Hidradenitis Suppurativa

Depends on a location but dub the "thick" paste of ichthammol over the boil little bit bigger than the size of boil itself and put gauze over it and tape it up worked for me.
You can mix with itchamol & Neosporin 50/50 too , also you can apply iodine first then dry it and apply that itchamol & Neosporin over if you want.

Replace the gauze and re apply itchamols thick and generously then cover it with gauze again and tape it up. About 4 days and all the pus comes out & sticks to the gauze.

Get an itchamol in a jar for the horse. Because you gonna need it.

Borax

I'll start by saying I was skeptical about taking Borax-but after reading many of the posts here & on other sites-I decided to go for it. I figured worse comes to worse, I'd have an excellent cleaner!

Anyway-I was looking for something to help w/Hidradenitis Suppurativa-which is basically cysts in your armpits, sometimes in groin & under breasts. It's horribly painful & can be embarrassing-especially when they burst. Doctors have no idea what causes it either & is treated w/tetracycline-a strong antibiotic or biologics &/or incisions & draining them.

That doesn't cure it-they come back. And no one should be on tetracycline or biologics all the time!

I started taking 1/8 of a teaspoon dissolved in a bit of warm water right after breakfast.

I started it on Monday-today is Saturday & the cysts are all gone! I'm shocked it worked so quickly!

I'm also an insomniac-I have been since I was a kid-& w/in a couple days I was falling asleep easier & staying asleep! I've been able to go off a couple of OTC meds I was using to fall asleep also in just a couple of days!

I also have fibromyalgia & usually have a flair up a couple times a week-but not this week! I'm knocking on wood that I don't have any more of them-but even if the flare-ups are just lessened it would be great news for me.

FYI-I didn't really have any herxing & I'm hoping I don't-but regardless, I'd continue taking this amazing mineral.

Thank you, Ted, for spreading the news of this natural medicine! You've literally changed my life!

Coconut Oil
Posted by Amy (Derby england) on 06/14/2023

Since I started puberty I've suffered with boils under my armpits and in my groin area.

I've gained significant weight over the last two years and this led to my armpits becoming much worse. I was at a point where I would have at least 5 boils at any one time around my armpit area.
Around 3 months ago I started to apply cold pressed coconut oil onto my armpit skin once or twice a week. I initially started because I'd heard it was anti bacterial and honestly I just wanted to take away some friction.

Within a week I noticed my armpits looked less angry, and I wasn't developing new boils as quickly as "normal". And within a month my boils were down to almost nothing. I'm still like that now. I'll get maybe one or two a month, my scarring seems to be fading too, and I have less than half the blackheads I had when I started.

For the first summer in a long time I can wear cami tops, and short sleeve dresses without being embarrassed.
I haven't tried the Apple Cider Vinegar but I'll defo give that a go when next I get a boil and will update.
I'd 100% recommend coconut oil to anyone. I know it probably won't work for everyone but for me it's been an absolute game changer!

This your body encapsulating gluten & particular for mw wheat. Also cheeses. Histamine producing foods. This is like an autoimmune issue that is reacting to the rejection of foods through a reaction to the foods by the gastrointestinal system. Try more good probiotics, but I don't know which to suggest. Milk has something called Iga if that even though it's organic but if the cow is commercially raised. Iga causes gastrointestinal issues that show up with this sort of acne cysts. I have this too and it subsides the longer I stay away from foods my body is reactive to, or can't digest.

Hi Elaine. I found this post because I had a hunch that DMSO combined with something (like Aloe or Tea Tree Oil) would help get rid of HS. My daughter has been struggling with a few sores for a while now and I'm just now finding out about it and want to give her something that will help get rid of it. How is the DMSO/Aloe working for you? Are you still have sores appear? Does this combo still get rid of them? Would love an update if you get the time. Thank you so much!

After a HS wound pops, most of the time you're left with a hole that could take months or even a year to heal up. I found this stuff called Silver Honey. It is actually use on horse/animal. But it has all natural ingrediants. If you read the reviews on Amazon, you will see more people use this stuff on themselves than they do animals. It comes in 2 forms; a cream or a spray. I bought the cream and it healed my HS wound/hole up in 8 days and it had been there for 3 months. I encourage everyone to try it. And just recently, I started getting another HS bump...I immediatly put some of the Silver Honey on it...I did this for 3 days and the bump went away.

