Writing another post for my friend, Cayenne pepper was the one thing that worked. I got the capsule form from amazon 90k+ shu which I cannot find anymore to put the link on here. so you will have to find in a store somewhere. im sure you can get it in powder form but seriously get the pill form. 100k shu powder is super hard to just mix up and swallow. The cayenne will burn like crazy but its a good burn its dull and feels like its doing something. have something to eat when the burning starts you want the burn because that is healing the area. there is no need to stay in the burn for long because you are going to repeat it a few times and each time it will get better and better. I only had the burn once and I just started eating with it and that worked just as well without the burn. This is the most effective stomach ulcer cure I experienced. nothing even came close. everything that seemed to work just made it come back.

you guys really need to look into Barbara O'Neill she has tons of natural remedies and hearing about cayenne pepper from here is what started my healing.

An authentic seabuckthorn oil is#1 in treating ulcers. Not from amazon. Must know where it comes from and who makes it. Seabuckthorn oil is a medicine. The one used in skin care is not a medicinal oil. Check small european/polish shops in your area. They sell small varieties of Eastern European medicine manufactured by pharmaceutical companies. It must have an amber color. Check siberiantigernaturals as well.

I just wanted to add that the cayenne pepper I was taking was 40k and its supposed to be over 90k, had a friend that took cayenne pepper it took his away. Though he said that he got this pain that was like he got hit in the gut afterward he felt good and the next day didn't need hearburn meds as quickly and eventually, it healed it to the point where he didn't need to take anything anymore.

Lugol's Iodine, 2 drops every morning

I have suffered from what I believe to be a duodenal ulcer for a few years now and have experienced relief and pretty much cure from taking two drops of Lugol's iodine every morning. It is a strong earthy flavor, so I wait for my coffee to cool to warm/lukewarm and add it then. I can't even taste in in the coffee. I wait for the coffee to cool so the high heat doesn't inactivate any of the properties of the iodine molecule. I noticed relief relatively quickly - about a week of doing it every day. I hopes this helps at least one person.

I agree with you about God healing you. I'm so happy for you. People need to put God first and it is okay to do research because God give us the wisdom and the medicine to help us. the pharmaceutical don't care. It is all about money. I'm praying for my miracle to.

Stomach ulcer for 7 years went away in less than a week after I did these 2 things:

I have been waiting a very long time to post about this, I have been dealing with a stomach ulcer for 7 years. yes my diet was bad and isn't really that much better. I dieted for 4 months eating very well healthy meals. this didn't help at all. I also took a ppi for 2 months straight gained like 30lbs from that and got off the ppi and my ulcer still hurt, yes I was diagnosed with a stomach ulcer. I could stay away from the burn with medicine.

The first 5 years was burning pain in my stomach until I took antiacids or dose daily with nexium. About 4 years ago I dealt with IBS and managed to get that to go away with bismuth supplements and probiotics.

In 2020 I started feeling fatigue associated with the ulcer so bad I could get about half way through the day and tired all the time.

I do not like doctors I lost both my parents to cancer and my mother got taken away early from malpractice, Doctors are not on my list of people I care to listen to and hardly any know anything anymore without checking their online manual that is meant to kill 1 out of 10.

I'm going to get into the supplements I tried and how nothing worked.

I have tried this list, and I won't get into what they did for me because they didn't do much.

  • licorice root - Only time I had relief was after eating a good sourced organic licorice candy, supplement didnt do anything.
  • allicin garlic - Absolutely no effect from 2 months of taking this.
  • zinc carnosine - absolutely no effect from 3 months of taking this.
  • apple cider vinegar - took this when the acid relief gave me headaches, only helped to stabilize the acidity of my stomach, did not help the ulcer
  • Blackstrap molasses - for some reason this took away my fatigue sometimes, did nothing to help the ulcer heal.
  • iodine - did nothing idk why that would even help anyways.
  • turmeric - love this supplement but this didnt help.
  • colloidal silver - nothing.

There are probably 30 more supplements I can't remember, anyways supplements did nothing for my ulcer.

