Intestinal Cleansing

i discovered sea salt while trying to do the master cleanse. i could only do the cleanse for 2 days because of bad headache. So i decided to just do the sea salt. i seen a reduction in my stomach. i like the sea salt because because it works quickly, unlike a laxative. i informed several people about it and they love it. they also quit taking the fiber colon cleansers. Because the sea salt removes good bacteria, it is a good idea to eat yogurt afterwards to replace the good bacteria.

Bladder Infections

WORKED TEMPORARILY

I got a UTI about a week ago. Slugged down 2 teaspoons of sea salt in 8oz water. Gosh, that was rough! I felt no more pain in my bladder, but had been drinking cranberry juice all morning. I was symptom free for about a week. It came back today, I drank only 1 teasp sea salt this time, and it didn't touch the pain. It cleaned out my bowels, which helped with the overall bloated feeling I also suffered. Now I'm trying Apple Cider vinegar. It's helped with the pain, although not completely. And it tastes way way better :D

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

I had this problem all my life, a stopped up runny nose at night. I took a quarter of a teaspoon of unrefined sea salt and the very first night it cleared up! Now, I have a problem with dry mouth! But I can live with this. Anyone fighting to breath at night knows the misery it brings. I am finally getting a full nights rest! If you try this, make sure that it is UNREFINED sea salt.

Conjunctivitis

I use sea salt and filtered water for pink eye/conjunctivitis all the time. I have 4 kids and for some reason they are susceptible to pink eye. (I've gotten it a few times from treating them... Very contagious)

I have little rubber 1/4 c dishes (from kitchen) and use them to mix 1/8 tsp sea salt with 1/4 c water. I make the child put eye up to cup and tip head back (kind of suctions to their eye), they open eye as much as they can, then dump out and rinse container.

Do same with other eye.

Don't cross contaminate or will spread to other eye.
Only takes about 3-4 days. I do it 3 or more times a day.

Dry with a clean, new cloth each time.

Do not rub eyes with same hand... Will spread. Might sting slightly, but usually their eyes feel better almost right away.

Salt Therapy/ Halotherapy

I wanted to bring awareness to a new, natural way to help respiratory ailments.

Salt Therapy/ Halotherapy helps clients with respiratory and skin ailments like asthma, allergies, COPD, smokers cough, sinusitis, cystic fibrosis, bronchitis, psoriasis, eczema, and much more. The salt's natural and soothing properties are also beneficial for anyone searching for immune system boosting, relaxing, cleansing, and de-stressing environment.

Salt Therapy/ Halotherapy is 100% natural, safe and drug free. It provides effective relief from respiratory ailments and skin conditions without any side effect. Salt acts like an expectorant, accelerating mucus clearance and improving lung function while killing harmful bacteria and soothing the respiratory system.

A tremendous amount of scientific research has been conducted which proves how salt therapy can help relieve symptoms of respiratory illnesses and skin condition. In fact, a recent study published in the New England Journal of Medicine found that long-term treatment in a salt room had a positive impact on lung function and reduced pulmonary exacerbations.

Salt Therapy/ Halotherapy brings you the microclimate found in salt caves and mines in a controlled "cave like" environment. The salt rooms are covered from floor to ceiling with multiple layers of sea salt. During each session Pharmaceutical Salts are crushed in the halogenerator and dispersed into the Salt Rooms. Salt releases high concentrations of negative ions, which increase the flow of oxygen to the brain; resulting in higher alertness, decreased drowsiness, gives more energy and creates an environment virtually free of bacteria.

During a 45 min session adults and children can relax, enjoy music, watch TV, play or read in the salt covered rooms while breathing in microscopic salt particles. There are numerous Salt Rooms, Halotherapy Rooms available within the United States. (Orlando , Florida; Planto, Texas; Phoenix, Arizona; Los Angeles & Campbell, California)

I heard many wonderful recoveries from people who used Salt Therapy, it might be a good option for others to try.

Dosage Tips

Hi,

I have used both Himalayan Salt and Celtic Sea Salt - they both work just as well. Celtic Sea Salt is a lot more expensive in the UK

There are other Sea Salts available in Supermarkets like Atlantic Sea Salt or Maldons or Costco kirkland Sea Salt etc - has anyone tried these cheaper sea salts for the water cure?

Ted suggested in one of his posts that he uses the local sea salt in Thailand.

thanks

Hi Good People, IMHO the best natural, whole sea salt for a person to use may vary, depending upon which trace elements each body is needing the most.

