I was suffering from a sinus cold past few days and decided to try this H-P and sea salt treatment and within one day was 75% and next day 100%. Thanks for everyone's advice and it worked without medication like a miracle. It will be a Merry Christmas after all.

In 1904, Charles Marchand publishes the last of a series of 18 books on hydrogen peroxide as a treatment for typhoid fever, gastric ulcers, bronchitis and tuberculosis and more other disease. This is the most in depth study I've ever read.

From the book - The Therapeutical Applications of Peroxide of Hydrogen, Hydrozone and Glycozone, by Charles Marchand 9th Ed 1895

GENERAL DIRECTIONS FOR APPLYING

PEROXIDE OF HYDROGEN (MEDICINAL), H2O2, IN THE TREATMENT OF DISEASES CAUSED BY GERMS.

NOSE. —THROAT AND CHEST DISEASES. -TREATMENT.

CATARRH OF THE NOSE AND CATARRH OF THE THROAT.

Causes: Micro- organisms, principally of the micrococcus species have been detected by microscopical examinations, by scientific men and by myself, in the mucous discharges from the nostrils of persons afflicted with this disease. Those germs which are the cause of the infection are readily destroyed by Peroxide of Hydrogen (medicinal), and there is no danger for the patient to use these remedies in any quantity, as both are positively harmless.

Treatment: By means of an atomizer, made of glass and hard rubber, spray the nose and the throat copiously and repeatedly twice or three times every day with a mixture of:

1 tablespoonful Peroxide of Hydrogen, (medicinal), with 4 to 10 tablespoonfuls of distilled water (cold or lukewarm).

According to the degree of inflammation in the mucous membranes of the nasal cavities ; and, in case of extreme sensitiveness, use even still a larger proportion of water.

NOTE—In the absence of an atomizer, apply the remedy to the nose by sniffing the liquid from the hand through the nostrils repeatedly, and gargle the throat. It is always beneficial to swallow the remedy. Do not blow the nose too hard, as it might cause a temporary bleeding. In chronic cases of long standing, especially at the beginning of the treatment, when the tenderness of the mucous membrane is excessive, it often happens that the patient will feel, during one hour or so after each application of the remedy, a partial obstruction of either one or the other of the nostrils.

This very unpleasant feeling is often accompanied by frequent sneezing, which is due to the tickling sensation produced in the nasal cavities by the presence of a great quantity of minute bubbles of "O2, " being set free from the decomposition of Peroxide of Hydrogen coming in contact with the infected surface. The unhealthy secretions are destroyed by "O2" and the cleansing of the nostrils is made perfect.

In chronic cases, when the middle ear is affected, deafness is often the consequence of this disease. Then ozonized vapor inhalations should follow immediately the spraying of the nose and the throat, and should be administered by means of Hand Atomizer and Ozonizer, with a mixture thoroughly made of:

half Peroxide of Hydrogen (medicinal) and half chemically pure glycerine.

Renew the mixture every three days. It is important that the above mixtures should be made perfect by shaking the bottle well, otherwise the spray-tube of the apparatus might be clogged on account of the syrupy nature of the glycerine

A permanent cure may be effected in a very short time.

When chronic Catarrh of the Nose is very tenacious and painful, it is necessary at night, before retiring, to apply a few drops to the nostrils. Sniff it hard, as it will accelerate the cure.

In many cases the incurability of Chronic Catarrh of the Nose is due to partial or complete obstruction of the nasal cavities, caused by some abnormal conditions of growth, differing in their nature.

When such is the case, apply Peroxide of Hydrogen, as heretofore explained, morning and evening. After ten or fifteen days, if the excrescence does not disappear, it will be necessary to have a surgical operation performed for its removal.

After the excrescence has been removed or destroyed by means of the thermo-cautery, or any other operation (no caustic should be used, as it will most likely destroy both taste and smell), an absolute cure is certain if the above treatment is earnestly followed.

