Greetings EC,

My Aunt is 85 weights about 102 pounds, and she is a smoker. She is a strong woman and as I have said before, she can tie her own shoes. The only medicine she is on is blood pressure medicine. When my aunt had a complaint of being dizzy, I took her pressure it was 154 over 93. Her heart rate was 144!

I had her to do the breathing exercises and gave her a magnesium supplement, which helped to lower her pressure and got her heart rate down to 100. However when she arose the next day we had to fight the same battle with heart rates of 138,119,133. Her heart rate would go down with the breathing exercises and slowing creep back up.

She woke up the third morning with a fast heart rate of 144 once again, however her blood pressure was 130/89. But I said this means war! I remembered that in 2020 we used to give her cayenne pepper capsules, this kept her normally high blood pressure on the low side. When she ran out we did not continue it. Someone needed to be there to monitor it. So remembering cayenne pepper, I got the hot sauce bottle out of the cabinet. I put about two tablespoons in a half cup of water with a spoon of molasses. She said this is bitter. So I added a half teaspoon of sugar and she drank the mixture down. Ten minutes later, I took her pressure again, it was 146/84 with a heart of 79. Seventy-nine what a big drop from 144.

Before the day was over her blood pressure went down to 120/66. We took her to the doctor the same day, they gave her an EKG. The doctor said her heart rate was good, but that he would order more test. A week later without giving her anymore cayenne pepper her heart rate was still in the safe zone below 100, her blood pressure has remained good so far as well. So a now and then dose of Cayenne Pepper will be what we use for Auntie.

Hey Everyone,

I have a story of extreme High Blood Pressure (over 200) and how I corrected it within 15 days, returning it to a good healthy range of 117/73. If you find yourself in a situation where you suddenly have high blood pressure where you had never before I suggest you look for outside influences that might have caused the situation. Let me tell you my story and let you draw your own conclusions.

I am a 53 year old healthy male. I do not take any medications and am proactive with my health. I believe that nutrition (from whole food sources not vitamins from bottles which a very high number on the market are of a synthetic nature and just don't work) is the key to good health. When a problem occurs with my health the first thing I do is sign onto Earthclinic and look for solutions based on a whole foods approach. By whole foods I mean as close to grown from the earth as possible. This means herbs, roots, food based vitamins/minerals, spices, vegetables, wheatgrass, (and so many more) and products made from these).

So last year I had some dental problems which necessitated numerous rounds of antibiotics - 3 rounds of amoxicillin and one round of penicillin over the course of a year. I had a recurring infection in a front tooth. I did not want a root canal instead I opted for an implant and was using the year to save up for the procedure. I foolishly thought that antibiotics could handle any flare ups until I could get the procedure done.

When I went into the specialist to get the implant he checked my blood pressure as he would have to put me under to do the implant. At that moment he bluntly told me that he would not do the implant and that I needed to see my doctor immediately. If I did not, I could suffer a heart attack or stroke at any moment. He went on to say my blood pressure was over 200, well in the danger zone. He refused to do the implant until I was on medication and my blood pressure was in the normal range.

I left the dentist office in shock. I had never had high blood pressure. As soon as I got home I got on Earthclinic looking for help. I found a post on how one cup of Kefir (fermented yogurt drink) every day could help lower your high blood pressure and that a compromised gut biome from taking too many antibiotics could cause a wide range of health issues one being high blood pressure.

By gut biome I mean the healthy microbes and bacteria in your gut that helps you break down food and assimilate it for the body's health. At this point I was willing to try anything. I did not want to go on any medication. I decided I would do a test to see if kefir and fermented food in general would work in lowering my blood pressure. I purchased an inexpensive blood pressure monitoring cuff from Amazon for around $25 and headed to Walmart to purchase some kefir (in the refrigerated yogurt section) and a health food market to get some fermented Sauerkraut and fermented pickles (because they are fermented - I.e. live foods - fermented sauerkraut and pickles must be refrigerated. You'll find them in the refrigerator section of a health store where they sell pickles).

