Am a member of earthclinic, where you contribute a lot. Please advise what supplements can help my conditions..
Symptoms of ENT problems :-
Ear - tinnitus buzzing/ringing, sore ear canals
Nose - very dry nasal passages (had a lot of mucus in my twenties, now in my forties all mucus has dried up), bleeding from my nasopharynx, nose canals bleed easily, gnawing pains from my nasopharynx area.
Throat - sore throat, blood in sputum
Headaches - weird head pains seem to be connected to my nasopharynx area also
I am worried as symptoms seem to be worsening. what can I take to stop the unnatural bleedings and cause the inflamed tissues to heal and restored to normal?
e.g. will taking bloodroot internally help? I have been using saline nasal rinse, but tissues seem to be still dry. please advise urgently. will provide more info as needed, thanks.

Some relieve.. I get some relieve from doing something physical or socially active. The entire anxiety/panic attacks double a month after I stopped the Elavil which I took for a month and quit cold Turkey due to the side effect sometimes in late August. I want to embark on a holistic and straight regimen to alleviate whatever this nasty anxiety is. I took too much negative information and let it stick in my brain. I have to reverse it.
Today, is ok. Less anxious because of the positive feedback I'm getting from you folks. Please folks keep them coming. Thanks, and truly appreciate all suggestions and recommendations from the bottom of my heart!

If you speak with your doctor about this, I would be interested in getting an update on your situation. I've been to several doctors but they all think its in my head. Even though I've come a long way with this, I would love to be back to my old self again one day. I would interested in any feedback from Ted.

Its rather a lengthy read but I'll keep it to the point and I hope I can make sense here without causing further anguish for you as I know its difficult to deal with. But this is my experience. As explained to me by a pharmacist, all of this this is common as your body is going through chemical and emotional changes. The medicine causes the brain to reduce the amount of melatonin it produces, which is what helps us go to sleep. The medicine was providing that for you and your body will realize it needs to produce more since it isn't being provided for any longer. Unfortunately, it doesen't happen as quickly as we like it to. Therefore, you need to retrain yourself to sleep. The pharmacist suggested I try an over the counter sleep aid. I started with melatonin supplements but the dreams were way too bad. I turned to a store brand sleep aid with acetophamin. I had my concerns about becoming dependent on them because I was convinced this would be the way it was going to be. After 3 days with about 2 hours total sleep, I would take one sleep aid tablet. Then took another one the next night. Then, I took nothing unless I was desperate and had been awake for a couple days.
In about a months time, I began sleeping on my own and staying asleep all night. Furthermore, a lack of sleep will contribute to you being tired, fuzzy minded, tight muscles and spasms. Its kind of like your body is in a defense mode because of sleep deprivation, all your senses are 'waking up' and perhaps you are feeling emotions you hadn't been feeling. I don't know about you but it hit me like a brick wall! Its a lot to go through. I describe the post med anxiety and depression are there because everything that was triggering you to begin with is still a sore subject for you. You didn't feel all that while you were on the meds, did you?
I adapted to my issues and all became ok when I was on the med. I was really disappointed realizing the medicine didn't 'fix' my problems. How could they? I had to resolve my issues in order for it to improve. The head noise and vertigo took a while to get past. I still get it from time to time but not like before. I noticed that when I experience anxiety, thats when it hits me the worst and I describe it like the fuzz sound of a radio that isn't tuned to a station. I have a bad habit of over thinking everything when I first wake up and my day would go about with the noise. Its really aggravating and I sympathize for you.
So now, instead of conquering everything in my mind when I first wake up, I focus on conversations on morning shows. Weird, but it helped me. Another big help for me was exercising. It helped me to release my negative thoughts and energy and I became a lot more focused and happier. As you say, "I lie down on the bed a lot thinking why, where and how did I go wrong. " Its all too familiar. Maybe instead of looking backwards, you should look forward. What ever happened is done and you can only change which path you choose to travel down. Unfortunately, you will grieve for that part of your past life but you need to come to some level of acceptance/responsibility for YOUR actions in whatever happened. And at that point for me, is when I began to pick myself up. All is not lost. You just have to find it! Wishing you the best...

