Have tried many different natural treatments for warts but have found that the essential oils of lemon, teatree, myrhh, lavender, carrier oil of calendula and herbal tinchure of thuja in a mix applied to the affected area works really well.

a bit of saliva on the tip of my finger every now and then has nearly caused a sebaceous wart on my forehead at the hairline to disappear. It is certainly much smaller.

I've had a wart on the bottom on my foot for 5 years. I've tried these methods to get rid of it: banana peel, duct tape, vinegar, oregano oil, over-the-counter meds, and freezing it (3 times!) by a dermatologist. For the past 4 days I've been putting a slice of fresh turmeric (and band aid) over it, once in the morning and once at night. It's almost completely gone now. Turmeric is magic. I hope this works for you, too.
I have a wart on my knee that I have been filing down and covering with a banana peel and duct tape every night for week. I have not noticed any serious change... it bleeds when I file it down... just looks red and irritated when I remove the peel and tape. Nothing is turning black.
This is the 3rd wart I have had in my lifetime oddly all have been on my right side and each one appeared years apart... my first at age 10.. the second at age 33.. and this one at 52. The first 2 I had frozen off with liquid nitro... but my insurance is not great these days, so I am trying a more economical approach.

I've had this wart on my finger for almost a year now, I used ACV and it started turning black, the wart came off ( at least I think ) but the inside had a yellow daughter and the outer part of my skin is a light red and hurts a little. Should I continue putting ACV on it or let it go away on it's own .
My grandmother has always told us that her mother used to rub the slime of a European black slug on her warts and she used that remedy on us too when we were little.I remember one particular nasty one on my finger that gave me a lot of grief over autumn, winter and spring and I couldn't wait for the first warm summer rains for the little gastropods to reappear. I don't recall how long it took for the warts to die as that was the last thing on an 8 year old's mind but die they did and quickly too.
Unfortunately we don't live in Europe anymore but every time I go and visit I rub one all over my hands and fingers.

I'd like to correct my previous post and write that if you put thuja oil overnight at sensitive areas the second or third day you can get a burn and pus. So only for just one night and then without cotton or bondage it might be better.
Every once in a while I get a plantar wart, I suspect from unclean showers. This can be avoid by cleaning your shower and or wearing slippers. But its hard to be diligent all the time.
Last several times I got a plantar wart, I tried a new revolutionary method that just came to me. I know that getting rid of warts in large part is an immune system thing. I figured if I could get my immune system to recognize it it would take care of itself.
So I sterilized a pin and poked myself deep past the wart layer till I could feel some pain. This told me I had reached under the wart. I did this a few more times spaced out over a period of some days. Within a relatively short period of time my wart went away.
Plantar warts can be hard to see accounting for their location, but you can tell they are there as when they get bad enough they start to hurt your foot when you walk. I'm happy to report I'm now pain free. :0)
Back when I was a kid, I developed a big wart on my middle finger. My dear mother suggested soaking it in Vinegar. I think Mom picket up on many of the folk cures back in the 60's & 70's from reading educational journals like Readers Digest among others. Anyway, as I recall, I soaked that finger in Distilled White Vinegar for about 30-60 minutes per day for about 10 or so days and the wart fell off to never return. It did leave a noticeable scar, but no big deal.
Fast forward to a few yrs ago and have developed another big wart on the heal of my foot. Have applied many different ointments and medicinals (both natural & pharmaceutical) including ACV & H2O2 (which were quite effective but caused too much pain) with only modest success and even have clipped & dug with incisors for removal. I once almost dug the wart out completely but it grew back again. Couple months ago I decided to apply Zapping with two small pieces of Silver Wire purchased for making C.S. water antibiotic. The zapping effect was immediate but after about 2 wks of a few minutes daily I had reached stalemate. So I increased the voltage with some improvement but still continues resistant. In conjunction with the zapping, I have, for about 2 wks to now, applied a small strip of SalonPas over the W at night during bed-time. At this point the W seems 80% dead and so am continuing with said treatments.
I've been doing the Apple Cider Vinegar treatment for 1 1/2 weeks (covered by bandaid day & again at night.). There is a scab forming with white rim around it. Do I continue with same process until it falls off or leave open now so scab can harden? Unclear what to do going forward.
I got a pencil eraser sized growth on my upper ankle. It was flat at first then within a week or so it grew and became very raised above about 1/8" or so. I thought I better go to dermatologist. But decided to try a cotton ball cut in half, soak in mothers ACV, I was very skeptical. After a shower in the morning for three days I would put the soaked cotton ball on it and two bandaids criscrossed. it turned pretty black and ugly after the second day, freaked me out. Third morning one side of it was peeling of at the surface of my leg. I didn't touch it but applied the cotton ball again. That night I took a shower after removing the band aids. I thought I would let it dry out so put on Levi's and forgot about it. Three hours later keep feeling something wet on my leg, thought was water from doing the dishes, finally got up and my Levi's had a lot of blood on them around the wart. It had fallen off. I hope its a wart and not something worse. Anybody have comments? Thanks.
I've tried various methods to get rid of warts for YEARS.more than 20. No, they don't always go away. Natural remedies/freezing/doctor's appointments...these all made them worse and more painful. I ended up speaking with a physician who told me that if you take a clean needle, poke it with holes til it bleeds, that my own natural immune system would take care of it. Since I had mosiac warts, the worst, on both my hands and suddenly my toes- I broke down and poked about three holes in the largest one on the bottom of my pinky toe. KILLED IT! AND THE 2 THAT WERE GROWING ON THE SECOND TOE! Gone!
I'll have to do my hands, one at a time but I know I have to soak them and soften them before I can break through them. Good luck.
I want to try Kelly's method of applying ACV on the warts. I have many warts scattered around my neck and a few under my breasts. I am planning to have them surgically removed but it's a little expensive so I decided to look for natural remedies that really worked on removing warts. It's good that I found this forum as there are lots of options that I can try.

