Nail Polish

I had a wart on my finger and through my Dr. had it burned off, and it kept coming back(5 times) Aco-volunteer suggested I use clear nail polish and reapply it often, which I did and about 3 weeks later it was gone and knock on wood that was 4 years ago and its still gone. I think I suffocated it and I wish I had used that method and saved myself $100.00.

Banana peel worked for me. I had three warts under my nails in three different fingers. After two weeks of applying banana peel on it, it was totally gone.

Ten years of plantar warts. Surgery, freezing, cauterization, acids... None of them worked, all of them hurt. Finally got desperate, never been a fan of "hoaky" remedies, and low and behold banana peel and duct tape works better than ANYTHING! And the best part, is that it causes NO PAIN! Just a gift to anyone who has had them for a long time and relied on the failing medical community for help. For once, I love my hoaky remedies!

Banana peel worked wonders! I had Plantar warts for years and nothing I tried would even remotely work. I read about the banana peel on EARTHCLINIC and tried it on the cluster of 4 warts on my foot and the one wart on my toe. I just carved out a small piece of the inside of the banana, sometimes I left the peel on sometimes I wouldn't, and used band-aids to attach them to the warts. I left it on as long as it would stay, and if it fell off early I would reapply later.

Well after just a few days the black spots in the middle of the warts started to raise and the warts were smaller. After about 2 weeks of this process daily the warts just fell out. There was a small hole where they were which healed over later. This was a year ago and they are still gone!! Thank you so much for this cure, it was amazing!

OK, I will admit I am a skeptic. I started using the banana peel 48 hours ago. I have 3 warts. 2 on my right hand, and a plantars wart on my foot. My plantars wart seems to have reacted to the banana peel as there is now a small hole in my foot. No black dots, but I don't believe it is gone as alchohol and vinegar have no pain effect to the hole. If it was down to raw flesh I am sure I would feel it. The 2 on my hand don't look much different as of yet. A little softer when I first take the band aid off, but color, size, etc are about the same. I will post my results after a couple weeks.

The most popular Wart remedy in the middle east is the milk of the fig leaf. My daughter had a little wart on her pinky. THe doc froze it off, it came back 5 times bigger and jumped to the other finger. We applied the milk from a fig leaf everyday for 3 weeks. All the warts shriveled and died. Very popular remedy. Just find a fig plant and cut the leaf off at the base of the stem and apply the milky substance on finger and let dry. Works wonders after about 2-3 weeks of daily application.

Apple cider really works!!!
Apply a little cotton ball soaked in apple cider vinegar every night, attached with some tape and in less than one week you will see how the wart starts disappearing. I had tried every chemical I found for months and nothing worked. No salicylic acid, no freezing, nothing! Try it!

Hi Monika, I'm excited to read your post. I've had a wart on my foot for YEARS.. Been to 3 foot docs and now I'm going to a dermatologist. My last visit was Friday and I'm sure in some way this thing is laughing at me and saying 'are you serious' as today there is no sign of the 'freezing' the doc performed. I told her to freeze the hello out of it.. she did and today its like I never went.

So, yes, I'm quite interested about your treatment and this tea you are making. Would you mind posting your recipe for the tea?

Thanks a million and here's to hopefully happy feet here soon! Best wishes...Addy

Turmeric

This is my story about warts. I promised myself I would post this once I figured out a cure! I am so happy I intuitively found Fresh Turmeric Root and it has healed a wart problem I've been trying to treat for 2 years.

With the previous methods I tried, the wart would only get very small but not go away!

I think I first got this plantar wart on my foot during my travels in India. I never knew what it was because it was totally flat, less than 2 mm across and looked more like a divot or a flake of dry skin than what I usually think of as a wart.

It wasn't until my boyfriend asked me about it that I went and purchased an over the counter remedy. I bought a "wart stick" which is basically like a chapstick with salicylic acid in it. The wart came out from hiding and then I knew what it was! It got bigger and I felt it was no where near strong enough to remove a wart which had potentially been there 8 years without my knowing it.

Thats is when I found this website and tried several of the natural remedies. I didn't want to go to a doctor or have it freezed or cut off. I had read that sometimes these methods only cause more warts to come out!

I tried Banana Peel, and my foot really hurt! And it didn't seem to be getting any better. (Now I think it had similar effect as turmeric - but it was tough for me to keep fresh peel around). I tried ACV but it was too stinky and my boyfriend hated it). I also tried a few others but no luck. I tried to go to a clinic but they only recommended drugstore remedies.