Right around the time I got my ulcer I was dealing with deep emotional pain, as a man you sort of shake it off but that knot is still in your stomach. I feel this caused the ulcer. Let me tell you what healed it, and I'm saying this from my experience of this for 7 years. so take into account that I didn't just come up with this conclusion in a couple of minutes.

Healing emotional pain - The first time in my life I talked to a therapist, although disappointing and useless it did help me understand a bit more about my feelings and how the human brain/body works with dealing with this. This created a plan in my head to heal it.

Exercise - Though in 2017 I lifted weights like crazy and felt the ulcer burn the entire time, I walk 1-2 miles per day now and have for the last few months. it has DRASTICALLY changed my life things I had issues with were healing on me. I think this may of been part of how the ulcer healed but honestly deep inside I dont think this was the reason.

God healed me..... Let me explain before you allow the programming deep inside you to dismiss this.

About 2 days ago I feel a tickling feeling in my stomach right on the ulcer, like a itching that you get when something is healing. I couldnt believe it. there was no way this actually happened. I did nothing to improve my body except walk and get closer with god.... I now have went days without any sort of antiacid. I feel my stomach acidity and no burn.....

Believe it or not, The main focus here is to fix locked up emotional pain which you feel like is already healed. exercise. though I dealt with this everyday of my life for 7 years I feel deeply god healed me... because I asked for it and gave reason.... If you are skeptical on how this is possible just ask for him to reveal himself to you... My girlfriend and friends are baffled at this and I hope this at least gets you to just ask him to reveal himself.

If you have questions, please feel free to comment I visit this site a lot and have for a long time.

the study above used ACV with food 2xs per day for 7-10 day to completely eradicate h-pylori/stomach pain 100%. So I tried it. I had anemia of chronic disease, stomach pain 24/7 for a few years now. after my first dose of 1 Tbsp of ACV mixed with a couple Tbsps of Kifer because that's what I had on hand taken just before breakfast and supper and I had no more pain AT ALL not even at night. the combination of acetic acid and lactic acid create this bomb against H-pylori that apparently worked100% of the time.

I am also prone to stomach ulcers. I have had 3 in the past 10 years. I read there is a certain bacteria in the stomach that leads to developing stomach ulcers. Due to a recent family dispute, the heartburn and stomach pain was constant. Shortly before I started taking HP, I read about L-Glutamine. I have been taking 500 mg three times a day, (with meals). It has stopped my ulcer pain almost 100%. I later read that it is helpful in protecting the stomach lining. I hope this helps you.

I want to thank Judith from Indiana for her post on pink bismuth!!!

I've tried many, many things listed here and elsewhere but I needed something affordable, easily accessible and simple to prepare and her information was accurate - I googled it - it DOES kill h-pylori. Doctors don't tell you why they add bismuth to the other treatments they give for h-pylori/ulcers. It calmed the pain and the burning so well, I was finally able to lie down instead of trying to sleep upright.

BUT, what what else I did that really surprised me: I've been using cayenne capsules, but they didn't really do the trick because my esophagus was so involved, so I went to cayenne in a glass of water warm or cold, and yesterday I decided to add an equal amount (1 tsp) of Turmeric to my cayenne. A short time later, I couldn't figure out what I did to get that old familiar well being feeling that I used to have before I got sick. I traced what I did and it came down to adding turmeric. Cayenne alone didn't do that, although it did help with the pain, but together with the turmeric it was dramatic. So I fix the drink now at least a couple of times a day, but especially keep a mug by my bed for night and have a straw in it.

Then I use bismuth during the night as needed. It's like somebody gave me back a shot of my old energy also. I still get some twinges of pain, but I'm getting more sleep than I've had for a long, long time. Now what I will do, to get the most out of this is fix a cup of warm water with slippery elm powder (1 tablespoon), then add 1 teaspoon of cayenne and 1 teaspoon of turmeric and get the full benefit of all three.