HS, MRSA, Boils and other conditions

Some time back I posted about treating boils, and possible HS with DMSO and had amazing results. I had been in remission for quite some time now, a couple of years. Then recently in all of my most recent detoxing I started to have hints of odd bumps and things again in my groin and underarm areas. The only areas I have ever had any skin issues. My first thought was oh my body is detoxing out some stuff. Then last week one began to progress and became large and painful to the point I was having trouble moving my arm. I threw the kitchen sink at it.

Liposomal C and zinc, colloidal sliver, turmeric and pepper, Sulphur internally. I topically did DMSO, Iodine, Colloidal silver, nano zinc powder, Hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, alcohol, pulling salve and it continued to get worse. I was NOT wanting to go to a Doctor and end up on an antibiotic that would destroy years of trying to heal my system.

In desperation, I began to research again and came upon a YouTube Video I had never seen before of a young man named Connor Murphy. I watched his heartfelt and humble testimony about years of suffering from MRSA and the divine intervention that led him to cure it. I immediately went and got some Hibiclens and silver ointment, showered with the Hibiclens and put the silver on, and taped a gauze over it, within hours the pain was gone.

It never drained, it opened but no drainage and still a lump. I did this because I knew I had an active infection going that I had to get under control so the good bacteria could have a shot at getting a heads up on the bad bacteria. Then I did the unthinkable based on his knowledge.

I stopped washing with anything but water and I began to spray my body with liquid Probiotic spray several times a day. I even sprayed my hair after my showers. It has been 6 days and the swelling and inflammation have not returned.

I also have ZERO body odor in spite of it being in the 90's here and working outside in my garden daily sweating. I am now a believer and am actively cutting any remaining sources of sugars in my diet and have begun lacto-fermenting to get my gut as full of good bacteria as possible.

I purchased the Probiotic skin spray via amazon after seeing his video to get it quickly but I am now making my own. I took a quart size mason jar, added a couple of teaspoons of raw organic honey and dumped the contents of two critical care probiotic capsules into the jar, put the lid on and left it to sit on my counter for three days. I am now drinking it and using it as a body spray. This is a great way to save a lot of money on good quality probiotics as well because I can just grow the capsules in the liquid and quadruple what I paid for. I believe this young man was in fact led to his cure by a Higher Power and not only is it working but for the first time it makes sense.

The antibacterial soaps and bleach baths and all the anti-fungal anti-parasite stuff we are using is killing the bad stuff giving temporary symptom relief but also killing the good bacteria thus never allowing it to conquer the bad stuff and get the situation back in balance. Like the Hibiclens and silver salve, all these cleanses and anti-stuff solutions like DMSO, Hydrogen Peroxide and turpentine and Methlyene Blue are great for getting an active infection or health imbalance back under control but unless we fix the underlying biome so the body can balance and take back over then we are are all just kicking a can down the road. The only entity capable of a true cure is the body itself.

Fresh Garlic

This is awesome! I have had HS for 30 years. I have only learned on how to "ease" the pain of the flare ups. Just the other day I was reading comments in a forum for HS. This lady said that 15 years ago she was at a family reunion and one of her elders told her to take garlic supplements. She stated that she started taking garlic supplements and has'nt had a flare up in 15 years! I just received my garlic supplements today. I got the kind that has a high dose of ALLICIN in it. Cooking raw garlic will weaken the effects of the ALLICIN. Thank you so much for your comment...it confirms what I read!

Acne Soap
Posted by Kelly (Ohio) on 04/03/2022

Hi, I think she is on to something here because I too thought my HS flare up were just acne. I get them in my groin area. I put Proactiv Face mask on the bumps before they get big and it calms them down and sometimes they dont ever drain, they will just go away. I put it on at night. Depending where the bump is you can apply Proactiv face mask during the day too. I tried this on a bump that rubbed my leg when I walked and it ended up making it worse because of the friction. So I applied EMUaid during the day and proactiv face mask at night.

I posted about this originally in 2013 and as its now 2022 I wanted to add that I have followed my own advice to take omega-3 oils (specifically flax seed oil) every time a boil has tried to build and it always resolves quickly. It has worked consistently for me and as long as I make sure to take flax seed oil capsules regularly I stay boil free. (I was diagnosed with hydradenitia suppurativa.)

B12

Just an update to my prior comment. The high dose B12 (2,000 mcg) was keeping me up at night so I stopped it. I then switched to a B complex that had more than the 100 mcg from the one I had been using (400 mcg) and thankfully it was enough to maintain the therapeutic effect. I can still eat nightshades and other trigger foods without causing a flare. So play around with the dosage and find the one that is right for you. 100 mcg daily was not enough but the 400 mcg in my new B Complex was enough to keep the flare ups at bay.

