Olive Leaf, Mangosteen, Hawthorn

Olive Leaf Powder, Mangosteen Powder and Hawthorn Berry Powder. Mix equal amounts of powder in a baggie and shake for equal distribution. Place/Fill in 0 empty gelatin capsules. Take every am or pm. I am totally off of bp meds (norvasc etc). One of my readings even read 115/86. I am on my 3rd week of monitoring my b/p 4 times a day. I can make at least a 6 month suppy for about 10 bucks. My hair is not falling out anymore and I am losing weight. One more thing before I forget. Every morning or night I take 1 tbsp of honey and coconut oil/place in water and drink up. I am just super blessed and amazed after looking for a cure/remedy for so long.

I agree with you about Chaga tea. I ordered some a few weeks ago for my blood pressure and for my Golden Retriever who has a large tumor. I read all kinds of reviews before I ordered it. Even the first day-it worked, I slept all night without breathing problems with my asthma--no coughing-and my blood pressure is in the normal range--you are lucky you have it on your property. It can be expensive-but worth it. Plan to order more to give to members of my family also. Love the taste.
Vitamin B Complex

Adele Davis, the well know American nutritionist, says that trials have been done using cholin which have been proved to help lower BP. This is an ingredient in a Vit B complex supplement. I had been neglecting to take my vitamin supplements and decided to get back into the habit. Each evening I take an executive B complex, a calcium/magnesium tablet, a fish oil capsule, multi vitamin and a 500 mg Vitamin E capsule (vit E tends to increase BP if you don't start taking it in small doses). When I returned to the doctor after a few months, my BP had come down significantly.

Alternative Treatment for HBP

Hello Art!
I would suppose no further studies because of what you have found out from your own experience....the combination of the two work and the drug companies do not want that as they cannot patent either of the supps. The other reason could be the study came out of Italy. You will not see the US following up on that...just like all the bad publicity of statins here of late. They cause our bodies far worse problems than taking them. In fact, I have recently read that a good cholesterol level in a woman entering menopause is 280.
Natural remedies are not what big pharma companies are seeking. And I do believe I will try the combination. I am trying to stop the bp medicine so I do not have to go back to the doctor. Finding a good doctor with an open mind to natural remedies is not available in the rural areas. Further my current doctor wanted me to have blood work done and told me he hoped all the results would come back bad so it would motivate me to lose weight. I was dumbfounded and hurt and prayed to the Lord as I was coming out of his office that I would find a cure to all my ailments. I didn't do the blood work lol. Why? I know what I am battling. I do not need blood work to tell me things are off kilter. I have begun the iodine protocol Bill recommended as I had that on hand and will order the niacin and arginine also...I already take lysine...and maybe along with the bp going down so will the weight. But again, thank you for your link. Hopefully, it will help someone else also. God Bless! RJ

Mr .Rhee
If you are speaking to me then yes I am doing the weaning of medication very slowly.. Started last Feb. and decided to go at a very slow pace because I have read horror stories about beta blockers but not atenolol.. You scared me a bit too. Anyway; I at first started with advice from a doctor and had aweful side effects so I found other info. in other places and decided to do it another way and much much slower...and forget what the doctor said....When I felt level at a lower dose for a few months I extended the time I took it instead of cutting the pills.. I found that online. that seems to work the best.. and yes it comes to about a l/4 off each time.. So I hope this is slow enough because I am on 50mgs.now from 100 to 75 since last Feb. but I feel this is good and progress for me.. I felt like what was the rush but when a doctor wont help or tell you oh; you can get off this in two months I said no can do....I am doing it slow and at my own pace. they just don't listen or care..and look at me like I have three heads..so if I do need more medication for weaning I will just get more and do it more slowly if I have to....
Anyway; I feel yes at doing it at the l/4 seems right.. to get this stuff out of the system and feel balanced... last night I felt I might be ready for 37 miligrams as I have been on 50 for almost a month and half and just felt it was okay... but I will def. see how I feel the next few days..if I have to stay on 50 mgs. longer then I will... and then back down to 37 mgs.. for as long as I need and so on and so on.

