I've read some stuff on the web indicating that H2O2 can create some seriously bad free radicals if ingested with vitamin C and High fat foods. Can anyone explain the relationship between H2O2 and free radical creation?

Jay, what kind of distiller would you recommend? or do you use? I trust Dr. Weil's view that distilled water is fine.. (what he drinks) and that we get most of our minerals from
The foods we eat. Also, one can always add minerals to the distilled water if they are concerned.

To Ender from Robertsdale , Al. Why would you say that distilled water is poisonous? This is false. I have been drinking about 3 liters of distilled water per day for the last 18 years(since 1992). Filtering water only removes SOME of the contaminants but steam distilling water removes a lot more. Distilled water is said to leach out some minerals but who does't want unhealthy things leached out of their bodies as long as they regularly add back in the healthy life-promoting minerals and trace elements with good nutrition and supplementation. Distilled water is poisonous. Use filtered water instead. You only need water without Cl.

The time needed to wait after food consumption will vary from individual to individual as is the case for most supplements. Generally you should try to wait 1 - 1.5 hrs before and after using H202. Also be sure you cut the FG H202 down to 3%.... DO NOT USE IT AT FULL STRENGTH!!

Although many of the OTC H202's contain stabilizers there are many that do not. The best test is to simply pour some into a clear glass and put it on a window sill in the sunlight. Leave it there for about an hour or so, after which it should be totally clear like water. If there is any change in color it contains stabilizers. However, since its relatively inexpensive to begin with, you should simply purchase "FOOD GRADE" H202 if you plan on using it internally.

If diluted enough, H2O2 should not be too much of an issue (e.g. 0.5 to 1% or less). If you want to be safe, you can use a glass straw. I enjoy mine. Also if you are regularly taking chelating agents (e.g. Apple cider vinegar, green tea, cilantro, EDTA) and taking magnesium (which helps prevent against heavy metal toxicity) this should further help.

Hi Ted - I haven't seen any reference to drinking Hydrogen Peroxide (H202) and having a mouth full of crowns (I have gold and porcelain). I saw your response regarding braces, tho. Can I drink H202 with crowns? If not, would using a glass straw be ok (keeping the water/H202 at the back of my mouth)? Thank you so very much.

I have started the H2O2 (35%) at 3 drops in 6oz of water 2-3 times per day. I am now on 6 drops per day and I actually feel more tired... I have read through numerous blogs but have not seen that posted by anyone. Can my fatigue be related to the H2O2 or do you think something else is going on?

Conservatively speaking, if you have 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide, you can start with one drop and gradually increase up to 10-20 drops of H2O2 per 250 ml (one cup) of water taken one to four times a day for four to five days a week. If you have 35% food grade H2O2, you can start with one drop and gradually increase to 4-8 drops per 250 ml (one cup) of water taken one to four times a day for four to five days a week. For serious problems, some people take much higher doses, but I wouldn't do that unless you were working along side an alternative health practitioner. This is an example, they advise gradually building up to 25 drops of 35% H2O2 up to three times a day for serious problems and then tapering off to a weekly maintenance dose after the problem is resolved. Most people won't be able to stand the taste and possible detoxification side effects at this level though.
http://drinkh2o2.com/Also remember to take at least 1,000 milligrams of vitamin C (sodium ascorbate) each day to combat the oxidative effects of H2O2. Take them at least several hours apart or H2O2 (oxidant) will cancel out vitamin C (antioxidant). As for baking soda, you could take half (roughly 1/4 teaspoon) to one gram (roughly 1/2 teaspoon) of baking soda per 250 ml (one cup) of water two to three times a day for four to five days a week. If you are sodium sensitive, you may also want to add 1/8 to 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of potassium citrate or potassium bicarbonate as well.

Hello, I've been drinking H202 for about 5 months. I am a 42 yr old male in good health except I've injured my low back over the years and several other minor injuries. I had been taking cyclobenzaprene regularly over the past 2 years(mainly for muscle spasms)and medical dose Naproxen regularly, prescribed by my VA Dr. (the VA loves to give out pain pills and are not focused on cures. Whatever costs less. I'm very thankful though that I have this medical resource. )
A friend of mine wrote an ebook on how his father-in-law beat COPD & emphysema in six weeks with h202. This was over 20 years ago and he is still alive also he continued to smoke. This is who I learned of H202 from. I put 15 drops of 35% in 6 oz of apple cider and drink. I first did the drop treatment for six weeks but only once a day. I don't do it daily even and Wow-I don't have to take the pills anymore. The achiness and early arthritic soreness in my body that I've felt for a number of years is Gone. No more muscle spasms either. Hallelujah

Scientists Track How H2O2 Keeps Cells Healthy
In a report out of Winston Salem, MA, Scientists say claim to have figured out how hydrogen peroxide is produced in the human body to assist in keeping cells healthy when bacteria levels elevate. "The report by a team of researchers at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, published in the journal Nature, said large amounts of hydrogen peroxide are produced when the immune system is activated in response to bacteria. The team used X-ray crystallography to create a three-dimensional snapshot of how the proteins interact. Scientists said a molecule known as Peroxiredoxin (Prx) helps control levels of hydrogen peroxide. If levels of hydrogen peroxide become too high, the cell's DNA and other proteins can be damaged. It basically acts as a sensor and warns the cell that levels are too high and that the cell needs to respond, " lead author Thomas J. Jonsson said in a news release. "Once that threat is gone, Prx needs to go back to its normal state." Prx becomes active again by binding with a protein known as sulfiredoxin, the report said.
Remarkably, these complex processes in our own bodies can produce, balance and even perfectly control the levels of H2O2 in our own cells to maintain a healthy internal environment. If only we were as clever as our own cells when it comes to healthy external environments! Surely we are beginning to see how all natural processes work together to maintain balance. The more we learn, the better able we will be at extending these lessons outward into the world of our human activities and processes.

