Baking Soda in water helped cure my gassey, bloated stomach. I mix a tablespoon or two with water. It doesn't taste the greatest, but it's tolerable. It's worth it!

Hello, Epsom salts is magnesium sulfate, not table salt and baking soda. I always come out an epsom salts bath feeling better & more relaxed. I don't know what table salt and baking soda does!

I also have been reading Dr. Clark's books. In fact I am in the process of starting the parasite program, kidney and liver cleanses. I was browsing about baking soda because a natural healer told me to bathe in Epsom salt and baking soda for a joint problem (3 cups of salt and 1/2 of baking soda) for 20-30 minutes, once per week. I haven't tried it yet, but I was glad to find some information on your site. Thanks for all the info.

PS: Does anyone else have any input on Dr. Clark's research? Or has anyone actually tried the kidney and liver cleanses? I have high cholesterol and hope this will reduce it.

Burns

I saw that many had mentioned that baking soda when mixed into a paste (using water) relieves and sometimes eliminates burns. This is true, however, in my own experimentation, I no longer retain burns if I have baking soda on hand.

Apply the paste thickly over the burned area. The thicker the better. I leave it on until it dries, then rinse it off with water and reapply. Continue doing this until you have no pain. This completely takes the pain and redness out of 1st and 2nd degree burns. You won't even know you were burned! The first time you apply it, it will relieve the pain, but it may return. I've never had to apply it more than 4 times but trust me, taking the time to do this remedy will save you blistering, pain, and irritation later on!

There is one other remedy for burns. I once burned my hand on a very hot light bulb. My skin turned white on one site of the burn, indicating a 3rd degree condition. I didn't have any feeling in the area, the skin was completely dead. The other parts were red and sore, indicating a 2nd degree burn. A day past and I had no relief. The burn started looking worse. I tried honey, it only made me sticky but the heat was still there.

I knew that tea was an astingent, so I took a normal lipton black tea bag and dunked it in hot water twice, then I allowed the bag to cool. I placed the wet bag over the burn and wrapped my hand to keep it in place. I fell asleep for 2 hours and when I woke up the burn no longer hurt and was beginning to heal! I changed bags and rewrapped it for a few hours. My skin turned temporarily a little orange/brown but the burn gave me no problems afterward, healed perfectly and didn't scar at all.

I read about using Baking Soda as a deodorant and have been using it for the last 3 months. I had tried everything - crystals and a product with lemon juice and its essence - all very good but it did not always protect the entire day. I am very happy to say that Baking Soda has been the best I have ever used - 100% effective - lasting the whole day and longer. When I shave my underarm I use Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) for at least 2 to 3 days in order to allow healing before resuming with Baking Soda. (Please do this to avoid burns). VCO is also very good but has not consistently protected all day long. I have been spreading the word to health conscious friends.

Like others, I think this site is a god-send. Thank you. I have started using Baking soda as a facial and all over body scrub; then I apply ACV and finally VCO to my face. I have been quite consistent for the last 3 months including Ted's advise regarding large facial pores. I cannot believe that my skin looks so beautiful and smooth at the age of 41. I always had beautiful skin now I look even younger - it simply is amazing!!

I have now starting being more consistent with drinking ACV 3 times a day because I need to loose at least 16 llbs. Since the birth of my third child 11 months ago - it has been a very slow process. I am hoping that in a few months I can be write a post like many others - saying that I am loosing weight. I also plan to ingest VCO and also start using it for all cooking as well. I began eating 1 tablespoon of Black Strap Molasses every morning. I try to eat a very healthy diet. So I guess soon I will not only look good but feel great as well.

Thanks again for this wonderful site!!

I suggest that your readers go here: www.curenaturalicancro.com. Here you will find that doctors have been finding and ignoring that surrounding every cancer is fungus. Baking soda kills the fungus in the body. If some are getting a yeast infection which is a fungus. I find that interesting. This site uses straight Baking Soda with no ACV and does so both by mouth, intravenously and injected into cancer sites. It may be that acid reflux is also a symptom of candida. Those who find relief from bread....may and I am not sure....may be getting relief due to the fact that the bread feeds the yeast and gets it to shut up.

I have a cat who has incurable cancer. We are going to inject it into the site. I will print here how it goes.I myself have just started doing the ACV and honey with Baking Soda I may try also adding the Coconut oil. I would be interested in hearing from others, but don't want my email address hooked to a spider. Cheers.

Skin Cancer

Skin cancer and baking soda: Some time in the middle of January I was checking the net info on cancer always involving fungus - the info from the Italian Dr. Simoncini. My husband has been out of regular work for about 2 years and we do not have health insurance but he has needed a spot on his side taken care of. Upon watching the online video showing that cancer always comes with fungus and that baking soda could alkalize and destroy the colonies we decided to give it a try. We started by mixing baking soda with water and spreading it on a large band-aide. That did not work so well because the baking soda turns hard as a rock. My husband decided to mix it with glycerin to see if that would keep the soda softer longer and it did. The paste is made by putting some baking soda in a small dish and adding the glycerin until you have a white paste thin enough to spread on a band-aide. It still gets hard but not near as fast.