It seems like I was reading my own story. My doctor is also forcing me to take some kind of calcium blockers and giving me extra calcium to take. That calcium can go straight to my bone and stay there. Scary! I don't take chemicals either. I am trying hisbiscus tea+ cayenne and Apple cider vinegar. It take time. There is no magic pill, not even the pill that doctors give will cure BP. If he can tell me reason why my BP is high then I will take the medication. All my blood results are good. I am so scared of my Doctor that after seeing him I was sick for more than a week. I worry too much and don't sleep at night and the BP goes higher. Now I changed my doctor. I will keep changing doctors or leave this private hospital in California if they keep on pushing me. I told them, I have lived my life successfully and I am content with it. At least I don't want to live a very long life any way. They shouldn't worry about me. I was all right without insurance for 7 years and then when I had insurance I hardly saw my doctor and I felt good and no worries. Now I am 65 and got medicare so every thing changed and I tries this hospital because they do every tests in their facility and results come fast.
Medication Weaning

When a supplement is recommended, it doesn't mean that one takes it every day for the rest of your life. You have to find that maintenance dose which may mean you skip one or more days. There may be the initial phase where you are cleaning up your system that you may want to take it every day. Some people may require it every single day. It depends upon the state of your health, age and other factors.
You have to experiment on dosage so you can go half or whatever you want. Your body and it's requirements may vary from day to day, week to week, month to month. You ultimately have to find that on your own. Instead of breaking it in half, maybe just skip a day. Also I'd give the K2 a couple months of cleaning and see if that brings down your blood pressure. I wouldn't get too obsessive about measuring your blood pressure every day since some things take time to work. Maybe measure it over a week every couple month.

Now since I gained some weight back its back up a bit.. but I can control it with these remedies and diet and exercise but I have to take my bp everyday .. I also do acupressure and that brings it down..

Also K2 comes in two forms - MK7 which comes from natto and MK4 which is synthetic and comes from animal tissue. MK7 is the preferred form. Take it with meals and in first meal of day. A few people say they have experienced insomnia from MK7. Maybe it builds up in the body but just something to be aware of.

My husband was about to go on 3 high blood pressure pills for his high blood pressure when he discovered Himalayan salt! Himalayan salt is a great mineral and it's actually is good for us. My husband said he uses all he wants on his food and his blood pressure is perfect.
123/72 was his last blood pressure reading and he got off all blood pressure medication! My blood pressure is good as well 117/72 only I still use one blood pressure pill. I am going to ask my doctor if I can get off the pill. We buy it on Ebay or you can buy it at a health food store. The man at the health food store told us that regular store salt (white) is like poison! But I don't know if that is true or not?

I think arginine has been reported to reduce the thickness of arteries but I don't know what that means. K2 has the strong evidence behind it.
A big myth is that salt causes heart disease. Like cholesterol, it was another lie. The scientific studies have shown that the amount of salt consumption has no bearing on whether people get heart disease.
Salt is healthy. I use Kosher Salt because it blends in with food better. Sea Salt is suppose to be one of the healthy salts. I hear a lot of good things about Himalayan salt and it may be better. So don't deny yourself salt. It actually helps you stay healthy.
The reason why your blood pressure goes up with more salt is because it expands the water in your blood. This is not a good reason to give up your salt. Salt is healthy for you. Many health conditions improve with salt especially the sea salt.
Vitamin K2 is proven to reverse calcified artery damage. It also helps take the calcium that would end up in your arteries and put it into your bones hence increases bone density. some anecdotal posts I have read report drastic reduction in people's artery calcium in only a couple months. Nice thing about this is that it says that once you give the arteries a good cleaning then you probably don't have to take it every day so can find a maintenance dose.
So vitamin K2 essentially keeps calcium out of your arteries and into you bones. Vitamin D (i use D3 kind) works in tandem with K2. Don't deny yourself salt.