Celtic Sea Salt does things for my body which Himalayan Pink does not, although I use both kinds at home in cooking. Himalayan goes in the table salt shaker, and I use Celtic in the cooking.

1 slightly heaped teaspoon of Celtic Sea Salt in 8-10 oz of distilled water works very well for lower back pain for me, so apparently that's the one that has whatever my body is needing.

IMHO the isolated Sodium Chloride (plus aluminum or whatever) in standard table salt is causing us all trouble.

Blessings, Linda

Yes, there are a lot of minerals in sea salt but people conveniently forget that 94 minerals in a tiny pinch of salt amounts to very, very little of each mineral.

Unless you are taking a great deal more I doubt you are having enough of any of those minerals to be of any use.

I wouldn't use an aluminum water bottle... Get one of those (inexpensive) BP-free plastic bottles.

Alkalizing Sea Salt Remedies
Posted by Lori (Delta, Co) on 07/05/2010

I just tested my 1/4 tsp of sea salt in 32 oz of water and it is not alkalizing at all, it's around a 5 on my ph paper. my water from my fridge filter must be acidic. I thought adding the sea salt would alkalize it but it's an acidic formula. I then tested my whole lemon w/1/4 tsp of baking soda and it was very alkaline around 7.5 so i drank that down. I drink water w/sea salt daily and since I broke my arm 3 months ago it makes me swell. what can I add to the water mixture of sea salt and ? to make it alkaline? I also use the borax solution about every other day in my sea salt water. Can I take my lemon mixture and then have my peroxide mix of 3-4 drops in my 32 oz of water that I take to work to drink then I simply drink another 32 oz of plain water?

Didn't Raynbogrl from Bend say that his grandmother's goiter disappeared after switching to iodized sea salt?

For the sea salt cure, I would suggest taking a non-refined sea salt. I like gray Celtic sea salt, and pink Himalayan salts. They have other minerals and are not just sodium chloride. Watch out for refined salts as they do raise sodium levels, but natural raw salts help balance sodium in the body.

Arthritis

I just completed the 10-day Master Cleanse after suffering from arthritis and chronic constipation for the past several months. By day 3 of the cleanse the 2 teaspoons of Sea Salt in 32 oz of Fluoride free water every morning (on an empty stomach) really made a difference. My constipation cleared up, and the arthritis in my lower back, hip, and knees really improved. After reading the posts from all of you I am going to try drinking a 16.4 oz of spring water with 1 teaspoon Sea Salt, and two Tablespoons ACV in it, and see how that works. Ron

In the morning, I mix 1Tbl ACV with a pint of water, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. I put it in a bottle and drink it throughout the day. I repeat the prosedure in the afternooon, so I drink 2 pints a day. It cures everything (my acne, sore throat, stomach ache, dry skin, sore joints...etc) I've been doing this for 3 months, and have dropped 7.5 kilograms! I <3 water! Be sure to mix it with salt and vinegar, so you don't lose vital nutrients, and sodium!

Have you tried Diatomaceous Earth for fleas? It's natural and can be dusted on your dog & also a teaspoon added to food. It gets rid of fleas, ticks and mites. It can be purchased at most feed store and at Tractor Supply.

High Blood Pressure
Posted by Suzanne (Port Orchard, Washington) on 09/01/2010

In the book: "You're Not Sick, You're Thirsty" the ratio of himalayan salt to water is 1 quart of water to 1/4 teaspoon of salt - drink slowly throughout the day.

Just want to give you a heads up to say that if you have a dry mouth after increasing your salt intake, it's indicative of a sugar crash. Low sugars cause dry mouth, and increasing salt increases hydration, which leads to low sugars.

Colon Cleansing Remedies

Don't use Himalayan salt (the pink stuff) for a saltwater flush. It has too high a calcium content, which can cause calcium stones if you retain the salt instead of passing it.

Stick with un-iodized sea salt.

2/20: my mother takes first dose of sole and artesian water

2/22: reports 'slept like a hog'

2/24: awakes to sugar level of 109 (regularly 130 because she eats late at night); also reports heavy phlegm discharge each morning...

EC: Sole is himalyan salt dissolved in water that has sat for 12-24 hours and then a small amount of the concentrate is added to a glass of water.

I occasionally take sea salt as a "broth-like" drink. I mix 1/2 tsp light grey celtic sea salt (use unrefined salt) with spring water. Heat water (don't boil) on stove and add salt and about 1/2 cup of spring water then drink - you can use coffee cup size cup. Nice before bedtime.
