I used ACV to treat my wart and it worked within 3 days time. After the wart fell off, my color hasn't come back in over 6 months. How or what can I used to bring the color back in that spot?

I had the contrary, as I had a big wart on my leg which wasn't disappearing with ACV I decided to use white vinegar for a few days. It was looking good so I decided to do it one last time during the night to be sure the wart was gone. My leg got very sore and it hurt a lot. When it healed I had a big brown mark, many times bigger than the wart so I really regretted it but now, almost a year later the mark is a lot lighter and actualy doesn't bother me anymore. It is near my ankle so no one is going to look down there and I think that it will still get lighter. As yours is white I really don't know. I have a lot of white spots all over my body and I have never found anything to give them some color.

I have had a planters wart on the pad of my foot now for 3 months. Where the wart is positioned is really causes pain to the point that I can't place pressure while walking, so not only am I in pain for the wart but my entire foot is not aching due to me walking on the side of my foot to prevent the pressure. I have had acid treaments and went to the doctors and had the freeze treaments. After no success and horrible pain I decided to try the natural way! So at night I started with the banana peel and in the morning I am appyling the Apple Cider Vinegar. I am noticing results right away. In just 2 days!! The skin around the wart is turning white with dead skin, and I can see an underlying darkness starting to appear. The wart has started to move closer to the surface... This is amazing. I just keep removing the outer dead skin and reapplying the steps. I bought a corn remover at the store and I soak my foot then carefully remove the dead skin with the corn razor. Once thats done apply the banana peel. I know this sounds crazy but save yourself the money and time and give these remedies a try.

I had a plantars for about 3 years, tried freezing, salycilic acid, even had my dermo remove it surgically... That was terrible painful and I couldnt walk normally for 2 weeks. Then it came back, BIGGER! He said we would have to remove it again. I said NO!
Found this site, did ACV on it for about 3 weeks, on a cotton ball taped to my foot every night. It got swollen, turned white, hurt sometimes. Then about 2 weeks in I noticed it was turning black. A week more and it practically fell out. I still had some black dots, but there was a small crater where the wart used to be. To make sure it was gone I used a salycilic acid liquid on it for about 4 days. Today I scrubbed the acid off and everyhting is completely gone. Just some dead skin and a hole where the bugger used to be! No dots, nuthin! I am very happy! After all this all it took was a 2 dollar bottle of ACV, some bandages and tape and a wee bit of patience. Saved me another 150 bucks and my knees from hurting because I was walking funny! ACV is now a part of my daily life!

Hello all, I have been using apple cider vinegar for a week now. At first I saw some black dots but eventually the wart got white and puffy. I picked on it and the outer layer came off. Thus the wart looked smaller but underneath the other layer there remained a smaller wart. I have been using a cotton ball soaked Apple Cider Vinegar and bandaid to cover it over night. But it's again getting white and puffy with some black dots, but that's about it. The wart is not getting completely black as I read it should. It hurts like hell. B4 Apple Cider Vinegar I tried raw crushed garlic one night but ended up with a huge blister. Now to treat that I am using neosporin around the wart and Apple Cider Vinegar on top of the wart. Getting impatient with this now. Need help.

The homeopathic Thujua occidentalis works great for warts. Be sure to follow abstaining from certain things during use of homeopathics. I think its caffiene, menthol, alcohol, and mint.

I have been doing ACV for a few days now and my wart has just gotten much bigger and white. What happened to you? Did it end up going black and coming off? I'm worried about this wart just getting bigger and bigger....

I had what I assume was a plantar wart imbedded into the ball of my foot; it was a growth that looked exactly like a kernel of corn (when dug & pried out) but obviously with a root attached to a blood vessle, because it was a bloody mess to remove. Despite removal, it keep growing back bigger year after year. Nothing 'cure it' after 10 years. Being my dominant foot and very painful once it reached a certain size; I got desperate and used an insulin needle to inject it with a bit of Clorox. Problem solved; within a week it 'died" once and for all, and turned into a dried up callus-kernel which I pried out for the very last time. It's been 10 years now and no sign of it! What a relief to have that over & done with!!

