Hi, I found this site and am amazed by what I am reading. My mother always told a story of how in the thirties, my uncle was a little boy and desperately ill. The doctors could not figure out what was wrong or how to help him and finally told my grandparents to prepare for the worst. Apparently all he kept asking for was vinegar (my mom never specified if it was ACV) and when things looked really bleak, they decided to let him have it since he never stopped asking for it and since there was no real reason to deny him, however bizarre it seemed to give it to him. He apparently struggled to drink it, but got through a whole bottle in a few hours despite his weakness. The fever suddenly broke and he fully recovered, and to this day no one in my family really understood how. Now I'm getting a clue as to why! So, I thought I would try the honey/water/AVC drink three times a day- today is day 5 and while I didn't see any real weight loss until today, today my jeans are suddenly loose! Also been using it as a toner and guess what! No trip to the dermo like I planned because my pores are getting smaller on their own! Depression doing a lot better too - though the jury is still out on that since today I was a bit down after a few up days - will check back in and let everyone know- but WOW! I'm amazed! My little uncle was really on to something, clearly!

James, you are so right! Here's my experience: I am one year older than my sister and usually people believed we were twins. However, the past few years, people we meet have definitely pinpointed that I'm the older sister. Well, I started ACV in a glass of water about 3 years ago (1Tabsp mornings & before bed - 2 tabspoons give me a tummy ache). Wow! Like you, I have had so many positive changes that now people think I'm the younger sister. The most astounding thing I have noticed is a firming of my facial skin, particularily around my eyes. My body skin looks younger too & my cherokee cheek bones are coming back. PLUS, my joints don't hurt upon waking, sitting, or walking. AND, my hair is growing at an astonishing rate and my nails are stronger. I'm not seeing the weight fall off but I believe as a heavy woman with low muscle mass, if I concentrate on a lower carb diet & muscle toning, that will be accomplished too, though, I did lose an initial 5 lbs that I have not gained back. Because of my younger looks and energy, my sister and now my husband say they are willing to give ACV a try. Apple Cider Vinegar IS truly amazing!

i'm 48 plus and people regularly tell me i look like i'm in my mid 20's maybe early 30's,i can't say myself, because i'm so use to 'inspecting me' but i'd love to share the condensed version of what i do- first, i have to admit that, my health regime is a 24/7 lifestyle, my approach starts with my mind-i am really into training the brain-rewiring how i think and i trust the bodies innate intelligence to guide me to the appropriate thing to do-so, for example- at bedtime, in the morning and at regular breaks throughout my day i am in the habit of feeding information messages like-my beauty is increasing-i am always amazed how my body responds, you have to relax and really allow and receive... it's an absorption - so, i start my day with a large glass of water or two mixed with a little apple cider vinegar followed by a large mug of green or black organic tea with milk/honey- 3 amla tablets and 3 aswaghandha shatavari tables then i settle down to my creation thoughts and meditation= as far as diet is concerned-i drink carrot juice usually mixed with whatever i fancy, maybe a little beet apple celery or cucumbers, everyday day a large glass is enough-i do alot stretching - eat organic vegetarian-several little meals a day- rarely eat after 4pm i think i'd feel to health-nerdy if i didn't eat some junk, so i eat some junk organic junk-once a week or twice a month maybe, pizza, chips, fried stuff, cookies, chocolate whatever, i drink lots of water-water with a splash a apple cider is a wonder-...for little under eye lines i disappear them with a concentrated seaweed powder mask -fenugreek paste works and black tea splashes are great-i use almond and rose then this lovely turmeric sandlewood cream under make up -oh there's more-i drink herb teas like raseberry red clover once a month make a tea out of tumeric root and cinnamom bark i usually drink this once a week- take b vitamins and multi vitamins-i know it sounds full on-but i love health

I am fifty-five with long brown hair that has not turned grey (except for a few strands which I pluck...ha). And I look pretty young. I am often told that I don't look old enough to be a grandmother. Anyway, one of my beauty secret is SPROUTS. I eat them every day in my salad. I eat clover sprouts, pea sprouts, or one that is a combination clover, lentil and fenugreek sprouts. Sprouts have exponential nutrition. Also, I eat other fruits and veggies every day--a lot of them raw. (See cures I've had in third paragraph.)

I also take a couple of fish oil pills a day, and I am just starting to take a multi-vitamin again, B vits and 1 tsp or so of powdered vitamin C formula (2,000 mg)that al little calcium, magnesium, zinc, manganese and potassium...and bioflavanoids. And I make a fruit smoothie and include a heaping tsp of powdered wheatgrass juice...and I just ran out of my bottle of Kyo-Green (barly grass, wheat greass, brown rice, Chlorella, kelp and FOS).

