Hi! I went to a Whole Foods market yesterday and bought a bottle of ACV with Mothers and WOW! That is a pungent smell, bout knocked me on the ground!!! lol

I took 1 TB straight and chased it with OJ and then water. Boy that stuff is STRONG. I took my BP 2 hours later and was soooo happy, it was 123/75, I was elated! It is usually in the 140/85 range. I eat very healthy and workout every week so I have been so bumfuzzled as to why it stays in the 140 range. Anyway I am so thankful I found this website!!! Thanks!!

I have heard Dr. Eric Berg say that if you can hear your heartbeat in your ear, it's from low potassium. The body needs 4700 mg. a day he says.

Dear Mama,

My father is 59 yrs old and he has high BP and cholesterol since many years and he is a doctor so he takes allopathic medicines daily for high BP, cholesterol, anxiety and sleeplessness etc(no use of any natural remedy till now). Although he maintains very good weight constantly since many years. (He has undergone a major surgery for haemorroids one year ago. )
I always tell him about lots of benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar and now he is ready to take it. Can he take Apple Cider Vinegar with his regular medicines?   (Coz giving up medicines is difficult for him. )

As we know, hard taste of Apple Cider Vinegar becomes soft by adding baking soda also it is good combination for maintaining alkalinity of body. Can he take Apple Cider Vinegar + soda ?
Waiting for your generous support. May Lord bless you and your family. Thank you very much.

Thank you for your comment, The Chlorine in our city water is over the top, it tastes & smells terrible even after the water runs a while before getting a glass. To make things worse, We have limestone all around here, so the lime in kettle or coffee maker is a lot, and, unless you wipe down the SS sink, after running the tap, you will later see the dry calcium deposits. This must affect arteries, heart, and kidneys, thus blood pressure. Just started on ACV unfiltered. Prayerfully and hopefully this will work for me. I've started getting my water from an Artesian Spring.

Dear Earth Clinic, thank you so much for posting so many positive comments regarding Apple Cider Vinegar! I recently had my first bout with Gout, and ACV scored an impressive knockout! I had been taking a diuretic for high blood pressure and in my initial research I learned that my medication could be contributing to my gout. It was new years eve and I couldn't get out to see my doctor until the following monday (4 days later) I found your website and learned about ACV. I knew we had some as my wife had asked me to purchase some for home made salad dressings. It wasn't organic with "mother" but rather a typical commercial brand "pure" ACV. Beggars can't be choosers and with nothing to lose, I decided to give it a try. I followed the instructions on your website and began to take 2 tbsp with water, tomato juice, etc. Within 12 hours the swelling crested and within 36 hours I was about 80% better. I was completely cured within 5 days. My Doctor confirmed that my medication could contribute to gout and was very impressed with ACV as a remedy. I decided to read up a little more about the benefits of ACV for my high blood pressure. Well, it's been 9 days now and with my doctors blessing, I've weaned myself off my medication. I've purchased an organic brand with the "mother" (available at most specialty grocery and health food stores) and I'm happy to report that my blood pressure is steady in the 122/80 range and is lower now that when I was on the medication (135/88). Thanks again! Like the oldtimers, I've started to take it straight up (with an apple juice chaser) I have more energy and am continuing my daily routine of 1/2 shot glass 2-3 times a day as I attempt to shed 40 lbs over the next 6 months. It's the miracle I've been looking for and I'm telling the world! Cheers!

From what I have read, some of the bp meds have beta blockers in it, meaning it blocks calcium. Calcium blocks magnesium. The Apple Cider Vinegar works with magnesium in your body, and doesn't work so good without the magnesium. Also I read something about the need for potassium in your body, and if you don't have it or it's low, your bp starts to go up. So for the people who the Apple Cider Vinegar did work but not anymore or never worked, I would say look into your amounts of magnesium and your amounts of potassium your body is getting. Cut out salty foods and get your cholesterol checked as it can also be a contributing factor. My hubbys bp was 187/126 then I started my research. It's been a day with bp meds. acv, magnesium, and bananas. It is down to 146/104. Love my hubby and I want him around for a long time. Hope this helps others.

