Apple cider vinegar does not work, hydrogen peroxide does not work, and gargling with saltwater does not work for my strep at all. And antibiotics take approximately eight hours for me to notice the effects. But gargling with Cayenne pepper in lukewarm water provides instant relief. And cures the strep. I have tried and tested this and told many people. It is truly a miracle and actually quite silly that anyone would try anything other than This!! IT WORKS. It CURES strep throat.
Gargle with it, your lips will feel warm/ hot but it won't even burn your throat. Avoiding all dairy also helps prevent strep BUT once you have it the cayenne kicks it's butt. If your children have strep you can put the cayenne / water solution into a spray bottle and spray their throats. This method took my five year old son from screaming hysterically to sleeping soundly. I had to come up with a way to get the cayenne onto his throat cuz no way would he gargle with it. Well of course it worked like a charm and saved us a trip to the emergency room at midnight, God bless you all!!!

I gave my daughter 4 oz. of water with 1/4 t. cayenne pepper and 1/4 t. clove powder (for its numbing ability) in a mug. She gargled this 4x a day the first day or two and then once or twice a day for a day or two. (We cut back only because she was so much better. I would continue 4x a day for much longer if needed.) The 4 oz. mug lasted for a couple of garglings. She hated it by the way, but knew it beat going to a doctor and getting an antibiotic.
- 4x a day I gave her 1 clove of crushed garlic in honey. I did that for several days then just one dose a day for a day or two.
- She asked to take 1 t. of apple cider vinegar several times a day because she knows it helps a lot. (Hot vinegar tea - 1 T. Vinegar, 1 T. honey and hot water has helped my children with sickness so much and she knows it, but she doesn't like it.)
- I gave her herbal tea to drink. No soda pop or anything. Sugar is not good for getting better. A couple of times she drank echinachea and peppermint tea with honey in it.
- For her fever, I would rub peppermint essential oil and/or lemongrass essential oil on the bottoms of her feet. I also put a cool cloth on her head!
- A wise friend recommended washing toothbrushes as strep can harbor there and reinfect!
Praise the Lord, she showed improvement in 24 hours with this treatment and was about normal after 3 days. I am sure it helped that we caught it early as we had a heads up to expect it.
So grateful for this site and all the good advice. The cure for strep throat cost us less that $2! That is amazing!
Have a great day!

I cured my son's' strep with the following remedy:
1/8 teaspoon of organic cayenne
distilled water
fresh lemon juice
organic maple syrup
I'ts the same recipe alot of users have posted. We were fortunate to have all of these ingredients on hand because we use them regularly, but I wasn't aware of their usefulness for strep or sore throats in general. My son had a 102.4 fever that came on suddenly one night. We gave him fever medicine and he went to sleep. He woke up in tears because he could not swallow and it was painful for him to even speak. I started him on the cayenne concoction that morning. I had him drink it and gargle it. Within minutes he was asking for scrambled eggs and toast! it was truly miraculous! I've had strep myself twice and i know how extremely painful and miserable it is. Unfortunately, I didn't know of this cure, or I would've taken it instead of the antibiotics! I was also exposed to the strep that my son caught, both from him and from the person he most likely caught it from (my friends daughter) and I'm convinced it didn't get a chance to take hold in me because i was drinking the cayenne mixture along with my son. His fever was gone by the second day, the sore throat was completely gone by the third day. And now, his immune system knows how to fight this bacteria and he is less likely to be afflicted by strep again. Not the case with antibiotics.