I am on day 5 of banana peels. my skin looks smoother, and so much healthier.
question, for anyone that has used the banana peels method, at what point in time do you stop using the peels? will the warts turn black and fall off..... I have 3 sore type spots on my foreskin, that were caused do to burns from Apple Cider Vinegar and freezing. they tend to start to scab, then they bleed slightly after leaving peels on; i am wondering do I continue using the peels until all is completely healed and normal looking ? thanks in advance for input.

My son had what we thought to be a callus on the sole of his foot. The doctor said it was a plantar wart and that there was no definite cure apart from expensive laser treatment. The internet recommended putting duct tape over it or salicylic acid. Nothing worked. An african friend said to try jaggery. Warm the jaggery in a spoon over heat and apply while warm to the wart when going to bed. Cover with gauze held in place with micropore tape. Remove in the morning. Do this for about 4 months, sometimes more sometimes less. My son's fell of after 4 months and left an impression which disappeared after a week.

I read with great interest the thread about bananas and warts. I have a good sized one on my index finger. I believe I picked it up from my son, 12, who has a dime sized wart on his thumb. (I have been trying to tweeze out the seeds, with no success. ) His wart has been an annoyance for a couple years now. We have tried all the over-the-counter store remedies, with no good results. We purchased a green organic banana, after the "normal" ones didn't seem to be effective. I am putting pieces of peel on each wart to cover with a little overlap onto healthy tissue. I then cover the chunk with skin colored first-aid tape. The stretchy kind in a roll is good, as it goes over the top of the piece of peel and makes a good seal and isn't unsightly. The normal peel made the wart feel a little tingly. The organic one is supercharged powerfully tingly, borderline on pain. (More about the sensation for my wart in a moment... )
It has been 3 days. My son's wart is softer and much less raised in appearance. He takes the tape and peel off in the afternoon because he just doesn't care for the treatment. We are on a break from school, so it is my hope to finish this before he returns to classes. I would prefer to not make him feel embarrassed by wearing banana peel tape to school!
Regarding my wart: I feel this is important to share, as it hasn't been mentioned that I can find. Yesterday evening I used nail clippers to trim away as much skin on top of the wart as I could without causing bleeding. I then put my new peel piece on and went to bed. IT BURNED LIKE NUTS!!!!!! Holy cow! I do not suggest you hasten the process of healing by removing the excess skin! Woo boy! NOTHING you can buy to burn warts hurts like this crazy banana peel on fresh, non-calloused warty areas! I took the peel off this morning and my wart is inflamed and stings. It is very sensitive to the touch. I let it rest for a few hours and just reapplied another peel piece. More stinging: enough to inspire me to post this. I am downright stunned that something so innocent as a banana peel could be so potent in this way. I don't know if our wart issues will be resolved completely, but I will say it "feels" like it is working. I like that I am not subjecting my body to more chemicals. And oh man, do I wish I hadn't trimmed that skin off last night.

If that works for you then great! It all has to do with our mind. If you have a mind that believes that banana peels works for your warts then banana peels works for your warts! That is wonderful! I have a mind for Castor oil; it take Castor oil and mix it with baking soda to make a gum like paste (chewing gum) and put that on mine when I get them, my boyfriend when he had 8 planters on his foot, and my child when he had some on his fingers. That worked for me! I believe our mind has everything to do with getting healthy. What works for some, might not work for others!