Dear Elke:

What an inspirational and insightful post - thank you very, very much. For once, I can almost see the scope and magnitude of my challenges - and that is such a rare glimmer of light in what is mostly a brain-fogged reality for me. God Bless You and All Who Share here.

The responsibility for my moment-to-moment choices fits squarely on my own shoulders and undoing the unfortunate results of a lifetime of ill-informed, poor selections on my part is clearly why I am on this site, seeking answers and like minded people. And owning this gives me a sense of empowerment - "Own the problem, own the solution". I am profoundly grateful to all who post - sometimes the insights from another's casual sharing is infinitely helpful.

On one hand, I am like a kid (albeit 67 yrs old) in a candy store, due to the enriching and wonderfully hopeful stories and remedies being offered here.

On the other hand, I am a lot like Becky's post suggests - overwhelmed by the myriad of issues I face in my body and mind. The discomfort of the moment, the level of pain I feel tends to localize my priorities, and in fact, blinds me to the bigger picture to a degree that frightens and leaves me totally overwhelmed.

If I list the issues facing me (and I am unreasonably proud to actually have the cognition and brain-power to make this list right now), in order of most worrying -

1. Loss of brain power/cognition/memory/mind-fog.

2. I am 85% deaf (hereditary, I think?)

3. Bone loss and bone infection with ongoing tooth decay. (Pending surgery is terrifying).

4. Systemic Candida, which of course may well be a driving factor in all of the above. This would be number one on the list, if I had not already begun treatment. (Treatment underway for this).

5. Gut pain and permability issues.

6. Obesity (5'8" - 200lbs)

7. Low energy and concentration deficit.

8. I may well be forgetting something....

I am sporadic still in my candida treatment - trying to listen to my body, not overdo it, and skipping days of remediation when I start to have too strong a cleansing reaction. The deep hope that Bill Thompson's (and Bangkok Ted's) information, posts and book offer are the first real glimmer of light I have found in moving towards a complete removal of the toxic mold/fungus invasions of my body. Sincere thanks to them and all who post on here.

God, now I am exhausted - but you know what - 2 months ago I could not have compiled this email, so I must be doing something right!

Blessings and Healing to all,

Love and Thanks,

Anna

I have to speak up! Neither drugs or cabbage juice does the healing! The body does the healing!!! Your body is always healing itself the best it can with the conditions you provide!!! Cabbage juice gives the body more of the nutrients it needs to actually heal the ulcers. Drugs just mask your symptoms so you may feel better for a while (and sometimes drugs are needed in acute situations to supply something the body needs), but drugs do not supply the raw materials that the body needs for healing. Also removing stressers helps give the body more favorable conditions, such as no alcohol, caffeine, sugar, dairy, gluten! It doesn't mean you can never have these again, it is just helpful to abstain during healing! What is the most important part of living and healing for your body? It is the part that is missing!!! For you it may be not enough real sleep, movement, joy, emotional calm, love and laughter starting with yourself, sunshine, fresh air, hydration with pure water, real food without GMOs, pesticides, you know the rest! Always look at the big picture to give your body and yourself the best chance at vibrant living with health and not learning to manage your disease as doctors like to say.

Fresh juice without pulp should never be gulped down the pallet or drink it, rather should be chewed. Mixed with the saliva, thus the nutrients, and enzymes can enter the blood via the glands in the mouth. Think homeopathic!

I took aspirin for years for chronic pain and developed a gastric ulcer. It's better now, after several months of Apple Cider Vinegar and baking soda and watching what I eat, but I still have the pain. It prevents me from sleeping, so I really need something for this pain. Any suggestions? I already take magnesium daily as well as D3 and a good quality multivitamin.

First off, medical studies are funded by Big Pharma and they get the results they pay for or the researcher is never funded again. That is reality: Money talks and it tells them what to find and what to ignore in the research...relative vs objective study results...that is where they can fudge the final report...

