I have chronic constipation. I also have a 9-5 office job and also do computer work from home so this has lead to me getting some internal hems. I tried to change my diet to include more fiber in most all meals, which helped a little. When I eat cereal I put a little flaxseed oil as well. I am also taking psyllium husk with breakfast and dinner to ease BMs. I started putting a cap full of ACV into a glass of water and drinking that after breakfast and dinner, so I can brush my teeth after. I feel better in general and I think it's from drinking the ACV.
As for the hems, I've been soaking a Q-tip in AVC and applying that directly on the hems. It stings a little but has really worked for me. The only problem is with itching. For the first couple weeks it stopped the itching, but now it's coming back with a fury! It seems like a cut that's trying to heal, so it naturally itches. Not sure what I can do to allieviate that yet, but with all the comments on this thread I am greatful. I'm getting positive results and feel better.

Apple cider vinegar as a remedy for hemorrhoids...
I have been in excrutiating pain for over 3 weeks and I've tried everything there was on the counter at the drug store. Gone through way too much prep-H with no benifit. TMI - big hemerrhoid on the outside. I couldn't sit, stand, or walk without almost bursting into tears, had difficult time getting to sleep because of the pain and if I coughed you would think someone had just stabbed me and I would cry for a while. I don't have insurance but was considering going to the doctor anyway (which is a BIG deal for me). I finally found your site yesterday and decided to try the apple cider vinegar as a last resort. Last night I bought a sitz bath and the vinegar (as I had seen some people have bad reaction to the vinegar so I wanted to take it slow and dilute it some) I put in the warm water and added about a cup (maybe a little less) of the vinegar plus I sprinkled a little bit of epsom salt into the water too, sat for about 15 minutes, had no burning just relief, and then went to lay down. (I had tried taking warm baths before but the pressure of sitting in the tub combined with the pressure of getting in and out of the tub was just too much and it didn't help anyway) Within 2 hours of the sitz bath I had the first relief I have felt in a very long time. The pain went almost completely away. Sigh... I did the sitz bath again right before bed with the same ingredients and this morning I got out of bed without having to take my time and fight against the pain. So far today at work I only have minimal discomfort wich is a HUGE step forward. I can actually do my job without breaking down crying every hour. The hemorrhoid has shrunk to a quarter of it's size before. I am so excited at the results so far and I feel I can actually have some hope now. I will be back to let you know how things are going next week. Thanks so much for the information. You've been a God send!
To everyone out there who is reading these comments and thinking that it's all balogna, please give it a try, it can't hurt and the benifits are so worth it.

Well I just wanted to come back and let everyone know how everything turned out with the Apple Cyder Vinegar treatment after my initial next day testimony above. (Sorry I forgot to come back and tell you sooner) So the next day I did a few more Sitz sitting for 15 minutes at a time with the ACV, hot water, and Epsom Salt when I got home from work. The next day the roid was even more reduced and I had no more discomfort when sitting (ocassional when walking or moving about) and the day after that it was like I had never had a problem. After 3 weeks of agony (real complete agony, tears, pain etc) I was finally pain free. I never had any reaction to the ACV of any kind but I did take it slow and dilute it in water. I did have a same day lessening of pain when I first tried the solution but it wasn't completely over for a few days. Give it time, get a Sitz Bath (they are only around $5 dollars at Walgreen's) it not only helps clean the area it also gives it a good wash with no pressure. I never did use the "wash" part of it, just the bowl and sat down in the water ACV mixture. I haven't had a problem with roids again till last week and I used this as soon as it started again and never even got to that painful stage. It cleared it right up in a day. I hope you'll try it.

