Banana Peel

My son had a planter wart on his big toe. I found the banana peel treatment more effective than the freezing method. The most effective was the application of Iodine tincture that contained 25mg/ml of potassium iodide. I applied it every night with a cotton bud. It worked incredibly fast and I literally peeled the wart off. Thanks for all the comments as the doctor I went to said it would take weeks of treatment to get rid of it.

After freezing, banana peels, doctor visits etc ACV has gotten rid of my plantar on my foot. I am very very happy I found this website! I had a huge beast on the ball of my foot that was spreading, ACV and duct tape was applied on cotton balls overnight as often as I could. The whole area got pretty fried by the ACV, but the veruca turned dark and hard, ready to be sliced off bit by bit. This process was repeated, more of the veruca was dying and able to be cut off without cutting too deep. Everybody doubted that this would work, doctors doubted it, friends doubted it - ALL I CAN SAY IS "ACV" WORKED A SMALL "MIRACLE" ON MY FOOT! Thanks to Earth Clinic :) :) :)

Dietary Changes

Over the past year, I've been eating poorly and gaining weight rapidly. Along with the uncomfortableness of excess weight, I noticed three warts on my feet: two on my left and one on my right foot. Thankfully they aren't painful. However, I've noticed that they are getting bigger and bigger. Not waiting until they got painful to do something about them, I started researching.

I had bought some OTC products which didn't really work. At the same time, I started changing my diet to include a ton of mixed greens and salads. A read a book about adding mixed greens to the diet. The author had some warts on her body and after she started drinking green smoothies daily, they fell right off.

Well, I can happily say that two of my three warts have fallen off! The third one is in an area on my foot where I can feel it, but can't bend properly to see it. It's flatter than it was and may fall off on it's own soon, too!

For the past two weeks, I've been eating a big salad for lunch every day with mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, pecans or almonds, peppers, and beans of some type - with fat free dressing. I haven't lost weight because I'm still eating junkfood at night and heavy meals for dinner. But I will change that soon.

Another popular author I was reading talked about the importance of nutrition and health. He has similar diet recommendations - eating at least one pound of raw vegetables and one pound of raw fruits (who cooks fruits.. Maybe applesauce?). As I continue eating 1lb of veggies (i.e. my salad) and 1lb of fruit daily (for breakfast), I will comment about other ailments that should hopefully go away. I have really bad skin - sometimes called chicken skin - on my arms. I'm hoping diet will help that, too.

Banana Peel

The banana peels cured my warts! I had a wart on my heel for about 9 years. Over the years I tried multiple different "cures" but nothing would get rid of it. I finally got fed up and when to a podiatrist and thought I'd leave it up to a professional. At first she prescribed Aldara, which is more expensive than liquid gold and about as effective as dog's drool. I took Zinc, Vitamin A, and Garlic along with the Aldara cream. After 3 months it was clear the Aldara and herbal medicine was doing nothing. Then the doctor recommended removing it surgically. Big mistake. I don't know if it was just a bad doctor or if the success rate of that type of surgery is just low. She cut off a hunk of flesh about the diameter of a quarter and about 1/4 inch deep. It was excruciatingly painful getting the anesthetic. Recovery took about 5 weeks until I was walking around normal. I was pretty depressed when the wart returned, even bigger than before. Then another wart appeared on my other foot. I was out a lot of money, had lots of pain, and now was worse than before. My wife found this website that recommended a banana peel. I was skeptical, thinking it sounded too easy to be true. I read a bunch of these feedback comments and decided I had nothing to lose. From Christmas 2009 to Easter 2010 I put a banana peel on both my warts every day. To my surprise, it actually worked. Both warts are completely gone now. I still can't believe it worked and as a skeptic, felt obligated to make a post about it. I'm an engineer and need hard proof before I believe something (just ask my wife). I'm sure there are others reading this thinking: "A banana peel? Right..." Please try it. You'll be glad you did.

Supplies you'll need:

- roll of duct tape (standard sized roll is fine)
- sharp knife
- sandwich baggies
- rubber band
- bananas

Here's what you do:

- Every morning after you dry off from the shower, cut off a small piece of peel the size of your wart. - Take the sandwich bag and put it over the end of the banana and seal it off with the rubber band. This keeps your banana and it's peel fresher longer. A green banana seems to work best. When it gets too ripe, it doesn't seem to work as well. - Tear off a piece of duct tape that's roughly 1" by 1", or big enough to entirely cover the wart with overlap. - Put the peel with side that touches the banana onto your wart. - Put the tape over the top of the peel, firmly pressing the tape into your skin so it seals the peel onto your foot and keeps peel juice from escaping. - Put your sock on and enjoy your day. - At night, leave the duct tape on. If it comes off with your sock, tape it back on. - In the morning, pull it off. The peel will be black. Wash the wart in the shower and dry it off before repeating the cycle. - Your wart should only see the light of day for the short time that you are in the shower and drying it off. - Once the skin starts to look a little callous our dead, use an emery board or nail file to file the dead skin off. It took my wart about a month before I did this, but I had a huge wart that was older then our oldest son, so yours may go quicker. You can also use Compound W to get rid of this skin. You only need to do this step about once every couple weeks. - Eventually, the wart will disappear. Along the way, you can tell progress is being made because it will no longer hurt when you firmly press on the wart.

