B5, Lysine

In reply to Jordan from Memphis's post on 11/21/20, who wrote: "My life is controlled by this horrendous disease. I just ordered hypericum from Biogetica. Can you tell me exactly what (else) you took? Were you on a certain diet? I would pay good money to speak with either of you guys. I've been trying for 4 years to get rid of this stupid disease. I am so desperate. Thank you for your reply!"

Hello, I'm sorry for your suffering. I used to break out every month with herpes. I've cleaned up my diet a lot, and quit drinking alcohol. But I would still get an outbreak. I started taking vitamin b5 (pantothenic acid) in high doses, as well as lysine every day. I haven't had an outbreak in probably 6 months or so. I think these two things have helped me. It also cleared up acne problems.

I hope that helps.

I drink lemon water to prevent the outbreaks, still outbreak free. I did have another minor OB when I started slacking on drinking the lemon water. I am 100% sure this is helping me. I have never used it directly on a OB though.

DMSO, Hydrogen Peroxide

I used 3% h2O2 on a cotton pad to cleanse the affected skin, followed by DMSO (applied with clean hands... NO SOAP) at the first sign of itchiness (HSV2) at bedtime. Repeated for 3 days. Perfect results. Outbreak averted!! I continued to use h2O2 occasionally for the next few days.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Dear Ju, your immune system has held the herpes virus in check (dormant) and it is likely a recent stress on the immune system has tipped this balance. You can boost the immune system with lysine and whole food vitamin c, eg rosehip powder, and others. Your ACV you can take internal and apply external, it will likely sting, you may like to mix with Castor oil. If you do not get improvement from the acv, Further research how lecithin defeats herpes and shingles virus. Best to you.

BHT

Hi. I've had hsv2 for almost 2 years now..one night with an ex. I was suffering from this disease every single month. I only get outbreaks every 28 days..when it's that time of the month. I was nervous about trying BHT, but I'd already tried lots of other things and said why not. I tried the Oregano oil mixed with coconut oil...this didn't help at all. I've also tried extreme doses of Vitamin c and Lysine pills...this didn't help either. Finally I tried BHT, I ordered it from amazon. Because I know exactly when my outbreaks will happen, I started right away taking either 4 or 5 250mg pills in the morning with one full bottle of water. I'm now one month free of outbreaks. This is the longest I've ever gone without an outbreak, while I don't think I'm cured, I certainly think that I've found something that give me some sort of relief.

Also during the week when the outbreak was prone to come I took 2 more 250 mg pills at night so I was taking a total of 6 to 7 pills a day. During the time that I'm less likely to have an outbreak, I just take 4 pills in the morning. I will keep you guys posted hopefully I'll never have another one again. I've also bought the food grade peroxide, but haven't tried it yet because the BHT seems to be working. I hope I'm not taking too much of it.

Karen in MI, Herpes is not in the blood, that's why we can donate blood. It's a viral disease in the nerves and lives within cells of our spinal nervous system. You acquired it thru the friction of nerves to nerves while rubbing skin with an infected partner. When trying something new to find relief from HSV, please get a fresh IgG test before starting and after so as to measure your immune system's antigens response. There are affordable online sources in lieu of your Doctor that will place the blood draw order to your local Lab and then privately email you the results the next day. No appointment needed, No Doctors fees, you pay directly.

Neem Seed Oil
Posted by Om (Hope, Bc Canada) on 10/27/2015

To Fighting, (Florida) ---

Neem seed oil should not ingested but used topically, that is, trans dermally. But the neem leaves powder can be used as a tea, or better, in capsules.

Such large amounts will derange the doshas and create serious problems. In moderation, it improves the immune system among numerous benefits.

For your particular problem it may also be worthwhile to research turpentine and visit Walter Last's website. If there is a weight issue, Neem will help, but if weight loss is no problem, caution is advised. Neem will do many things but it would be advisable to find out your particular dosha and then proceed with caution.

Just a suggestion and wishing good success. Namaste, Om

After more than 30 years of trying to get rid of herpes, I tried apple cider vinegar (2 tea spoons on 8 oz water early mornings) and it worked for almost 3 months, but it came back viciously. Reading Edgar Cayce's remedies on herpes, I started 1 minute gargles with Glyco Thimoline, 3 times daily, after brushing my teeth. IT WORKS! I had more than 4 months free, until I had to travel abroad and run out of Glyco. Now back to the Glyco gargles, I've had almost 2 moths free up to date. God bless Edgar Cayce and Earth clinic.

