Hydrogen Peroxide, Glue

Just like thousands of other's I had 3 fillings fallout which I attribute to drinking "Mountain Dew" which at the time I had no idea it cause's teeth to lose emanel and even split or break off.!

and now just like others I have no insurance to pay the exorbitant fee's of dentist's and I knew, and felt the pain and abcess had to go ! "But how"??

Well, for the past 3 months I've had "no pain" and I filled the lost fillings with "no pain"! For the fast relief of the pain and to stop the abcess that I had I took the cotton off of a cotton swab and soaked it in 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, and put it in the cavity where the pain and abcess was, until all the pain was gone, which wasn't very long !After that, every time I shave or use bathroom I swish a small amount of HP around in my mouth(this kill's all the germs and bacteria in your mouth) "BUT WHAT ABOUT THE LOST FILLING'S?"

I tried some "DEN TEMP" and all it did is fall out after the first meal I had! But I got a small bottle of
gorilla glue AND put about 6-8 drops on a plastic surface, let it set until it started to harden and took a tooth pick and put some of it on the end of the tooth pick, then applied it into the cavities until each was filled,(I also found the cavity doesn't need to be dry!)it sticks just fine and I eat with the GG in and I still swish the Hydrogen Peroxide and My abcess has stopped and "I'm in "NO PAIN AT ALL"!

I fully realize I'll need treatment at some future point when I can afford it. "BUT FOR NOW I'M HOLDING MY OWN!"

Red Clover Tea

Tooth Abcess

Try Red Clover tea. One teaspoon of Red Clover in a strainer or infuser, pour boiling water over it in a cup to cover, steep at least 7 minutes. One cup twice a day; after the pain dies down take one cup once a day. This one is very effective. I held off the pain of an abcessed tooth for 5 months with just Red Clover. When it was finally pulled the tooth turned out to be the biggest honkin' double abcess I'd ever seen and the surgeon was pretty impressed, too. I would have kept the tooth and mounted it, but it's illegal to give that to the patient in the state of Minnesota. When I had the tooth pulled, I used no antibiotics, just 12 garlic capsules and 3 dropperfuls of Olive Leaf per day. Look ma, no infection!

Honey

I took a couple of teaspoons of raw honey in my mouth and kept swishing it around for 20 minutes (procedure same as oil pulling), and the spat it out and rinsed my mouth. Voila! Toothache gone immediately!!

Turmeric, Salt, Clove, Garlic

Fingz, dont pull out the tooth. Try oil pulling for a few days with coconut oil. It will heal your tooth. Decide whether you want to pull out your tooth only after you have oil-pulled with coconut oil for a few days.

Turmeric, Salt, Clove and Garlic cured my abscess

2 years ago my former dentist did a half-assed job on my root canal. I have had problems ever since, with infections every few months. A few days ago I woke up in incredible pain, the worst I'd ever experienced. Immediately went to the dentist and he put me on antibiotics, but there seemed to be no solution to the immediate pain I was in. Took ibuprofen, nothing. Tried vicadin, zilch.

So I did a little research and finally got some relief by putting a chewed clove right next to the infection - instantly the pain began to ease up, but the swelling would not go down. I tried gargling with listerine, using warm compresses, but to little effect.

Finally I hit the jackpot.

1 cup of warm water
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric

I gargled/swished with this for literally 10 seconds, and the boil just opened up and all the garbage literally shot right out - didn't even need to apply any pressure. With the abscess drained I applied a slice of fresh garlic to the opening, which stung like hell, but it has also helped the infection and reduced swelling. I could actually chew food again!

I returned to the dentist today and he was astonished at how much this thing has cleared up. Granted there is no saving the tooth now, and I will definitely need to get it pulled. But I am thankful to have found relief in the interim and hope this remedy helps some other poor soul out there.

Nobody deserves this type of pain!

Oil of Oregano

I had what I believed was a tooth abcess a few years back. My gum was very sore and if my toothbrush even lightly touched that area it was verrry painful. At the time I didn't have dental insurance.

I simply put 3-4 drops of Oil of Oregano in about 1/4 cup of warm water and swished it around in my mouth; particularly on the side where the abscess/soreness was. I did this several times a day. In a few days I was pain free. In between rinses I also used my finger to dab a bit on my gum, but it does burn some.

