Gargling salt water may be the oldest remedy in the book but it still works as a natural home treatment for strep throat.

Mix 1/4 teaspoon salt into 1/4 cup of warm water. Gargle for 30 seconds. Repeat this every two waking hours.

Salt and Water (Remedy): I have a sore throat remedy that i have used for many years now. It gradually reduces strep throat illnesses almost 100 percent of the time. I take one glass of water and i put an amount of salt in it (The amount of salt should be enough to taste like saltwater from a beach). I then gargle it for a couple of minutes, and I repeat the process often. You should see major results after the first time you do it, and complete recovery after a couple of days.