Also Im a drummer by trade!! Imagine that pain next time you watch john bonham solo...
Just started today but I had two tablespoons raw ( it nearly knocked me out it was so vile! )..
Then drenched some rolled toilet paper in this ACV, which was now making my apartment smell like an armpit, and shoved it, where I swear there used to be a sword!
10 minutes later, paranoid someone was gonna pop in for a cuppa, and catch me with wadds of foul smelling paper falling out of unkown folds, I hosed my self down, appologised to the neighbour; whos window was slamming shut, and had an hour and a half of bliss!!! Only a little pain remained, I mean little, left to remind me he aint gone yet, but im hoping thats just the start of a total annihilation of this literal pain in the butt!
but peace!!
spread the love
spread the word,
give me today
if tomorrows absurd
i love my music, however now my bedroom is smelling a bit too funky!

I wanted to vote YES for apple cider vinegar working for hemorrhoids. I had been eating too much cake after several consecutive celebrations and developed a painful hemmorrhoid. I read on your site to use apple cider vinegar, so I soaked a cotton makeup remover pad with it and applied this morning and evening to the anus and perianus area. This treatment stung very badly the first three days, but it doesn't anymore, and the hemorrhoid is no longer painful. It is still there, but at least it doesn't hurt! I also drink about 10 mL of ACV at night, and am trying an alkaline diet. I also try to eat coconut oil at least once during the day. I hope this info helps someone.
Thanks for all, Kendra

I put myself on a severe high fiber diet, but I am breastfeeding my baby, so I needed to make sure I was still eating fat and protein or my milk would decrease. It was very difficult to do this. After two days of this diet, the pain lessened, but there was no change in the size of the hemhorroids.
After searching numerous sites, I found this one and just happened to have some raw organic ACV with the mother. I started drinking a cup of warm water with a capful of ACV (about a teaspoon, I guess) each morning and evening. I would immediately brush my teeth because some people mentioned it is bad for the enamel of your teeth. I would also use a cotton ball to apply the ACV to both hems several times a day after using the bathroom. After a few days I noticed a MAJOR decrease in pain. The first morning after starting this, the larger hem was even bigger (swollen?) but not more painful. I was a bit nervous, but kept going. It took about eight days to notice a reduction in size of the hems, and since then every day has been better. The small, painless one (from sneezing) is very shrunken now, and sometimes I can't even feel it at all when I apply the ACV. The other one, the PAINFUL one, is much smaller, and I am SO RELIEVED! The one I believe is internal does not hurt AT ALL today, and I'm on day 12 of this regimen. Praise the Lord! I am so thankful for finding this website. THANK YOU!!!
I plan to continue this until they are gone. I do believe it will work. Some people mentioned four to six weeks, so I still have great hope that they will go away completely. Every other site out there says there is NO CURE for hemorrhoids except surgery. I no longer believe that! Thanks, Earth Clinic!!!

I soak a piece of TP with the ACV. Then apply it for about 10-20seconds. At first it stung like hell. I did this 2 to 3 times. After a few minutes the soreness went away and within hours the offenders shrank. Within days the problem was gone. I still find it hard to believe that it could be that easy. Now and then I feel the contenders trying to make a come back but I quickly douse them again and relief is just as fast. I never go anywhere without my bottle of AVC. Good luck - living with hemorrhoids is no fun!

Hi earth clinic peeps,
So, I've had three hemmorroids, external & popping out for many years now from being an athlete/avid biker. After numerous liver cleanses a-la-Andreas Moritz two are gone but one remains & is so big & bothersome due to size & ugliness. I tried the ACV topical last night and for some reason it's larger & there's blood & now irritation in the morning.
Is this 'normal'? Is this part of the process & does it usually get larger before shrinking
Thanks & look forward to hearing some guidance as I'm scheduled for a procedure in 1 1/2 weeks and definitely would prefer curing this myself

Apple Cider vinegar definately works. I was also desperate and just tried it. I cleansed the affected area and also tried to get some inside (sorry gross). I went to bed and after about 10 hours I noticed relief. At first I thought, what the hell did I do because it burned, but I went to bed was actually able to sleep which I hadn't been able to do because of the pain. I woke up the next morning and relief! No pain, and one of the hemorroids was started to shrink the other were not as swollen. I had about seven hems total, some external, some internal and now about three weeks later I'm dealing with two that haven't gone away yet (much milder though), but two out of seven is so much better to deal with!