I recommended this remedy to other people and it worked for them too. Make sure the Oil of Oregano you purchase comes from the Mediterranean; the kind the cures isn't the same kind of oregano you buy for cooking.

Tea Tree Oil

tea tree oil: This is a remedy that works for me....Just soak a tiny bit of cotton wool( about a cotton bud sized piece,) and tuck it under the gum in the infected area, replace ever hour or so. The abcess will diminish after a day.You are not supposed to swallow TTO so avoid this by spitting out into a tissue- but its not fatal.- Definitely the lesser of 2 evils.

Ozone
Posted by CeeCee (San Diego, CA) on 05/06/2009

calcified tooth root abcess:

Having never heard of oil pulling, I tried a very expensive alternative method to try and save an upper molar which had a calcified root that was infected and could not successfully be root canaled. The gum was sore and spongy. I signed many release forms before taking injections of ozone in the gums around the tooth. This was preceeded by ozone gas in the mouth, ears and nose and followed by vitamin injections. Six treatments a week apart was recommended. It was painful and painful to pay for-$500 per treatment, but the gum was no longer spongy and painful by the end of the treatment. It was recommended to retreat in six months or so. Unfortunately the ozone dried my saliva glands horribly. And after three plus months there is no improvement in my saliva glands, leaving me with horrible dry mouth.

Now I feel twinges of mild pain in that tooth area as well. I am trying the oil pulling as we speak and we see what happens.

Has anyone else tried similar ozone treatments or does anyone have natural remedies for dry mouth. Thank you. CeeCee

Olive Leaf

About a week ago I ate some ice cream and developed a sinus infection. ( I expected I would since I am aware of the connection. But I did it anyway) Right away I started using cayenne pepper as I often do when I begin to feel something coming on. My sinuses drained fine and I thought I was getting better so I went out and partied it up. Smoking and doing things I should not have. Eventually I ended up with a tooth abscess which is no surprise since I have some major dental issues. I suspect that during my sinus drainage and a night out my body couldn't handle it all and then my poor tooth got infected.

Finally I stayed away from all the no no's. Sweets, smoking, alcohol ect.. I stayed with the cayenne pepper and eventually started to use garlic as well since the cayenee didn't seem to be doing all that great. It helped my sinuses tremendously but couldn't touch the infection in my jaw/gum/tooth. Once I started using garlic I was able to feel relief temporarily. I even tried tilting my head in a way as to allow the garlic oils and stuff to absorb into the tooth and gum. The infection was on my upper jaw. This seemed to help but barely, and garlic is hard to take a lot of. Plus I didn't wanna mix too much cayenne pepper and garlic as I understand them both to be natural anti-coagulants, and to much of that may not be safe.

I came back online for a new hope and came across Olive Leaf Extract. I went to a health food store called Better Health and purchased some. On mine it says:

150mg Olive Leaf Standardized Extract (18% oleuropein equal to 27mg.
150mg Olive Leaf Powder

I'm not sure how much the Olive Leaf Powder matters but the standardized extract with the oleuropein is what I understand to be the anti-biotic, anti-viral, and anti-parasitic portion. From research I gathered that olive leaf extract is non-toxic which I've yet to confirm with a reputable source. But I have been taking one capsule every 2 to 4 hours and sometimes for two days. All the swelling has disappeared, my sinus have been draining like crazy, the pain in my jaw/tooth/gums is gone and I have had more energy. It is not completely gone as I can still feel discomfort in that area but after only two days I am amazed. I have had abscesses like this in the past and I know how impossible they can seem. I have always had to get my tooth extracted in order to feel relief but not this time.

One downside is that my urine PH became very low half way through the second day. So low that it burned when I went to urinate. I didn't bother checking the ORP, but now I wish I had since olive leaf extract is suppose to be a good antioxidant and I'm left curious as to how it may affect the ORP of my urine. I suspect it would have a good ORP. I still don't know why my PH was so low. Olive leaf extract is a natural broad spectrum antibiotic and I understand that antibiotics can affect PH but I didn't think it would be like this. My PH was in the 4's.