Be patient, it can take several weeks to months to retrain the body, and have it quit responding to the initial event..... Muscle and tissue have a long memory, where trauma is concerned and you need to coax them back into correct operation gently and persistently. Drugs will only mask your problems.... I would urge you to stay away from them. If seeking correct alignment doesn't work, then you should consider looking at an undetected pathogen that could be causing the same syptomology. There are many candidates to investigate: mycoplasma infections, Lyme disease, Fibromyalgia, Valley Fever, parasite infections of all kinds, etc. Start with the most logical, first the spine issue, then proceed to next level if no releif. Look at all possible causes, your area you live in, any recent "flu-like" illness you have had, any insect bites out of the ordinary, etc. Do your homework, be vigilant.... There ARE answers and help out there. Good Luck!

1. Make up an essential oil blend Bergamot, Lavender, Ginger, & Rosemary (into a carrier oil, almond). Rub this on the top of your neck at hair line and over the right chest above armpit. This will relax and help lift your spirit, as well as a good anti-viral.
2. On earth clinic, you will see the mini beet protocol, try it for a while. Beet juice (high in nitrates) helps relax you & blood vessels to increase blood flow to the brain.

Asparagus is a great liver detox... (Journal of Food Science)
3. The Herb Gotu Kola has some proof in calming the startled response... (our reaction to loud noises) Will help with brain focus, anxiety.

1. Anxiety attacks and daily panic attacks. I get attacks on any noise. That how bad it is.
2. Insomnia. I can go for days without sleep and when I do get sleep I get no less than 2 hours and once im up it all over.
3. Ear and Head noise. I think it triggered mostly by the back burning sensation and anxiety.
4. Lack of focus and depersonalization.
5. Upper Back, shoulder and neck pain. (Muscle Stiffness, soreness, spasm)
6. Feels tired all the time... I sit alot and I feel I and I lie down on the bed a lot thinking why, where and how did I go wrong.
Before all these issues I was a healthy 37 years old guy who works out and eat healthy. Now, the hospital seems like my favorite spot. I have been on 3 anti-depressant pills and anxiety pills. But to all honesty medication is not my forte. I get all the side effects that comes with them. The last medication I was on was Elavil. It helps with sleep but too many side effect. I quit cold turkey despite on small dosage. Not sure if the withdrawal symptoms makes my anxiety worse. I have lost my job due to all these madness and it seems I cant focus anymore at anything. My friends and loved ones are suffering as well. I desperately need help to get my life back as all these are taking a toll on me. Any suggestions and recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and I look forward to your responses.

- eat an avocado daily (don't know why.. But it works! )
- reduce sugar and alcohol
- eat small frequent meals (don't let yourself get too hungry or too thirsty.. This seems to bring on hot flashes)
- eat oatmeal
- take 400 mg of chromium picolinate daily (200 in a. M. And 200 in p. M. )
- take flaxseed oil capsules 3x day (these really work! )
- take Vitamin E complex 2 x day
- drink lots of water
- wear all cotton fiber clothing (avoid polyesters)
- sleep with 100% cotton sheets and pillow cases
- spray your bedroom with lavender oil and water at bedtime (calming cooling effect)
For the emotional part of hot flashes (we expect them and get tense when it starts happening), try saying to yourself "I am cool, this will pass in a moment" and take deep breaths. Stressing about it only makes the hot flashes worse. If I had to pick 2 things out of the list above that worked the best, I'd say the avocados and the flaxseed oil :)