I have had high blood pressure for the last 2 years since i had my baby. Well I recently checked my BP and it had soared to 188/98 Oh my goodness I freaked out. After reading these wonderful reviews I decided I have nothing to lose but HBP. So i ordered organic ACV over the internet had it delivered to me. and after 2 days of taking 2tablespoons of acv and water I checked my BP today and it was 111/84. Since i was in shock. I checked it again a half hour later and the exact same number came up again. I am in total disbelielf. I will continue to take ACV and checkmy BP again in a couple of days but i am so excited about this. Thanks so much for all these wonderful reviews. I am convinced that ACV does work. The numbers prove it!!!!!

Hi, I read about the great results people have been getting from ACV and had heard about its beneficial effects in books, etc. over the years but never really stuck with it. Well I've had high blood pressure for the last 10 years or so and its been getting progressively worse. I've been put on a wide variety of pills by my physicians whom I've come to believe are concerned and try to help (maybe), but nothing they have done has been of any real benefit to my health. Nothing. This past December I went to the emergency room because my pressure was reading 210/160. I was in excuriating pain, my head, neck, back, and eyes all felt as if they were put into a vice or hit with a sledge hammer. No exaggeration. The pain was unbearable. I left the emergency after five and a half hours without being seen by anyone other than the intake nurse and that's when I decided to take my health into my own hands. I began a regime of two tablespoons of ACV in water 2-3 times a day. After two weeks I was tempted to give up because I didn't see any results but I read a comment that said results sometimes take time and to keep going so I did and after my third week there was a breakthrough. My pressure had come down and I haven't taken any medication since December. I've modified my protocol as I've been going along and this is currently how I take my remedy.

3 tablespoons ACV
1 teaspoon cinnamon
half teaspoon cayanne pepper
in a half glass of water

The RESULTS:
No more headaches
No more high blood pressure (it may rise occassionally-then I take an additional dosage of ACV and it goes right down)
No more pains in my joints
No more sinus problems

ACV may not be a miracle cure but it is second only to the grape cure (a regime of eating only grapes) which is extremely hard to follow for any length of time. I posted this really because the tendency is for websites to really discount the "folk" remedies and alternative medicine, because its not scientific or FDA approved. I do feel that rational intelligent people can report accurate results of treatments that we've tried. We don't need a degree or title or government position to state a truth. I'm insulted that we are bombarded on these expert medical sites with don't try this or that without first consulting your doctor. Or stating the these "cures" can possible be harmful! Any so called side effect (if there are any) are far less harmful to your body than any drug on the market. I could go on put I'll just stop at that. Keep posting what works for you by sharing your results we can learn and try to educate each other to break through this maze of medical jargon that is used to obscure facts and present half truths.

First I would like to say that I strongly believe in ACV as a home remedy for many ailments/ conditions including high blood pressure.

I am even building a website about it and am currently working on a page dealing with high blood pressure.

What I would like to add to this string is that 1 or 2 tests will not confirm or deny that it is working. Your BP will change up or down many times during the day. It is not a constant.

Apple Cider Vinegar will help high blood pressure but you need to take it daily for at least 3 weeks. Results over several tests should be done before you can confidently say that it has helped.

Also, and this may be the cause of many "nay" votes, vinegar WILL NOT AFFECT high blood pressure caused by heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, or other complex diseases.

Most importantly, if you are currently on prescribed medication, do not stop or reduce your medication because you decide to try vinegar. See your doctor first. (S)he may decide to reduce your medication while you are taking ACV but that is a medical call and not one to be made without the proper knowledge.

Hi Dennis, I just wanted to comment on your post. You mentioned that at first, the ACV appeared to be helping, but then quickly took a turn for the worse. When you mentioned esophageal reflux and anxiety, I immediately thought Magnesium. In addition to the hypertension, both of these conditions can be directly related to low Mg. levels. Not to mention that your medications also contribute to Mg. wasting.