Another alternative that even works with planters warts is to use a combination of tea tree oil then DMSO to drive it in deeper applied with a cue tip. The wart will begin to dry. Once it does take a small very sharp pocket knife and scrape off the top layer of dead cells till it feels a bit tender and repeat process until gone. This also takes about two weeks or less.
Hi, Just wanted to say matches worked for my son who had warts on his hand which were spreading all over his hand. We had applied the prescription the Doctor had prescribed which was salicylic acid 80% paste at night and then in the morning used razor blade to take the top of them off. They were like seed warts. Well it wasn't getting rid of them. Just really made the skin soft so that we could razor the top layer off. One area had like a whole bunch of warts with like seeds under skin that was razored off. Well, what happened was, it would not stop bleeding in that area after taking of the top layer of warts off. We used the stick matches and lit them and blew them out and then put them on the bleeding area which stopped the bleeding. We had to use several of them. We did this just one time, but were very surprised because in about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks they were gone. What happened was amazing. The other warts on his hand which we DID NOT put the match tip on disappeared too. It was almost like, the area that was the worst that had like a cluster of warts was the mother wart area and when it was killed, the others disappeared too. The big area we did this to was on the palm of his hand (the area between his thumb and finger.) He also was taking Vitamin C , 1000mg daily for immune system. But I know it was the stick matches that made them disappear.

I have some small warts on my forehead and used banana peel scrapings to place on the watrs. Unfortunately a rather large amount of scrapings collected on my forehead skin and not on the wart. Now the skin in this are is depressed (like a small hole or crater) and it has been burning there for about two days. I'm afraid the skin won't heal itself and also There is still a burning sensation from the area. The are is a little darker as well. Is this a known side effect and will my skin recorver/grow back? Or am I stuck with this? Is there a treatment that can stop the burning?

John, I wouldn't worry much about it. Warts are caused by a virus and what is seen on the surface is just a small part of the total system, which is like an iceberg.
The banana peel is a very effective treatment and probably just killed virally infected cells under the skin, leaving the depression. it should grow back in time--try putting extra virgin coconut oil on it and up your vitamin c intake.