Recently, I have added 1 TBSP of ACV twice daily, 1TBSP BSM (black strap molasses), 1 TBSP or so of Organic Coconut oil, a pinch of cayenne pepper (in my ACV drink), raw and cooked garlic, cinnimon, and cooking with spices such as tumeric, ginger, thyme, sage, rosemary, etc. to my regime. As a result of this new regime, I have CURED long-standing headaches and allergies. And I used coconut oil to cure a red patch that had been on my foot for at least months...in two days! And to cure toenail fungus, I am using regular rubbing alcohol (70%) that you can get in any drugstore and a generic brand of Vicks Vapor rub. All of my toes have cleared up except for three stubborn toes...that I believe will eventually grow out/heal. I also brush (frequently) my teeth with baking soda and rinse with a solution of 1/2 H202 and 1/2 water. I also take baths with epsom sals and lavendar and rose aromatherapy oils. And sometimes, I finish a bath with a cold shower.

And, I am still reading all the great posts on earthclinic...to get more information and ideas. Thank you SO MUCH for this wonderful site!

Apple cider vinegar rocks! It makes you glow like nothing else I have ever experienced. I was home visiting my folks for Thanksgiving and was eating lots of bread, butter and sugary foods.. items I try not to eat to much of. Knowing that I gain a pound for every slice of bread I eat, I made sure to drink 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a small glass of water every night after eating like a piggy. Sooooo nasty tasting!! But guess what, I didn't gain a pound!

Yesterday back in town I saw a friend, a personal trainer who I had talked into taking apple cider vinegar for his high blood pressure (young guy, but hpb runs in his family) 2 weeks ago. He looked great before, but now -- WOO WOO!!! He had this amazing glow that would make your head turn. I made a comment to him about it and he said that last Tuesday he woke up one morning after taking 2 glasses of 2 teaspoons of acv in water the night before and felt ready to take on the world. Two different clients commented to him that he was glowing and what was going on with him, was it love? He said No! Apple Cider Vinegar!

Like I said, this remedy ROCKS!!!

Its simple, firstly your only as old as you want to be (mind over matter), secondly water, yes water, not any kind, it has to be Evian, something in this water is amazingly pure and detoxifies the body, drink at least 1 to 2 litres a day. Your eating habits are important, no more than 1,500 calories a day, and make sure you eat healthy, veggies, fiber, fruit and nothing with salt, STAY AWAY FROM SALT, its a killer, there is enough salt in just about everything we eat, so when you shop look for low sodium products, okay???Exercise, find out which form best agrees with you and then do it every other day without fail. Practice breathing skills and meditation. Do not take medications unless you really need to. And hey many people create there own sickness, think positive you can do it! And the most important for staying young, well we all know what that is dont we??? SEX, SEX AND MORE SEX, NEVER QUIT THE SEX OKAY??? LOL, hope my suggestions will be of some help to you all! I love, love, love this post by James Pemberton. I would note, however, to some readers who find ACV hurts their stomach: As James is probably a big muscled guy, going by his occupation, I would ask the ladies to take that into consideration before going whole hog with his 2-TAB recommendation; perhaps start with 1 tsp or 1 tablespoon. I always add a pinch of baking soda in a small cup first to get rid of the acid -- better for MY stomach and my throat before downing it. I chase it with a glass of water. My Granny always told me to drink a cold glass of water every morning with either a tablespoon of lemon juice or ACV for good health -- warm water for the winter months. Typical teenager, I ignored her! Now, I reap the benefits from this old wives/granny tale but unlike Mr. Pemberton, as a short woman, I keep my dosage to 1 tablespoon with that pinch of BSoda once in the morning and sometimes before bed. The same solution works for coughs. ACV rocks but only if you can tolerate it -- if you can't, don't beat a dead horse, move on... as my granny was fond of saying.

I m actually 44 years old this year and have a 13 years old son but everyone thinks i m nothing over 25 or 26 and whenever they meet me with my son ppl always ask if he is my brother and i always get them saying that i m too young to have a such a teenage son. My secret to the youthful appearance (and i have energy of a 25 years old too) is i am a vegetarian, i eat lots of raw vegetables and fruits, i mean really plenty of fruits and juices and salads in my diet. I use only olive oil in any cooking, and i dont use any kind of salad dressing but instead i top up my salad with almond nuts and its not only healthy but also very very yummy. I take low fat yogurt daily. I never miss my green vegetables too, i have kale and spinach just lightly cooked with garlic daily and plenty of it. My weight never goes up and i m slim. I take a lots of garlic too. I drink plenty of water. I drink 500ml of green tea daily. I think more than chemical facials and other expensive skin care, what we eat is more important to determine our appearance and well being. use almonds nuts blended with milk into paste to apply to face for a about 15 mins and i wash off with warm water to get a clean healthy skin and beautiful skin. Apply raw coconut milk on face and lips and let is on for about 15mins and wash off, u will get a beautiful beautiful glowing skin.