Next; All proton pump inhibitors cause serious side effects, one of which is that after 2 weeks on those meds your body needs them (even if you had no gastric issues prior). I am a Registered Nurse, I have watched patients with no prior gastric issues be placed on PPI drugs "standard hospital medication lists" MDs put every patient on... Most Doctors are good people, but they are most often ignorant of the healing process, they are taught to treat patients by medicating symptoms, they match your symptoms to the PDR (Physicians Desk Reference) drug list... they are not taught to treat causes...quite the contrary. It is a serious problem when Big Pharma is on the board of directors of all the medical schools...they are.

As an RN I had to choose a different path after trying 6 different medications on my ulcers... I searched desperately online for help and found Raw cabbage juice. It stopped my horrible pain in 10 minutes and after a year of pain it healed me in less than 2 weeks. Occasionally I would go back on the juice when I was exposed to aspirin or other NSAIDS as they cause my stomach to start burning and hurting within 20 minutes. The cabbage juice has always saved me, every time for the last 17 years.

Sallyann. I had ibs d from surgery to remove my lower intestine...emergency. As my surgery was open as much of my body as possible and several surgeons I suspect a host of pathogens were introduced. But the lower intestine is the storage and forming of waste area my ibs was twofold.

My husband on the other hand lost his small intestine to RnY weight loss surgery. He has no digestion of his own. His duodenum was gone.

We both have issues. My Mom had constipation. Ulcer. Chemo damage. Then she would get the runs, uncontrolable.

So we had to solve it all. Constipation to the runs and everything in between.

Here is the list we used to correct all of our problems.

DHEA..100mg in the am

3.5 to 5 mg melatonin at bedtime.

This worked the first day but I stayed on it for 3. If it starts again I take 1 dose each for 1 day.

It usually is something I ate or drink on the road for a trip.

Before this. I could not take vitamin c or magnesium. Or take any coconut oil.

Things our family does to help...

1 whole lime squeezed...6 to 8 tsp or 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar in a glass add 1/2 tsp of baking soda let fizz. Add 1/2 glass of water and drink 1/2 hour after food 2x a day 5 days out of 7. This is Teds alkalizing drink. Corrects digestion.circulation. stops pain.cleans up gallbladder kidney and bladder. A host of wellness in every glass.

Borax 1/8 tsp of 20 mule team borax in 1 liter of clean water. Use this water through the day. In beverages. Add lemon squeeze or ice it to improve taste. Look up on E.C. search box, ted bangkok borax, it will bring up all the uses for this miracle. The most important being removing fluoride from your body.

The thiamine pathway and thiamine mononitrate. I mentioned my sources in previous note. Dr Derek e, Hormone Matters, Chandler Marrs PHD.

B2 in am 200mg restores energy lost from IBS

Dr. Michael Holick, Grassroots Health on facebook to learn about vitamin d3. I take 10,000iu a day. Solgar, 10,000iu in coconut oil

NAC n acetyl cystene a precursor to glutathione for its sulfur content and reducing mucus. 500mg 2 or 3x a day.

We take no calcium. We take magnesium instead. 250 mg of mag citrate or malate or 5 drops of mag oil in water. The malate is for those with runny stools. But after a while I find I can use them all.

Bulletproof coffee, Dave Asprys way or make your own. I do. This really helps digestion.

The elimination list

Fluoride

Msg

Vegetable oils. Use only butter or coconut oil

aluminum

Plastics

Organics as much as possible

Aspertame

Sugar

Insomnia tips.

Keep taking the melatonin.

Make your last meal before 5 pm

My husband needs extra help with his 3rd shift job. At bedtime

2.5 to5 mg lithium orate. This helps displace heavy metals and promotes sleep. Borax really helped our daughters with narcolepsy. Waking nightmares. Sleep paralysis.

GABA 500mg

500 to 1000mg niacinamide

For some people.homeopathic mag phos is enough.

I believe combining your remedies would be ok, however the best times for the healing would be empty stomach eg first waking and before bed. At these times I would suggest the honey with turmeric and/or cayenne pepper. Also have the honey just at room temperature, I have found sticky (cool) clumpy honey the best when used medicinally, as it tends to stay where it is needed longer.