I'm not suggesting that you ditch your meds, but I would highly recommend that you consider adding Mg. into your daily routine.

With blessings of health & happpiness,
Lyne

A few months ago I went to the doctor for my annual physical. I was shocked to find out my blood pressure was 146/90. I am not overweight and eat a vegetarian diet. My doctor immediately wanted me to start me taking BP medication, which I refused to do. I found this site and started on the organic ACV; 2 tbs in water 3x day. By the next day my bp was 120/80. I went back for a follow up visit to my doctor a few months later and my BP was still 120/80. When I told the doctor why it was normal, she totally dismissed the idea, and said it "must have been some diet change", which it wasn't. I don't really care what she or the medical establishment think, I know it works. I now only take 2 tbs in water once a day and been able to maintain a normal BP. Thank you Earth Clinic!

Hello Chattyone, I realize my response may not actually reach you, since you posted back in 2012. However, it may be helpful to someone else.

CV, Lemon, Lime, etc., is very harsh on the enamel of the teeth. It is necessary regardless of whether drinking ACV through a straw, taken as a shot or otherwise to brush the teeth, tongue and gums thoroughly right after. I've been drinking ACV without a straw and eating lemons and limes with my teeth as a fruit for many moons and my teeth are unaffected because I brush my teeth thoroughly after. I even travel with a spare toothbrush and toothpaste or keep an extra set at work to avoid reasons not to consume what has always proven healthy for me. I'm sorry about your crowns. Best of Health!

Have you tried the usual natural methods eg reduce salt in the diet and exercise daily, 1hr walks a day, yoga, listen to relaxation tapes. Look at family history, if there is a link I would suggest a full cardiologist check up. The risk of Tia's is increased with High BP. Frequent TIA's increase the risk of Vascular Dementia. Good Luck Lynda

EC: Tia = Transient ischemic attack or a mini-stroke

My blood pressure had gotten to be in the high 140/100 ...give or take a few fluctating points daily. I read your site because I didnt want to be put on medication. I wanted to try an alternative route to lower my blood pressure. I tried apple cider vinegar (regular type from grocery) and no change. I purchased a natural acv with the mother and my blood pressure was lower within days of using this. I drink 2tsp in a glass of water about 3x per day. It has also curbed my appetite for sweets and other junk foods. I have lost about 20 pounds in less than 3 months doing this. I have told everyone about the apple cider vinegar and encourage you to try it if you have high blood pressure. It tastes bad the first time or two but after you get used to the taste i actually like it.

Good Morning, I posted awhile back about ACV and the awesome tutoring school year I had with elementary kids and NO COLDS, RUNNY NOSE, SORE THROAT, COUGH for me! Well now I must spread the word about what it has done to my blood pressure. Had a mandatory limited physical last week and I gritted my teeth as the cuff went around my arm but lo and behold my BP was down 20 points!! I told the doc I was on ACV for over a year and and she said she had heard about it's benefits and even read a book about it. So.....wow....needless to say I am a very happy camper!

Well I went to the doctor for the first time in years, two days ago. They told me that my blood pressure was 140/76. I went because for the past few days I was feeling extremely tired and I got dizzy when I would stand to long or do any work. I knew something was wrong. When she told me, I kinda expected it.

I was always and active person but as of late since I got this new job it's like I'm stuck behind the desk constantly and then when I get home I have my own work to do. I am a photographer and graphic artist. And with the slow in the economy, every penny counts. My father used to have HBP, Gout and he had 2 or 3 heart attacks in his lifetime.

I took it hard when I was told I was borderline high. I wasn't prescribed anything but exercise and ease up off the fatty foods, sodas, caffeine,...... all the bad stuff. As soon as I got to my computer I started googling and came up with earthclinic.

Thanks to you guys, I went out and got the organic ACV and took 2 tbs raw before i went to bed.

Got up the next morning and felt like a new man. And now I have gotten back into my routine exercise. I haven't had no fast foods or junk for the past few days, just fruits vegetables and lean meats. No coffee tea or sodas. Just water and certain juices.