Thats when I thought I would give the stronger over the counter medicine a try. I bought several brands of salicylic acid in a brush on jar, a bandaid with medication, the little stickers and the at home freezing kits! I used these for a year and a half! Always thinking somehow I was getting close. With extreme diligence its size would go down but the qualities of it would not change. It was always white. It would never scab or come to the surface.

I must have spent way over $200 on these meds, but they only prolonged my battle. In the mean time I couldn't get mani-pedis or feel great with my shoes off! I tried using exfoliating pumice stones and beach sand, toothpicks and razor blades to get the wart out! DO NOT DO THIS! It will spread little bits of the virus all over the shower or bathroom or whatever place you are working in!

All of my fussing with the wart on my foot ended up cause a new wart on my hand this time! I immediately tried the over the counter salicylic glue bottle but it got bigger and bigger - until I had it on my hand for one month! I was starting to feel very desperate and sought out a podiatrist. I got a price quote for a deep cryogenic treatment started saving the $150, but I felt conflicted because of the one on my hand!

I do NOT recommend any of the traditional western medical treatments! Plantar warts are deep and you cant go in to get the wart (it seems)! You have to make the wart come out and kill it from the root or internally. It will naturally die and be expelled by new layers of skin if you use what I eventually used!

FRESH TURMERIC ROOT was my savior! I found it at a local Asian Grocery. It looks exactly like a ginger root only a little smaller and very yellow/orange.

I sliced the root and used a bandaid to stick it to my foot and hand. I would push on the area to make the juices come out and to stimulate the area into sending my natural immune defences out.

I also made a daily tea drink of Grated Turmeric Root, Ginger, and Dried Hibiscus Flowers. These are all great for the immune system and the Hibiscus has a ton of Vitamin C!

I really think the tropical nature of these plants helped out with the tropical nature of my wart!

I think that Banana Peel might work the same way, but I felt like all the bananas with black chunks of peel missing were messy. Also Salicylic Acid may work somehow, but the over the counter dosages are very small. I consider Salicylic Acid to be a natural remedy because it comes from willow bark. Maybe if you went to a live willow tree and stripped a piece of bark it would be more potent.

I love the fresh Turmeric Root because it is a lot less messy then the powder and probably 20X more potent because you can keep it alive unwrapped in the refrigerator!

At first my warts got big and like little mushroom clouds at their maximum diameter about 5 or 6 mm. But NOW they were really at the surface and their size diminished as I gently scraped the dead skin off with a toothpick. Within the first week they were down to about 2 mm in size with the area around all being replaced by new pink skin!

They hurt for that first week, but now I am at the end of my second week and they look great. The skin is completely flat, the warts have scabbed up (red color- not white! ) and the scabs have fallen off. I see new skin underneath and it just seems a little dry and yellow - because of the root.

I feel extremely confident that this is my final cure! I am going to continue to treat for one more week just to be sure. But a 3 week treatment surely beats 2 years of constant applications and worry with the over the counter medications!

I am so RELIEVED! I hope you try this method. Fresh turmeric root is easy to find in Asian or Indian Groceries. Dry root can also be found - I would rehydrate it before using so that the turmeric can really seep into the skin. The power must be of some use as well and I have heard of making a paste. I'm sure it can be used if that is your last resort, but the whole root makes a nice little slice that will easily stay under a bandage!

GOOD LUCK! I hope to hear more success stories using FRESH TURMERIC ROOT! Whatever you do don't give up! Find a natural remedy that works or keep trying new ones till you find one that works for you! Cheers!

I used ripe banana peels on my daughters feet. I put the banana peel on the bottom of her foot at night, covered it with a plastic bag, and then slipped on a sock to keep it in place. They were gone in about a week. It was amazing and worked so much better than those OTC products.

For about two years I had a wart on the inside of the third finger on my right hand where the first joint is. I went to the dermatologist and she applied liquid nitrogen on two or three separate occasions and it did not work. I read about applying ACV to the wart and this is what I did: I took the cotton end of a Q-tip swab and soaked it in ACV that I purchased at Target for less than $1. With the ACV soaked cotton pressed to the wart, I secured it with a band aid. I did this for about a week, applying a fresh piece morning then again at night. Eventually I just kept the wart covered with the ACV/band aid overnight.

