I had a bad cough that irritated my throat. I decided to look at what to try to make it go away. I found that ACV could help, but I was scared to try it since it has a very raw taste. I tried everthing from taking over the counter drugs to drinking tea with honey and nothing worked. I decided that I would take the apple cider vineager with some extra virgin olive oil and make my own salad dressing so I'd still get the ACV without the stinging taste. I couldn't believe how quick it worked. While eating the salad, I coughed a bit, but it didn't hurt my throat. It's been one day and no coughs since.

I had a chronic cough that would not go away. I couldn't sleep at night due to the cough and the vomiting, went to my doctor who told me it was an allergy and would go away by itself. The beginning of the Year I got the Flu and went to see my doctor, but saw his partner who inquired about my cough and stated that maybe I had silent reflux,I got on the internet to do research and thank God I got your site and tried the Apple Cider Vinegar. IT WORKS, thank you I wasn't looking forward to taking a pill for my problem. Keep up the good work and THANK YOU AGAIN.

Dear Earthclinic, I just mixed 2 Tablespoon of ACV with 1/4 Teaspoon baking soda in 8 oz of water as mentioned by Ted. However, the pH strip tested a 5.0 acidity on this mix. I then added another 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda and remixed it and tested it again -- this time the solution became neutralized to 7.0. So perhaps the correct mix should be 2 TBS of ACV to 1/2 TSP of baking soda? Just wanted to confirm with you all. By the way, I drank this today and my cold seems to be melting away! My coughing has stopped (after several days of cough attacks) and I am so relieved!!! Thanks so much for such a wonderful site!!! I am learning something new everyday! Regards, Citrine

for a cough I always take ACV with honey and it works for me. Also I drink ACV every day it does not matter what time of the day. ACV cures appetite, flu and acne. This is something that I've been using for years from yeast infection to everything.

I am SHOCKED. I am exited beyond belief. I read your site yesterday after searching in google for "chronic cough cures". I read the apple cider remedies. i thought... no way. I had the flu about a month ago. Once it was over, I developed a NASTY cough that wouldn't go away. In fact it was getting so bad, my brain hurt when I coughed seriously thought I had contracted something potentially life threatening. Yesterday I got the vinegar, I took a few tablespoons mixed with some olive oil. Today, no coughing AT ALL. Only a tickly throat as some phlegm comes up. I knew vinegar cured heartburn but I had NO IDEA it cured a cough!!!. i mean this was bad, and overnight it's gone... I've been taking it all day - at first it burned my throat (which was raw to start). Today.... nothing. I am shocked. I am liking the taste more and more.

Just reading thru your site, I immediately got up and drank some ACV even before I finished reading all of my options. There were immediate results. The coughed eased up and as I continued reading I found some other things that I intend to try.

I was told by a co-worker to try this apple cider remedy, however, I was told you rinse your mouth with it and not swallow it. Can you please clarify? On your website it states to drink it mixed in water. I constantly cough and it seems as though my throat is conxtantly filled with mucus that I just cannot get rid of. I will cough to a point where I practically cant breathe at times. Ive tried to go see a doctor re: this but all they tell me is that im healthy and theres nothing wrong with me and what I have is hereditary. Please help.

Amanda from Los Angeles, I just came accross your post while I was trying to decide what to do for my bronchitis. I'd like to offer an opinion on your condition. It sounds to me like you have post-nasal-drip. It is usually caused from allergies. Dairy would be the first thing I would look at, because I think that is a pretty common sympton. But, it could be just about anything. The list is a mile long, it could be something you are injesting or something in your home, workplace, or in your yard. How about seeing a allergist? You might want to look under Allergies on Earth Clinic to see what others have tried. I wish you luck, and I hope you get my feedback. Ksy

I have had this nagging cough for about 3 months now and it is driving me crazy!! Last week I found this website and tried the ACV method, so far it has not worked like everyone else. I have taken it with natural honey and have taken the mixture up to 4 times aday! I am also doing the hydrogen peroxide method/with no results! When I cough I am coughing up thick white mucus. Am I jumping the gun or do I need to keep on taking this longer? I am at my wits end! It tickles like crazy!

★★★★☆WORKED TEMPORARILY
I had a bad cold with lots of coughing. I read about ACV on this site and decided to give it a try. I used 1 Tbsp ACV, 1 Tbsp honey and about 6 oz of hot water. It tasted much better than I expected and gave temporary relief to my cough.

I have been having a severe cough for a year now. I have tried the apple cider vinegar but I just can't get past the taste. I literally gag on the stuff no matter what I do. I hold my nose, everything! Can someone please tell me how so many people take this stuff and love it? I am very frustrated here. I have used the standard 2 tbs with 2 tbs honey.

Apple Cider vinegar did not work for the persistent cough I had and delayed me seeking medical advice. I eventually needed antibiotics and steroids to help my breathing. Now permanently on an inhaler. Sorry!