If you're acidic, you need to hydrate. And, yes, that will simply dilute the acid but that's water's primary job.

Oregano Oil

Just an idea. I wonder if anybody has tried using Probiotics to fight herpes.

I have had chronic shingles practically my entire life. This probably created the chronic meningitis later on which I haven't had a problem with for a while. I noticed when I took an antibiotic, my shingles acted up. This leads me to believe that the source of infection is related to the colon gut flora. That is where most of the immune system lies.

Maybe try addressing the problem that way.

Apple Cider Vinegar
Posted by Alex (Australia) on 06/28/2018

Further to my ACV trial above:

I have since learned that the Apple Cider Vinegar was increasing my pH Balance.

It seems the ACV that is not actually providing the direct relief here. It's my pH level.

I went and bought a personal pH tester and I piss on it whenever potty break is required to check.

If my pH is low I take some ANTACID (Alka-Seltzer, Eno, Ural, Etc) to boost it. Currently, I'm using Eno cause it's cheaper.

I have seen an immediate improvement in controlling the external lesions to the point where the now don't actually break the skin.

I continue to take Lysine (which seems to toughen the skin) and Vit C daily.. and double it if I feel an outbreak.

I am certain when I am under attack even though there are no lesions because I feel the hyper-sensitivity in the back of my legs and the usual prodrome feelings.

I've read on other forums some people who claim it has stopped outbreaks altogether. I would love to get to this stage. I think its definitely the right track.

Can anyone else confirm success with controlling pH levels and Outbreaks, please?

Kale

I used to have outbreaks faithful every month. Especially around my period & worse with higher amounts of STRESS, & CAFFEINE. Honest to goodness, this works...!

Whenever I feel an outbreak coming on, I buy Kale at the supermarket, rinse it, and eat a leaf (raw). Twice a day for 2 days makes it virtually non-existant. If I've already broken out, I eat a leaf or two and in about an hour, maybe two- I've forgotten they were there; No itching or pain from lesions. The next 2 days, lesions are shrinking and almost dried out- day 3 DONE and on with LIFE!

I now eat Kale at least once a month, especially around "breakout time" and I don't "break out". I do also watch how much caffeine I take in and have just about eliminated most nuts out of my diet. If I go overboard on Arganine's, I load up on more Kale.

Hope this helps.

Oregano Oil, DMSO

Okay, so I was diagnosed w/hsv2 back in Dec/2012. Since then, I have tried everything from Valtrex both oral and topical, Fenvir, Dynaclear, L-lysine, olive leaf extract, colloidal silver, massive dosages of vitamin C (which has done wonders for my skin BTW-pimples are gone), vitamin B-complex, zinc, hydrogen peroxide, ACV both interally and externally--nothing seemed to work. I felt like I was having an OB every other week. They were minimal though. I would get the tingling/sore feeling and sometimes a tiny bump would form, but no blisters. My skin would just be irritated probably from all the junk I was putting on it. But never the less, it was literally EVER other week.

Well, about 3 wks ago I had an OB and OMG did it hurt. I went to a Chinese herb doctor on the second day of my OB. She put me on pills..... I was taking 30 pills a day and a 6 weeks supply cost me $200. She told me I would have to continue taking the pills for at least 6 months, possibly all the way up to year before I would see results, meaning--no more OB's. I bought into the idea for about 3 weeks, then decided I was tired of swallowing massive quanity of pills and quit bc I was still getting the tingly feeling/irritation.

So, I further researched the web and decided to give oil of oregano a try. It was $30 for a small dropper bottle, I figured what do I have to lose. I've tried just about everything on the web!! I began doing 4 drops under my tongue (twice a day) and then at night (4 drops) rubbing the oil onto the base of my spine. (Yes, at night bc the scent is very powerful and not pleasant).

I had one episode about 2 days into it, where I got the tingly feeling, and decided to drop OOO on a q-tip and put it on the irritated area. OMG, did it burn. I should have diluted, but didn't. Lesson learned!! Anyways, with one treatment, the tingly feeling went away and I have not had one since.

I was having such good results, so I decided to take it a step further and ordered DSMO in the cream form (the rose scented one off EBAY). I began rubbing a mixture of OOO and DSMO onto the base of my spine every night.

