Posted by Dianna (Austin, TX) on 01/05/2009
i live in texas and have diabetes. we have loquat trees growing all over our property. several times mexican people have come to us and asked if they could have some of the loquat leaves and said that if you make a tea with them that it lowers blood sugar. now i want to try this and can't find anyone who knows anything about it and also no real information on the internet.
does anyone know the dosage, etc. of loquat leaves for diabetes?
has anyone even heard of this besides me and the people i can no longer find?
thanks.

We boil with hot water, and keep it in 1-2 litre bottle in the fridge and drink through out the day
I didn't know it is good for diabetes.

Wow! And to think I had a loquat tree right outside the door of my house all this time! I've tried this and it really works! It also tastes great! Recently I have had allergies and not even insulin would lower my blood sugar. Finally I remembered about the loquat leaves and made tea... My blood sugar came down and my allergies even felt better!!! Funny, usually what you need is right close by - but I can get so caught up looking for a 'cure' that I don't notice what is in my own front yard!!! Thanks for posting this and for this website. In light and love