I have several auto-immune conditions, one of which is Hidradenitis Suppurativa. I manage all of them by monitoring my diet. Over the years I have found several things to ease the HS but by far the best was just avoiding nightshades and other trigger foods. I found citric acid to be especially problematic. It was no fun avoiding my favorite foods like mashed potatoes or tomatoes, but I did so in order to achieve clear skin. Then one day I came across an old book called, "The Ultimate Healing System" where the author mentioned something I hadn't heard before. The author stated that if someone has a "sensitivity" to a food, there is usually an antidote for it, which is typically a deficiency. Meaning, that the "sensitivity" would be reversed if one corrects the deficiency. So I began to focus instead on making sure I was consuming all vitamins my body needed. I am unable to take anything, not even supplements, on a daily basis otherwise my body tends to become sensitive to that item.

So I started with taking a B complex supplement that contained about 100 mcg of B12, every other day (making sure to take only supplements with limited amounts of "extra" ingredients). I saw some improvements in my overall autoimmune symptoms. But when I went to get my B12 levels checked with my doctor, they were found to still be in the 400s range, which is not optimal at all. He recommended I take a higher B12 dose.

So I purchased a B12 supplement that contained 2,000 mcg per capsule. I began take 3 capsules per week (one on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays). I continued with my regular B complex on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. A couple weeks after beginning this regimen with the added higher B12, I noticed I was no longer breaking out at all. I tested this by going for Mexican food and had enchiladas drenched with tomato sauce. No reaction. A few days later I ate mashed potatoes. Again no reaction. Since then I have eaten nightshades so many times with no reaction! The HS was gone!

I decided to stop the B12 for a week to see what would happen when I ate nightshades. The breakouts returned. I started the B12 again, and my skin cleared pretty quickly. I googled to see if there was a connection between B12 and HS and I did find one small study where someone's HS was cleared with higher doses of B12.

Anyway, I wanted to share this to hopefully help someone. Raise your B12 levels and other vitamins and minerals to optimal levels and you will see a marked improvement in your symptoms.

Calendula Oil

Calendula oil is the only remedy I know of that can clear up HS on a permanent basis. I read about this remedy in an obscure old homeopathy book and it worked perfectly. I mixed mine with about 1/3 castor oil to enhance absorption and further purify and detox my skin. I was lazy about applying it--maybe every other day--but it STILL worked perfectly.

Hidradenitis Suppurativa:

I cured mine with lemons and probiotics. Lemons take the pain away almost immediately and heals the bumps fast. Now I don't break out anymore. I'm guessing the lemon dries up the pores. But I can tell you how wonderful the lemons made the pain better. I tried all the medical stuff that didn't do anything. Good luck

I was experiencing a horrible auto immune condition called HS (Hidradenitis Supperativa). Very, very painful and debilitating.

I decided to try the borax protocol to attack the autoimmune condition. In six weeks all symptoms of my condition had disappeared and it is 10 months later and I continue to be healed. I now drink borax water once or twice a week. I drink 1/4 tsp in the liter of distilled water once or twice a week. I give 1/4 of the above mentioned dilution to both my children once or twice a week. My Mom has been drinking it daily for 9 months (after seeing my amazing results) due to a number of health afflictions, and has skin growing on her legs where she has had open wounds for 30 years from a recluse spider bite. My coworker drinks the above mentioned dilution daily and has had a significant reduction in her rheumatoid arthritis pain. In fact over the winter she was shocked to 'notice' she was barely hurting in her hands at all... I was desperate for answers when I tried this and I'm so glad I did.

Decide for yourself, trust your instincts. Good luck.

Avoid Acidic Food, Hyperthyroid Link

I want to keep this short.

I was suffering from Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) for almost 10 years. I started taking ACV when I was in the Middle East and the HS problem started. I was never able to link it to ACV. When returning back to my home country, I stopped taking ACV and the problem of HS was completely gone.

I recommend anyone suffering from HS to avoid acidic/high citrus foods such as lemon, ACV etc.

Last week I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and I read some papers that are linking HS with hyperthyroidism. Please do check with your doctor and do some research. I know how painful these skin problems are and just sharing my observation here.

Tips from a girl who has had HS for 8+ years

I started having symptoms of HS when I was around the age of 14 but I didn't realize what I had until I was around 20 years old. Once I discovered my extremely painful boils weren't a result of a lack of hygiene, I started the long road of looking for a cure or a way to manage them. A doctor gave me spironolactone and although it worked great, I didn't want to be on a medication like that long term so I started looking for natural remedies...which is when I found this site! It helped me so much I thought I would share some tips of my own. First, I only have HS in my groin (panty-line) and bottom area, so not in my armpits (thank God! ). Things I do that have helped A LOT:

--Washing the affected area once a day with hibiclens (OTC anti-bacterial soap). It was recommended by a doctor and I have found that when I skip a day, I regret it!