I have been meaning to get back here for a couple months now and share how it went, but that's how completely banana peels cured my plantar wart: I forgot all about it! Let me start at the beginning. Over 20 years ago, when I was in my mid-teens, I had the plantar wart from hell on the instep of my right foot. I had it for months and it felt like glass embedded in there, growing not so wide (no more than the size of a quarter, at most) but very *deeply* into my foot; my conservative estimate was definitely over a half-inch, going by what I could feel around it and how much I eventually had to cut off it.
I went to a doctor who -- God bless him -- said he could cut them out, but that if I'd just wait it'd come out on its own. Waiting sounded just fine to my mother because it was free, so I waited and waited and waited... And finally in desperation took to slicing a hair off the top of it every night with a very sharp razor and rubbing alcohol. Mostly it didn't hurt but OMG when I went too deep!!! Anyway, a few weeks of that, and then one night I went to take my slice off the top and the razor pulled the stump of it out, leaving a crater in my foot that was nicely covered with skin, just misshapen from where the wart had been. I was SOOOOO grateful it was gone!!!! From beginning to end, I think I suffered with it for around nine months or so, possibly longer.
Fast forward to September of this year, when after showering I noticed a hard, darkening spot on the instep of my right foot, exactly where the plantar wart had been so many years ago. With a sinking heart -- because I remember well just exactly how bad that thing hurt!!! -- I realized it was coming back, and decided to get some Compound W at the store, but when I looked for it they were out.
I came back home and it occurred to me to look on this site, and that is the first time I ever heard about banana peels to cure warts, not to mention how blessed I'd been to NOT have the first wart cut out! So at the first opportunity I was back at the store to get the greenest ripe bananas I could find, having eaten the last banana in the house the day before reading your site. I got a bunch, brought them home, peeled and ate the greenest, and then cut up the peel into pieces sized just bigger than the new wart and put them in the freezer. That night, I took a big square of duct tape, stuck the piece of peel to the duct tape so that the inner part of the peel would face my foot, and stuck the duct tape to my foot. Waking up, I took it all off. Lather, rinse, repeat. I did this for a few days and saw nothing except that now I had the characteristic black dots where I'd had none before, and while it was not growing bigger I couldn't see any change. I was very close to giving up on it as a complete waste of time and effort, but then I remembered all the posts that said, "Don't give up, it'll happen but you have to wait for it, " so I decided to stick with it even though it seemed foolish to me by then. Oh, how glad I am that I did! Just a few days later, after taking off the duct tape, I started scraping at it with my fingernail, and just like that razor some 20-odd years before, the whole thing lifted out of my foot, leaving a crater and a bunch of dead skin. Not knowing whether I'd gotten it all or not, I decided to keep up the banana peel for a few more days, but when I couldn't scrape anymore out of there I let it go.
In a few weeks, also gone were the layers of nasty callus that had formed around the wart but had been left behind when it came out. I just pumiced the last of that off a couple of weeks ago. No new warts, no pain, no nothing. WOW!!! How often are you faced with a looming disaster and end up getting a non-event? :)
So yeah... It really does work! I am so grateful. Thank you for sharing your experiences so freely and in such detail, because that really made the difference and kept me on track. And many many thanks to Earth Clinic for maintaining this rockin' site! Thanks!!!

If you start getting them again, try Kirk's Castille coconut body wash. The coconut is anti-fungal and rids your feet of rough skin.

My daughter has had a wart on her finger since she was 4.5 years old. We went to the Dermatologist and he froze it off. It came back triple the size. She was very embarrassed and was hiding her hand all the time. Was scared to go back to have it frozen off again. It hurt.
We read about the banana peels and we tried it. First we started off with duck tape and banana peel. After about 4 times we realized it was turning darker and darker. Finally we soaked it in vinegar and intermittently I was applying callous remover on it. I filed it off every morning a little and applied callous remover in the morning (main ingredient is glycerin) and at night duck tape and green banana. After 10 days it fell off..... So now we are just putting on green banana at nights to make sure it's all gone. We learned that the trick is THE GREENER THE BANANA THE BETTER. I found really green ones. GOOD LUCK.

I would also like to add that apple cider vinegar will help with warts. I used to have a problem with them on my hands as a child and tried everything from freezing them to burning them to over the counter brand name remedies... My parents must have spent 200 dollars trying to take care of them to no avail. So we read that apple cider vinegar applied to a cotton ball and taped or bandaged over the wart will clear it up in a matter of days. After two years of struggling with them they cleared with 3 dollars worth of acv... Just wanted to add an additional use for it :)

Try oil oregano and coconut oil. This will cure your warts with persistance. My husband went to the doctor every week for over 2 months to have his plantar's wart burned off. It never went away no matter what the doctor did. When he started this protocol I recommended to him, his warts disappeared in 2 weeks. However, he applied this mixture twice a day, everyday. You have to be very persistant, and you will be free of this problem quickly. Sue

You take the zinc orally, with food as it can upset some people's stomach. For some it is better to start with 50 mg a day, and increase it once you are used to it. Dave.