Alright, update! Pain/swelling has definitely continued to go down. Also, just wanted to say that I don't think it matters how you lay down! Just apply the ACV and try to relax as much as possible. After recovery try to eat a healthy diet, including fiber and organic foods - that will keep the stool soft and reduce the need to strain because of constipation =)!

I was considering making a doctor's appointment for my hemorrhoids, which had been very uncomfortable for several months. Before making that call, I decided to check the internet for a natural remedy. I am grateful I found this site and tried apple cider vinegar. That was 4 days ago. The pain and itching are gone and the hemorrhoids have decreased 50% in size.
Suggestion - If the apple cider vinegar stings, try applying an ice compress to the area for about 5 minutes before the apple cider vinegar. This numbs the area, helps with swelling and takes away the sting.

I have had constipation, hemorrhoids, all kinds of nasty digestion issues since I had my appendix removed over 15 yrs ago. I've tried everything and I mean everything.. Here's what I've discovered in my research (thanks EarthClinic) Rutin and Vitamin B6: this is needed if you have weak vascular walls.. I tried this and have little success because weak veins wasn't my issue. My issue was my stool, was so hard and large due to too much fiber/water and not enough good bacteria in my colon.. so even though I knew this I couldn't fix it until I tried ACV Coconut Oil, but let me say this ACV didn't work by itself.
In fact, It wasn't until I used Ted's Remedy which increases the PH to alkaline levels that I had true success and I mean wow! I took 8oz of water mixed in 1/4 tsp of baking soda, and 2 tablespoons of ACV and took 1 teaspoon of Coconut oil.. and I fell asleep..
Now just to explain to you the situation I was in.. I had just went and I was hurting bad.. I couldn't move but barely hobble and still had some feces that was like clay and couldn't come out.. it really sucked.
But, after I woke up I ate some food and a couple hours later I had to go to the bathroom.. and when I went oh man it was amazing.. it was soft and virtually struggle free.. I prayed that the Lord show me an answer and He did!
I'm going to keep taking this to cleanse me out.. also a lot of you should read the book, Fiber Menace it explains the effects of fiber on the colon.. you need to repopulate your bacteria, get rid of the bad, strengthen your veins, and take ACV Coconut Oil it really works.

NEED HELP!! I have spent the last three days dutifully (possibly naively) applying the ACV treatment. It has made my hemorrhoid much worse than it began. It has never even hurt until now. I understnad this may not work for everybody, but I have not read a single review yet that made ACV sound like anything other than a miracle. What am I doing wrong?
Once a day, I soak a small wad of TP in ACV, place it on the hemorrhoid, and let it sit there for 15-20 minutes. It begins to sting after the first minute or so, and the sting worsens all the way until the end. It is then painful to the touch, and swollen, and noticeable the rest of the day.
I have been ingesting vinegar as well for a few days, with no side effects, so I don't think I'm allergic. This seems like such an incredible and widespread solution, and yet if I judged by my experience alone I would say it's the worst possible thing to do for your hemorrhoids. The opposite of a cure.Any other "miracle" solutions out there? Please help.