--Washing the affected area after working out or getting the area sweaty is a MUST! And I mean right after. I tend to sweat a lot around my panty-line and when I don't follow this regimen, again, I regret it! I usually schedule my daily skin-shower around when I work out so that helps.

--I didn't use tampons until I read posts on this page of women recommending it. I couldn't agree more that if you have HS you should exclusively use tampons. They are a life saver. I used to get the worst flares during my cycle and now barely at all! Moisture and a lack of airflow are huge no-no's with HS, so you can see why pads are terrible for you.

--Wear underwear/briefs that are a size too big. I know that sounds weird, but ANY pressure on the skin in my groin area (the hem line of underwear) would cause the worst inflammation which would lead to the boils. This was honestly one of the easiest ways to manage my problem. I also stopped wearing shorts/pants to bed to give the area more airflow (so less sweat).

--Like the above tip, do not wear tight swim bottoms! I now wear a tankini (I used to wear a one-piece) so that I can wear looser swim-shorts. Beforehand, I would literally have same-day inflammation from wearing a swimsuit that hugged that panty/hemline!

--Another reason I wear swim shorts is so that I don't have to shave my legs so high! I would get a lot worst inner thigh flare ups from shaving, so I stopped doing so as frequently. I have considered laser hair removal but have yet to try it.

--The right kind of shorts (and pants! ) is really important and is probably the hardest to find. I don't wear jean shorts at all anymore (I miss them so much) because they were pinching and causing problems. This is a tip that you will have to figure out by trial and error, but just know that clothing makes a HUGE difference. Speaking of clothing, if you're at home on a cold day, loose shorts and a blanket are better than pants--remember, lack of pressure and airflow are everything.

--Unfortunately, I haven't found many ways to manage the bumps I get on my bum! I've found certain chairs/sitting positions cause bad flare ups, but I haven't found anything else to help so far.

--I have tried turmeric, and although I think it helps a little (I was eating it every day for a couple of months), it didn't help me enough to make me want to eat it every day (so gross when eating a teaspoon by itself). I've also tried tea tree oil and manuka honey which I didn't see much results with. BUT, I wasn't all that diligent in their application so that might have been my problem.

--Although I would not recommend spironolactone long term, I would recommend someone who has super-damaged skin from untreated HS to use it for a couple of months. After 6 years of damage (I literally have scars and had areas of my skin that were so damaged they were almost constantly in a state of being an open wound), the break spironolactone gave me was great. It allowed my skin to heal up and just calm down and I think the natural methods I'm using now work a lot better because I started from better skin.

I've been doing the above for around 2-3 years now and I can say that although I still suffer from HS, it is nowhere near as bad as when I didn't know what HS even was. Although there are some areas of my skin that are still pretty sensitive (only one area of super damaged skin near my panty line), there are other areas that used to flare up every couple of months that haven't bothered me in over two years! Hopefully, this helps you on your journey. And please don't get overwhelmed by the changes either! Just take one change/step at a time and hang in there!

Homeopathy
Posted by Amy (CA) on 02/14/2021

Homeopathy doesn't use tinctures or remedies full strength unless they cause no bad symptoms.

Chamomile is one remedy that can be used as a tincture as well as diluted. Most remedies are diluted to the point where none of the original substance is in the dilution anymore. Something as powerful as "coral-snake" would be taken in an extremely diluted formulation.

Homeopathy works on the principle that an infinitesimal amount of a substance will cure symptoms that the tincture would cause.

Dear Kim,

Wow, you are doing lots of great things for your son and learning more and more as you go on. Its hard to see our kids suffer! A couple of things that come to mind... Is he getting enough sleep? Most teenage boys need more sleep than they get. My daughter's fiancé gets mouth sores when he doesn't sleep enough. (And he does shift work, so that happens a lot.) We did get him some multivitamins (NOW Adam multivitamins) and that also seems to help. It isn't the same issue as your son, but I think low immune function and lack of sleep are easily overlooked sources of reoccurring health difficulties. I agree that colloidal silver may be helpful. We use a colloidal silver gel made by Nature's Sunshine that works for many things! (We get it from Amazon.) Finally, nettle isn't specifically recommended for infections, but I find it to be helpful for chronic heath problems in my family, especially my children. I give a couple of the capsules a day. I hope you find something to solve this for him once and for all!

