I have High Blood Pressure and was taking Atenolol/Chlorthalidone (100-25mg Tab) for some time now. What got me started on ACV was that my doctor told me that my cholesterol numbers were high and that medication would be the key. I refused because I did not need another drug in my system. I got down to the last of the HBP pills and had to wait for more funds at that time to get more. I panicked but prayed about my situation. I had pounding headaches from no longer being on the meds. ACV (with the 'Mother') was put in my path because of the cholesterol issue so I began taking 2 tbsps with a full glass of water twice a day (began 12-09-16 day one). I then noticed that the headaches subsided over night. I was led to go on the web to research about HBP and found Earth Clinic. I found it positive and uplifting and there were people like myself who wanted to 'heal thyself'. I am now on day two of the regimen taking ACV 2tbsp with a full glass of water (I use a straw and it tastes ok) 3x per day (upon rising after prayer, midday and before I go to sleep). I meditate and walk around 1 hour per day; then I do light yoga daily. Everything positive and healing I focus on and do. My doctor's appointment is in January and I will see what happens. In the meantime, I will continue the regimen, find a reliable BP machine to keep up my readings and pray as well. I am also keeping a tally of my regimen to share in the future with all here.

I read one of the reader's posts (thank the reader) and it talked about beta blockers. The meds I was taking has a beta blocker in it and it blocks calcium from being absorbed in the body ( we need calcium! ). The Chlorthalidone makes you potty and you flush out Potassium (we need that too! ). These drugs are like 2 edge swords sort to speak; they are supposed to help you but hinder you down the road. I am so glad I have the gumption to do research and not buy into the pharmaceutical companies hype. One billion dollars is earned in that industry and people are getting sicker than ever. Enough of the soapbox for now. I will keep the community updated and thank you all. Be Blessed!

I am a 67 years old female. I am on three bp medication a day. I take my blood pressure everyday and it averages between 127-145/77-82. I consider this high and try to monitor by taking Apple Cider Vinegar with honey.

It does help to lower it. When you are adding baking soda to it, I would say be careful. I have acid reflux and have to be careful about the intake of acidity. Never go off or change your medication because you feel better. There could be other underlining issues.

If you are on blood pressure medications, follow your doctor instructions and don't assume that ACV will do the trick. Be careful with self diagnosis.

I have recently started drinking the organic apple cider vinegar w/mother and have started to see results within a few weeks (numbers changing from 140/104 to 134/97) better, but not as good as others have seen (I am a vegetarian who eats pretty healthy and exercise regularly). My question is as to whether or not the ACV supplements works as well as the liquid, as I really do not enjoy the taste of the ACV, even with organic honey and juices for flavor. Is one better than the other or would a combination be best (alternating between the liquid and the supplements)?

ACV and HBP: I have been dizzy for two days and not sure why. I took ACV and got temporary relief. I went to the Urgent Care due to no hospitalization and had BP taken 138/80. Nurse said it was normal, only my lower number has never been higher than 70. In the morning I drank some ACV in water and felt OK then went about my day. Around 4:30 p.m. Dizziness got worse and I almost passed out. Just barely made it home driving about 4 miles. After lying down for about an hour I took more vinegar and now I feel better. I guess it works. I will continue until I see my Natural medicine professional. Thank you for the confirmation. Any comments are welcome.

Hi my name is Diane and I think this is a great website. It is a blessing that people can help & share some the most important things in life which is health. Please email me at anytime [email protected]. I stay in Houston, TX. I've just started the ACV but my blood pressure is very high when I wake up in the morning. 160/110. I am taking 3 tablespoons of ACV with a half of teaspoon of baking soda with one pack of stevia in a half of glass of water at bedtime. In the morning I'm taking 3 tablespoons of ACV with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and a half of teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a half glass of water. I like the cinnamon because it helps keep my sugar down. The first morning dose lowers my blood pressure to 130/88 and that good for me. In additions, I am taking Michael's Blood Pressure Factors but I think it has stop working because my blood pressure has been on the rise since July and I've been searching for a natural remedy. High blood pressure runs in my family and I stop taken medication a year ago. I'm 48 and my body is going through a change. I walk 2miles everyday and I watch what I eat. I try to drink a green soy supplement in the morning and eat fruit. For lunch I eat a tuna sandwich or green salads and for dinner I eat soups, salads fish, chicken, or beans. I need help now, I'm gaining weight and my blood pressure is as higher than ever and I need to lose at least 20 pounds. I'm weighing 150 and seeking ways to keep the pounds off. Also, seeking referring doctors in Houston, TX that can help.

High Blood Pressure and Vinegar. I can't say yet as fact; for just finding the news about possable alternatives to prescribed medication for the treatment of hbp: using vinegar to actually work. In the past month I have had an insatiable appetite for vinegar of all kinds mainly to marinate the other craving of veggies. I have not payed much attention to the status of my affliction but I can certainly tell you that I've had extreme high blood pressure since the age of 17. Well after reading this article I ran down out of my office and hooked myself up the the ole' BP monitering system just to see if ther was any validity to this. Holy sheeet; I can't believe my eyes or the machine; it read 130/78. This is way not normal at least for me. my normal BP this time of day is 160/105. I'll start monitoring on a daily basis and keep up the regiment and keep you advised. marc

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE REMEDIES: I just came across this site early this morning. My father has hbp and High cholesterol, reading all of these comments made me excited. I went out and bought him a bottle of the recommended acv (with the mother). I have been giving him 3 tbl spoons of acv with 1 tbl spoon of honey and about 3-5 tbl spoons of warm water, 3 times today. This is just the first day and he is taking it with his hbp meds. His meds are not working and he hates doctors, he thinks they are a rip-off. I'm glad he is trying the acv. I'm going to wait 1 week before I post again to let you all know how it goes. His average blood pressure is about 200/118. I took his pressure a few hours after giving him the acv and it was 148/105. I don't know if it was his meds, the acv or a mix of both that got him that low. but tonight he was back up to 198/114.

I'm trying to lower my blood pressure without using medication. I made a tonic using 1 cup apple cider vinegar, 1 cup honey, and 5 garlic cloves. I take 2 tbsp in the morning with juice. Initial results were almost immediate and dramatic. Within days my blood pressure dropped from 150/90 to consistently less than 140/85 . I was thrilled, but the lower readings only lasted three days. Now, three weeks later, my blood pressure is frequently back at 150/90. My diet, exercise, etc have all been reasonably consistent throughout the period. Sure wish I knew what caused the good results and subsequent reversal. Natural variation? Tonic aging? Me aging?

and by noon... I was shivering again and it lasted all day. So... does anyone think it might be the ACV? Might it be too drastic a change? I know it certainly is helping with the cleansing..