I began drinking distilled water with a PH of about 8 and did the Lemon Bicarbonate Alkalizing drink as that is my favorite and seems to work well. Checked my PH again a couple hours later and it was 7.2.

Also two things to take note of: Olive Leaf Extract may lower blood pressure and/or glucose levels. I didn't notice much change in my blood pressure but if you are on blood thinners or you are diabetic this may not be for you.

Some other things I did to help the tooth abscess:

2 Drops Clove Oil on Q-Tip applied at base of infected tooth. I also use the Q-tip to kinda brush against my gums next to the tooth to use whatever Clove Oil is left on the Q-Tip.

3 Drops Clove Oil + 9 Drops Almond Oil applied to your skin on your cheek that is closest to the infected tooth. I use the Almond Oil because the Clove Oil is very potent and may irritate the skin.

50/50 - Hydrogen Peroxide / Water used as a mouthwash.

1 Sinus Rinse using a Netipot

Hope this helps someone. I love this website and it has helped me many times!

Turmeric

a great painkiller and infection fighter for tooth/gum/abcess pain is turmeric for $4.00 or less in your local grocerie store in the spices section. I was amazed when I used it how it took away the pain and inflammation. just a teaspoon in a bowl with just enough PURIFIED WATER to make it the consistency of wet mud. You can use a cotton ball or a small cut piece of cotton cloth with a blob of wet turmeric ( careful- it is what mustard stains are made of), and place it on the tooth so it can seep between the teeth and to the abcess, the taste isn't that bad, especially when you can't sleep or anything w/o pain. If you are lying down, don't forget to take out the cotton ball/cloth before you fall asleep. Also, rinsing prior with PURIFIED WATER, 1 teaspoon of h202 (drugstore kind ok), and 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda ( organic-about $3.57 a lb. bag but goes very far when using small amounts. I don't care what Arm and Hammer says, they put something in their bs because organic is MUCH more body friendly). Have the turmeric ready to go in before you rinse because it can be painful if the abcess is bad but the turmeric is also a painkiller. When I think of all the times in my life I used oragel just to cry myself to sleep-ughhh! As usual, how long it takes will depend on the severity of the infection but it sure worked for me. MANY BLESSINGS TO YOU.

Sesame Oil, Clove Oil, Charcoal

I had an infection in my gums and it caused extreme pain and i couldn't sleep. I made a paste of sesame oil, clove oil, and activated charcoal. I placed the paste in a small piece of cheesecloth and placed it in my mouth next to the infected gum. I slept with it overnight. The next morning, the infection was gone!!! So Amazing. No more waiting to get into the dentist for an appointment or prescription meds. Activated Charcoal also works great if you are planning on drinking alcohol. I take one capsule for every drink consumed and have no hangover in the morning. Amazing stuff!!

Wisdom Tooth Infection Remedies

I right now have a wisdom tooth ( lower ) that is now infected. I don't have any dental insurance so I have to resort to my knowledge of self-treatment with what I know to work naturally and well. I was in TERRIBLE pain, couldn't eat, couldn't sleep. I attacked the pain and the infection that had by now moved into my lower jaw area and starting to swell with multiple herbs. Every 30 or 40 minutes or so I used either a salt rinse, clove oil applied directly to the infected area, garlic applied to the infected area or a mouth rinse with 3% hydrogen peroxide. I did this for about 4 or 5 hours starting at about 7:00p.m. After about an hour or 2, the infected area started to feel better. About an hour before going to bed, I had chicken soup with chopped garlic bits added. Right before bed , I made a hydrogen peroxide/distilled water solution to drink down. I used 35% food grade ( you shouldn't use 3% from drug store, that's for rinsing your mouth ). Normal preparation is 10 drops peroxide to distilled water ( you have to use distilled water!! ). I used 25 drops because I was fighting an infection.

Do not have anything in your stomach when using food grade peroxide/distilled water. Don't eat from 1 to 3 hours before or after using peroxide/water solution. After doing all of this, I felt much better. The swelling was down and the pain was virtually gone. I kept the routine up for another 5 or so days to make sure that the infection was gone. Hope this helps everybody!!

Turmeric, Cayenne

I just want to report back on some of the treatments for tooth abcess.