After about two weeks later I noticed the wart turning dark and eventually it dried. I was able to remove what was left of the wart with cuticle nippers. The skin where the wart once was is perfectly smooth and the wart has not grown back. I swear by this remedy and will now use organic ACV (_____'s) for solar keratosis that I have on my back and chest. My dermatologist prescribed imiquimod but the lesions look worse now than before. After the course of treatment I will try the ACV if the imiquimod does not work. I will keep everyone posted!

Olive Leaf extract is absolutely awesome. I take it up to three times a day as it is totally non toxic. Rather than go into detail just google up olive leaf extract. It is especially good for infection.

I am going tomorrow to a dermatologist to see about having a plantar wart on the bottom of my foot removed. I've had this thing for a really long time and enough is enough.. So I'm biting the bullet. My friend's father is a herbal doctor and he suggested since I've had it as long as I have, go ahead and get it removed but to follow up with taking a 2 a day regimen of olive leaf oil for 3 months to address the virus in my system.

Does anyone have experience with taking olive leaf oil?

My son had at least 6 planters warts on his one foot which were painful and seemed to be multiplying in spite of all our efforts. Got some pure aloe vera gel (the whole plant not simply the inner milk/juice) at the health food store for about $12 for a small bottle and started putting that on his foot at night while he slept (no covering, just open to the air). Within 6 days they started to turn black as I read. After about 2 1/2 weeks they are all gone. Looks like a brand new foot. No pain involved in the whole process.

I tried this for quite some time, with only very marginal results. Then I switched to pharmaceutical salicylic acid, and the wart was gone within a couple of weeks. Note, however, that I'm not so much knocking this method as I am making people aware of another method. Warts are weird, and the success of various treatments seem to wildly differ between different people.

I have just come across an article which says that moles and warts are causes by a potassium deficiency. I had not heard of this before. Interesting that Apple Cider Vinegar is high in potassium and thus good for moles and warts. Another reason to take it everyday. Also molasses is high in potassium. Below are two links the second one has foods high in potassium.

I had a Plantars Wort years ago that felt like I was walking on a shard of glass. I was told I'd need to have it surgically removed. At that time I was working at a health food store, so when a podiatrist came in to make a purchase, I asked him for his opinion. He said: "You dont need surgery!! Just soak the gauze of a band-aid in Vit E oil and put it on your plantars wort. Change the bandage twice daily. Within 10 days the wort will turn black and fall off". I followed his instructions (I punctured Vit E capsules w/ a pin and squeezed the oil onto the band-aids) and within 10 days the wort fell off... Never to return! =o)

Thanks Doris, you have been a great help! I am also taking 4000mg of Vit. C a day because of other problems like allergies. My pills actually contain zinc as well, 15mg so I will keep taking them. I went on a higher dose yesterday so too early to say whether the zinc might be working. My allergies are getting better but I am taking quite a few things apart from the Vit. C with zinc and rutin. I will keep you informed.......

Posted by Doris (Murfreesboro, Tennessee) on 04/04/2011

Hi Francisca, I think taking zinc internally is the best way to take care of warts, no matter where they are located. I took one pill every morning with breakfast before I went to work. It was either 15 mgs or 30 mgs, I can't remember which. It wasn't a real high dose. But, in a matter of days I saw results. I wish I had known about zinc before I had the warts burned off twice.

For the last several years I have taken 4, 000 mgs of Vitamin C a day that was recommended to me by a doctor for my immune system.

Here is a website about zinc that I have found helpful to me.

I wish you all the best in getting rid of the warts. Take care.

Apple Cider Vinegar
Posted by Francisca (Michelbach-le-bas, Alsace, France) on 04/03/2011

Hi Doris, I was going to post a question regarding internal treatments for warts but now I see your posting maybe you can tell me more about the zinc you took. How much, how did you take it, how many times a day? Because as someone said here a little while ago if you have the virus inside your body it is no use getting rid of individual warts. That is my problem exactly, I am getting more and more on my right leg so getting rid of them one by one is not the right solution. I knew there had to be something you could take that would cure you but I haven't found anything so far. I know that they can all disappear all of a sudden but mine never seem to. I would appreciate if you gave me all the information you can and maybe someone else has more tips?

Vitamin C also seems to work well against viruses, at least I have just read that in a book by Linus Pauling and I happen to have Vitamin C with zinc but maybe too little zinc, I don't know! I have warts on my hands, some of them very small, my leg, have had them under my feet......

