I really think that one of the problems with the one prescription or herbal treatment for all approach is like throwing a handful of pebbles at a building. Each one of us has a different make up so what works for one may or may not work for another.

I have suffered from gout for thirty years. My first major attack was after drinking a bottle of red wine with prime rib. The next day my right toe was so swollen and painful I could barely walk. I went to the hospital and they came out to the parking lot with a wheel chair to get me.

I have tried every perscription drug and every juice or berry recommended on this site except the black bean juice. Beans and or peas of all types trigger immediate severe attacks for me. One bowl of venison chili will cause a severe attack the next day. I can count on it.

I have taken a capsule with these ingredients for several years and it works the best of anything I have ever taken. I would think a person could experiment with the mixture in it because most of the herbs are time proven and quite safe. Yucca, garlic, artichoke, milk thistle, and turmeric. Turmeric itself has been used safely for over 2000 years to cure or relieve a host of ailments!

I found a remedy for gout on line somewhere. I can't remember where but it really worked for me. It said to take fiber, vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid), vitamin E and vitamin A. I take fiber capsules 2-4 per day, vitamin B5 2 500 IU pills or capsules per day (you will need to go to someplace like Vitamin World to get B5),vitamin E I take 1000 IU per day and I take 8000 IU of vitamin A. This made a huge difference for me. I can't say it has cured me completely but I went from hardly being able to walk at all (extremely painful) to walking 2 miles every morning. None of these supplements are expensive. I really hope it helps everyone who is suffering from this cruel condition. All the best to everyone on this site.