I had a bad crown that would bother me occasionally, but I would manage it with a mixture of half baking soda, half seasalt which I put into my blender and ground to a fine powder. You use it as toothpaste. This is an old Edgar Cayce formula for teeth and gum health, and it works great.

Anyway, it flaired up and the salt/soda combination couldn't stop it from progressing. I unfortunately was just changing from one dental plan to another so I fell between the cracks and had to wait a week to get some treatment. The pain was becoming unbearable! Anyway, I was reminded of your website so I looked it up and decided to try the slippery elm, charcoal, clove oil, baking yeast paste.

By this time it was appearent that the abcess was at the root of the tooth and was begining to push the tooth up and it seemed that the paste was unable to really penetrate into the jawbone to effect it...and the pain was getting worse! I read further in that article and the gentleman also recommened taking Turmeric and I remembered that it was ideal for boils also. So I thought, what is an abcess, but a boil in the jaw?

So I made up capsules of half turmeric and half cayanne pepper. Sure enough, within a hour or so, it started to reduce. Encouraged, I decided to go to straight Turmeric and have been taking a heaping teaspoonful in a glass of warm milk sweetened with Stevia 2-3 times a day. It actually tastes pretty good!

Bottom line is that the pain is greatly reduced and I am convinced this could completely cure this problem, but I am going to the Dentist monday anyway to get this crown properly fixed.

Turmeric has kept these last few days from being an absolute nightmare! By the way, I started taking Levaquin (a powerful antibiotic) about 5 days ago, and it did NOTHING! Thank you and thank God for this site!

Hey, I currently have a tooth abscess and it is killing me and has my cheek an mouth numb, I went to the Dr. afterwork to get antibiotics but they wouldn't give me an Rx because they said they didn't have any appointments available and needed to assess me prior to dispensing medications. When I got home I thought of the remedy for boils which according to this website is tumeric. Well, it seems to me the concept of a boil & a tooth abscess are basically the same. A boil is infection under the skin accompainied by poisonous blood and puss w/inflamation and the same with an abscess but surrounding a bad tooth. So last night when I got home in severe pain (could hardly open my mouth). I put a tsp of tumeric in some applesauce (still almost threw it up) but to my surprise the swelling went down and the pain subsided. It's late morning now and I am beginning to feel a slight discomfort, so I plan on taking more tumeric. Hope this helps someone else.

Raw Tomatoes

If accessible, use water pik to irrigate the area infected & you may include peroxide or salt in the irrigation water be sure to rinse the water pik after by sending clean water thru it after the tooth irrigation is ended. you can get creative & use baking soda ,or vinegar, or iodine, etc.

Now here is something that worked for me: eat up to 12 tomatoes raw only & if you can find raw cheese, unsalted for pain this works great. I got up to 7 tomatoes & the abscess burst! I had a tuff time to find unsalted cheese so I bought it at least raw anyway. The main thing is the tomatoe. My abscess has not returned in 2 years. have fun.. bob

Neem Seed Oil
Posted by Ted (Bangkok, Thailand) on 09/10/2007 392 posts

I had one case of a woman who got septicemia like conditions (blood poisoning and the blood becomes dark brown) where the bacteria went so deep that it caused a major fever, and headaches. Chemically speaking a low concentration in the blood of aspirin, was found to eliminate or kill the bacteria. Chemically speaking the acetylsalicylates actually digests the thin bacterium walls which causes the condition (and has a potential as antiviral and antibacteria properties like an antibiotics on the merits of it being able to destroy very thin microbial walls) and it was essential that aspirin was used to wash out the cavities cleaning.

One case the teeth where cavities exist was so black that the oil pulling dissolves the bacterium that resulted in streaming black streaks during the die off, which I think is how oil pulling can kill certain cavity causing bacteria, not all mind you, the bacteria plaque are a bit more difficult to remove. I haven't been able to get neem oil, but the idea that it help somewhat is an interesting finding.

I believe that long term acid saliva is one factor which initiates enamel erosion as well as eating sour foods where potassium I think is what controls the saliva pH, while sodium controls the urinary pH, or extracellular fluids, in some ways. I still need to do further experiments in proving this of course!

Thank you for your contribution!