The spot on his side was a bit less than a quarter and about the thicknesses of 3 quarters. It definitely needed attention. It first reduced in height and then started shrinking circumference. It did go through various stages that looked really bad. At times I wondered what was going on. (Note: It is not a process without pain.) It was working and so my husband wanted to keep on going with it. We kept making sure the bandage was changed. He was also taking baking soda internally for a while but then stopped that. By the end of March it is basically gone. The area has a bit more healing to do but that just takes time.

The plus's of this are so wonderful. 1. No surgery!!!! 2. No dealing with the side affects of surgery - like as muscle that doesn't work as good because it was cut. 3. It only cost the price of baking soda, glycerin and band-aides. 4. Peace of mind.

We do realize that the fungus can still be in the body. He is trying extra strong oil of oregano to kill any remaining fungus infection. But that is another story.

I love baking and, unfortunately, burns go with the territory. I have found making a paste of baking soda mixed with a little water is effective if applied immediately. The baking soda seems to draw out the heat and reduce (or eliminate, depending on the degree) the redness. This works great for me, because when you are baking you always have baking soda right at your finger tips!

Acid Reflux

I use baking soda in all my drinking water for better health in general. Use only enough too nuturalize the acid found in nearly all municipal water supplies and [unbeliveably] in bottlrd water too.I got relief from acid reflux, not nearly as much cold or sinus problem, and better joint condition.I did the PH test several times and found a pinch of baking soda about the size of the small finger nailin every glass or bottle of store bought water does the job. Most people have an acidic Body PH and the object is to keep the body PH above 7. 7.2 would be great. There are many other health benifits to this. 6 to 8 glasses per day recomended, the water taste better too. If you mix the soda with water and can taste the soda you are using too much. Be Healthy Be Happy!! Marty

After looking at the details, it appears they go to the extreme to claim the using of just baking soda alone would work. Citrates are actually more effective, e.g. baking soda and lemon (e.g. citrates in form of sodium & potassium). Metabolism needed to be raised to fight against sickness, e.g. acv baking soda (it's the acetate and malates)

The problem is the issue is about balance where the body's sodium: potassium ratio is held in balance.

Also the most effective form of alkalizing is actually the citrates, which is actually found as a reaction from the baking soda and citric acid (sodium bicarbonate citric acid = sodium citrate), that effectively raises the pH with any degree enough to kill of fungus or infection. This is why the lemon bicarbonate formula is recommended for cancer (prostrate, leukemia, etc. that I got a good feedback).

An ideal alkalization is whatever you are taking should be in a proper portion to the body's fluids, much like Ringer's solution or Mammalian solution. It is not just the use of baking soda, more importantly it is also citrate, malates, acetates, that the website completely misses on.

Bacterial and Viral Infections

Editor's Choice

For me and my family and friends, baking soda has cured all kinds of microbial infections, probably due to the regulation of pH balance.

For at least 12 years now I've relied on drinking baking soda in water whenever I would come down with some sort of viral or bacterial infection, whether it is a cold, flu, stomach bug, or respiratory illness. I am convinced this method can kill any kind of infection.

When the West Nile virus was prevalent here in Colorado a few years ago, I became infected with it. I was skeptical that my baking soda cure would work, but gave it a try anyway since I was so utterly miserable. But, sure enough, later that evening the symptoms started to subside and I was nearly recovered by the next day.

Every time I have used the baking soda method it has worked. And everyone I have suggested it to and tried it has had it work for them, too.

The remedy is 1/2 teaspoon in a cup of water 2 to 3 times each day, sipping throughout the day. Take it for approximately 2 to 3 days. If symptoms do not resolve by the end of the third day then perhaps it will not be helped by baking soda; I have not found this to ever be the case though. It works no matter what stage a person is in their infection. For stomach bugs I will also add 10-15 drops of grapefruit seed extract.

Being female, however, I have noticed that I will get a vaginal yeast infection shortly after a course of baking soda. Because I believe it affects the pH, I treat myself with an apple cider vinegar/garlic rinse (1/4 cup of ACV and one clove of garlic, quartered, in 1 cup of water). I've wondered if the baking soda also kills the good bacteria in the body so afterward I supplement myself with probiotics (specifically Lactobacillus GG, the only known beneficial bacteria to survive stomach acid).

I know people who take Airborne to fight off colds. I looked at the label one day when my friend showed me the bottle, and sodium bicarbonate is one of the main ingredients. Perhaps this is the reason it works.

I believe that if there is ever a severe viral outbreak, such as SARS or H5N1, then this remedy would be worth a try. It seems I've always relied on home remedies to successfully treat myself and your site just adds to my collection of simple therapies!

I have restless legs at night sometimes. Since reading about the many cures here I have tried 1/4 tsp of baking soda in a cup of water: within 20 minutes my legs are calm and I am able to sleep. I haven't found anything else that helps; won't try pharmaceutical drugs to help, don't want any side effects. The baking soda really helps me!