That you breath in gives a mild cough easy to miss then moves on to digestive system causing nausea, etc. Then to heart causing chest pain then to brain causing confusion, dementia, parkinsons, memory loss even shizophrenia in last days. Come and goes. Very difficult to get diagnosed because it requires a spinal tap with alot of other test. I believe I have this myself. I also believe each of my cats dogs and horses had this before they died. I cannot say if it was the final thing that took their lives. But they all showed signs of this along the way about a year before they died. Google it. It is now in southern california. Never used to be. European newspapers report that this is killing hundreds of thousands in our country and is an epidemic. Yet I have not read that here. Each of us makes our own decision on what we chose to believe as truth. Search for yourself. Study the facts and good luck. As I am still looking for something that cures it. Antifungal such as fluconazole suppresses but does not kill it. They can give it in IV but still does not kill it. H202 at 30 drops a day did not kill it or essiac. My mom also showed signs of this as well before she died too. Next I will try MethyleneBlue. The rate in this country in deaths has increased in the last few years. Telling me there is an extremely high rate of death here in the Us.

Here is a link to a comment stream where, in several detailed comments, I completely describe what protocols, herbs and supplements I used to rid myself of candida(my old anti-candida protocol): Candida Protocol
When I used this protocol I did not know what I know now from Ted's remedies -- 4 or 5 years later. My old remedy took a whole year to get rid of my candida, but Ted has said that you can get rid of it within four months. Here is the protocol I would use now to get rid of candida now:
To Improve your Body Terrain
*Take Ted's Lime/Lemon alkalizing remedies at least 2 times a day as recommended. These alkalizing remedies create the worst possible environment for the candida while simultaneously creating a healthy body terrain. Also take the BS with water remedy on it's own one hour before bed - this will help you get a good nights sleep. If you have problems with this, then use Ted's Carbicarb remedy -- this is more balanced and incorporates potassium to balance any sodium issues. Potassium citrate can be taken to more directly aid intracellular alkalization. See this link and read Ted's description.
*Take at least 2 tablespoons of VCO per day to help constipation and intestinal issues. VCO contains mainly medium chain saturated acids, very protective for the intestines, liver and blood. Contains lauric acid, caproic acid, caprylic acid and myristic acid -- these act as anti-microbials helping to destroy the candida as well as protecting the intestines from any further external microbial invasion. I don't use vegetable oils anymore, I cook only with VCO now.
*Take herb supplements like Milk Thistle or Dandylion because the candida die-off will create a big strain on both your immune system and the liver which will have to clear the dead candida debris and toxins from your blood. Think of this as taking out the candida trash. This die-off will give you flu-like or liverish symptoms and perhaps some diarrhea. Accept this and work your way through it as it should disappear once your body gains control again.
*Detox and get rid of heavy metals from your body. Due to diet and if you've taken medicinal drugs for any length of time you will have an accumulation of heavy metals. To get rid of this just drink green tea 2 or 3 times a day and eat Cilantro 3 times a week in salads. You can also use Sodium Thiosulphate to get rid of heavy metals, arsenic, cyanide and chlorine. These will get rid of heavy metals over time. Heavy metals create an ideal acidic environment for candida as well as for nanobacteria. See this link for more details on ST.