To Joseph from Long Beach, Ca: I had plantar warts back in the 1980's on the bottom of one foot. The foot doctor burned them off, but they came back so he burned them off again. They came back again but I didn't want to go through that painful procedure for a third time. Right after that I read somewhere that zinc was good for plantar warts. I got a bottle and took one pill a day for about a month. In a few days after I started taking them I noticed that the warts weren't as noticeable and didn't hurt as much. I've never had any warts again. If you try zinc, I hope it works for you like it did for me. Good luck.

I've tried ACV, in fact, I finish the whole bottle. It didn't work on my plantar warts. I've tried Tagment and it didn't work. Freezing doesn't work for me. All this may be due to my weak immune system. I've tried duct tape. I've tried Compound W both liquid and tape. None of them work. I had one cut out by a foot dr and it hurt like hell. Last time I do that. I've tried other oils as well and it didn't work.

So I waited for an hour or two then I put a little pad on him then sealed it with duck tape. Waited for 12 to 24 hours but the longer I waited the better they went away but the more the skin was getting scabbed but I am worryed about my son he is four and I would like to see him not grow up with them it would hurt me more then the dumest thing I could ever do and now he went from having 12 to 8 really small ones also I was reading just some of your stuff and think you are comming up with something it is there but now I will take a bit every week to see what it could do

Hi. Great website. I read the banana peel cure for plantar warts and it really does work. It helped my plantar warts on my foot that I have had for 4 years but.... Liquid Bandage worked better. The reason these warts are dying is because they are being smothered by the duct tape. They need Oxygen. What I did was rub the banana peel on the area, wash it off, dried it and applied 2 coats of New Skin (liquid bandage). A huge wart and 5 smaller ones were gone in 4 days. I cut away all the dead skin with a razor blade every morning, applied 2 coats and that was it. The roots turned black and fell off. Then I applied the liquid bandage to the holes left by the root and they filled in super fast. The liquid bandage is also an anti-septic. Thanks.

Here is another remedy for plantar's warts. My daughter had one on the palm of her hand (same type of skin as the bottom of foot) which was growing inward. The root started putting pressure on the bone beneath in and really started to hurt. I combined baking soda and castor oil to form a gummy paste, put a piece of it over the wart and covered it with a bandaid. We put a clean piece of "gum" and bandaid on daily. In about 7 days the roots of the wart started coming outward and when they were long enough, I took a tweezers and carefully pulled the roots out. The wart went away after that and never came back. This is a great alternative to getting plantars warts on the bottom of your feet burned off. Just make sure you careful pulling out the roots so that they don't break. If the root remains under the skin, the wart will most likely. If so, repeat the remedy, making sure to get ALL the root the next time.

I have had plantar warts on both of my feet at one time or another, I tried freezing, duct tape, and even tried bleomycin (incredibly painful) injected by a dermatologist. The only thing that ever worked was to use mediplast (it is the only product that seems to work), using this technique: www.wartsplantarwarts.com
It really is that easy, just get mediplast and tape, you don't even need to use nearly as much tape as in that picture or really even use a pumice stone, scissors will work.

I have always used Castor Oil mixed with Baking Soda. Mix it into a chewing gum like consistency, put it on the warts then put on a bandaid if you want. You can also just put on a sock if it is on your foot or hand. Then go to sleep and let it work for you. If used every night, it usually takes about 1 - 2 weeks, but I have seen then go in a couple of days.

Did you use pure ACV or diluted with water? I tried to bade my hand in ACV and water for a while as I have a few small warts but it never changed a thing. I did it while watching TV in the evening for maybe 20 minutes. Maybe I should have used more ACV and less water.... So far although they are small, some of them even tiny, nothing really has worked. I am going to try the garlic method now.

For over 20 years, I had over 12 significant plantar warts on one area of my right foot. THEY ARE NOW TOTALLY GONE.

I tried many many procedures and home remedies over the years. Last year, I said that is it! I'm intensely working with them until they are gone. I had tried over-the-counter acid, duct tape, and scraping for year - didn't work. I did have two wart surgeries and acid treatment--would NEVER do those again. Very painful, debilitating, and all my warts grew back quickly. I tried Tea Tree Oil. I did the caster oil-baking soda wraps daily for five weeks. I did the electronic zapper for warts. NONE of these could effectively work for this large group of warts.

Then I worked with ORGANIC APPLE CIDER VINEGAR. I soaked my foot, scraped off as much as I could with a scapel, and then soaped again. I did that daily. I am very happy to report that after about 4-6 weeks, I have no warts what-so-ever. Hope you will have success too.