Janet, I'm interested in your ibs-d getting cured, but I'm having a hard time following your post. Can you tell me, in a nutshell, what you did? It sounds like you're saying stay away from the calcium/multivitamin. But what, exactly, should I take? I cannot take magnesium due to the ibs, although I do apply magnesium oil in the morning after my shower and again before bed. I'd love to get the ibs-d and insomnia fixed!!!

Apple Cider Vinegar

Lili Our family has found that a multivitamin to be counterproductive in any healing method.

Ted here on Earth Clinic, has said that calcium is counterproductive to healing method. We have found this to be true.

The benefits of avoiding calcium are endless. As adults. Because there are very few multis without it. We make our multivitamins. This involves expense and effort. As we have finally healed most of the issues the 6 of us have had.

I have yet to see a vitamin supplement without some form of a vitamin that is less than desirable. Herbals are different. All supplements are to be scrutinized.

Excess calcium forms calcium shells in the blood to hide viruses and mycoplasma. It is unhealthy for your heart and builds up in joints. Creating pain.

Our food is full of added calcium. Our doctors hand out calcium like candy. When in truth we need magnesium and a full spectrum of minerals. Totally unavailable today. Modern farming practices virtually eliminate them.

As to liver. The bs can be the devil or the savior. We only take the 2 to 3 days a week.

There are caveats to this as thiamine pathways are often and commonly destroyed by diet, vaccines and medications. The old disease, beri beri, is the underlaying cause of much mystery.

Learning about this pathway and the detriment to our health is critical to those of us with gut issues (everyone)

Look up Dr.Lonsdale, Chandler Marrs PHD. Hormones Matter, online blog or on Facebook.

I seldom use information aside from Teds remedies here on Earth Clinic. Thiamine Mononitrate pops up quite often in his emails. When I began reading Dr. Lonsdales articles I saw a continuation of good solid health information that is not available anywhere else. They have just published the textbook that backs up his great results from this one vitamin and understanding what you are up against, autoimmunity, environmental poisoning, over medication, deadly fluoride, vaccines, depression, exhaustion.

As I embark on the liposomal thiamine. It has been remarkable the progress I am making. I thought I had solved most of my issues. But also thought some were not solvable as I am older. Apparently I have a greater capacity for wellness than I could imagine. Penetrating that interrupted pathway, after 1 week, the benefits are there.

As to the amount of supplements suggested many are needed by the gut to power your hormone health and your brain your sleep cycle.

As I spent 5 years unable to leave my house or bathroom some days. The release from ibs d is a miracle. If your intestine does not have the correct amounts of melatonin and dhea. It will not work. It will be wonky. Your sleep and your basic humanity deteriorates.

Supplements and diet are and should be reassessed periodically. We find it important as the symptoms and illnesses themselves disappear. Our modern diet and healthy food availability is so limited that one really has no choice but to supplement. Do we believe that foods are organic? Do we believe the label. Corporations rename poisons and sugars at will. The first ingredient in many classes of pharma. Is fluoride. A poison in any amount.

As I went to the co op today and looked at supplements the multis each had detrimental ingredients. I am a firm believer in targeted therapy. I am tired of being the target of Big Food, Pharma, Environmental Poisoners. Janet

I've got several ulcers and have been taking acv, slippery elm, dgl, marshmallow root, & much other natural stuff for it. Doing fine until this past weekend. All of a sudden I've gotten much worse. Now I've started having diarrhea and the dr says it's due to the acid. What can I do? I don't want to take antacids--beside being drugs, that I try to avoid, they give me side effects of insomnia and terrible leg cramps. I'm at my wits end. It seems chamomile calms the belly, but now the I'm spending too much time in the restroom while I should be working. Not good. The only change over the weekend was that I ran out of my probiotic and had only yogurt (natural, homemade) and a product called 'gut shots'.

Stomach Ulcers seal them using Cayenne Pepper and honey. The Cayenne or Red pepper works by expanding on contact with water, it can even be used to seal a radiator in an emergency. It is natural food people have eaten for many years. I took a half teaspoon with food and honey at night for a few months and now there is no need for Nexium. Stress increases stomach acid and small ulcers can form. Cayenne seals open wounds and Honey has natural antibiotic properties. And honey makes anything taste better.

