Can you take the powdered for that's on the supermarket shelves that you would ordinarily use for cleaning
Australia
PatD,
In their description sheet it is described as:
https://www.pascoes.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Bare-Essentials-Borax-ANZ.pdf
>>> ' Ingredients CAS No Conc, % TWA (mg/m3 ) STEL (mg/m3 ) Sodium tetraborate decahydrate 1303-96-4 pure * 5 not set ' <<<
In this link, the term "Sodium tetraborate decahydrate" is one of the names of borax :
https://www.britannica.com/science/borax-chemical-compound
So if their ingredients are what they say they are, it is borax.

The label states it contains 990g/kg Borax and comes in a 500g container.
Is there anyone living in Australia, who has posted on this website that knows of, or has used, this particular product internally.
I would be most grateful for any responses.
Thanks, Cher

Cher, Harper's powdered Borax is available at IGA (at least in Qld.) about $5 for 500g. I now buy it in bulk from Blants Wellbeing and Lifestyle, Earlwood, NSW. I take it according to Ted's protocol, 1/8th tsp. in a litre of water, 4 days a week. I believe there are two deposit sources in the world, one in China and one in Turkey. Hope this helps.

Hi Everyone, thanks for the info on here.
I have been looking for Borax in Oz lately. Dr Klinghardt advised in his seminar in Sydney recently to dip your pinky finger in Borax each day and eat it (something he says an aussie naturopath got him onto). He also said to put in your laundry if you want to absorb through the skin. He said Boron supplements are not as good.
The lady at Woolworths checked on their system and said they are not carrying it at the moment (she said they had been before). I found it at Coles in laundry section hiding at the back of the shelf, the packer in the isle was asking me why so many people had been asking for it!
So the Coles one is the Bare Essentials brand. Hard to get it open! Says it comes from China so I hope that is ok. It says nothing about anything added or level of purity. But does not seems to have perfumes etc.
I had otherwise heard the Blant's website is a good place to go.
I have heard in Europe it is extremely difficult to get, bigpharma/ EU has got it shut down.
Best wishes.

I also today looked for Borax in Bunnings, 1kg for nearly $10 now named GlitzGreen. It had similar info on it to the Bare Essentials. Both are made in China and could be through same distributor in Oz ie both say Pascoes in WA...Due to pollution issues and less regulation in China I do hope it is pure... Think I would prefer the stuff from Turkey?
As I have heard more about the BE brand I think I will use that orally anyway. Keep the GG brand for bath. Or look at Blants online. Sorta feel like I should stock up on it as they seem to regularly clamp down on it somehow.

I bought some Glitz Green fro Bunnings today (New Years Eve 2017) and the staff wanted to know what I was going to use it for. Mmmmm. Maybe it is time to stock up. I'd like to be able to get 20 Mules from U.S.A, or something from Turkey. China has a very bad reputation with exported things.
Hope this helps.
Hi I have used internally the Harper's borax, found at coles and iga. Have to look very hard in the laundry aisle. I now buy from blants online in bulk, also their food grade Epsom salts and Himalayan salt and msm. Like many of you, I realised I should probably bulk up before the benefits are recognised mainstream and we will not be able to purchase. For ordering 40 kg interstate the delivery cost was very reasonable.

Hi, I have just ordered Natural Pure Borax 900g – Blants from www.blants.com.au
Is this the one I can take for Osteoarthritis by mixing with water (1 teaspoon Borax powder per litre of water as a solution and then a teaspoon or two per day in a drink). It says its Pure so I think 100% Borax without any other ingredients? Still a bit nervous on taking this internally...
Hi Garth,
The product you linked to is "Sodium Borate" and sodium borate is another name for Borax. Good luck with whatever you are using it for!

Blants is a godsend for their true health products, I feel very secure using their borax salts internally, and their Epsom salts are food grade too.

I bought Borax today at Bunnings in the cleaning section. Borax hasn't been available for number of years but it might enjoy a comeback. According to the label it is imported from china, contains 100% borax and has no further additives.

Hi All, I have been getting ready for taking Borax in Australia. First I was thinking of getting it from USA but delivery is over $60. I then followed your comments and got it from Bunnings. The problem is that Hovex Borax from Bunning has only 980g/kg of Borax the rest is other staff like deodorants etc. I then went to Woollies and got it as Bare Essentials Borax small container. Both products are made by Pascoes. I knew Hovex Borax has 98% of Borax and other chemicals which I would not like to drink but I did not know what Bare Essentials had so I asked the company to send me the Material Safety Data Sheet. I learned that Borax Bare Essentials is Chemical Formula:B4-O7. 2Na. 10H2-OChemical name/ingredient DISODIUM TETRABORATE DECAHYDRATE 100%. I then asked for Material Safety Data Sheet from the most popular Borax taken by most people in USA 20 MULE Team Borax and compared the ingredients etc. Chemical Formula:Na2B4O7·10H2O. Chemical name/synonyms:Sodium tetraborate decahydrate, disodium tetraborate decahydrate, borax decahydrate, Borax 10 Mol 99%. I was not terribly good at chemistry but it looks to me the same. I can only tell you this: Borax Bare Essentials is even better because contains 100% of Borax and 20 MULE has 99% of Borax and 1% of something they did not describe. Please be careful, after my experience with colonics with Myrrh I learned that taking things easy is important. I am also impatient due to the years of suffering but this time I took my time and it paid off. Good luck, I am drinking my first liter of water with borax today. After drinking lemon and BS for 3 weeks I also noticed that my skin is cleaner- less oil coming out etc. I think I will get there with this Candida.

Hi fellow Earthclinic readers. I would like to follow up on some older (2009-2010) entries about availability of Borax in Australia. I live in Tasmania and have searched IGA, Woolworth, Bunnings and some hardware store and no luck. Some staff knew exactly what I wanted but stores no longer sell. This could be because of Tasmania's isolation, could also be across the board in Australia. The only source I finally found was at a waste management firm in Melbourne that sells it for A$ 4 per kilo. I just ordered 2 kg and was told that product is pure and has no added chemicals or fillers, but could not obtain a chemical analysis. Does anyone know about or use this product? At present day what is the availability elsewhere in Australia. I am regularly in Melbourne and have friends in Adelaide, so if there is a better source could you pls let me know. Blessings of health to all readers.

I think Borax has been removed (banned?) from normal retails sales in Australia.
I was able to get a 25kg bag from an agricultural supplier ('Landmark') as it is used on farms for various purposes including as a fertilizer supplement. When they asked me what I used it for I just said to control ants (it clogs their digestive system and kills them very effectively).
They gave me an MSDS (Materials Safety Data Sheet) which was very informative and I paid $28 for the bag.
No probs. The product was "Actibor 11", and it is over 99.9% pure borax decahydrate (11% Boron). There is also "Actibor 15" which is the Pentahydrate version (15% Boron).
This is the product. It is made in Malaysia: www.activemicrofert.com.my/products_agriculture_actibor11.html

Lil,
They have these on Ebay Australia :
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/334076566228?epid=675127949&hash=item4dc883dad4:g:0JwAAOSwQVlcijTE
They list the ingredient as :
Disodium Tetrborate Decahydrate
They misspelled the word Tetraborate. I noticed another offer had the same misspelling.