It wakes me up and I cannot go back to sleep for an hour or so. The only thing that helps me so far, is to breath deeply for 3 to 5 minutes and then it lowers. I do have a prescription that I can take, if necessary. However, in the morning I feel like 'a train has run over me.' Thanks for any suggestions that may help me.

I too only use these things I will never take bp medication. Hibiscus tea twice daily is also what I take along with blackstrap molasses and a must for me is cayenne tincture three times daily it's nice to put some in your coffee or tea etc or add to molasses in warm water. Good luck

This is the 3rd time that I started High Blood Pressure (HBP) remedy (whilst also alkalising) with 2tbsp Organic ACV+mother with 1/4 tsp of bicarb of soda first thing in the morning and again late at night and need to stop again because of sudden onset of constipation that develops within the first 3 days of taking above remedy. I am normally not suffering from constipation, have always been very regular. Was prepared this time and had Aloevera juice at hand, just in case. Started with aloe on 2nd day in afternoon 2tbsp 3x daily in organic apple juice. Now at end of day 3 still no bowel movement and I have discontinued taking ACV+bicarb of soda. I am relatively healthy and dont take any medication. Only suffer with HBP, Fibromyalgia, candida, digestive malabsorbtion and use Oil of Magnesium daily, also B50 and natural vitE. My age is 68. Can someone help me understand why I develop constipation and how to remedy this outcome. Thanks for feedback and blessings to all involved with keeping this website going.

I was having uncomfortable time during past 7 days when my BP rose to 140 /90 from my 'normal' 130/80. It was quite a sudden thing and that leaves me clueless - hmm what was wrong?
So since then I tried water, garlic and ACV/BS without significant result while keep reading EC for more things to try out. I came across virgin coconut oil VCO so I did take it just 1tsp last night. 2 hrs later I was seeing the readings were on the way down. Early this morning I had another 1 tsp. Well, I did take coconut water drink too as the same time. So I'm not sure who did the work or was it both?
To my total surprise when I checked the BP this morning it was 120/80, a number I was striving to achieve for a very long time.
Let see how long it will last - I pray for the best.

He may have fructose intolerence, apple cider vinegar will make it so much worse. Look up fructose malabsorbtion, this will cause high bp due to sending the endocrine system into overdrive trying to compensate (by lowering or raising hormone levels to attack the invader - it is no different than a food allergy) It can present at any time in life. 30 percent of the population has it, but only ten percent are symptomatic. Go LOW FODMAP; FODMAPS are an acryonm recent discovery, it breaks down food types by the sugars they convert into upon consumption; Avoid apples, pears, F is for frutans, not saying avoid all fruit, Vegetables that contain high fructose are onions, garlic, asparagus, cabbages, etc... Just those with more fructose than glucose; Some beans, like baked beans, chick peas, kidney beans, high galactans; Reduce lactose; use real butter only, lactose free ; milk; and hard cheeses only, no yogurt or soft cheeses; Avoid ALL FAT FREE AND REDUCED SUGAR AND SUGAR FREE; as these products are made from pure fructose and do convert once consumed; will deal me great issue; White sugar is best; real sugar is best; avoid all colored drinks and foods and processed foods will have garlic, onlions, MSG, INULIN... oh the list goes on; avoid them all, stick to short ingredient foods prepared at home! Hope this helps.

Hi, sorry if this duplicates what you have already been advised but 2 things I know lower blood pressure are potassium( such as eating bananas) and garlic. But really there must be a reason why you have high blood pressure that should be addressed as well. I should think that anything that thins the blood like aspirin for example would help to lower your blood pressure too. Reiki lowers blood pressure too if you are interested, it always sends me to sleep! Just some ideas for you.

Hi Hil -I also tried the ACV for over a month quite a while back and it did not help.
What might be of assistance to you would be magnesium oil and also salt loading.
Please go to a search engine to find the info for the salt loading protocol. It is powerful and effective , when following the directions, and always using pure sea salt or celtic salt. The combination of using the magnesium oil and sea salt protocol calms my heart profoundly without fail.
It also helps to walk 1-2 miles each day and to feel appreciation of one's life and connection to the earth and source energy whenever possible.