Remedies that Directly Attack the Candida
*Drink 1/4 teaspoon of borax (20 Mule Team Borax) in a litre of water throughout the day. Take this for 4 days on then rest for 3 days. So, 4 days on, 3 days off with the Borax. Borax is the ultimate anti-fungal, also good for bones and helps to balance the hormones as well as leeches out the fluoride from your body. Borax affects and raises your male hormones or androgen levels, which is why you must rest for 3 days -- to avoid gland over-stimulation. Read about Borax here.
*Methylene Blue (MB). You can buy this at any aquatics or fish supply store. Used to get rid of fungal and bacterial infections on fish. Also used throughout the last century as a successful anti-malarial. Taking MB on its own will turn your urine green and the whites of your eyes blue, but if you take at least 1000 mgs Vitamin C with the MB, these side-effects will not occur. Dosage: Two drops of a 0. 1% solution of MB in a full glass of water once or twice a day. Do not take MB after 3 or 4 o'clock in the afternoon - it gives you alot of energy so you will not be able to sleep! ! (I learned this the hard way. . . LOL) MB is a deep acting anti-fungal that is able to penetrate the blood/brain and blood/bone barriers of the body. MB is also a marvelous mitochondrial super anti-oxidant for your brain -- gives you lots of energy. Read about MB here.
*Supplementing with at least 12. 5 mgs of 5% lugols iodine per day -- two drops a day in a glass of water. You probably know the story of Dr Orian Truss, candida and lugol's iodine. Iodine will also help to balance your hormones and is also able to remove dangerous halogens like fluorine and bromine from your body.
*Hydrogen peroxide(food grade) I just use a capful of 3% HP in one litre of water a day when I need it. Sometimes I splash 3% HP all over my body, this kills everything bad topically as well as being absorbed quite well transdermally into my body by this method. Very potent against all forms of bacteria, viruses and fungus. See this link for more on HP.
Additional and Useful Vitamin and Mineral Supplements
*Vitamin C - Taken in the more alkaline form of Sodium Ascorbate -- at least 1000 mgs twice a day. Vit C is an anti-oxidant and also chelates heavy metals as well
*Magnesium -- Taken as Mag Chloride, Mag Citrate or Mag Gluconate. Dosage: 250 mgs twice a day. Magnesium is involved in over 300 major enzyme body processes and also gets rid of any staph or strep bacteria quite well. Magnesium Chloride is the best form of magnesium in my opinion.
*Natural Sea Salt or Fulvic/Humic Acid. Both of these will act in the same way as absorbtion synergists as well as help create a healthy intestine and help to supply other much needed minerals to your body.
Diet
Avoid the following: all sugar and sugar foods, dairy, vegetable oils, aspartame, sucralose, saccharine, soft drinks, junk foods, fried foods, baked goods containing white flour, red meat. Your diet should contain low amounts of white meat like chicken, turkey and fish with high amounts of vegetables. Rice is OK. See this link for more descriptions from Ted on Candida.
For parasite problems see Ted's recommendations here:
Parasite Problems
Another useful anti-parasite protocol is Hulda Clark's -- using tincture of Black Walnut, Artemesia, cinnamon, clove etc.
Regarding your common family illness problems you should investigate the following as possible causes:
* Poor common family diet
* Fungal and other infestations in your house. Poor plumbing, septic tank leakage.
* District or Common neighbourhood medical problems caused by poor local sewage disposal, poor water supply or a nearby chemical processing plant etc.