B. BIFIDUM TO CURE ULCER

Peptic ulcers are mostly caused by H. Pyroli infection in the digestive system. There is an article available in the net titled " Probiotic Identified To Treat Ulcer ". According to this article, researchers from Spain identified B. Bifidum has an inhibition level of 95 % in test tube and tested its activity against H. Pylori infection in mice. After 21 days, mice treated with B. Bifidum developed fewer ulcers than the control group.

There is another article titled " Anti-ulcer effects of lactic acid bacteria and their cell wall polysaccharides " by Nagaoka et al. According to this article, B. Bifidum and B. Breve were administered orally to rats with acetic acid induced gastric ulcers. The results indicated that these bacteria provide protective systems in the gastric ulcer model.

From these articles, it is clear that B. Bifidum and B. Breve work against the bad bacteria H. Pylori and provide natural protection against H. Pylori as long as they are in sufficient numbers in the digestive system.

To cure ulcer, one need to take a multi strain probiotic capsule containing B. Bifidum and B. Breve in the morning 30 minutes before breakfast for 60 days. There are many brands of multi strain probiotic capsules containing B. Bifidum and B. Breve available online. One can select the brand based on customer ratings and reviews.

Best Wishes.

Anyway, their milk hasn't cured me. I always test negative for H pylori. Another Dr I read today insisted it was campylobacter pylori. Anyway I take oregano oil for anti parasite and I think that is what scares off the pylori bacterias. It's pretty potent stuff.

I have been plagued with duodenal ulcers since 2009. I have been tested for H pylori by several different methods and always test negative. I was on H2 inhibitor s until my last hospitalization where I needed 5 pints of blood and was still a little anemic from ulcer blood loss. 3.3 cm X 2.2 cm. Had 3 clamps installed. They put me on PPI for two weeks. It's been two years and I can't get off of them. Everytime I try I get nausea/vomiting. The rub is that not only do I need that stomach acid to digest but PPI s also destroy mitochondria, causing chronic fatigue. I can't get back to work like this. I have very little endurance and get out of breath when I have to do my farmwork or housework. Mitochondria are our energy powerhouse. I can't function normally like this. I can't walk any distance. I have severe arthritis. PPI s are doing this. I'm on all nutrients I can think of to help. Green tea has epicatechins as does Chocolate which helps build mitochondria. I'm taking a teaspoon of green tea a day. But I don't know if it can build mitochondria fast enough to counter it's breakdown from PPI s . I saw a study on rats given cysteine and vitamin B6 and it helped prevent alcohol induced ulcers. Since that's it my ulcer source, I don't know if it's helping. I have cut down to half a PPI a day for a few weeks and tried to cut down to 1/4 a pill yesterday and was incapacitated with pain and nausea and exhaustion. I will switch to NAC and see if it works any better. This is one stubborn ulcer, and not being caused by NSAIDs or alcohol or h pylori. Stress is the only thing left. But I can't help being upset over not being able to function.

I tried cabbage in 2011 before my first hospitalization from a duodenal ulcer. But maybe I didn't do it right. I'll try it again. I know I found it has glutamine on it so I took high doses of glutamine too. Didn't help. Could be probiotics. I take those. No go. But in the rat studies where they have the rats cysteine and B6, one of the studies also gave hydrogen sulfide, which is a metabolite of cysteine in the metabolic pathway, and that worked too. In the rat study. Interesting because you reminded me of that when you mentioned the sulfide smell in the cabbage you spit out.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Missal to solve these issues I found the answers were ... 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar 1/2 tsp of baking soda let fizz add 1/2 glass of water drink 2x a day 1/2 hour after food 5 days out of 7. I think the baking soda is the thing your missing. This alone can relieve pain correct digestion solve the runs. Due to removal of my lower intestine I went a few steps further under teds recommendations. I take 100mg of dhea in the morning and 5mg. Of melatonin at night. This is 25 to 50 mg per 130lbs body weight. So I started at a higher dose as I do not have the storage aspect of my intestine. It has helped my whole health picture. I was exhausted from the runs themselves. Digestion a full spectrum multi enzyme including hcl is critical to gain the nutrient from your food. Then your body has nutrients every meal to heal bromelain too. Taking a dose at the first bite of every meal. Many take additional hcl with their meals. Your sphincters within your body and the ducts that release bile for digestion need magnesium. This can be an issue for us. Magnesium malate is the easiest solution as it is mag reacted with malic acid to prevent the runs. 250mg 1x a day for a week. Then am and pm the second week and on. I find I must use topical magnesium oil to further uptake more mag.

