I've been suffering from hemmoroidal pain since I gave birth to my second baby, three years ago; however, the pain got worse about three weeks ago and its getting worse hour by hour to the point that I can't do anything at home and I can't attend to my family, and I spend the time crying over my excrutiating pain. However, this morning, I started searching the internet for some natural cure, since all the other medicated solutions didn't work at all, and believe it or not, I was standing up by the computer doing the search because I couldn't sit from the pain. While searching, I found that blessed website with info on how helpful ACV is in treating hems. So I digged up an old ACV bottle that I had at home and that we usually use with honey to treat sorethroat, and I dampned a cotton ball with ACV and applied it to the hems and I couldn't believe the result and here I am now couple of hours later sitting in front of the computer and thanking everybody who contributed to this wonderful site. Thank you a million times.

Actually tried ACV after being reminded that it was generally healthy for you. After the 1st day I realized that my hemorrhoids were better. I mean that I was taking 2 tbs with water in the morning and before bed and added 2 tbs to large bottle of water and sipping during the day by mouth. Haven't tried applying directly. They were markedly better with just drinking the ACV. I am sure more good things are happening but this one really surprised me. I should have realized just how much my body was craving it when it tasted so good.

I was considering making a doctor's appointment for my hemorrhoids, which had been very uncomfortable for several months. Before making that call, I decided to check the internet for a natural remedy. I am grateful I found this site and tried apple cider vinegar. That was 4 days ago. The pain and itching are gone and the hemorrhoids have decreased 50% in size.
Suggestion - If the apple cider vinegar stings, try applying an ice compress to the area for about 5 minutes before the apple cider vinegar. This numbs the area, helps with swelling and takes away the sting.

NEED HELP!! I have spent the last three days dutifully (possibly naively) applying the ACV treatment. It has made my hemorrhoid much worse than it began. It has never even hurt until now. I understnad this may not work for everybody, but I have not read a single review yet that made ACV sound like anything other than a miracle. What am I doing wrong?
Once a day, I soak a small wad of TP in ACV, place it on the hemorrhoid, and let it sit there for 15-20 minutes. It begins to sting after the first minute or so, and the sting worsens all the way until the end. It is then painful to the touch, and swollen, and noticeable the rest of the day.
I have been ingesting vinegar as well for a few days, with no side effects, so I don't think I'm allergic. This seems like such an incredible and widespread solution, and yet if I judged by my experience alone I would say it's the worst possible thing to do for your hemorrhoids. The opposite of a cure.Any other "miracle" solutions out there? Please help.

I used a solution of 1/2 ACV and 1/2 water to wash my hemorrhoid after going to the bathroom. It worked to reduce swelling within 3 trips to the bathroom. I decided ... some was good, more would be better. I put solution on a cotton ball and left there all night-MISTAKE! It burned the sensitive skin so bad the skin sloughed off causing immense pain. Please remember, MORE IS NOT BETTER!

The pain everyone is having is when there is an open cut on your roid. I was in so much pain a few years back I thought I was going to pass out. Luckily I found Aloe Gel with Lidocaine. It works instantly to relieve the pain and also helps reduce the roid. I am not sure what will eliminate them but I think I am going to try a few things like the raw garlic and ACV.

I was contemplating surgery for the past few days. I have had hemmorrhoids for over 20 years and they were always a nuisance, but over the past year they have been getting very bad. This week was agony. I have plowed through a box of Preparation H and it wasn't helping in the least. I found this site and happened to have ACV in the pantry and thought I'd give it a shot.
I have applied it 3x so far today...and it's like a miracle. For days I was near tears with pain and absolute discomfort and suddenly, I am OK! I can sit, I can stand I can walk around without feeling like there is a knife inside me. Thank GOD for the internet!
I will continue to apply this (I just wet a cotton ball with regular old ACV...not organic or anything special) and left it in place for a couple minutes. It did sting a little...but heck, that was nothing compared to the stabbing pain I was having. The sting actually felt good in a strange way...
After the second application (which was about 90- minutes after the first) I felt some relief. I then applied it a third time and now here I can sit, at my computer to tell you how wonderful I feel.
And to think I was about to allow myself to have SURGERY! Why don't doctors ever give you any homeopathic remedies to try????? I urge anyone who is suffering to try this. How wonderful that something so simple could work so well. Thank you all for posting your experiences and helping out so many people!

I've not used ACV topically but found out accidentally that drinking ACV cures even bleeding, protruded, unrelenting hemorrhoids. I suffered with all of the above for 3 months (not aware of any precipitating cause) when my dogs became infested with fleas. ACV was recommended as an effective topical remedy for flea bites so I dug out my bottle of organic unfiltered ACV from the back of the fridge, which I'd originally bought to help digestion and stabilize blood sugar (works great for both). While I had it out I drank a shot and within the hour my pain was gone. I googled ACV and hemorrhoids and realized that it was an effective natural remedy for that as well as fleas. I don't know why drinking it works but it works amazingly. The only problem is if I skip it for even half a day the twinges return, so I'll probably have to be on it 3 times daily for life. Worth it, though!

Thank you, I've started using the apple cider vinegar today. I felt related to what you mentioned, for me also stress events, deep anguish or tension also create a lot of problems. It seems that is deep and hence hard to control, so yes, It reminds me of God, is like my own body seems that i made somewhere a commitement to remember a higher power. For me it's been a year but a few months of weird constipation, itching and pain and my stools are somehow flat sometimes, this worries me lately, i'm going to get myself checked, but I agree that is a very emotional related issue. Thank you for your words and yes, don't worry be happy, worry would make it worse.