Not saying this is for everyone, but it has been amazing for me. Not once since I started using this combo have I had any predome symptoms. I couldn't be happier. I do have to say, if you decide to try the DSMO on the base of your spine, use a light (and I stress, light) coat. I've experimented and went heavier one night and got so sick. I wanted to throw up so bad. It passed, but it was an awful feeling. So, keep it light. I've read that some ppl have actually been cured using this method for a month or two. Not saying I am or will be, but if the symptoms stay away--that's all I'm asking for.

For Herpes (and also cold sores) - best method is Garlic Oil. If you get a break out just take a little and slowly use it to apply the oil under the skin at the breakout area! It will not come out and if yes keep doing and it will heal very fast!! And the break out will be more more rare. Mine is gone!!!! I also used coconut oil but couldnt say that it really helped.

Olive Leaf Extract

I honestly had no clue that I had herpes. I didn't have any major outbreaks, maybe tingling but nothing serious enough to think I had herpes. I was absolutely shocked when I found out I had it.

I was reading online that Olive Leaf Extract was good for fighting herpes so I started taking it. After I started taking it I actually starting having more issues with my herpes. I read online that people usually get more but less severe outbreaks when they take Olive Leaf Extract b/c the herpes is fighting the medicine. It was annoying but I knew it must be effective. It was mainly a bump here or there before my period started, and not every month. It wasn't severe, just annoying b/c I didn't have any issues prior to taking Olive Leaf.

I started to combine Oil of Oregano with the Olive Leaf Extract and the combo worked really well together. I take the pill form in both. I stopped taking both about two months ago and I haven't had any issues with my herpes and I feel good. I'm going to take an ionic foot detox to see how that works also.

Coconut Oil

I have had genital herpes for 18 years. I have never used anything that worked faster and more effectively than coconut oil.

After a very stressful week I noticed a horrible breakout coming on. The spot on my backside was flaming red, about the size of a quarter and I knew it was going to be bad! The bump was large and it itched & hurt. I tried applying coconut oil the last time I had a breakout after reading about this on EC and it cut down the healing time dramatically, but I didn't start applying it last time until 2-3 days into the breakout. This time I applied the VCO by dipping one finger only once in the jar & then to the sore as soon as I noticed; once in the morning & once in the evening. Wow! I never itched or hurt after I started applying VCO to the area.

What normally takes 10-14 days to heal; took 4 days this time and it is completely gone! No scabs ever came about! The VCO threw the outbreak in total remission! I also took about 3000 mg a day of Lysine to help speed up the process. Simply amazing! Thank you EC :)

Taking Responsibility

I have had genital herpes for about 20 years and tried many thing with little relief, that is until I asked myself what having herpes was doing for me. I asked myself what brought about the choices to contract this virus and what was it teaching me. The secondary gains were surprising and as I took responsibility for my emotional, mental, physical and sexual wellbeing, the symptoms reduced to one or two per year. Now when I have a short attack of 3 or 4 days I take stock and review my thoughts and feelings and let my body do the rest.

I hope this helps alongside all the other wonderful solutions on this site.

I've been alkalizing with ACV and baking soda for at least 5 months and in that time have had outbreaks of herpes almost reduced to zero (I think just one outbreak in the whole time). Before that I was having outbreaks on the least exertion every few weeks. Twice a day I take 2 dessertspoons of ACV in water with baking soda to neutralize as per Ted's instructions.

Colloidal Silver, DMSO, Hydrogen Peroxide

I have tried all sorts of things that were recommended on this site, but nothing helped.

When I was taking Vitamin supplements and L-lysin the ob's definitely came les frequently, but unfortuntaley they didn´t vanish and I also didn´t want to take so many tbls all the time because it was expensive and anoying.

After giving colloidal silver a go I kept researching and came across a cream containing silver.

I work at a hospital and silver coated dressings are regularly used on infected wounds and they work a treat. Because the colloidal silver particles in the one that I was taking weren't small enough, it didn't have any effect on me, but I know silver definitely is virucidal.

When I had an ob in the morning I immeditaley put on the cream and the same night the sore had completely vanished!!!! It was amazing.

I didn't want anything complicated that I had to put on several times a day over a few days, because I simply don't have time for that. So, this was a fantastic fix.

This didn't rid me of my gh problem though and the ob's kept coming, so I decided to try DMSO and 3% hydrogen peroxide applied to my lower spine right down to the of the spine between the butt cheeks. I wrapped it with cling wrap and left it for an hour.