I figured the more fermented food the better. I would drink one cup of kefir in the morning, eat 1/2 cup sauerkraut at lunch and dinner (twice a day), eat 1-2 pickles for snacks, and drink one ounce of the fermented sauerkraut and/or fermented pickle juice a day (fermented juice is loaded with probiotics). One word about sauerkraut, I am not a fan of many of the brands on the market except one - I'm not sure I can say the name on earthclinic but it is one word, begins with B, and is seven letters. I found this brand to be very tasty. They also make the fermented pickles, just as tasty).

The experiment was simple. I would consume the fermented foods in the proscribed manner mentioned above and check my blood pressure every morning before any food or coffee. I didn't notice any change in my blood pressure until around the 5th day. That day it dropped two points. and from there it rapidly dropped. After 15 days my blood pressure was 117/72 in the healthy good range.

I continued with the routine for another two weeks then weaned myself off the kefir. I still eat one 1/2 cup of sauerkraut or one pickle or drink one ounce of fermented juice a day as a good health routine. It has been a year since doing this and I feel so much better. I find I sleep better, have less stress, less depression, and a higher overall sense of well-being. I just had a full doctor's checkup with full blood work and everything came back excellent.

The doctor gave me a clean bill of health. So get out there and try fermented foods - they do work.

So I got really bad with my diet and work from home no exercise and I ate bags of chips and salty foods, so the day after I got hypertension. Thankfully, I remember about celery juice. Yes!!!

I've tried everything ACV, beets, magnesium, garlic but the best and fastest was celery juice. I got it from the store organic with lemon juice.

I took half of the bottle and went from 145/90 to 117/80 after 2 hours.. I have to stop drinking it every day because it will make me dizzy because of too low BP. 😅

Probiotics, D3

SPECIAL PROBIOTICS AND VITAMIN D3 FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE.

There are articles available in the net regarding Vitamin D3, Vitamin K2 and Probiotics for high blood pressure problem. Five such articles are given below:

1) Low Vitamin D & K levels linked to higher blood pressure: Study.

2) How Vitamin D and Vitamin K2 work together.

3) Probiotic use in the management of Hypertension.

4) Effects of Probiotics on Blood Pressure.

5) The improvement of Hypertension by Probiotics.

Vitamins K2 and D3 play an important role in calcium metabolism. Probiotic bacteria Lactococcous Lactis synthesizes Vitamin K2 in the digestive system from the food we consume.

Vitamin K2 guides calcium to its final destination: bone and teeth. If there is insufficient production of Vitamin K2 in the digestive system, calcium will deposit in the wrong areas.

Probiotic bacteria L. Helveticus reported to exert ACE-inhibitory activity by producing antihypertensive bioactive peptides which are released during protein hydrolysis.

Peptides are miniature protein molecules which can be easily absorbed by the body. ACE stands for Angiotension Converting Enzyme. Probiotic strains L. Plantarum synthesizes nitric oxide from the food we consume. Nitric oxide will try to dilate all blood vessels on the body. L. Casei have significant antihypertensive properties.

According to an article titled “Probiotic and Blood pressure: Current Insights”, our gut microbiota are master regulators of hypertension. If one goes through the above document, about eight probiotic strains are involved in blood pressure control.

They are:

1) Lactococcus Lactis
2) L. Helveticus
3) L. Plantarum
4) L. Casei
5) L. Rhamnosus
6) S. Thermophilus
7) B. Longum
8) L. Achidophilus.

Out of these eight probiotic strains, the first four probiotic strains have major control over blood pressure.

TREAMENT.

Follow the following two steps:

1) During my search in the net, I found about six brands of multi strain probiotics with the required eight probiotic strains mentioned above. One has to take one probiotic capsule / tablet per days.

2) Take one D3 supplement of about 2000 IU per day.

One can expect good results in about two months. I hope the information provided here will be useful.

Best wishes,

P. Raghavan.

My very simple way to lower blood pressure that works remarkably well for me is to drink Ginger water every day.

Be sure to monitor your BP because it might get too low.

