT part of the treatment....Oscar

Is this a side effect of the BHT? Have you heard of this happening to anyone else? I'm afraid to take another pill at night because of this. To Taylor from Scottsdale, The BHT treatment based on the available feedback at this time is:

The BHT treatment is:

200mg to 350mg of BHT taken once or twice a day with water on an empty stomach. The dosage varies for each person. Generally, the more you weigh the more you need and the less you weigh the less you need or desire. Age is also a factor. People around age 60 have a harder time tolerating higher dosages.

Supplements that work well with BHT are:

1. A generic multivitamin and mineral supplement.
2. Vitamin B12 in a dosage of 1mg [ milligrams ] which is the same as 1,000mcg [ micrograms ] per day.
3. Vitamin C in a daily dosage of 500mg to 1, 000mg per day.
4. One vitamin B complex pill per day.
5. The lipid monolaurin. Not sure of dosage.
6. The herb chanca piedra has helped some people. Not sure about dosage.
7. Sodium selenite in a dosage of 50 [ micrograms ] a day.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Supplements to avoid:

1. Milk thistle and it`s extracts. It reacts with BHT in a way that degrades the treatment.
2. Vitamin E supplements. Yes you need some vitamin E. But vitamin E supplements were proven to ENHANCE hepatitis C`s virons ability to replicate and therefore vitamin E supplements should be avoided.
3. Any and all other supplements should be avoided until and unless I see evidence they work well with the BHT treatment.

These are MY recommendations... Oscar

Found this information about BHT:

..."The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) considers both BHA and BHT to be safe. Researchers estimate the typical intake of BHA has no dangerous effects, and it would take at least 125 times the usual amount to become toxic. BHT is also considered to be safe; however large amounts of BHT may have some interactions with hormonal birth control methods or steroid hormones, and may increase levels of liver enzymes. Currently the FDA allows food manufacturers to use BHT, however additional safety studies are suggested."

Dear Proactivewife from Louisville, KY, There is the BHT treatment that has worked very well for a growing number of people as reported here and in other forums. This is the treatment:

100mg to 350mg of BHT taken with water on an empty stomach once or twice a day. The dosage varies for each person. Weight is an important factor in determining dosage. Fat content of a person`s body is another. Generally the more you weigh and the higher the fat content of your body the more BHT you need to effectively treat a viral infection. Many average size men have done very well with 250mg of BHT taken twice a day. If adverse side effects occur and persist, LOWER the dosage of BHT used. That is the treatment.

Supplements that have been shown to work well with the BHT treatment are:

1. A regular type multi-vitamin and mineral pill once a day.
2. A regular type vitamin B complex pill.once a day.
3. Vitamin B12 in a dosage of 1mg [ milligrams ] per day. 1mg is the same as 1, 000mcg { micrograms ].
4. Vitamin C in a daily dosage of between 500mg and 1, 000mg per day.
5. The lipid monolaurin. Unsure about dosage.
6. The herb chianca piedra seems especially helpful in treating hepatitis B. Unsure of dosage.
7. Sodium selenite in a daily dosage of 50mcg [ micrograms ].

Also, and importantly: Continue taking any doctor prescribed medicines or drugs. Very many of the people who have had dramatic improvement with this BHT treatment are taking a doctor prescribed medicine of one type or another.

SUPPLEMENTS TO AVOID. Do not take:

1. Milk Thistle and it`s extracts. Degrades the treatment to the point that it no longer works.
2. Grapefruit juice. Degrades the treatment to the point it no longer works.
3. Colloidal silver
4. Hydrogen peroxide taken internally. Hydrogen peroxide is a REACTIVE OXYGEN SPECIES. It will make the BHT treatment NOT work.
5. MMS [ Miracle Mineral Supplement ]. MMS is chlorine bleach, a very powerful oxidizer that will react with BHT in such a way as to make the treatment not work.
6. Vitamin E supplements. Yes you NEED some vitamin E. But a normal diet provides plenty. Vitamin E supplements have been shown to enhance lipid coated viruses ability to replicate and should be avoided for that reason.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For best result stick with those supplements I listed that have been shown to work well with the BHT treatment. Vitamin B12 is an especially good one.
That is the treatment that works consistently well based on the substantial feedback available....Oscar

Hello Proactive wife: The important tests are the liver function tests, sometimes called " The Standard Liver Panel ". These tests cost between 30 and 35 dollars and should be done on a weekly basis. The other important test is the " Viral Load Count Test ". This test costs between 300 and 350 dollars. Have this test done after one month of the BHT treatment. To read our most recent success stories go here: http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/THE_BHT_CURES_CHAT_GROUP/conversations/topics/1488

Please note that people getting the best results are using a standard vitamin B complex tablet along with the vitamin B 12.