This was several weeks ago and I have to say I have not used the silver cream since, because I have not had a single ob since then.

I will give some more time and will then get a blood test to see if the virus is still tracable in my blood. If you want to try the cream, it is silvadene or silver sulfadiazine creme 1% (used for topical burns).

Oregano Oil

I was diagnosed with HSV 2 approximately 5 years ago and never had an outbreak until 2 days ago. I applied Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) on the blisters the very first day and even slept with a cotton ball drenched in ACV on the blisters. This made the blisters get larger. So I began applying oil of oregano without diluting it and baking soda. And I was amazed by the results. My blisters dried out in a few hours. I keep taking the oil of oregano orally 3 times a day and I also rub it on the base of my spinal cord. I also take L-Lysine 1000mg 3-4 times a day and ChlorOxygen twice a day.

I'm on day 3 since the outbreak and my blisters are almost gone. I have discharge and discomfort but that's about it. I simply cannot believe my eyes, as I heard it takes at least 14 days to get rid of the outbreak.

Oil of oregano is quite potent people!

Antiviral Cleanse

Its been quite awhile; I should've checked back over this past 2 years I didn't even think my comment posted ...

Update: The igG tests will probably continue to show positive as they are very sensitive to the specific antibodies related to HSVs. Initially, both were negative; only a culture was positive. When I wrote in 2012, I was first diagnosed. I've not had any outbreaks, no yeast infections, and no bacterial infections. I am a woman so I cannot tell if anything is on the inside (should it hurt or burn? I don't know, I've not had this happen to me) So far, I don't see anything out of the ordinary. I have had some sporadic discomfort like tingling in genitals every once in awhile but it lasts maybe for a day or two. (I believe this is what is called asymptomatic shedding of the virus)..(??)

I would like to say I'm healed but I don't think it works that way. In the meantime, I'm happy to report that what is working for me is clean eating, periodic cleanses, supplements (I wrote them above), and Oil of Oregano >87?rvacol (sp) which I applied on the base of my spine (bottom) and the lymph gland area in the groin for about 8 mths.

Apple Cider Vinegar, Coconut Oil

I have had undiagnosed Genital Herpes for almost 4 years now. It should be diagnosed, but the "Doctor" said I wasn't affected. I didn't have insurance was the real problem. I never really cared for perscription/non-perscription drugs anyways. I usually always sought out a more natural way if possible. For the most part I was able to keep the sores under control, however, recently the sores got worse and I was in need of a cure! Not a temporary fix! For the most part I have a great understanding of how I could cure all of my aliments, and be illness free, BUT it was all out of reach for me at the time financially.

So, I started doing more and more research until I finally fell upon this website. I am aware of other websites similiar to this one, such as NaturalCures.com but you had to pay for its services. I was hoping I could find something inexpensive and just as powerful and I did! I started using Apple Cider Vineger (____) and Organic Virgin Coconut Oil. What I did was heat up 2 cups of purified water on the stove-top and removed it before it could boil. Then I added 2 Tbsp of ACV. I then took some cotton balls and dabbed this mixture on affected areas. I let it air dry and then applied Coco Oil to the same areas. I allowed the Coco Oil to be absorbed into my skin before coming in contact with clothing. After just 3 days of this my sores had practically disappeared! I hope this helps you as well! Please keep in good faith, you are not alone! Together, we can heal! ;)

Ted's Remedies
Posted by Elaina (Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada) on 07/26/2012

Hi Ted, I've been an big fan of you for a few years now. Never have replied to anything but am always reading your posts!

I believe I have some form of the herpes virus in my bladder. It began 2 years ago with what felt like a UTI that never showed bacteria. I went to a naturopathic doctor who treated me for 'a virus in your bladder'.. Never telling me what kind because he didn't know. A few months down the road I began taking high doses of l-lysine and Vit. C for cold sores and noticed, miraculously, my bladder symptoms became less. I have had insomnia and wake up every night at 4am unable to go back to sleep since this started but when I take lysine I am able to get an okay night sleep. I also try to stick to a 'herpes diet' and have noticed improvement from the exclusion of nuts.

I'm sorry this is so long. What I am wondering is, would the same remedy work for having this virus in my bladder (possibly kidneys I don't know)? I believe with all my heart that many people diagnosed with interstitial cystitis, as I was numerous times, have some un-detected virus in the bladder or urinary tract. I have read the Epstein Barr virus loves the lining of the bladder. Go figure.