Thanks to those who took the time to recommend the banana peel. I'm still not a big believer in home remedies, but this worked for me.

Banana Peel

I has a plantar wart on my foot appeared about 3 months back. In fact initially I didnt know wt is it, gradually when the pain started coming I consulted an idiot doctor who said it is a corn and u have to do a surgery to remove it. The surgery was too painful and I had to live with the bandage for 1.5 months more before the flush and new skin came. The sadest part is after couple of weeks of healing of the surgical wound a cluster of warts appeared near to the old wart. For past few weeks I am in real depression and desperately surfing to find a real cure for this. After reading so many testimonials regarding banana peel I am going to try it today onwards. I have a small doubt regarding the application, after putting the banana peel on the wart and covering it with duct tape is it ok if I wash my foot any time during the day? will reverse the effect of banan peel? is there any problem if I use water to wash my foot with the peel & duct tape on my foot? Please reply, Jithu

I am going to try the banana peel for flat warts on my hand. I have nothing to use. Thanks to all.

One other tip. My Father had just put duct tape on a wart on the back of his hand, A tall wart type. It fell of in 2 weeks.

I am now trying the banana peel. When I used just the duct tape as suggested by someone - my wart exploded into several warts instead of just one :(

I had this nasty wart on the bottom of my foot for about 5 months. It was driving me absolutely crazy because it wouldn't go away, no matter what I tried. I tried saran wrap, duct tape, Compound-W, Slow acting acid (from the doctor), and even had a podiatrist surgically remove it (It came back 2 days later, even worse! ). So then I was searching for a remedy and I found two options ACV and Banana Peels. Since I am allergic to bananas, ACV was my only choice. I got a bottle of ACV from the local health food store, then some Cotton Balls (pure cotton, not the synthesized ones). I scrubbed the wart lightly with a pumice stone to remove the callous on top. I soaked the cotton ball in the ACV and then placed it on top of my foot. I put a band-aid on top of the cotton, to keep it in place. Then I used band-aid wraps to keep the band-aid in place and then cover my foot with a sock. I did this every day for about a week and a half, only removing the dressing when I showered. Then after the shower, I would repeat above steps. The wart will raise up, it will be swollen and tender. On the last day, remove all dressing and let your foot air out for about 4 hours. This allows all the liquid to evaporate from the foot. Then I went to bed, with only a band-aid (no sock, dressings, or ACV soaked cotton balls). The next day the wart was red and flattened. I had a follow-up appointment the next day, so I continued to cover the wart with a band-aid (again no more ACV). When I went to the podiatrist, he said that the wart was completely dead and he proceeded to remove the dead wart. ACV truly cured my wart. The only downside is that all the skin around your wart will become pruned and start to peel. I used a pumice stone to remove all the dead skin, as needed. Sometimes your foot will callous over (it didn't happen every day) so then it is important to use the stone, to allow the ACV to sink in. But I definitely recommend using the ACV, because it helped me when I was running out of options.

The apple cider vinegar works. My 12 year old son had some around his fingernail. The derm said it would be very painful to remove those so we'll start with the ones on the back of his hand first. He was going to freeze them and he did. But they grew back. Then the last thing he said to do was to have surgery. We did not like the sound of that.

So I found the ACV remedy. I actually put it on the wart that had been on his hand the longest. I bought special bandages called Nexum, I believe. They are waterproof and have a clear thin wrap and the cotton in the middle. It worked perfectly. I applied the AC directly to the cotton on the bandage and stuck it to the wart. My son wore it all day at school then when he got home we took it off and it was weird looking. Almost like it was porous. See through and getting black. I let him air it out that night and in the morning we did it again. That day he got home and when he came out of the shower that evening he ran to me and said look dad. It was peeling off. In the morning it was gone. There is a piece of wart still in his bed somewhere, could never find it. Gross but the wart is gone. YAHOO! AMEN! DONKA SHIN! HORALE!

Two summers ago, I developed a plantars wart on one foot. Didn't know what it was at first...went to a podiatrist and he shaved it off. It came back within a month and I was afraid of going back as I had read online about removals where they leave scars and the warts come back anyway. I did the Apple Cider Vineger and duct tape just as you said. I have to say that when you put the cotton ball dipped in ACV on the newly cleaned skin, you will feel like you just shot your foot with a shotgun!! But it worked...took maybe 2-3 weeks. Wart was completely gone and has not come back. No doctor's bills, no scarring.

Eggplant worked for us. Years ago one of the preteens had 3 huge warts on her hand. Freezing twice didn't help, the doctor said the virus was too resistant. After praying to my Lord Jesus Christ for some inexpensive natural remedy, we heard about using thin slices out of a fresh eggplant. So I applied a fresh slice from the middle of our purple friend with masking tape, nightly for about 1 1/2 weeks and the warts dissolved to tiny size. The girl wanted to stop treatment so we did but the warts continued to dissolve on their own!