After reading several statements on your website regarding ACV & hemorrhoids, I tried it. After all, I drink the stuff and I truly believe in it's healing properties. However, I applied the ACV using a q-tip to the area where I had the hemorrhoids and I developed a very painful rash on the inner part of my buttocks, both sides! I wouldn't recommend it for hemorrhoid treatment, but it is good stuff otherwise!

As a secretary I sit all day. Today my hemorrhoids started acting up. They weren't really enlarged. Just stinging and itching. Came to this site to see what I could find and it suggested ACV. I have a bottle of ACV, honey, and water on my desk that I drink throughout the day. I took it to the restroom, soaked a napkin, and applied it to the sore area holding it there for a minute. The relief was instant. It felt so good I wished I could just leave it on it. Now that I'm back at my desk, there is still no burning or itching.

I can't believe it, I had never suffered with a bad case of hemorrhoids before (I had them after my children were born but they quickly went away) and of course they came at a time when we have no medical insurance. I have had itching hemorrhoids on two separate occasions (years in between). Each time, I put some ACV on a cotton ball and dabbed the affected area. Boy, did it burn. But the itching went away and never came back. Awesome!

Foods to avoid if you want to cure your hemorroids. No Pepper of any kind. No walnuts. No chocolate. No Meats, fish, chicken. No eggs. I believe that hemoroids might be some kind of parrasite that lives in your boby and enjoys eating those kinds of foods. I don't think much research has been done on it...I mean common, would you volunteer to push on the toilet to see if that is how you get hemorroids? Or would you volunteer to sit on cold cement. The truth is that these experiments have never been done and therefore we can conclude that those reasons are just theories.

EC: Yes. The Apple Cider Vinegar you buy is usually already diluted to 5%, and that is what people are using. It is still quite strong at 5% and many dilute it more for topical use.

To be honest, Israel, having read the side effects, I suspect it would make my IBS worse, which in turn would make my hems worse!
I'm trying a diluted amount of ACV applied directly with a cotton pad for 10 minutes. Going to do this several times a day and see if there's any reduction. I really, really hope so. It would be beyond wonderful to get rid of these things after suffering for so long.

Hello all, I have been suffering from hemorrhoids from almost 2-3 weeks. I completely freaked out in the beginning but then came across this site and got relieved. I started applying ACV and then the swelling is gone but yet after two weeks I still have hemorrhoids and they're not completely gone. I am just worrying if ACV works just to treat the swelling or does it completely help in disappearing the hemorrhoids. I am again tensed if this will cause something serious in future. Please help me get out of this. Sorry for the description but I feel there is just one hemorrhoid and is very small.

I suffer from hemorrhoids. They are internal, but when they flare up I can feel them. In the past I have used ACV effectively by mixing with a lil honey and water and usually within one dose they are gone. This time they have decided to stick around, and its becoming unbearably painful. It feels like razor blades or broken glass when I go to the bathroom. My anus is raw and sore and I have a lil bit of a rash. I'm also having a burning sensation. I use aloe baby wipes when I go to the bathroom to help keep that area clean plus it feels better then TP. Any suggestion on helping with the burning sensation? I'm desperate!

To Emily: to me, it sounds as though you may have an anal fissure. I needed surgery when it started to feel like sitting on a cactus and have bowel movements that felt like glass shards. Not pleasant and I feel for you. If you don't get checked out and leave an anal fissure unaddressed, I believe it can exacerbate and turn into an abcess ,which a much worse thing...

I might suggest replacing the baby wipes with Witch Hazel. Tucks or just soak cotton or a soft tissue from a bottle of Witch Hazel. Sometimes wipes cause more irritation.

My original hemorrhoid problem started when I was constipated pretty bad, and work I couldn't hold off from going to the bathroom, and just pushed out the hardened stool, that felt like a tear in my ass. This was just under 3 months ago.
Using all kinds of OTC creams didn't do much help, since I was applying them outer area. Finally I started using suppositories, which helped but didn't fully fix the issue.
Then I started using undiluted Apple Cider Vinegar by pouring it on the witch hazel hemorrhoid wipes, and it did work initially. I would sleep with the wipe tucked between my cheeks, I did this for 3 days or so, until I dropped the ball on my fiber intake and ate out two days in a row, consumed alcohol and lowered my water intake. This caused my stool to harden up a little, and the next bowl movement I had was a bad experience, I had blood in my stool, and the passage of the stool felt like I was passing glass. Since then I have lost my progress, and now my ass is on fire for the last 24 hours, I started using apple cider again the same way I have been using but this time it has been really stinging a lot more, and I have to wake up in the middle of the night to change the wipe because I find traces of blood. Mind you the traces of blood are from going to the bathroom before bedtime, and applying Apple Cider Vinegar on the wipe and leaving it in place.
Now I also started swallowing a teaspoon of vinegar followed by drink a glass of water twice a day.
I am also back on my fiber intake, and drinking water.
Any idea how long will it be before I get out of the woods? Any other suggestions are appreciated...

The best remedy I have found for hemorrhoids is Magnet Therapy. Usually the stronger the magnet the better the results. A magnet bed pad should bring immediate relief. Sleep on the pad at night, and sit on the pad during the day (like say while watching tv).

The apple cider vinegar for hemmorhoids worked perfectly. I'm 15 and had exams the next day so I needed a quick fix. I left a peice of toilet paper by the area and left it for 30 mins ( forgot about it) stung abit but decreased in size half way did it few hours later then again in the morning and had no irritation.