I have understood that you do not or must not consume the 3% HP as it has stabilizers in it which are what makes it unfit to drink and some say poisonous but I guess it depends on how much of the stuff you might consume. I have not found any type of 3% HP which is free of stabilizers but have quickly located the 35% Foodgrade HP here in Columbia, SC and am taking it. Possibly you have discovered some 3% which is foodgrade. Anyway, I dilute it into water, juice, coffee, etc. And drink it that way... Usually 8 drops twice a day as that is what I have worked up to. One person was saying to dilute it to a 3% solution and then drip it into a drink... But, NO, you take the straight 35% stuff and drip it into at least 3-5 oz. (more may be better) of liquid as the liquid becomes your diluting medium if you get my 'drift'. It's way too darned strong otherwise and might do bad things to your health. I am still detoxing and can not say exactly what all it is doing for me at this point. Hope this helps.

Hydrogen Peroxide (that's the 35% foodgrade)... I do NOT dilute down to 3% and then use the drops of it that way. I consume the full strength 35% drops in water or juice or whatever. Diluting the 35% down to 3% is not what was told me on this site. I am using an eyedropper and dripping the 35% right into the liquid and then consuming it. Because when you drip it into the water or juice it becomes diluted by adding it that way. You, of course do not drink it full strength at the 35% strength.. It must be placed in at least 3-5 ounces of liquid first.. I bet if you did consume it full strength that you certainly won't do it again (picture Old Faithful erupting at Yellowstone Park). It might harm you in some way so don't do this. I have had no reactions whatsoever to using the 35% as I have just mentioned. However, neither are you supposed to create a 3% solution out of 35% and then use it as this will simply be way, way too weak.

Tina what concerns me is that you say you are using 35% food grade but you never mention that you diluted it to down to 3%. I sincerely HOPE you diluted it. If you read correctly - you take the 35% food grade and dilute it DOWN to 3% and THEN use a few drops. NOT A FEW DROPS AT 35%. That is terrifying and I hope you just typed it wrong.

★☆☆☆☆WARNING!
Heavy metal interaction with H202 caution. I had been happily using h202 for several months, then started have concerning heart palpitations, though I was not linking this in any way to h202. I live in an area with high naturally-occurring arsenic in the water supply. A neighbor mentioned that most filters do not filter out arsenic and that I should be buying drinking water. This little tidbit caused me to look up arsenic poisoning - which fit my symptoms exactly: headaches, confusion, drowsiness and heart arrythmias. The latter is where the h202 caution comes in. I read that "arsenic in cells stimulates the production of h202. When h202 reacts with certain metals such as iron or manganese, it produces a highly reactive hydroxyl radical, " which can cause neurological imbalances and disruptions in the electrical-voltage complex of the heart, resulting in disruptive intervals in the QT (that's that lovely little bio-battery we all have that keeps our heart beating at regular intervals). I stopped taking h202 immediately and stopped drinking my water. I have begun a heavy metal detox (I am also having old mercury/silver fillings removed right now) and will complete this before I go back on the h202. I think it important that, if readers have been exposed to metals or other harmful toxins, they may want to consult with health care providers about h202 interactions before proceeding with its use.

H2O2 might aggravate hyperpigmentation, but I haven't seen a case here that had it. Magnesium chloride seems to be most consistent in resolving this but it is rather slow. In some cases if hyperpigmentation is due to sun exposure, usually aloe vera oil works, but is applied lightly. In yet another case, I found melasma came from a vitamin B deficiency, such as B2, riboflavin and was quickly resolved in a week or two. However, I prefer to try B2, with some vitamin B complex. Usually B2 dosage I used is about 100-250 mg.

Actually I have made update in the protocol here to make it more effective. I have a few cases of melasma that seems to respond better with the magnesium chloride solution remedy. Basically it is made of 60-70% magnesium chloride and 30 to 40% water. The solution is applied to the skin four or five times a day. So if the hydrogen peroxide did not work, the magnesium helped. There is another one that had similar problems and seems to respond to B2 100 mg, folic acid 10 mg and B12, but this one seems helped gradual clearing up of the skin after about a month of supplementation. It's important however that bowel movement is maintained at once or preferably twice a day, by taking perhaps 20 to 30 drops of magnesium, 30 minutes before meals. If there's enough cases of melasma, I can at least say which ones worked the best, but what I do know is in some cases of melasma, it turns out to be a vitamin B deficiency. That's why B2, B12, and folic acid works. However, some B50 vitamin B complex may need to be taken also, but that's usually twice a week or three times a week maximum to once a week minimum.