It's amazing how we wait until things happen before we take action. But YEA the ACV with Mother works. After the first dose I started using the 2tsp ACV with 8oz Water and a squeeze of lemon. And it tastes good too. :)

I have read many blogs regarding apple cider vinegar and how it reduces blood pressure. Well I'm convinced that it works well on blood pressure. I don't care what other blogs say (mostly medical websites) regarding inconclusive evidence. Apple cider vinegar has worked better than the Norvasc I have been on for (4) years. My bp was averaging 140 - 160 over 91 - 97.

Since I began a regiment of simply taking a 16.9oz bottle of water and drinking about 1/3 of it. Then refilling the 1/3 with apple cider vinegar (From Stater Bros) not the distilled but the 64oz plastic jug. It has a picture of vegetables just above the size of the bottle. To end all of the hype regarding it being too acidic the Stater Bros brand states on the bottle "Reduce with water to 5% acidity." By the way experts that's less than a soda beverage. The light warming sensation you feel is similar to drinking wine.

By the way since I mix it in my water bottle (1/3) the acidity is reduced even less. If you stay with it for a week you will see results. I use to suffer from Hyperglycemia as well but the sugar content in the apple cider vinegar kept me from getting the shakes. I was even able to fast for three days with no issues. I drank 1/3 of the 16.9 water and apple cider vinegar buring the course of my day. Each time I drank 1/3 I followed up with drinking another 16.9oz of plain water.

I spread out my 1/3 as follows:
1/3 in the morning, 1/3 at lunch, and 1/3 prior to dinner. You will urinate a lot and your colon will be cleansed as well. I'm no expert in anyway but I know that it it worked for me. Don't worry I didn't forget to tell you my current bp. Well I am happy to report that it ranges from 114 over 77 to 106 over 64.

By the way it doesn't have the "mother" in it as well which some sites and vendors claim is the only kind that is effective. Just don't use the distilled white vinegar as it has been stripped of it's nutrients the same as white flour, white rice or white sugar. During my fast I substitued my breakfast, lunch and dinner with 16.9oz of water mixed with spirullina for three days. I lost 13 pounds and I walked 1 mile a day.

To all of you doubters that would say it was the exercise and walking that lowered my blood pressure it helped. However, I was doing 3 miles a day on the treadmill for 30 minutes and drinking water and the blood pressure drop was minimal. In addition, my cravings for sweets went away as the colon was cleaned and the candida died off during the fast. Lastly, but firstly I paryed to God during my fast for my own personal strength. Now if you want to tell Him it doesn't work then I leave that up to you. be blessed and stick with it and you will see results.

I actually found this site yesterday. I just found out I have high BP and decided to take the advice and try the ACV. I have used it for acid reflux in the past and knew it worked for that...so why not. I was amazed!!! I also suffer from anxiety. I took it yesterday after reading the site and had a physical today. You would not believe the results. First, about five minutes after taking it my anxiety was gone and when they took my BP it was sytolic was down twenty point and distolic was down ten..!!!! Can you believe it..if not try it.

I started taking ACV to lower my blood pressure. Not only did it lower my pressure (My doctor was shocked at how low it went) It also cured my anxiety and a wart on my hand that i had for over a year. I tried everythin except going to the doctor to have it froze off. ACV made me a New person. Everyone at work said that i have more patience and am more relaxed. It is the Greatest thing since the invention of the wheel. I put a teaspoon full in a glass of water.

By gosh, it works! It lowered my 181/129 blood pressure 64 points! If I cut down from the 3 times daily, it starts to go back up. Also, about 6 months ago I developed an acid reflux problem, which the vinegar (I use _______'s) took away that first night. All is well as long as I continue on ACV. I hope it works for you, too.

Does Apple cider vinegar really lowers blood pressure? I doubt because my husband is taking it constantly for past 15 days. No effect at all. he is using Braggs Apple cider with mothers 2 tablespoons with raw and water twice a day.