WARNING!
Thanks Nanowriter from Hotspot. I do get that the wort is only the tip of the iceberg, hence the thicker skin where the wort is located. Unfortunately the banana peepl scarings slid down and colleted in an area where there are no worts whatsoever. My guess is that acid from the scrapings burnt into my skin, creating the depression in that area. The depression is the size of a small fingernail and is only where the scrapings were left. A lot of people seem to have benefited from the banana peel treatment. I would like to give the WARNING to be very careful if banana peel scrapings are applied and not just the banana peel. It is my experience that they can burn into the skin. One possible explanation that I can come up with is that I scraped too hard on the banana peel so that too much acid juice from the banana peel itself might have made its way into the scrapings that I applied on my skin. I haven't given up hope that the skin will grow back in the area, partly or completely and I will post at a later date about this to make sure others can take their precautions. In the mean time I will treat the area with virgin coconut oil and up my vitamin C intake, as you suggest.
Thanks Mike62 for your reply. I seriously can't see how I could be allergic to bananas as I have been eating them all my life and don't have any other allergies whatsoever. I'm pretty sure it was an organic banana but can't be completely sure of this. I am very sure, however, that the part of the skin, where the banana peel scrapings ended up accidentally, did not have any problems before what I presume is an acid burn cause by banana peel scrapings.

It's been a little more than 5 weeks since the banana peel scrapings burned a cavity on my forehead. It is still slightly darker and the whole is still there but it is less. I still hope it will disappear in time but I'm guessing it will not go away completely. I wish I had been more careful with the banana peel scrapings or just stuck to rubbing the skin lightly with the banana peel. That would probably have been completely safe. Does anybody know how long I should avoid being in the sun so that the tissue does not turn even darker?
I am looking for a natural cure for flat warts that cover large surfaces of the legs. Taping banana peels or cotton balls does not work as affected surface areas are too large. Is there something to take internally or some sort of topical remedy that can be applied over large areas uncovered (can't wrap up the legs in tape or cotton! ). I would be grateful for a cure!

About Theresa
Theresa from Minneapolis was born and raised in the inner city, always wishing she had been raised on a farm.
Her love for creatures great and small began at an early age, starting with caterpillars - which continues to this day, along with an interest in all insects and 'creepy crawlies'.
Theresa's interest in pet health started with a bird keeping hobby at age 14, where she learned from another hobbyist that the simple addition of Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) in a bird's drinking water kept fungal infections away; she was able to share this with her avian vet who in turn prescribed it to her own clients; Theresa was surprised to learn that she could teach her vet a thing or two. This important lesson - that each of us can be a teacher - was a turning point for Theresa, and fueled her quest for the knowledge held in lore, and remedies passed by word of mouth. That quest for knowledge continues to this day, as new and old remedies alike are explored. She may not have experience with a particular issue, but she will research it to the best of her ability and share what she finds freely, in the hopes that you can heal or improve your pet's health.

I feel your pain - and am trying to get rid of warts also!
I have the garden variety of warts; I know my grandma told me not to run barefoot and to garden with gloves on but I didn't listen! Now I see why - gah, these warts on my feet and hands!
I have had success on warts here or there with the wart drops you buy at the drug store, but that is a tedious process. I have recently been soaking in epsom salt baths [2 cups to a tub, 3x week] and have seen some of the warts on the soles of my feet come off. Its too early to know if they are licked for good, but its a start.
Another consideration is clove oil; read up on it as there are several kinds. A friend's fiance' had a long standing ugly wart on his finger and she wanted his hands to look nice for the close up photo of the rings at their wedding, so she tried clove oil on him [drops on a band aid, daily for a week or so] - the wart came off never to return! So I am heartened with her first hand experience in treating his wart with clove oil and will try it myself. You might try this also but use gauze and an ace bandage and perhaps wear only to bed/over night.

Internally you could try taking green tea extract, folic acid and vitamin C. Look under HPV (human papilloma virus) in the remedies section for more info.