You simply make ginger tea by putting a few slices of raw ginger in your teapot, add boiling water and let it steep. Drink whenever you feel like either hot or cold. That's it! No more beta-blockers for me.

Magnesium

I have a cardia arrhythmia which resulted in a stroke. My blood pressure was also on the high side (150/160 over 80/90). None of the doctors that I'd seen ever mentioned the importance of magnesium in blood pressure control.

All I knew of magnesium at the time is that it caused loose stools and using it could cause other mineral deficiency as a result. Yet I read that it's vital for hundreds of things in the body, including normal heart rhythm and blood pressure.

I started using the cheapest form of magnesium supplement (oxide), in tablet form, 500 milligram. Swallowing it with water caused as expected, loose stools. I found that if I crushed the tablet with my teeth, let it mix with my saliva, rubbed it against the roof of my mouth to break it down further without swallowing it until it was a slurry, the magnesium would be absorbed directly into the bloodstream bypassing the intestinal tract.

I've been able to take (3), 500mg tablets one hour apart without diarrhea. After 1 week of taking one tablet per day in this fashion, my blood pressure dropped to the 120's over 80. My heart beat became more regular, I reduced my digoxin With doctors' OK from 250mcg to 125mcg because it was making me too tired.

Magnesium relaxes the blood vessels, lowering BP and also reduces muscle spasms and cramps. It's referred to by nutritionists as "The Master Mineral". Another way of getting magnesium is through the skin by adding Epsom salt to bathwater. It's also an electrolyte, and may be why Lea's (below post) is coming down. Our soils are depleted of minerals due to over farming. We are all deficient in many things as a result.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cidar vinegar is a miracle worker for me...since I have been using it for about 3-4 months now alot of things have drastically changed.

Let me remind you all that I have had severe high blood pressure since the age of 18 and today at 49 my pressure is normal and for 4 months I am meds free! Although my doc cant figure out how my pressure is normal and I havent filled my prescription in months.

Secondly, I deal with fibroids which makes my stomach bulge but the apple cider v has decreased the blood flow tremendously during periods. Although I am finding ways to shrink fibroids the ACV is shrinking my body weight like crazy! I took birthday pics and when I looked at myself I was greakin shocked! I looked damn goood and like 10 pounds lighter w no photo editing. Every morning I use 1 tablespoon a squeeze of lemon in 8oz of water. Then before dinner same routine. This works for me...

But I warn you DO NOT self medicate with just ACV if you have serious health issues.

For me I wanted another alternative to wean me off bp medication and for me it worked. 4 months later and bp is still normal as I take it every morn. ACV is my miracle worker and I will use it til im old & gray.

Kefir For High Blood Pressure

An electrician, aged about 35 years, in my town had some skin problem. He went to a Skin Specialist for treatment. The doctor prescribed a powerful medicine (antibiotic/steroids) for him. The doctor did not specify any probiotic treatment after the powerful treatment. His skin problem cleared in two days. Two weeks after the treatment, he had very severe headache. He went to his GP for a check-up. The GP did many tests and finally told him that he had very high blood pressure (220/180) and some people might not survive at this high blood pressure. The doctor prescribed some medicines for high blood pressure. On my advice, he also took one cup of milk Kefir ( a probiotic food ) in the morning on empty stomach. In two week time, his blood pressure returned to normal level (120/80).

It seems that the powerful medicine eliminated not only the bad bacteria responsible for his skin problem but also the nitric acid generating probiotic bacteria (L.Plantarm, L. Rhamnosus and L. Fermentum) in his digestive system. Since sufficient nitric oxide was not generated in his digestive system, the stiff blood vessels were not dilated. Because of this, his blood pressure went very high. Since Kefir contains nitric acid generating bacteria, he was cured of his high blood pressure problem in two week time. in my opinion, probiotic treatment after an antibiotic/steroids treatment can be anyone of the following two or both:

1) Take one cup of milk kefir in the morning on empty stomach for two weeks.

2)Take probiotic capsules or liquids containing some or all probiotic strains mentioned below. The medical problems and the probiotic strains needed to cure/prevent the associated medical problems as mentioned in the research papers available in the net are:

1) Diabetes Type 2 - L. Casei and L. Achidophilus.