Ted also recommend a b50 vitamin but it is difficult to find the correct type of the seperate bs in one capsule. B1 thiamine mononitrate B2 riboflavin B3 niacinamide not niacin for optimizing digestion is critical and taking 500 mg 2 or 3x a day can help. B5 panthine B6 p5p Choline inositol Paba The only correct one that I can find is Swansons activated b I buy the higher dose one and take 3x a week. Plus extra niacinamide 3x a day. Thiamine mononitrate and ribofavin in the am 5x a week. To further your healing you might consider d3 10,000iu Selenium yeast 200 mcg K2 200 mg 5 days out of 7 This is how I finally solved the pain and bathroom issues and can rejoin the world.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Thought I was having a heart attack but, after endoscopy, they say I have gastritis & gastric ulcer & stomach polyp & hiatal hernia. The dr put me on protonix, which I am resistant to try but will if I have to. So, I've started 1 tbs Apple Cider Vinegar in juice 3x per day. I also take a dg licorice tablet several times per day. What else should I do? I can reactivate my dairy kefir grains and drink that, sorta got away from it recently.

My main issue is ibs-d and I rarely feel heartburn or reflux, but get spasms where the hernia is. Could the ulcer make my ibsd worse? The Apple Cider Vinegar sure does, so now I'm in a catch 22 position--take the Apple Cider Vinegar and fix the ulcer or don't and control the diarrhea.

Also, I wonder if I just don't recognize the ulcer/hernia pain. I've always just ignored pain and discomfort. But, I'll do what I must to avoid protonix. Thanks.

Hi Carol,

I was diagnosed with an ulcer over twenty-five years ago. It healed and I've had no problem with it for all of these years. However, during the past five years I've had two flare ups. I now realize that it happened each time I took Motrin for a few days. Never again. It was 9:50 pm and I was looking desperately online for some natural relief from the raw, burning pain that was radiating from my stomach, to my right side, to under my right arm pit and to my upper back. I read your post on chewing red cabbage. I had two ingredients handy that are said to be good for ulcer relief. They were cayenne and cabbage. I tried your remedy because, quite frankly, yours was the the least scary. I want to sing. You said your pain was gone in ten minutes. Mine took six minutes. I still find it hard to believe all of that pain went away so fast. I've also been belching like crazy so the bloating is lessening. I don't know what's gonna happen tomorrow but for right now I'm smiling again. I'm writing because I feel so good that I want to share this remedy with others looking for relief.

Milk and Slippery Elm Drink

Hi Charlotte,

Zinc carnosine was recently brought to my attention for gastric problems. The combination of these two ingredients supposedly works well for healing the stomach, and a few other things,

I hope this may bring some relief to you. Best wishes!

Our lovely US government was treating our boys in WWII with cabbage juice for the infamous vitamin U. It was proven then but soon forgotten that it not only helps but CURES ulcers. Why forgotten? Naturally medical science cannot make any bucks from this angle. I know this only as I nearly died two years ago with 40 year old ulcers. The meds did nothing but complicate things, so I stopped after 10 days and did my googling. Cabbage works better and tastes far better than licorice, too. If you get the red cabbage, you also get resveratrol.

Just a warning to fair-skinned people, turmeric is wonderful for skin, (I use it freshly mixed with cream) but may make you look yellow for quite a while.