The boils come back, but not like before, keep doing the same every time with or without boils and will kill the bacterias in the blood. My BF is 8 years boil free. CS kills antibiotics resistant bacterias. No side efects. Remember to apply the CS, Magnesia milk mix.

My son was diagnosed with Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) last year, he's 15.

After 3 different kinds of antibiotics, it kept coming back. It started at both his underarms and then his private area. I've been reading up on this and trying to find some relief for him. I bought turmeric pills, the high strength with at least 95% curcumin, he's taking zinc, vitamin D3 and flax seed oil. His boils drain often after a flare up. It's been a couple months taking turmeric, the boils are still there. I read up on nightshades food and took him off a certain food.

What we discovered is he can't have pizza sauce, any sauce with tomatoes in it. Then we discovered he can't have potatoes, just sweet potatoes which he doesn't like. Sugar, like in soda is another item he must avoid. I hate to see him suffer daily and having to do so much maintenance for his boils. I bought the 15 umf manuka honey to apply to the boils. It helps but it didn't totally go away. I spent $65 on a 8oz bottle of the 20 umf manuka honey and the boils are still there. When the boil drained, there is a piece of tissue hanging, gross, I know but the manuka honey helps it shrink back and close the opening, it took about a week.

I am running out of resources, I wish he could have 1 of the successful story I read from people here. We've been battling this for a year with no relief. Does anyone have something else I can try?

DMSO for HS.

I have tried every remedy on earth clinic and many that aren't listed. Sometimes I got a bit of symptomatic relief. I still wash with antibacterial soaps and use fresh lime juice as my deodorant. My HS effects my underarms and groin area. Even when there is no active infected boils the lumps remain.

Last week I started applying a topical solution of 70% DMSO and 30% pure organic aloe vera gel. I bought the items and mix them myself in a small glass beaker after my bath. I apply every other day. The difference is like night and day. The long lumps under my skin are gone. There is one slight one left under one arm but it is reduced 90% and I expect it to completely resolve within a few days. The only dietary changes I have ever made is to cut out hot sauces and cayenne of any kind.

The DMSO was the CURE. I had to post...for those of you who have given up on being rid of this horrible ailment there is hope!

Hi there,

Thanks for this post! I always attempt a natural cure before anything else and believe skin issues arise from a root cause from within. Interesting about the adrenals! Would you mind linking the capsule you tried?

Tumeric paste of turmeric and honey would be better.

I have a small open sore in the bikini line area. Can the oil of oregano be put on an open sore? It was lanced a month and still has not healed completely.

Chlorophyll and Hydrogen Peroxide for Boils/Hidradenitis Suppurativa

I had trouble with genital boils for several years. It turns out they were caused by hidradenitis suppurativa. I also had a recent bout with cellulitis on my calf; that was fixed by green smoothies. Earth Clinic is my go-to for any health issue, so I've tried the turmeric, which worked the first few times but made my stink worse.

Because of the odor from boils, I used tea tree oil during showers and also applied it before dressing. It smelled great, but that didn't reduce or drain anything.

Chronic body odor and halitosis were the reason I started taking chlorophyll. They have somewhat improved since I replaced the liquid version with the gelcaps, surprisingly. Since chlorophyll fights staph, my new breakouts are small and painless even if I have starches or sweets. They also heal quickly. My memory and stamina are also improved.

I still had awful, dark scars from the cellulitis. I've had melasma on my chin for years, too. Someone here recommended hydrogen peroxide for acne scars, so I tried it. The cellulitis scar is fading, and it's only been about a week. I also use it on my elbows and knees. One elbow is showing marked improvement.

Here's the kicker. Earlier this week, I tried the peroxide on those chronic boils before bed because of intense itching. Yes, I worried that it would burn, but it didn't. They were greatly reduced in the morning. Generally, they would be painful to wash during bathing. Not anymore! Today is day four or five, and, as happened yesterday, I had a normal shower without pain. This time, I put some on the boils after the shower, and I expect they'll only improve. I'll continue putting peroxide on them at bedtime.

I also take ACV for hot flashes, high blood sugar, high blood pressure, and Type 2 diabetes.

Thank you, Father! Thank you, Deirdre Layne! Thank you, Earth Clinic!

Hidradenitis - I drink 1 cup of Organic Spearmint tea, 1 teaspoon of Manuka Honey UMF 15+ and 800mg Tumeric by capsule each day. This has eliminated my HS outbreaks.

Applying the Manuka Honey directly to the HS outbreaks has eliminated the scarring and discoloration.