Please thank me by reporting your results here at the Earth Clinic. This treatment really does work for most people....Oscar

Dear Proactivewife, Well, your husband started out with the high end of my recommended dosage of BHT. How much does he weigh in pounds ? If he has any adverse reaction, such as feeling irratable or stomach discomfort he can always lower his BHT intake. One method is to take one capsule per day and on the next day take two capsules per day. You alternate between 1 and 2 capsules per day every other day. And if adverse symptons persist go to one capsule per day. Look, he may be just fine with taking two 350mg of BHT per day. Time will tell regarding that. It is thin people who are most prone to BHT side effects.

Also, my recommended dosage for vitamin B12 is 1, 000mcg [ micrograms ] per day. 1mg [ milligrams ] is equal to or the same as 1, 000mcg [ micrograms ]. Now there are some who recommend the higher dosages of vitamin B12. But that is not me. Also, that standard size vitamin B complex is a very good one. Just one per day.

Just pay attention to how you feel and have that liver panel series of blood tests done after one week. We need to pay attention to his liver function test results. There is a Yahoo group devoted to the BHT treatment. I am one of the moderators of this here group:

Here's what you need to do. Follow the protocal you are thinking about and DO NOT have them talk you into a liver biopsy. I had normal enzymes like your husband and had a biopsy and my enzymes went up to the mid 300's and stayed there for several years...nuff said..

Oscar, I started taking the BHT with Monolaurin 3 months ago and my viral load on 3.15.13 was 14.5 million and dropped after 3 months to 7.3 million tested 7.08.13. I take the BHT 350 mg 3 times a day with one teaspoon of Monolaurin. All my other ast and alt levels are in normal range. This is after 3 months so I am so thankful for the BHT protocol. I will continue the BHT protocol until this disease is gone.....

Dear Roy from Las Vegas, I am very happy to learn of the progress you have made with BHT for hepatitis C. I do wish to make one thing clear though. I am adamant about taking BHT with water only on an empty stomach. You did say you mix your BHT with monolaurin before taking it. I do believe your results will be even better if you take the BHT separately from the monolaurin. Just wait at least an hour or two before or after taking BHT before taking the monolaurin. This has to do with how the BHT is digested and metabolized. There is NO need to mix BHT with anything at the time it is ingested. It works best taken by itself in my opinion....Oscar

Dear Kevin from Costa Mesa, CA: These are my recommendations regarding BHT as a treatment for hepatitis C. I am Oscar:

> > 6. The herb chianca piedra has helped some people. Not sure about dosage.
> > 7. Sodium selenite in a dosage of 300mcg [ micrograms ] a day.
These are MY recommendations.

Please do report your results here at the EARTH CLINIC... Oscar

Oscar, I read your recommendations for NOT taking vit e... I recall you got it from a study in Italy. Could you please forward that link.

I have hep-c and peripheral neuropathy. I'm taking 3 tablets of Carlsons fish oil a day for my terrible neuropathy. Each tab has 20 IU's of vit e Might that small amount be too much for me? and would salmon oil be the same or better? Most oils have vit e in them. I don't know if you have an opinion on this but... I'm actually taking a supplement that has a very low dose of fish oil. Thx much.

Dear Paula from Salt Lake City, I found a link to that Naples University study. First let me say that if you feel this supplement that has some vitamin E in it is important for your neurapathy condition that you have to find some balance here. Every person needs some vitamin E. Just avoid taking the large dose vitamin E supplements. Also, Mike [twodragunns] was taking a standard multi-vitamin supplement that would have had to include some vitamin E had the very best results of anyone with the BHT treatment. Mike was truly cured of hepatitis C in less than one year. By that I mean he tested NEGATIVE with the HCV antibodies test in less than one year using the BHT treatment and he was taking a standard multi-vitamin pill like I said. Here is a link to that Naples University study you requested:

http://www.epocrates.com/dacc/1207/VitaminB12hcvBMJ1207.pdf

In conclusion: You keep taking whatever it is you feel is helping you with your neurapathy. Also include that 1mg which is the same as 1, 000mcg [ micrograms ] of vitamin B12 per day. That link is a PDF file so you need the required software to read it. An up to date: Adobe Reader program. You most likely already have that program installed on your computer. Hope that helps. Preservatives lengthen the shelf-life of foods, increasing manufacturers' profits – at your expense, since most are linked to health problems such as cancer, allergic reactions and more. Butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) and butylated hydrozyttoluene (BHT) are preservatives that affect the neurological system of your brain, alter behavior and have the potential to cause cancer. Tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) is a chemical preservative so deadly that just five grams can kill you.