Multiple Remedies

I have been suffering from an awful stomach ulcer, lately I cannot sleep at night or I am sleeping one hour on and one hour off because the pain is so gnawing and constant. I have lost 4 pounds in the last four days because eating anything has been altogether too painful, or is accompanied by hours of running to the bathroom and being doubled over in pain. Previously to this I have cut out caffeine, alcohol and smoking. However, sugar is something I still indulge in, and know needs to stop. I read ALL the reviews in a desperate fit yesterday and went out and bought 15UMF Manuka Honey, Turmeric, Cayenne Pepper, Coconut oil, bananas, Apple Cider Vinegar and baking soda.

I had a tablespoon of ACV with a pinch of Baking soda which initially made my belly a little rumbly and also ate a big spoonful of the Manuka honey. These two combined gave me enough relief to sleep soundly for the first time in 3 nights.

This morning I repeated the ACV w/ baking soda and for breakfast made a shake with one cup filtered water, one banana, a heaping teaspoon of turmeric, a tablespoon of coconut oil, a teaspoon of cayenne pepper, a big tablespoon of manuka honey, a cup of frozen blueberries, a bit of very clean whey, organic protein powder and a scoop of Green Vibrance (an amazing probiotic and vegetable powdered blend you can find at whole foods and probably other health food stores).

I had no issues with this, and my insides stayed calm (to my delight!! )... I had this exact same shake for lunch minus the scoop of Green Vibrance (I only do one scoop a day). All clear! But then I made the mistake of having a chicken shwarma and my stomach became a nightmare again, but was settled by a scoop of manuka and hot lemon water with cayenne.

I have gotten A LOT of relief from these natural remedies I found online and am very grateful. Ultimately I know the source of this ulcer is my current job and it won't truly heal until I leave it behind, but in the meantime, I am experiencing great relief. Will continue with these smoothies for two meals per day and something simple for dinner. Not sure what yet..

If there are any significant changes or I am able to heal completely I will repost. Good luck to us all, may we all heal while addressing the root of the issue, whether it is a bad job, taxing relationship, or love of barbecue and booze. Cheers!

Fresh Baker's Yeast
Posted by David Starr (Honolulu, Hawaii) on 08/31/2016

I seem to remember reading in Henry Bieler's book, "Food is Your Best Medicine" (1965?) that fresh raw moist baker's yeast on an EMPTY stomach (maybe mixed with tomato juice?) heals stomach ulcers. Please get the book to confirm if this is correct before trying this. I just wanted to put out another option in case it might help someone.

Kefir

Kefir for Ulcers:

I have had chronic heartburn for months now, but about a week ago I started to have agonizing pains especially at night under my left ribcage, so bad that I haven't slept for days. My doctor doubled my Zantac from 150 mg once to twice a day, and I had Carafate that I used intermittently, but that didn't do. I also tried cabbage juice, slippery elm, DGL, Siberian Pine Nut Oil, bananas, probiotics, ACV, etc., and nothing helped -- until I tried plain, ordinary kefir.

I drank the first cupful of keir and I could feel relief fairly quickly, so then I repeated it often, as frequently every 2 hours or so, as soon as I felt the slightest discomfort, all day long. Today is my second day and the only reason I was able to sleep during the night was because I kept drinking it as soon as I could feel the burn/pain or before. I don't feel that agonizing pain now, and I don't appear to have the need for drinking it as frequently. Pain is an indicator and as of right now, it has diminished dramatically. I don't think things have healed yet, but it's significant that I feel so much better.

Kefir is a thick liquid full of probiotics, and it coats the tissues in addition providing the bacteria needed - and not quite the same as taking capsules. In addition, it's cheaper than all the other things I've tried that didn't work. I also reduced my food intake to softer, more easily digested foods, such as bananas, oatmeal and to non-abrasive, easily digestible foods just to keep from aggravating things, if only until I get straightened out enough and then just watch what I eat afterwards. I think I will still continue some of my medication to reduce acid, but only for a short time to make sure I continue doing well.