Goodness! I would never use ACV for a hemorrhoid - especially topically, because of its acidity.
I suffered through many a 'roid' until I discovered Witch Hazel and sitz baths. You can buy both the sitz and the Witch Hazel at any of the big pharmacy stores.
Fill the sitz bath with warm water (good and warm, but not hot) then pour about a cup of Witch Hazel into it and soak for 15-20 min's several times a day. You will notice relief almost instantly, and the more often you soak - the quicker the healing.
For relief in between sitz baths, take a cotton ball and soak it well with the Witch Hazel, and tuck it where the hemorrhoid is. You can change the cotton ball several times per day. Or, you can buy the more expensive, but equally effective 'Tucks' moistened pads, but since they're moistened with Witch Hazel, I always just used the cotton ball w/ straight Witch Hazel.
Hang in there. This method will work! It's never done me wrong. These days, whenever I feel even a *hint* of anything going on down there, I do a sitz bath and it ends there - it heals it right up and it never turns into a hemorrhoid.
Feel better.
Hi Mike, you sound like me when having the same problem and remarking that "the fellow who wrote ring of fire must have had a bad case of hemorrhoids".
For immediate relief, may I suggest an ice pack to the hemorrhoids. After you get relieved, google potassium iodide, scroll through the references until you come up to the Tahoma Clinic reference and click on it. Dr. Jonathan Wright does an excellent 6 page article on the wonders of SSKI (saturated solution of potassium iodide). His recommendation for hemorrhoids is 20 drops of SSKI in 1 ounce of flaxseed oil (I just used my EV olive oil I cook with). Mix this in small container and when you are ready to go to sleep, apply a cotton ball soaked in the mixture to the hemorrhoids & leave it there until morning. Works wonderfully.
For those who have not read his article, you should print out this article to keep for future reference. Amazing what this SSKI (or Lugol's solution is nearly the same) can do from removing cysts, liquifying cholesterol in our arteries so we can excrete them from our bodies, ridding us of bladder infections, killing many pathogens, thinning the mucus in our heads and lungs so we can keep our respiratory tracts open. Another source mentions one that Dr. Wright didn't and his advice was to take 2 drops of Lugol's solution in glass of unchlorinated water daily to keep our stomach secreting hydrochloric acid to digest our foods.

Thanks for the side effect note, I too thought more is better and soaked a cotton ball and let it sit there most of the night, next thing I know the muscle that was swollen is back inside but the skin has peeled, I was horrified after seeing that, thanks for your insight, I feel better knowing that it was the AVC that caused it

Amy, oddly enough, I posted the following message last night. Please try this, and also see a doctor if it continues. I hope this helps you. I am amazed at the results.
"I have been having trouble with bleeding hemorrhoids for the past two years, with increasing frequency and pain. I have tried everything from steroid cream from the doctor, to drugstore cream, coconut oil, probiotics, etc. Then I realized that orange juice and other fruit juices, vinegar, fish oil pills and other vitamins were all making it worse. I have stopped most of them for months, and it helped a bit but not enough. On a hunch, I started drinking one cup of herbal Peppermint tea (tea bags bought at the supermarket) each night for the past 2 weeks and I haven't had any bleeding since and I have no more pain. I am now starting to slowly add some of the things that I have eliminated from my diet and have not had any problems.
I did find on the internet that Peppermint tea is good for hemorrhoids, but they said you need to be careful if you have acid reflux or blood pressure problems. Some sites said it could lower your blood pressure, others said it could raise it. I haven't found any difference but I don't have blood pressure problems. I am hopeful that the tea has healed my hemorrhoids for good and that the tea continues to help. I also hope this helps others with their problem, because I know how painful this can be. Make sure you get Peppermint tea bags and NOT Peppermint oil which will cause more irritation. It is certainly worth a try."

This is to Amy from Yucaipa, It is a common belief that constipation will cause hemorrhoids at one point of life.
But, even Diarrhea or severe urge to go for bowel movement can cause hemorrhoids. It happens like this, when you get severe urge it increases the pressure in the blood vessels in and around rectum thereby causing it to swell and eventually become piles or hemorrhoids or Fissure.
For immediate treatment, apply mustard oil in the anus and swelled regions after going for a bowel movement. Then Buy Rutin capsules and take it according to the recommended dosage. Rutin capsules will reduce the swelling of veins and can heal the piles.
To reduce the pressure of the rectum, use a japanese toilet or indian squat toilet or at the least raise your feet using a 6 - 12 inch stool for both your legs.
It is a better practice to clean with water after a bowel movement, so it will minimize your infection and promotes personal hygiene.
hope this helps.