I have read that the calcium we eat when we are older goes into our arteries and blood instead of our bones and it calcifies our arteries. We need vit k2 to dissolve this. I just ordered two bottles. I read 500-1,000 mg to take. I will try that since the arginine did not work for me even tho I took it for four months.

Avoid Grains
Posted by Pluto (New York, Ny, Usa) on 07/31/2011
I had "idiopathic" high blood pressure, around 160/80 when I went to the doc for a far-removed complaint a couple of years ago. He gave me drugs. They lowered it, but I also felt shaky from them; I took them for about 5 months and suddenly I got a physical depression. It was the kind where I liternally could not get out of bed. It took superhuman strength to get myself out of bed and haul myself off to the doc who didn't get this at all.
I got in touch with a caridologist who gave me permission to stop the damn things.
By now, though, the depression was so bad I could not eat and I was losing wieght so rapidly I looked like a scarecrow and was literally falling out of my clothes (I hope it doesn't happen to you, but it really does happen -- you fall OUT of them. So weird).
What happened was this natural fast (it seems nature did impose this on me) allowed my BP to drop within a month to 123/80. Weird.
Long story short: I emerged from this drug-induced, last straw depression and started living normally again. Next doc visit, gee, BP was rising again.
Finally, I put 2 2 together. Divine inspiration. It must be my diet! I was vegetarian. You would think this is a good thing. Apparently, not for me. Grains were killing me. The mainstay of my diet. But they were something I was not eathing while not eating (see above). I was only eating cartons and cartons of yogurt back then.
Sooooo, I quit grains (flours, pastas, rice the usual, also potatoes) and sugars (including honey, etc) cold turkey. Next doc visit, 3 months later (I swore I would get bp down "naturally") I clocked in at 110/70. No meds.
OK, I dumped the grains and I eat fish and poultry. But look at the change! And my gums no longer bleed when I floss.
I am 55, female, slender. Five foot, five and a half inches tall. Type O . I always had a good figure even at my 140 lb high (I still looked slender. Good muscles, I guess) but doing the no-grains, no-sugar has reduced me to 125, just like that. No pain. (In case you're wondering -- no booze! )
I am sorry as all heck that I can't be a vegetarian. But I simply cannot.

Hi Hillary - both my husband and I keep our blood pressure under control with Q10 and liquid Olive Leaf. The Olive Leaf especially is amazing, it brings our blood pressure down without any problems. Q10 requires LCarnitine (an amino acid) and MSM powder to lock it in. Because Q10 is fat soluble I take it with whole milk. All of these are easily obtainable, at least they are here in Australia. We also use Strauss Heart Drops which are produced in Canada. Strangely you can buy them in NZ but not here. I have no idea why, so I'm not sure whether you can buy them or not. Just google them for more info. They really are wonderful although they taste foul. Good luck Marlane Ellis

Hilary, would you believe this... I also got stung by a bee and took benedryl. I didn't put two and two together until I read your post. I went to a massage therapist and she took my blood pressure. It was 176/103. I couldn't believe it so when I got home I took it on my machine and it was 156/95 which was better but still way too high and had me worried. It stayed pretty high like that so I came to Earth Clinic and read about taking Lemon Juice with Cream of Tarter. You will have to look it up for the exact instructions but I used the juice of 1/2 lemon and instead of using 2 teaspoons of cream of tarter, I only used one. It tastes fine. I did add a little honey to sweeten it and threw in a shake of red pepper. My blood pressure dropped like a rock! I did that for about three days and then my blood pressure was so good I just stopped. My blood pressure this morning is 116/70. I'm happy with that. A big thanks to whoever posted that remedy. After reading your post, I'm wondering if the Benedryl is what caused it to get so high. It has been getting a little bit higher this year and the Doc has been threatening me with medication so I am very grateful this remedy is working.