My husband had a wart on his hand for years, and he had tried freezing it off several times. Finally, I found the ACV idea, so he soaked a cotton ball in ACV, put it over the wart, and secured it with a bandaid. I believe he left it on overnight. After 2-3 treatments, it started to turn black, and finally it went away. It has now been gone for over a year.

Update from my last post. After about 2 months of treatment with ACV and cotton balls I am free of warts. It took two months because I took my time, allowing healing time and stopping treatment while on my periods. Also, because I had more than a few warts the ACV hurt after a while, and some days I chose not to deal with the darn things. But today I have no warts and it feels good to be freed from them. It has been over two months without them.

ACV worked like a charm for me after all other costly methods failed, but it hurts like crazy (an achy, stinging hurt), so if you can't put up with pain for two to three days…. Well…? Details: I had a wart on the heel of my right foot that spread and eventually became so large that it covered almost half of my heal (about the size of an American Eagle coin, without exaggeration). The wart started as a tiny little thing, then spread aggressively DURING treatment by a dermatology center. After ~$800 out of pocket for extremely painful and worthless dermatology treatments (acid, liquid nitrogen, and laser, where they numb the area first with stinging pain killer).
I began to scour the Internet for other methods. I came across this string of notes concerning the application of ACV to your warts, and decided to give it a try. I took a cotton ball and centered it on an ~4" strip of duct tape [buy only 3M duct tape… all the other brands are worthless as they do not hold to your oily skin very well], then deposited a cap full of ACV on the cotton ball and taped it over the ginormous wart area, sealing it on either side with a couple more 1" wide strips of duct tape at the same ~4" length as the one that held the ACV cotton ball. Within hours after applying this homemade gauze the area began to hurt like heck, and by the next morning my leg was throbbing with pain. I didn't care though, as I knew this was a good pain; that my immune system FINALLY had kicked into high gear to battle my wart. I downed a couple of ibuprofen to help ease the pain and kept the wart dressed like this for two days, changing my homemade gauze every 24 hours or so. By the third day, the pain began to subside a bit, so I removed the dressing. To my wonderment the wart has begun to turn a disgusting shade of green, yellow and black (just like the article I read said it would). Within a week or so the wart area dried up to all black, scabbed over and fell off. It was amazing. The area now is semi rough after it healed over, but I can live with this.
I told of this treatment to the dermatology center that I had gone to during a visit there with my young daughter for a different issue. The older Dr. that I spoke to was very interested in this method, and asked his assistant to get the details from me, which she did with pen and paper. The fact that the Dr. did not pooh-pooh this homemade remedy in the least was refreshing. The Doc said this method made perfect sense, that the acid content of the ACV was obviously enough for my body to react to it as foreign matter as it interacted with the wart area, and as such attacked the area with antibodies. The Doc said that that is really all they are trying to do with their methods… to get our own antibodies to kick in.
As a coincidence, last summer I ended up with another set of warts on my right pinky toe and the toe next to it after I injured / cut my foot. Somehow the papillomavirus (HPV) found its way to this wounded area. Again after trying to apply other methods to rid me of this wart-infected area, I finally decided to try the ACV method. I'm in my third day of treatment as of writing this letter, and again, my foot / leg aches like the dickens, but the warts are already beginning to turn black. I'll remove my homemade gauze tomorrow, and let nature take its course from there. Good luck using this method… I personally can vouch for it, but it may not work for everyone.

ACV treatment did not work on a wart I had on a corner of my lips. I applied it every night for 3 weeks, and put a bandaid on it. It grew white, and got the black spot, and part of it fell of, but then the rest wouldn't go away. Needless to say the whole thing was extremely painful. I stopped treatment after 3 weeks, and it grew back. I was pretty disappointed as I'd used Apple Cider Vinegar successfully before on a wart on my foot. I'm now trying tea tree oil, so hopefully that will work.

cold sores (herpes) can look like warts.. the corner of your mouth is a common place to get a cold sore and could explain why the Apple Cider Vinegar didn't work..

I was very open-minded as to wither or not cider vinegar would work for warts. I had one on my face (how embarrassing). I tried household vinegar but it didn't do anything at all. With the cider vinegar, however, within 4 days it was gone! Would recommend it to anyone, even those who don't believe it is possible to remove a wart within a short time (I was one of those)
