I could barely bring myself to try it for fear of extreme pain on a huge (and I do mean huge) long hemmeroid.
Trying Prep H and others for small hemmeroids I thought it would work...not this time. The pain was all the way up in my spine and there was some bleeding. I was hoping it would break and be done with it, but no such luck.
I finally got up the nerve to try the vinegar. First I put it on some scratches that I got from cutting trees in my yard. It didn't burn. I tried putting it on my face a few hours after shaving....still no pain. I said to myself, what the heck...the worst thing I will have to do is go into the shower and get it off quickly.
I took some of the advice and put petroleum jelly on both sides of the hemmeroid. Then with a piece of cotton I soaked it in the ACV. Held my breath and then I put it on. NO PAIN whatsoever!!!!! Just cooling type of feeling.
Within a few minutes, I noticed the pain totally disappear. I was able to work on my house for the past two hours with no problem.
It is still swollen, but not to have the horrible, horrible pain I feel like a new person.
I will continue to use it for the next day or even week. If it all shrinks down and there are no side or after effects, you will not hear from me again.
If anything occurs that is out of the ordinary I promise to help others as you have helped me and let you know everything.
By the way, there is no bleeding either.
God bless you all and for this site. I thought I was going to have to get pain killers or go to the hospital. Whew! Thanks so much again. I am so happy.

Hi Carol from Clairmont, ACVinegar is safe and works both internal & external application. My answer would definitely be: If you have one impetigo lesion (sore) use only on that one lesion; however, if it's accompanied by a sore throat, I would still use it externally on the one lesion, but I would also be drinking it for the sore throat.

As an alternative to ACV, I have always used witch hazel distillate water. It's very gentle, and you can't use too much of it. I actually use witch hazel as a toner on my face! Put a portion of witch hazel in the refrigerator. Soak a cotton ball or pad with the cold witch hazel and apply to the hemorrhoids. It shrinks them immediately. I'm a holistic health educator, and so I'm always looking for great remedies. This one is so simple, gentle, effective. Beware: witch hazels in the drug store may have alcohol in them. Be sure to buy one that does NOT contain alcohol. Witch hazel distillate water is best.

I would not trust any suppliments since they are not inspected by the FDA and you never know what you are buying. A study showed that over 80% of supplements have very little or NONE of what it claimed to have! At least when you take it straight from the bottle you KNOW exzactly how much you are getting and what you are getting.

I just tried this on an thrombosed hemorrhoid I've gotten due to pregnancy. I was desperate for relief and I put organic Apple Cider Vinegar on a cotton ball and applied it to hemorrhoid for 30 min.
Not only did it not help, but I am in much more pain than I was before. I am now icing the area in hopes for relief. I've heard menthol rub works and I will try that next.

I couldn't believe it. My wife was in tears today over her hemorrhoid. The last time hers flared up she had to go the ER and they cut it. Well I read the your comments on the ACV, and WOW, and I mean WOW it really works. There was an immediate relief, and the size went down. This is amazing, Thanks for the info...

Foods to avoid if you want to cure your hemorroids. No Pepper of any kind. No walnuts. No chocolate. No Meats, fish, chicken. No eggs. I believe that hemoroids might be some kind of parrasite that lives in your boby and enjoys eating those kinds of foods. I don't think much research has been done on it...I mean common, would you volunteer to push on the toilet to see if that is how you get hemorroids? Or would you volunteer to sit on cold cement. The truth is that these experiments have never been done and therefore we can conclude that those reasons are just theories.