You can try taking it with freshly juiced apples or organic apple juice. One way I absolutely love to drink it is like a tea. I heat up the water until it is hot, not too hot, but hot enough to drink comfortably without burning myself. Then I add 2 tbsp ACV, 1 heaping tbsp of raw honey, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, and a half squeezed lemon. It tastes really good, at least I think so, and I really enjoy it.

An absolutely delicious remedy, that revs up the immune system, cancer fighting, higly protective of the cardiovascular system and is antiaging and incredibly nutricious and will impress at the dinner table:

Middle Eastern avocado dip:

take two/three garlic cloves, crush them to a pulp and allow to sit for 15 mins.
Mash up 2 large ripe avocados
add the minced garlic, two table spoons EV Olive Oil, tablespoon Tahini (optional) and two table spoons ACV and himalayan crystal salt to taste.

this can accompany a meal, or just dip into with toasted wholemeal pitta bread and raw sliced onions.

try it, IT TASTES DIVINE!!!!!!

This was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. Garlic does not kill brain cells, however, it does lower blood pressure and can make you doze off which is why pilots don't use it just before the flight.Geez

Valentine's Day says, Remember to show love. You know, do something that shows you really care. Remember to be thoughtful. Check and see if someone is okay, let someone know you are okay. Your thoughtfulness will give someone a smile.

For those of us who have family, friends, a marriage etc. we really should not be waiting on a special day to express love and appreciation. Often we get so wrapped up in ourselves and own problems we don't even call and see how others are doing, or perhaps our work calls for most of our time. As the song says we need to, "Stop, look, listen to our heart hear what it's saying".

Our thoughtfulness may give someone laughter, healing, a smile, an appetite and perhaps bring them out of gloom. It may give an elderly person incentive to live on a while longer.

My suggestion is that they just read EC and the Yahoo's on this site will help them live a long life..... for free. Here is an example.

An article by one of my favorites , Dr Robert Rowan, explains what is revealed in a book by Dr Kensey " THE BLOOD THINNER CURE". Your blood cells get old and stiff and scar your vessels. Your young cells are soft and pliable and thus do not cause you the problems of clots or pluggage.

To keep young cells, then donate blood on a regular basis such that your bone marrow is constantly creating new blood cells. Hey, and instead of paying for this treatment , they give you a "T" shirt. This is not hard. It's a sheet + 2 = 8 thing. Our ancestors knew this and they had a blood letting on a regular basis at their barbers...... thus the barber pole of red and white.

Hi Ms. Sweetie, To correct the constipation problem I add a small packet of powdered fiber. It totally disolves and has no taste. Just make sure to drink plenty of water. I loved the recommendation someone on this board gave about using a large bottle of water, adding the ACV, any flavoring (I use a very small amount of juice) and now 1 packet of fiber. According to the fiber directions you can use up to three packets a day but I find there is no need to use that much. Some of the new fiber products are flavored and a friend told me it's just enough flavor. Just sip from the bottle all day long. I also put ACV in V8 juice, once a day. LOVE IT!!! BP came way down, skin is healing and I have amazing energy. Thanks everyone for your help on this board!


Cold House

I've added your under-neck-skin-tightening exercise to my "5 Tibetan Rites" that I do every morning and I'm seeing even better and greater tightening of my now older, turkey-neck skin acquired after losing 40+ lbs. Your solution of opening the mouth wide then slowly closing it does contract the muscles in the lower jaw and neck area. I've been doing this during the 3rd Tibetan Rite for the past 3 weeks. Result? Today, as my husband sat across the table from me he remarked upon how thin, tiny, and tight my neck and face has become -- elfin he said! I'm having a hard time finding a beginning to describe what cold showers has done for me! first of all, this seems insane for me because i'm such a cold natured person. But since i've tried this i find that i'm not so cold anymore! I work out every day and play tennis twice a week, but first let me say i'm in my mid 40's, i have 4 children (two in their 20's and two are not yet school age) so keeping fit and appearance are very important to me! I've always been told i look half my age, but what i've noticed more than anything is my skin!! The improvement in tone is just amazing to me. The first few days (after showering in the cold) i just kept looking at my face in the mirror. Only after a few days of cold showers i noticed a difference in the way i felt, my energy, metabolism, skin, and my pain!!! i had a hip injury almost 8 months ago and i've been doing strengthening excersizes and therapy to help this slow healing process, but after taking the showers i've had almost NO pain!! that has been the most amazing part to me. I'm hooked. I'll never go back to warm showers (except when necessary) I only wish i had known about this years ago! But i can tell you, it's never too late!!!