The profession well know that the therapeutical agents used for the treatment of this disease have been as follows: Bichloride of Mercury. -Calomel. —Sulphate of Zinc. -Sulphate of Copper.-Alum. -Nitrate of Silver. -Carbolic Acid. -Salicylic Acid. -Permanganate of Potash . -Borax. -Boracic Acid. —Subnitrate of Bismuth. -Common Salt. Muriate of Ammonia. -Extract of Eucalyptus. -Thymol. -Cocaine. -Camphor, etc.

It is easy to understand why Peroxide of Hydrogen (medicinal), will surely accomplish a permanent cure.

I use hydrogen peroxide (about 4-5 drops) in a nettie pot with himalayan salt and cleansed nasal cavity with great success. Also do hydrogen peroxide in a track S nebulizer. It does not take much in either device, I use them both and have had amazing relief by cleansing sinus pathways as well as lungs.

I leave it in for at least 10 mins each ear, pretty much until it stops fizzing. I use 50/50 6% HP and warm water in a small dish, dip a cotton ball or pad in it, lie down my side and drip the liquid into my ear(s), have a towel and paper towels handy. Watch Earth Clinic videos on Youtube while lying down to pass the time . ;)

I used to get sinus infections about twice per year, but have been using hydrogen peroxide successfully for 3 years now and have not needed antibiotics. I use the 3% solution one can obtain at the pharmacy and dilute it to one part hydrogen peroxide to 15 parts warm water. (This avoids excess irritation.) I do this in a little medicine measuring cup and then suck it into a child's medicine syringe. (Both these items can be purchased for little cost at any pharmacy.) Then I get on my hands and knees on my carpet and inject the mixture up each nostril. Then I put my head down which keeps the solution in my sinuses and keep that position for 4 to 5 minutes. I have found that I usually need to do this 2 days in a row and the infection is completely eliminated. I love it. It is a miracle after struggling for so many years. Hope this works for you as well.

I developed a sinus infection after battling pneumonia and the flu for a month. It started, of course, on a weekend. My face could barely be touched and my teeth ached so badly--- down to the jawbone. I was using hydrogen peroxide to rinse my mouth and throat and wondered if I could use it in a Neti pot. Thank you Earth Clinic for the confirmation of how to use it! I have used 3% hydrogen peroxide and distilled water, 1/2 and 1/2 in the Neti pot three times today. (10am-1pm-4pm.). Second and third time got better each time, face quit hurting, tmj joint pain almost gone and teeth feel like the fever they had in them is dissipating. Got a ways to go, it was bad! I'm on my way--thank you again!

I get sinus infections at least twice a year. I think it is tied to my allergies and after a long lapse of sleep. Not to be gross but when I know I have an infection I go ballz-to-the-wall with the H-Peroxide mix with the neti pot. It works. 1/4 of the mix is H-Peroxide. Hurts a bit but gets results. Nothing like seeing yourself blowing out an infection in the sink! Sometimes there is a little blood mixed in with the green mucous but I think that's normal when the infection is pretty bad.

WARNING!

The person who says they use a 50/50 solution of peroxide to saline has to be joking! The first time time I tried the wash I used 2 tablespoons of peroxide to 1 packet of saline and 8 oz. Lukewarm water for my netti pot squeeze bottle (much easier than the netti pot). The first blast drove me to my knees it burned so bad. My nose foamed and I swear it felt like the foam came out my eyes and ears too. I know it didn't, but it sure felt like it did. As soon as I could breathe again and stand, I rinsed with plain, cool water. For an hour after that attempt, I could feel the uncomfortable bubbling sensation in the roots of my jaw teeth.

There is some validity to the treatment however. I now use 1 teaspoon with the saline solution. I was on antibiotics for a year, had my 2nd sinus surgery last year, and continued with aantibiotics for an ongoing sinus infection for another 7 months. I gave up on the antibiotics for the peroxide wash and have not had a sinus infection for 4 months now.