Whatever it did it worked like a charm.
High Blood Pressure/Adrenal Connection

dear friends
i am a new member of this great website. having had problems over the years with my high bp...my doctors have finally come to the conclusion that the cause is my adrenal gland. no medication would work or had very bad side effects. with the bp rising to almost 190/144..and even more if a bad day, i had several tests done - which showed that my adrenal gland produces too much of aldesterone. after a final test to see which adrenal gland is playing up - which i can tell you was painful and very long...yippi...we found it was the left one...or was it...?
of course, the docs are not determined to remove the adrenal gland to bring my bp back to normal, or so they say. however, i am not convinced that this stressful test is reliable and what are problems coming after?
i am very curious to hear about anyone's experiences with alternative remedies to this problem - i know, i have to loose a bit of weight and i am quite busy in my job. i do however do a daily walk with our dog and have recently started with a shiatsu massage.. but i would be so so so so grateful for your help and feedback because i do worry about it all and want to find a solution and get healthy.

High Blood Pressure/Adrenal Connection
Posted by Aria (Port Huron, Mi) on 01/26/2011
In response to Susan: I have a similar situation. A few years ago I was a normal weight, maybe slightly underweight due to a slightly overactive thyroid. Overall, I was healthy and I have always had LOW blood pressure. Usually averaged about 150/50. Over the last several months my health has declined rapidly. I have gained about 60 pounds, I have rashes around my eyes and mouth, my hair is falling out, and my memory is failing. There are many other things but those are among the most troubling. I had an electrolyte panel done and my potassium, sodium, and bun levels were all low. I requested a test for ADH but, for some reason, it was not done. When I asked my doctor about it, he told me it was done and it was normal; however, I had acquired a copy of the results without his knowledge and I knew that was a false statement.
Yesterday, I went to a rheumatologist and, although she has no idea what is wrong with me, she requested more blood work. She is having my serum cortisol tested, as well as aldosterone to renin ratio. I didn't even have to ask. I do not have the results yet but I will post as soon as I find out.
What was interesting is she told me that there is a type of high blood pressure that is linked to low potassium. She has that problem herself and she takes blood pressure medication (which raises potassium) along with two potassium tablets daily. She said she's not sure if that's what is happening to me but she would look into it. I guess it's rare but I don't recall what she called it. I take potassium daily and it seems my body can't get enough. I take tablets everywhere I go so that when my muscles begin to tighten I can take one. If I don't then I start having muscle spasms and heart palpitations. I don't understand why my body is using so much potassium but I hope to find out.
I would appreciate any additional information on this topic that might help.

Apple Cider Vinegar, Cayenne

★★★★☆
I have been taking cayenne pepper for the past 6 weeks, 1 teaspoon three times per day. I have been feeling unwell for years and came across this site. Made a bit of difference. I felt the best I have for years, although still not real good. I am about 7 lb overweight and exercise daily and have a healthy diet. I have all the symptoms of hypothyroidism (palpitations, difficulty losing weight, lightheadedness, slightly elevated cholesterol, high triglycerides, anxiety, etc.) but blood tests are normal. My blood pressure has been good since taking the cayenne pepper. However last week it went very high for 4 days. I had much more mucous than normal and may have had a sinus infection. I started taking ACV for my blood pressure and it has finally come down. My cold symptoms have also got much better. My questions are:
Is it better to take Cayenne pepper or ACV or can they be taken together? Also can having a slight infection make blood pressure rise? Look forward to getting some answers.
Low Carb Diet

Hi Miriam.
I have been posting here for years now. Somewhere on here, I said that I believed sugars ( Carbs ) contributed as much to Higher blood pressure as does sodium. I also find that diet effects my blood pressure by as much as 15 to 20 points.
So yea, I think you might be on the right track about those carbs.
I think the key is to stay hydrated, but keeping the kidneys flushed. Asparagus extract can help keep kidneys flushed also.