Later I thought I would try this on a plantars wart on my sons foot and it worked, taking about 2 weeks. Hopefully this works for someone else. When trying, use fresh slice every night.

With GMO veggies, don't know if results are the same now. Thank you Jesus for guidance!

I found that sliced raw potato works the same way. I have had great results through the years using this method. Our family seemed to be prone to warts.

Abbaluv, did you cut a thin slice of potato, did you apply it only at night, did you tape it and where did you have the warts? I have a very flat wart on my hand which I can't get rid of and it irritates me but I get fed up of all the taping so I stop. I have tried ACV, banana peal, bicarb.... Frozen it at home, at the doctor's, you name it! I also have a few little ones on my leg. I would love to find an easy way of getting rid of them, if possible internally because all the taping drives me mad! There was a time when I slept with quite a few bits of tape on my leg, ridiculous and nothing seemed to help!

I had a wart on my pinky finger for 4 years. I used the freeze off wart remover kits you can buy at the store and they got rid of it, but it kept coming back with a vengeance. My sister mentioned this website and I decided to try the ACV cure. I soaked a cotton ball in ACV and secured it to the wart with a bandaid before bed. I'm not going to lie, it hurt really bad...but I figured that's how I knew it was working. The only way I can describe the pain is, it was like someone was trying to drive a phillip's head screwdriver through my pinky finger. In the morning, I would remove the cotton ball and bandaid and repeat at night. The hard, rough bump came off in a few days, but that sucker was deep! I'm a "picker" so I dug the black part (seed) out and continued with the ACV for a week. It's been 6 months and it has stayed completely gone. Thanks earthclinic!

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

I have had a few warts for a number of years. A while ago I read here about the treatment with ACV and decided to try. As it didn't go fast enough I tried white, normal vinegar. I applied it to a pad and then taped it to my leg. Everything appeared well, once after my bath I saw that the top layer of the skin was pealing off so as we were going on a 10 day trip the next day I decided to apply it once more and leave it as usual during the night. The next day my leg turned black, not only the wart but all the skin around it and it became more and more nasty. I was worried to death I have to say. It hurt and I couldn't touch it at all. It took a couple of weeks to heal. Now the wart is gone but there is still a bruise on the skin around it far bigger than the wart was. I hope that it will heal..... Bottom line, the white vinegar was maybe far too strong so be careful. I had two other on one hand, smaller ones, did the same treatment but had a smaller wound and I have to say that the warts are still there. I will try again but only with ACV.

ACV cured by warts. I am 55. I had this weird bump above my ankle bone, which didn't hurt, so I just left it alone. Within a year, that bump began to spread up my leg about an inch or two into what seemed like a small rash of warts...about 2 inches long or so. I suffered through the summer without pedicures (I was embarrassed). And finally, during the fall when we were no longer showing ankles, I decided I wasn't going through another summer with this.

I began to apply ACV by dousing a cotton ball or pad in ACV and taping it on my ankle area with medical tape. I usually tried doing this twice a day, but sometimes would forget, and sometimes not at all. But I kept this up religiously for about two months, as I noticed the original big bump getting smaller.

Then, I had to go on a trip and completely forgot about the ACV. Miraculously, over the course of the next few months or so, all the bumps went away on their own completely, without me even paying attention or noticing really.

This is the second time ACV worked for a wart. Another time I had one on my toe, and I kept up the ACV treatment described above for same amount of time. This time the wart turned black. Then I let it dry out and scab up completely without applying any ACV. And eventually, about two months later, I just peeled it off.

These warts all happened within the last few years. Haven't had one since.

Onions

I have been fighting nail fungus for about 25 years. I have tried all of the prescription meds. Penlac, which is very expensive, is the only one that sometimes works. The others did not work at all and can cause problems with the liver. I cannot wait to try the ACV treatment.

Regarding warts. My daughter had a couple when she was very young. We went to a couple of dermatologists who used the usual treatments that hurt her and did not work. I looked for a natural remedy on-line. I found an onion remedy that works everytime.

Take a small bit of onion (about the size of the wart)
crush it and place it on the wart
use tape or a bandaid to keep it on for about 24 hrs.
when you take it off, you will see that the onion actually eats through the wart and burns it off.

NOTE: only put enough onion on to cover wart or your healthy skin can get hurt.
Good luck to all
You will get a scab and when it heals the wart should be gone.

My two younger boys had planter warts that they got while doing martial arts. I took the youngest one to the doctor who sent me to another doctor and he recommended cutting them out, which I agreed to do, but oh did it look painful. It left a huge hole in his foot. A year or so later the older one complained of his feet always hurting and when I looked at his feet saw huge clusters of planter warts. By this time someone had told me about their great success with olive leaf extract. I bought some and had him take 2 capsules 3 times a day. All the warts were gone in less than a month.I think he told me warts are viral and need to be fought from the inside out. Wonder if anyone heard about this before ,but it worked for us.