Oh my god! I had covid 2.5 months ago and I was in hospital 3 times the first 3 weeks...i was coughing and phlegmy and stuffed up and I had 2 courses of antibiotics when no help at all. I have been dealing with difficulty getting full breathes and the stuffy post nasal drip was making me cough like crazy. I have been so miserable and almost depressed. First off, I heard about hydrogen peroxide in the ears and at this point I had tried every natural remedy I could buy. must have spent close to $500 on vitamins and remedies at natures fair market. I put the drops in last night and I was 90%..it was within minutes, maybe 5 min in each ear. Then I read these posts and I did a nasal rinse and gargle and I felt clear and the best I felt in a long time...amazing! I did a rinse solution of TBSP of Hyrogen Peroxide, 8oz of distilled water, neilmed saline pouch x1, and a drop of baby shampoo. I'm going to do this 2-3 times a day. I will also do a gargle 2x and ears 2x...I hope I only have to do it for 2-3 days. My only thing now is getting inflammation down cause in my nostrils still look small and constricted..question: Will this solution help inflammation over time or should I be adding something else to help with that?

I used food grade H202 3.5% knowing the product I thought the suggested ratio was too strong, so I only put 2 cap fulls in the neti pot, making it more 20 parts water to 1 part peroxide and it still burned like hell.

Dear people, before you make an affirmation please read some more materials about the subject. Quote : the hydrogen peroxide do not wash the bad and good bacteria, why so?? because good bacteria thrive when is plenty oxygen and bad one thrive when your body has less oxygen than 60%.

Best folk remedy that works! h2o2 TO SOAK in each ear for at least 1-2 mins each side twice and drain out... do this 2-3 times a day - don't know how it works but it really does. I use this on myself and my kids at the first sign... after using it.. no more congestion, nose blowing, etc. Seems to work for some seasonal allergies too.

Like many people who have written on this site, I suffered with sinus infections until the bouts with them became more frequent and intolerable. I would break down every year and get a steroid shot after becoming desperate. After finding this site, however, I decided to try the neti pot and added a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide to the already pre-mixed solution packet in lukewarm water. I was not looking for a miracle, but must say that I feel like a new person after only a day and a half. I have used the solution three times and can tell that my glands are not as swollen and that my sinus passages are starting to open. I no longer have the eye or face pressure that is so painful with an infection. Truthfully, the mixture is not pleasant, but it works. After the first time you use it, you will get your same symptoms returning, but it is after the second/third use that you realize that you are being cured of your actual infection. Thanks to this web site I hope to never need antibiotics again. Thank you.

After reading posts about peroxide for sinus infections, I decided to give peroxide a try. After putting a couple of drops of 3% in each nostril I felt immediate relief from the throbbing pain in my face. The peroxide though had a burning sensation for about a few seconds it nevertheless did the job.

Oh most definitely Hydrogen Peroxide in the ears will clean out much debris in there. I heard once that to put Hydrogen Peroxide in the ears at the first inkling of a cold or sick feeling. In fact I have done this for seven minutes or longer for each ear until there is very little bubbling in the ears. It is very useful for this purpose. On two occasions the full blown cold/sick was stopped in its tracks. I mean, I did not have to go through the full cycle of sick, sicker, and sickest from the cold. I also used prayer to Healer and obedience to God, and Vitamin C and EVOO and turmeric and other anti inflammatory things like Coconut oil and (see other posts).

I can't stop laughing after reading Chucktruck's response here. As I read through all the entries here I thought that maybe I was overdoing it a bit. LOL I too use straight 3% HP up both nostrils and in both ears. It sure can hurt, so it's not for the faint of heart. I know it's working if I think my eyeball will explode. LOL Straight HP is strong medicine, but if you can bear it, it does work. Don't forget the ears too!

Tip: You should always use salt with the warm water and a little peroxide. The reason you should use salt and warm water its because it mimics what we already are made of. salt water mainly, actually the exact same amount that exists in our oceans. By using the salt or saline solution along with warm water it will not give you the drowning effect or pain in your nostrils. it will flow smoothly. Our bodys use peroxide as an antibotic. I also use peroxide when i have tooth aches or mouth rinse, anyway hope this helped.