The evidence is that BHT and BHA taken in less than massive doses in fact helps prevent cancer. The toxicology reports that discuss BHT induced cancers were done on mice dosed with as much as 5 grams per kilogram of body weight. A 110 pound person weighs very close to 50 pounds. And 50 x 5 = 250 grams = 250, 000mg. What BHT does is deactivate the extremely destructive REACTIVE OXYGEN SPECIES such the hydroxyl radical [ O-H. ] That dot represents an unpaired electron. BHT donates hydrogen atoms when needed like this: [ O-H. ] + [ .H ] = [ H-O-H ] commonly known as water. It does exactly the same thing with all free radicals and thereby deactivates these destructive chemical species.

Here is a study that discusses how BHT and BHA prevents colon cancer:

Please note: Those BHT induced cancers were produced in mice fed 2 grams = 2,000mg of BHT per kilogram of body weight PER DAY. The same as a 110 pound person taking 25 grams = 250,000mg PER DAY. The dosages of BHT I have suggested for people weighing 110 pounds is about 250mg of BHT per day. I do dare say if you take 1,000 times the recommended dose of just about anything on a daily basis you are going to have some very serious problems. That goes for any and all treatments discussed here in this forum....Oscar

I was tired and got confused. Sorry about that. So yes I made a mistake in my math and I hope this posting clears that up. But my point remains a valid one.

The recommended daily dose of BHT for a 110 pound person is 250mg of BHT per day. If adverse effects are experienced LOWER the dosage of BHT used....Oscar

Hi Oscar & friends,

Does taking extract of artichoke tablets(as I am ATM) interfere with the "BHT Cure"? BTW the above, yahoo group, link does not connect either.

I would have started the BHT treatement, but could not find enough peeps reporting their results over the last couple of years, so I decided to "play it safe" with a fat & salt & presvtv.free diet, abstinance, chlor & flor. free H2O & olive leef xtrct. & artichoke tabs. It is good to see more reports about BHT being put up now.A few peeps here said they would long ago but haven't yet;come on guys! Tnx. for your info one & all, espc. Oscar. and please give us a link to your blog group that actually connects. It would help greatly, I'm shure, for our/my cofidence in you, as there are so many tricksters etc. on line now.

I am also going to try the artichoke plant boiling remedy that I read about one bloger trying in hospital with startling results for her Uncles liver.I WILL give reports on all that I try. P.S. A tip from me: also avoid homogonised milk, it's gunk & made white by adding white rice powder to a mix of fat(not cream) & H2O

I've been taking BHT for over a year. I take it in a cocktail that consists of 350 mg of BHT, 700mg of milk thistle, 500 mg of Naringin, An amino acid complex of 1447 mg of L-arginine, 900 mg of L-Ornithine and 1200 mg of L-Lysine I also take 520 mg of Dandelion root, 420 mg of Licorice root, 500 mg of TMG (Trimethylglycime), 600 mg of ALA plus a multi vitamin. The day after I took my first dose of BHT I was outside doing yard work and wondered where all of my energy was coming from and I remembered the BHT. I've always wondered if some of the supplements I am currently taking could be counter-acting each other.

To Robin from Fresno.

It is a proven fact that Grape fruit juice and Milk thistle blocks the effectiveness of the BHT. I had the same results as you, feeling a lot better after I started taking 350mg of BHT daily on an empty stomach. The trouble was that my Liver Enzymes were climbing. After I started taking it alone and leaving all those other supplements, I saw a drastic change. I was wasting my money on supplements that were onl making me feel better but not curing me. Vitamin E is known by testing to help the Hep C virus to replicate. It will not hurt you to stop all other supplements for a while until you can see the difference. Now Milk thistle and Dandelion root reduce the effectiveness of BHT and Grapefruit juice blocks the BHT and other medications from working. There are some here who do not believe so but I have the numbers to prove it.

You are right about these compounds interacting with the BHT.

Art: Glad to see you're improving. Nothing like a success story. Although I haven't any lab test, I did experience noticeable improvements in health when I began the BHT, but soon leveled, but continued 250mg 2x day for about 1 yr. Then added Colloidal Silver prior and Echinacea after BHT with a pronounced good effect.

What I was saying on another post, for some people who may have multiple issues, BHT alone isn't enough for the Hep.

I have yet to try the Chanca Pedra, but that time is coming.

As for liver health, while the subject is on, after the previous BHT Plus treatment, then an extensive fatty liver regimen, my health still deteriorated to almost unable to carry on with daily functions. I get good results with my 30 hrz zapper attached to each foot in a bath, but I have experimented zapping w/ one foot in bath and the other pole directly over the liver (i also wet the shirt for the copper pipe to maximize effect). This maneuver has helped me noticeably in the past and I hoped the other liver treatments would prove I didn't need to over-the-liver zap anymore ---but I was wrong. Just a few days ago I was despairing and redid the liver zap for over an hr with very good results (my overall strength and stamina was restored). In between any number of parasites and pathogens that can affect the liver, I would strongly recommend this liver zap for those who seem to be running out of healing options.
