I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in January of this year, 2021. I set to work searching for answers/healing through videos of Doctors on the subject, nutrition, EC, just everything I could get my hands on for alternatives to drugs they wanted me to take. I started by emptying my cupboard of carbs/sugars but had a good understanding of the fruits and vegies that were low-carb. I won't go into what I eat exactly because I think the macronutrients are most important, and the amounts of, Proteins, Fats, Carb percentages of my daily diet.

70% Fats (good fats) or 113 grams

20% Protein or 73 grams

10% Carbs or 36 grams (I usually just keep this below 50 grams)

I am way not perfect, but I try to be in the ball-park and one thing I do is weigh my foods, I know my BMI, and my Total Daily Energy Expenditure. Mine is about 1450. Another story if anyone wants to know.

So my numbers were pretty high on the diagnosis in January, 7.4 mmol/l or 134 mg/dl. Maybe to some of you that is low but it is considered Diabetic so I hit the ground running. I was scared. My numbers gradually decreased, and my last HbA1c was very good at 6.2 mmol/l (safe range is 4.2 to 5.7). Today I'm getting numbers no higher than 6.0, and recently numbers like 5.4 and 5.2.

As a side benefit, I've lost 16 lbs. I don't miss the sugar at all, have learned to bake with Almond Flour, and I like Stevia as a sweetner in my coffee. Real Stevia by Purisure. Dr. Berg's videos have helped me the most, and also, Dr. Benjamin Bikman on Insulin Resistance which I'm convinced I had long before the T2 came along.

I so hope someone else is helped by this, Denise

PS I really don't exercise enough, but as my energy increases due to diet changes I've already made, and my body rejuvenates itself through those changes, I expect to be doing more. I am 68 and headed for a camping trip (tent-camping) with a friend to one of our Oregon lakes for a week of kayaking and just enjoying the outdoors with some friends, and my little dog Mimmie ;)

PSS forgot to mention my supplements: Magnesium, B Vitamins, C, D3, E, ALA, Taurine, Zinc

Hi,

Does one just put the chlorophyll rich food in blender w water, or shld I use my juicer?

I just got the a1c test and it was 5.8. The test has a range of 4 to 6. I have to speak w the med person, but looks prediabetic to me.

Dad had diabetis, I eat 0 sugar, but had been drinking fruit juice, and eating fair amount of grains and whole grain non Gluten pasta.

Am cutting back on grain and no more fruit juice, also Will be doing exercise.

Recently put some weight on need to lose about 8 lbs, it all goes to my belly.

Prior, I had trouble maintaining weight, was often under weight, changed recently.

I am peeing a ton and also very thirsty. Lots of gas bloating reflux in a etc

I take Apple Cider Vinegar w honey 2nd meals, and juicing for stomache problems. No relief.

Also absolutely exhausted, very poor sleep, hungry even after eating and very bad neck pain, I believe I hv bone spurs. So far Apple Cider Vinegar cat or oil packs massage chiro Epsom salt baths hv not helped.

6 and half months ago got off traxodine. Had been on psyche meds for 27 and a half years. Drug free for 6 and half months. Yeah!!!

Any suggestions and help appreciated.

Peace

Shifra

No, the bacteria is dead by the time it gets out of the machine that made it & is limited in strains.

Go with homemade kefir. All you need are some grains and 100% whole milk.

This company is the best in my view https://positivelyprobiotic.com/ everything you require is on the site including instructions.

Each person is different, so you need to try different things until you find something that works for you. From experience & advice from an MD & naturopath, I started with Berberine & Bitter Melon x3 times daily, it worked for me, but I got a better effect by adding cinnamon in green-black tea daily, a strong black seed oil but only as needed = a few times a week. I also changed my diet to eliminate carbs & all sugar except when my nose begins to dry out & does not produce any mucous than I take a little lactose = milk sugar, don't overdo it a little goes a long way otherwise you will need to blow your nose all day long for a few weeks or more, it may take a few days for it to take effect as well. The main thing is to change your diet, eliminate all carbs and sugar. Lookup the DIP diet, just do a search for it. Go to YouTube and look for videos by biswaroop or go to his website, it is on the home page. https://biswaroop.com/dipdiet/ he is the best, you will see this when you watch a few of his videos, you can clearly see he knows what he is talking about.

True, sourdough that doesn't affect you as much as store bought sour dough is made with whole wheat, I use Einkorn whole wheat flour. Make my own starter and it ferments for at least a week. Tastes great and as a diabetic I want bread but do not want the spike that goes with factory made breads that use white flour. My two cents worth

Hi P.Raghavan

Can I drink Liquid Chlorophyll which is available in health food stores.

I do eat Cilantro Parseley and Spinach very often.

Should I still make a juice of it and drink?

Hi, thank you for your information. I'm unable to find out how much I should be taking for diabetes. If you could let me know, I would be so appreciative.

Hi - as you like it so much, and know what type your system can tolerate, why don't you make your own? It takes about a week to make the 'starter' but after that you've got it - if you cant bake at all you can use a breadmaker, although it is quite easy to make it when you have a bit of practice.

Metformin and Berberine

Metformin and Berberine for Type II:

Metformin and berberine are great regulators. They won't cure but will keep u happy. Metformin is officially a prescription drug BUT according to Life Extension.com (which is by far the leading science-based magazine and supplement maker in the world) have hundreds of pages and reference hundreds of studies demonstrating the health producing and life extending properties of metformin even though this Rx competes with their products!!

I'm currently on Metformin, have been for years, dr is wanting me to start another rx - Januvia. I have declined... I started taking Berberine, its a 1 day capsule (250mg) but I haven't seen a difference yet in 4 days.... does it need to build up, what is the best dose?

My evening sugars are the biggest problem, usually over 250- 280 no matter what I seem to eat(and I have made changes!! )...mornings are under 150. very discouraged.... I am suffering alot of pain in several areas, neck/shoulder, arthritis in my thumb joint, and Achilles tendonitis wondering if this is what affects it

any help appreciated

I am currently on DesBios candida cleanse and for the first time in my life my fasting blood sugar is high--I drink a cup of coffee and maybe a little something to eat and it goes down--I just read the comments on the infection and it dawned on me that maybe my body is throwing out and getting rid of candida and that is screwing up the blood sugar--does this sound like something possible? Blood sugar previously has always been great-