2) MRSA Infection - L.Casei And L. Achidophilus.

3) C. Diff - L. Casei, L. Achidophilus and L. Reuteri.

4) High Blood Pressure - L. Plantarum, L. Rhamnosus and L. Fermentum.

5) Vitamin B2 Deficiency - L. Fermentum.

6) Vitamin B9 Deficiency - L. Plantarum.

7) Vitamin D and B12 Deficiencies - L. Reuteri.

8) Heart Disease - B. Longum, L. Plantarum and L. Reuteri.

9) Severe Constipation - B. Longum, B. Infantis, B. Breve and B. Lactis.

Kefir does not contain any Bifidum bacteria. Bifidum bacteria names starts with B. (e.g. B. Longum). Milk Kefir I use, does not contain L. Reuteri. If anybody knows any corrections or addition to the above list, please let me know.

There is an article available in the net on "Milk Kefir Remedies for High Blood Pressure" by John of Melbourne. He says that he solved his blood pressure problem by drinking milk kefir.

Best Wishes P. Raghavan.

I have High Blood Pressure and was taking Atenolol/Chlorthalidone (100-25mg Tab) for some time now. What got me started on ACV was that my doctor told me that my cholesterol numbers were high and that medication would be the key. I refused because I did not need another drug in my system. I got down to the last of the HBP pills and had to wait for more funds at that time to get more. I panicked but prayed about my situation. I had pounding headaches from no longer being on the meds. ACV (with the 'Mother') was put in my path because of the cholesterol issue so I began taking 2 tbsps with a full glass of water twice a day (began 12-09-16 day one). I then noticed that the headaches subsided over night. I was led to go on the web to research about HBP and found Earth Clinic. I found it positive and uplifting and there were people like myself who wanted to 'heal thyself'. I am now on day two of the regimen taking ACV 2tbsp with a full glass of water (I use a straw and it tastes ok) 3x per day (upon rising after prayer, midday and before I go to sleep). I meditate and walk around 1 hour per day; then I do light yoga daily. Everything positive and healing I focus on and do. My doctor's appointment is in January and I will see what happens. In the meantime, I will continue the regimen, find a reliable BP machine to keep up my readings and pray as well. I am also keeping a tally of my regimen to share in the future with all here.

I read one of the reader's posts (thank the reader) and it talked about beta blockers. The meds I was taking has a beta blocker in it and it blocks calcium from being absorbed in the body ( we need calcium! ). The Chlorthalidone makes you potty and you flush out Potassium (we need that too! ). These drugs are like 2 edge swords sort to speak; they are supposed to help you but hinder you down the road. I am so glad I have the gumption to do research and not buy into the pharmaceutical companies hype. One billion dollars is earned in that industry and people are getting sicker than ever. Enough of the soapbox for now. I will keep the community updated and thank you all. Be Blessed!

RE: High Blood pressure, Coenzeyme 10 (Qc10) will lower your blood pressure better than any Drug in the World that a DR can give you. 150milligram's 3 times a day, it can be taken along side your BP Med's if you've been scared and bullied enough by DR's to take it, it will not interfere with any Med's. I have helped Gang's of people with this, and I was one of them. My BP went fatal, last week I got it checked and I've got the BP of a super fit 18 year old and I'm 54yrs young. I never took any Med's as they cause more damage. It has to be Ubiquinol (there are many forms of Cq10), and a good Omega 3 oil is excellent too. Cq10 is made naturally by the body, but lower's with age and other factors. Statins are also evil, I met load's of people in Hospital that had heart attack's caused by Statins, an everyone I know has got heart damage from these Drug's. Its a lie about High Cholesterol, we need it. Our Brain's are made of it, Beet root juice lower's it brilliantly if you really believe it should be lowered, but it's got NOTHING to do with Heart Attack's. It's just another scare mongering tactic to sell more Drug's and make even more money for the evil one's. Do you think they take their own poison? No, they go to Health spas and eat Organic food, and natural remedies. And Detox in luxury using the money they scared everyone in to parting with for drug's. Love Andrea C xxxx

Garlic

For high blood pressure:

1. Take a couple of cloves of garlic--dice/mince and put into a small glass jar-
2. Add enough fresh lemon juice to bring up that level 2 times the level of your garlic.
3. Let it sit about 15 -30 minutes at room temp.