Your symptoms such as the fatty liver and swollen spleen do sound like poisons of some kind. If pesticides, then you can find out how much is in your blood literally with a 'chlorinated pesticide' blood test, done at private labs in the USA. Any search engine will give you results there. Maybe your HMO would know of it, but this test has been known and available since the 1980's, yet most don't know of it. I don't know the cost (maybe $150?)
Till then, the fastest way by far to help heal a fatty liver is to get some plain non-GMO lecithin from a health food store. A few tbsp per day should do it. It seems the overload of toxins have backed up the Phase I-Phase II toxin neutralization pathway and temporarily injured the liver cells. The other possibility for toxins you may have, since you mentioned your family, could be outgassing from some new furniture fabric, bedding, carpet, or clothes?
Finally, it's also possible it could be mould (mold) neurotoxins in your system perhaps from between the walls, in which case you can look at Dr. Shoemaker's site at www.chronicneurotoxins.com to match up your symptoms and read up on treatment.

I lived life in the fast lane from about the age of 17 to 22, working, training and drinking and looking back now my diet wouldn't have been great either.from what I can remember it was around the age of 22 or 23 I started having trouble with my stomach, it started with acid reflux and so it was around this time i was diagnosed with the antidepresent prozak. I would have taken this for a few months without really thinking too much about what they were, obviously the results must not have been good as I went off them. That was the start.
Over the next 12 or 13 years I had numerous hospital appointments where they put cameras up and down and done biopsys and found nothing, so they put it down to stress and called it irrital bowel syndrome. This is quite possible because when I think back now i was very stressed out at the time and didn't even know what stress was. I would have also taken different antidepresents during these years but never for more then a few months. I also tried alot of supplements.
Most of my life I felt run down and as if there was something lacking, and i put it down to pushing myself too hard at work as I am a roofer and my job is very physical..
As time went on the irrital bowel got worse and I needed more sleep breaks due to headaches and fatigue. After reading up on these conditions I feel that this developed into leaky gut syndrome.
Approx 5 years ago,the problems got much worse when my partner left and took my three small children with her.this caused me a great deal of stress and basically I think i suffered a nervous breakdown. I was prescribed more antidepresents including zanax, amitriptyline, centrax, seroxat and cymbalta which altogether i would have taken these over the period of two and a half years. When i did notice a slight improvment in mood and the ibs they did nothing for the headaches and fatigue.
I have not worked in the last 5 years as a new symptom has appeared and the best way I can describe it is a car with a broken altenator, when I do any physical work i get mentally shattered and takes me days to recover with lots of rest it's as if the battery runs down and theres nothing there to recharge it..
Some nights I sleep okay and others not but one way or another i have to sleep for two hours maybe more in the daytime due to a pain in my forehead that only sleep will cure..
Due to this wonderful website and your brilliant advice I'm having good results stomach wise with the alkalising formula of lemon/bs for three or four days a week and baking soda on its own after meals for the rest of the days. I also started using acv and cayenne pepper on salads and anything I fry is done with grapeseed oil but the fatigue and the headaches haven't changed.
I recently got my children back and since finding this website I finally think that I've found someone who knows what they're talking about and so i'd be really gratefull if i could get a reply from you ted detailing what I need to do so as i can get on with my life and look after my children in as normal a way as possible.
Thank you so much..
As it turns out, I had parasites and food allergies. And all the antibiotics prescribed by the doctors who were trying to do something--anything--to help me depleted two forms of beneficial bacteria in my colon which wreaked havoc on my system. Had I not gone to the holistic practioner, I would have been put on a medication that would have treated the pain, but eventually I would have ended up on disability and later institutionalized because of the dementia that was quickly progressing.
I thought I had every blood and urine test known to man performed on me by the doctors in my area, but the holistic dr. performed two simple tests that immediately clued us in to the major issues.

Hello! Hope someone can help me as Dr's can't!
I have developed a very strange bump just above my ankle and it aches and my running days are over due to this constant pain and bulge. Went to the Dr and told me its inflamation, but then another Dr told me it has something to due about my muscles. I have don the ACV, the oil pulling, the epson salt and even took anti-inflammatory drugs to assist and nothing has helped. My Chiropractor massaged the hell out of it one day and it helped, but its been 5 months now and I am still in sever pain. Can anyone understand this or help?
Thanks-

I need help diagnosing a problem my husband has been having on and off for the last 3 months. The skin around his lips and on his cheeks is bright red and the burning is VERY intense. He is olive skinned, but it looks like he has a terrible sunburn. Now it has become very dry and the skin is peeling off. His cheeks are somewhat swollen, too. At first we suspected he needed to detox and he has been taking herbs for that, but the condition keeps getting worse. He did see a doctor who did some bloodwork and an ultrasound on his abdomen and everything checked out fine. We are desperate for any ideas. It doesn't look anything like rosacea, but after doing an internet search, I can find nothing similar to what he has. We are living in a foreign country and I don't have a whole lot of faith in the doctors being able to diagnose this. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Google (bob butts / water cure) for some understanding of how electrolytes especially salt can affect your blood pressure in a positive way if you know what you are doing. Also check out L arginine and L citrulline
Good luck and God speed on your journey to health.