Hello. This is a wonderful site. I have been reading about the many uses of apple cider vinegar and keep it handy. I know that it makes the body more alkaline as it should be, but it also abates inflammation in the body. For years I have had joint pains on and off (sickle cell trait), and last sunday had a flare up. During the night it was difficult for me to move in the bed because of my left knee. In the morning when I got up to get ready for church, I had about 3 tablespoons of ACV in a glass of water, just before I went and took a shower. By the time I left for church my knee pain was gone. This stuff is great. My dad was also complaining of back and knee pains and I told him to start drinking ACV daily- he no longers complains. I have been using ACV and 3% percent peroxide (50/50)with occasional tea tree oil for a fungus of my big toe nail- it is clearing up nicely. Thanks earth clinic.


Vitamin B Complex and Folic Acid

I just turned 60 and I still have my brown hair. I attribute this to taking B vitamins in a 50 mg. complex (50 mg. of each B vitamin in one capsule), and two or three 800 mcg. of folic acid tablets. The B vitamins are known to be a stress reliever. Remember the old saying how kids can give you gray hairs? It's true! Stress can make the gray come in! The B vitamins inositol and choline are important for the color of your hair. Did you know that some wool companies deliberately make their sheep deficient in these two B vitamins so that the wool will be much whiter?! Folic Acid also helps with hair growth and had been named after the word Folicule, meaning hair! Looking younger than your age and knowing that you didn't dye your hair to look younger makes people ask if you found the fountain of youth! Try the B vitamins and folic acid for at least 6 months and you make notice a great change!


B Vitamins, Omega-3s, Water

I agree with raw foods but please don't mistake acidic foods for contributing to acidic body- the opposite can be true. Drinking lemon juice (i drink the juice of a full lemon in water with other stuff as well at least once a day if not three times) creates the alkaline condition- it is not the pH of the foods you ingest that is operative, but the effect of the 'ash' that is left after the food is digested. raw lemon juice is one of the MOST POWERFUL alkalising agents once can take and the effect it has on the liver and blood quality is breathtaking.

Please no one be put off lemons or limes. Alongside ACV, it is also a tremendously powerful fat burner. And highly energising. Do a search on health benefits of lemons and see for your self.

For anyone that is interested, the following foods should be consumed everyday if possible, they are in my opinion the most effective and nutritious foods and the health benefits and remedies they encompass are too great for me to mention here!

1. ACV
2. Raw onion or minced garlic
3.EV Olive oil
4. Chilli Pepper the hotter the better
5. Avocado
6. Milk thistle (powerful detox and unbeatable liver support)
7. Raw fresh lemon juice
8. Cinnamon (real,from sri lanka beware Cassia- it istoxic)
9. as much raw organic vegetables greens etc etc as you can handle a day
10. green tea.

I know its a lot. but half these ingredients can be combined into a drink and just gulped down! Come on people, be brave. I make up the drinks and just down them in three goes and its done! Drink to your health, literally.

So sorry these problems are happening with your skin. I can surely relate! Took me a lot of years to digest that what works for others may not work for me. For example, the only way ACV works for me w/o causing stomach upsets is to first add a pinch of baking soda to dilute the acid. I can't tolerate it with honey as it raises my blood sugar.

I met a lady with simply beautiful skin who said she once had horrible skin full of acne scars and pits. What worked for her was cleansing it daily with 1/2 diluted, non-flavored, antiseptic mouthwash, rinsing it off after a 2-3 minutes and applying a very minute amount of petroleum jelly over her wet skin. I tried this and it works -- within 3 months, my acne scars and dark marks had disappeared, leaving my skin soft and beautiful as well.

Could be the salicylate acid content and the antiseptic removing dead skin and deep rubble. It's cheap. Mouth wash is $1.00 at the D-Store and petroleum jelly can last up to 6 months as long as you use a swab-stick and not your dirty fingers. (Word is spreading -I recently saw this method YT-trending with young adults but with different moisturizers). Just please, don't give up! Keep researching, plus meditating/praying -- speak the words; let the universe know what you require.

Just remember, discard what (over a week) does not work or hurts you -- don't beat a dead horse... or any horse for that matter....

Some people also complain that coconut oil is drying for their skin, though I don't find that to be so for mine. We're each so individual. You may want to use a different moisturizer ~ grapeseed oil, sunflower oil, jojoba oil, calendula oil, etc.

I am amazed at how facial exercises can turn back the hands of time---at least in the face. I have been doing the "Ageless If You Dare" program of facial exercises for about 2 years now and people think I am much younger than my 55 years. It makes sense, we exercise our bodies to keep them youthful looking, the face also has muscles and facial muscles are what keep the skin up. I love the above-mentioned program because it only takes five minutes a day but there are other programs that I'm sure are also just as effective. Do a google search and start researching. You won't be sorry.