TAKE ONLY THE LIQUID.

The lemon has extracted the garlic oils etc and you WILL NOT give off a garlic aroma-

Take 1 to 2 tsp 3 to 4 times a day for chest congestion or the high BP and ALWAYS follow the dose with a nice tall glass of WATER.

Store covered in the refrigerator and make fresh every 2 days or so. This ALSO WORKS on insect bites/stings--place liquid on it or via a cotton ball whatever and also removes pus from infected scratches etc. I have also SEEN IT cauterize kitchen accidents when that knife slips- and literally remove pus and old blood from an infected scrape on my own kid's leg--my neighbor said to try this 1st as she saw my distress at the mess a simple scratch had morphed into overnight leading me to know that now this would need incising and drainage via the doctors office -lotta money now for the procedure and follow up antibiotics- she simply put the juice in a clean rag and held it there for a coupleof minutes and the wound was not only CLEANED OUT it had mimized to a simple hairline scratch in appearance from the gaping mess it was before--

The person that gave me this remedy was from Chile and she always SAID that the doctors and their medication can kill you and had never heard of a garlic and lemon killing anyone.

As for the hypertension--this will also be a source of garlic and without any aromatherapy!

When using as a form of antibiotic with asthma, bronchitis etc--you WILL GET AN INCREASE of phlegm which DOES NOT MEAN you're GETTING SICKER--it means you are in the process of ridding your body of the problem and if you continue you will see the mucus clearing literally in ""color"" and output.

I would say "ACV" is amazing. I was always in this thought that I ve "White Coat Syndrum" but it was not the reality so I was dignose with HBP(reading 160/100) in May. I want to try some natural remedies instead going on medication as I am taking medication for high cholesterol. I found this wonderful site of natrual remedies. I started taking ACV on Aug. 14 (this day I had Cardiac stress test and my BP was 165/110) within 4 days my BP is down to 133/88. Really I am surprised to see the results THanks to "Earthclinic"

How I take ACV? After reading almost every page on this topic, I choose take it like this:

3 tbls(0. 8 oz) of ACV and 1 tbls of Honey mix in
8-10 oz of warm water. I take it in the morning and bed time.

That s IT

Apple Cider vinegar and High Blood Pressure - YEA!!! Organic Apple Cider Vinegar works like a charm! One Tablespoon in eight ounces of water, three times a day. Within one day my blood pressure was down fifteen points. In three days it was down by thirty points. I'm in my mid 50's, meditate daily, I'm slender, very athletic, don't drink, don't smoke, no sugar, no caffeine, little salt (mineral sea salt only), no processed foods, all as organic and close to original as possible. Some fish, some meat, some dairy. Am taking fresh garlic, CoQ10, Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium, Omega 3's fish oil, Vit. C, E, B's, etc. Doc said I shouldn't have HBP, but went on to prescribe my first and only Rx. (I did have serious stress for the last few years.) I decided to go the natural/home remedy route first. I found STRENUOUS aerobic exercise, daily, to be the only thing to reliably make a difference, but it was exhausting. (Simple walking, gardening or cycling wasn't enough...) I found Earth Clinic's ACV reviews and gave it a try. WOW! Thank you! My guess is, that I wasn't producing enough stomach acid to process the nutrients I was taking in, properly. (Stress and adrenaline will shut down digestion, and digestive juices. This could also just be a natural aging affect or an inherited trait, too.) Anyway, I think the ACV added just enough acid to digest my food properly and especially make use of magnesium/calcium and potassium.(The holy triumvirate of blood pressure.) This is my guess... Thank you all for posting your reviews. They were most helpful. And thank you Earth Clinic! Kind regards, Michele
