Gall Bladder Issues
Posted by Karen (Salt Lake City, NV)

Have had years of trouble with irritable bowel syndrome and, more recently, gallbladder problems. Since drinking ACV (even during an attack) I find relief from these conditions and I now have only 1-2 gallbladder attacks per year after only 1 year of ACV. I previously had 1-2 attacks per month and was considering surgery.
Fungus

My husband had a fungus under his skin in the abdomen and drank 3-5 tablespoons of ACV each day and it cleared up in no time at all. Since the doctor could not explain or cure his problem, I have a theory. My husband had been on a lot of different antibiotics over the past several years for some issues he had and the antibiotics messed up his immune system where he contracted this fungus. Thanks be unto God for ACV!

Regular ingestion of ACV with water helps to reduce the incidence of foul-smelling stools. My wife was amazed!

I have been real sick with a viral infection and flu my neighbor fixed me some Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey. Equal parts of each. It has worked wonders. It cuts the phlegm in your throat and helps with all that was ailing me. I am so glad to find out about this. I also heard that cinnamon with it works wonders as well. Just a teaspoon or so. Thank you and God Bless.

Food Poisoning

I came to this site after being released from the hospital. I had been hospitalized from 2 days because of bacterial gastroenteritis (food poisoning) and severe dehydration that resulted. Needless to say, I was depleted, weak and tired the day I got out. After reading about Apple Cider Vinegar that first day out, I decided to give it a try and drank 1 tbsp straight. Within an hour or two I was bouncing around the house! I left, went shopping for hours, came home and did chores, started calling up friends... it was really amazing!
EC: We suggest that you drink straight apple cider vinegar the moment you feel you might have food poisoning. Don't wait!!! Better yet, take it before going to a barbeque, or any event where the food may have been sitting around for a while.
Dosage: In the case of food poisoning, we recommend pasteurized Apple Cider Vinegar as it is extremely strong. Grocery stores will carry at least one, if not more, commercial brands of ACV. Heinz is a good brand, but any will do. DO NOT DILUTE IT. However, be prepared for your throat and stomach to burn!
Make sure you brush your teeth with baking soda afterwards to protect your dental enamel.

After eating at a local restaurant, I had the irregular bowel movement and the runs really bad. For 5 days it lasted until I started taking ACV. I started taking it religiously, 2Tbs. morning and evening. The next day I was amazingly cured! I became regular. I know this stuff works like VOODOO.

I took a shot's worth of straight apple cider vinegar the moment I got home from a restaurant suffering from a queasy stomach. I usually dilute apple cider vinegar in water, but knew this time it had to go down straight if it was to work fast. Remarkably, it stopped my queasy stomach within 5 minutes. I am certain I did not get food poisoning because the apple cider vinegar quickly destroyed the bacteria in my colon and stomach. Amazing!
Fever

When I was an infant the Dr's told my mom I was going to die, due to a particularly high fever. She was told by an elderly friend to soak a wash cloth in acv and place one on my forehead and one on my stomach, while it smells like all get out, my mom was able to check me out of the hospital and from that day onward, it's literally been a life saver to all the children in our family with high fevers. It takes about an hour to break the fever.
Ear Infections

[Note: the following reader used white vinegar, not apple cider vinegar, to heal an ear infection. ACV might work just as well.]
My husband was suffering from an ear infection. He was confined in the hospital for almost 2 weeks still nothing happened, so we decided to check out of the hospital. And then I remembered when we were still small, whenever we had throat problems or ear infections, my mom always told us to apply vinegar on it & gargle for the throat. So I told my husband why don't we try it, true enough just after 1 day of applying white vinegar in a water on it, his ear was dry and we continue to apply it twice a day until it was completely healed, but sad enough he lost part of his ear bone because of the that infection before we found this "VINEGAR WONDER", but we are thankful to GOD, now his ear is totally healed.

Thanks to you I started using ACV and the results are wonderful. I still get breakouts occassionally therefore I am thinking of doing a internal cleansing. There are so many detox/liver clensing methods, however I will only trust my earth clinic community. Thanks.
Diarrhea

I had diarrhea (including blood) almost constantly for 8 1/2 weeks after a " holiday " party at work. I received the advice of 6 MD's, 1 nurse practitioner,& several public health nurses. I had lab tests done. Besides all that , I am a registered nurse. No one knew what was wrong with me ( and yet they wanted to do even more expensive and invasive tests). I could eat only certain things. When I would take prescription medication - I had to keep taking it. Over the counter medication stopped the diarrhea but left me in constant pain and drowsiness. This week I was blessed to remember something I heard a long time ago about apple cider vinegar. So I tried a few mouthfuls. I had already had about 6 bowel movements that day. I didn't have any more problems that day (to my surprise) even though I had eaten alot. My only problem now is to figure out what should I eat first...a pizza ?, chocolate malt ?, grilled cheese with tomato ? I am very grateful to the Almighty for creating such a thing as apple cider vinegar.

Cough, Chronic

I have 2 children that have never been immunized for whom I have made all medicines for at home all their lives. My 2 year old was suffering from a chronic cough. It lasted 5 months and none of my syrups, oils, tinctures etc were eliminating it. One day I was eating salad with a vinaigrette. He asked specifically for the dressing and drank 2 oz straight!! He continued to ask for it daily since and has seemed to have cured himself! The cough has subsided and I feel that it is due to the apple cider vinegar! What a smart guy!

Clean Burn Marks Off Pots and Pans
Posted by Stuart (Pittsburgh, PA) on 02/27/2007

My great great grandfather sold a liniment known as "IXL liniment, fit for man and beast" He claimed it to be 100% successful with all kinds of ailments and illnesses. I am not discounting the advertisements of either IXL OR ACV. One of the benefits of ACV that you failed to mention is its ability to break up black burns in pots and pans. Boil enough vinegar to cover burn mark and boil for half an hour. Keep track of contents so vinegar does not evaporate and allow to cool enough to handle. It takes a lot of hard rubbing but it will break up. Re boiling vinegar several times helps.
